These guys are a little more than just a pizza place hence the "Restaurant" in their name. They also have burgers and pasta dishes on their menu. I love to patronize local places but these guys can't measure up to the competition. I find their food under seasoned and just plain. I visit them everyone once in a while hoping things will change. I'm still hoping! Cenzos is about one minute down the street and Hooptys is a minute in the other direction. Either one is much better. read more

I live in the area and this is one of the places we occasionally get takeout from, although not our number one go-to. I will say they are consistent and I have never had a problem with my order. As for the pizza, there are about a million places to get pizza in Havertown so this place is personally not a competitor for me. The pizza is not bad at all, it is the "greek" style type. But, like I said with so many good pizza places nearby there are others in Havertown that are a lot better. Now, what I normally order from here is the cheesesteaks which are delicious! They aren't the same as going into the city, but they are the best I have found around here. So overall, great cheesesteaks and okay pizza. Prices are reasonable. 3 and a half yelps. read more

Havertown Pizza is consistent. My 14 yo loves the pizza. It's a bit thicker crust than I like. This is a sizable space, so much so that we have had several youth team dinners here and all can sit. Whoever answered the phone to express they shut the Place down BEFORE closing is not the type of person I would want to be answering my phones and if it's the owner that's even worse! For someone like us who orders there 3- 4 nights a week AT LEAST that's BAD business...... Express to me your there all day and explain why you closed early because your tired.... Went the other night because their bacon pizza USED to be awesome, not the case anymore. I agree with the Moose I think it's the conveyor belt oven. Avoid the wings at all costs, they taste like they were tossed in mixture of hot sauce and ketchup, heavy on the ketchup. Their better days are in the past, try another pizza location in the area. Standard pizza place although the 6 pack offerings bring the review up a star. I always go for the buffalo chicken Stromboli with extra hot sauce. Full of chicken, good amount of heat and the cheese is perfectly melted. A large is huge to be ready to split it with at least one other person or you'll have a few left over meals. I haven't had their pizza but every time I stop in to pick up my boli I see tons of pizzas flying out the door. The owners and staff are super friendly and very reasonable, I put in special requests all the time and they are more than accommodating. I make a lot of pizzas at home, but my dough skills are not yet up to snuff. That is why I always come to havertown pizza, they sell me a large dough for $2.50. Most pizza joints in the area will not sell dough - do they really think that their dough is so special that I'm going to try and replicate it and sell it for a profit and somehow use those earnings to put them out of business? Ordered on Sunday December 1,2019 the lady that answered the phone was everything you could ask for from someone taking your order over the phone repeated the back to me, and the order was 100% accurate when it showed up. The food here is below average...their pizza has a crust that is consistent with that of a fine cardboard box and their sandwiches are average at best. The only positive I would give this place is their beer selection for take out. They have a GREAT assortment of 6-packs for takeout and their prices aren't outrageous. Let me just preface this with the fact that we have been ordering from Havertown pizza for years. Almost every party we've had we order a chicken finger tray from them and it's always a hit. So as per usual I called Havertown pizza this past week to place a catering order. The young girl on the phone put the owner on who proceeded to scream into the phone that he was too busy to take an order and if i wanted it I'd have to call back. Ok got it- you're busy. But there is a way to talk to costumers that doesn't make them want to never support you again. His exact words were "I can't even think right now. Call back" and hung up on me I've heard from many people the owners were complete jerks but never experienced it myself. Long story short, i called another local shop and placed my catering order there. I will never support this place going forward. You lost a loyal customer. read more

Great sandwiches and pizza is okay. Wings are cooked great,however almost every time we ask for Hot or xtra Hit they place us on hold and have to check to see if they have enough Hot Sauce. Not sure why they can't have a large jar of Hot sauce ready for folks ordering wings like every other pizza shop I've ordered wings from before. I've only started coming here in the last few months but I really enjoy this place. Everyone is always so friendly when you walk in the door, and the wait is never ridiculously too long. It's always clean and never have to wait to order. Their mozzarella sticks are awesome and so is there pizza. It's a bit cheesier than other places so if you're not into that, you Might want to look elsewhere. They also have a nice little beer selection. I've had to update this because ever since moving this place has issues. I don't get it but the pizza is different. I think its the oven that makes it different but again ever since they moved the pizza is NOT the same! I have had this happen to me a few times now and the conclusion is the oven. One of the only pizza shops in Havertown creates somewhat a monopoly on the town. It reflects in their pricing. Although the food is decent it's difficult to muster up 9 bucks for a small personal pizza when pizza hut is 10 for a large supreme. Or even 8.75 for a small salad. This place has the absolute best turkey hoagies on the planet. The ingredients are always fresh...white bread, high quality turkey and provolone, sweet peppers, oil/vinegar, and oregano. We order pizza from here about once a week. They're large will not be the big flat pizza like other locations and theirs is smaller in circumference but a but thicker. They're delivery is prompt (45min max on a Saturday night) and we've never gotten a cold pizza. Unsure on the rest of their menu but for pizza we like them a lot. Forgive my language, but this place is fucking phenomenal!!!! I've come into Havertown Pizza many times with weird, off-the-menu requests and have been accommodated every single time. Their strombolis are the best thing I've ever eaten... Especially if you ask for a cheesesteak Stromboli with American cheese, dry... With the sauce on the side to dip it into. The regular wing sauce was crafted by the Gods and secretly handed down to this quaint Pizza shop... Don't believe me... just ask for a side of hot sauce with your order. The extra-hot wing sauce is great too... Not quite my cup of tea. (Again... Forgive my language, but...) The staff here is always working hard as shit but sooo pleasant. Always striving to make sure your order is as you want it when phoning orders in. They ask a lot of questions, but you can tell that they just want to get your order right... My wife and I love pizza, and recently moved back to this area from Las Vegas. After sampling several main line pizza joints, we finally found "the one." Everyone has their own tastes, but in my opinion, Havertown pizza is hands down, the tastiest pizza in the Phila area. My wife and I usually eat pizza once per week, and with few exceptions (to continue sampling other establishments), we will continue making Havertown Pizza our number one stop.
