Description of what services i paid for
    Roger H.

I booked a 80 mins body treatment for my wife's birthday sunday since we were staying at the waterfront hotel. Here is a description below of what was offered at $250: huntington healing body scrub and wrap 80 minutes Sea and Earth, seaweed and clay, combine to help to soothe, detoxify, re-mineralize, and nourish. Crafted for total mind and body relaxation, the journey begins with a warm towel ritual to soothe, pamper and relax. Next, a ginger-lime aromatic body polish of sugar cane, noni, sunflower, coconut and pumpkin oils effectively nourishes and sloughs away rough skin. After, a warm French green clay, peppermint and seaweed mask is applied to help detox and purify by stimulating circulation. The treatment is finished off with a warm, nourishing body butter, leaving skin soothed and glowing. Here is what happened: My wife went to the spa at 10am sunday morning and the masseuse was Michelle who was nice but did not do a good job because she just tried to drag out the time focusing on only a few areas. Of all the treatments above she only received the body polish. After massage was done my wife complained and the spa told her "oh we are actually out the products required." This is ridiculous and i am quite upset at the lack of professionalism. Nobody had even notified us this prior to showing up. The spa said they would offer an additional 15% off but that still does not make up for it. Spending $225 tip included (they automatically included 20% in the bill too)for a mediocre basic massage without all the services above is unacceptable. I spoke with Michael and voiced my complaints on Sunday evening. Michael said he would get back to me promptly after speaking with management. It has already been 24 hours and i have not received a response. I have also left a voicemail. Save your time and money. Avoid this spa at all costs. Literally the birthday surprise for my wife was ruined.

My wife and I had a good time here. we got a resort pass so we had access to the spa and the pools for $100 per person for the day. That was a pretty good deal even though the pool was rather busy the spa was almost empty. The staff at the spa was very friendly and helped us find food and our way around the hotel. The inside of the spa is very well stocked and very clean. The outside patio is quaint but nice and has a dozen or so places to sit in the shade. The men's side has a nice TV/reading room. they have water and snacks available as well as hot tea in each side. The sauna and the steam room were also nice and I was by myself since the men's doesn't get very busy which was nice. the only reason they didn't get a five star review at this spa is the men's jacuzzi is pretty as long as nobody else is using it it is fine but if there is so much as another person in there you might as well be a couple. there's a spot right next door that has a huge jacuzzi inside the facility. We will still come back because it's a great deal, and everybody is really nice.

    Outdoor vibes.

My sister and I came to Drift for my 36th birthday spa treat. I highly recommend the experience to anyone. We were able to valet our vehicle at no add'l cost. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating even after the Air Show traffic caused us to be a few mins late. The spa is very clean and provides all the standard amenities (sauna, steam room, beautiful garden chill area, small hot pool - even with a disability chair, showers, and all the supplies following the treatment). The rooms were spot on, clean and welcoming. At first, I was intimidated for a guy masseuse but Virgil ended up being a great choice. He helped alleviate my pain in my lower back from long distance driving, and always made sure that I was enjoying the massage. Jaida (spelling?), the staff support in the spa area, was incredibly helpful, even after we had a food ordering issue. The front desk team were very kind as well. Liberal a good experience. We even got treated with complimentary champagne for our birthday celebrations. Thank you for making my birthday spa day a good one.

This place is absolutely gorgeous. It almost fit the complete bill for being at a high end hotel…read moreright by the water. My boyfriend and I booked a couples massage here on a sunny Saturday. Having booked the service, we were allowed to utilize the amenities located in the spa. In order to get to the spa (if you're not staying in the hotel), you had to drive into the front entrance of the hotel. This is located on the side opposite of PCH. The only real option to park is through valet service which the spa takes care of as part of the cost of the service. Our massages were booked for 2pm but we arrived around 11:30am to have lunch and enjoy the amenities. The food was pretty good and the servings were plentiful. We got a chicken Cesar wrap and the charcuterie board. You're able to eat and have the food brought over just like you were ordering room service, it was definitely room service cost and they charged for delivery to the garden. After we finished eating, we lounged in the garden to catch some sun. This is the part where I say that it almost fit the bill... the weather loved tents providing shade had mold on the canvas. Maybe it was just weather warn because it does stay outside all year round? Not sure but I'm thinking that it definitely looked like mold to me. After the sun, we enjoyed the indoor amenities of steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. For me, there a few other patrons enjoying the amenities but my boyfriend said that he pretty much had the men's locker room all to himself. My favorite part about the amenities was the shower. The shower had a rainfall shower, a handheld shower and then several steam shower heads on three of the walls. The products in the shower smelled great and I would definitely use them again. For our massages, we have the couples suite. The room was absolutely gorgeous complete with 2 massage tables, 2 sinks, a gorgeous tub, 2 separate showers this beautiful stone piece on the far wall. Massages were great and relaxing. After the massages, our massage therapists led us out to the garden again to pretty much recover from the service and it was definitely needed. Upon checking it out from our service, we perused the gift shop. There were cute clothing pieces there as well as the products that were utilized as part of some of the services. When paying, they let us know that the gratuity was already covered in the cost so that was nice. Given the cost for each service, I thought it was a generous but also fair tip. Because we finished late afternoon, we decided to walk down to the pier and venture around there. We were able to keep the car there and the hotel bellman allowed us to store our gym bags in the hotel as well, all at no extra cost. If I was looking to splurge again, I would probably come back. What would sweeten the deal is if we were able to use the hotel pool too but they said that it is only allowed during the weekdays when the pool isn't too busy.

Great…read moreamenities, great spa menu, beautiful location, atmosphere and etc. what really set this one apart was the amazing people here This spa is located in the Hyatt regency on gorgeous PCH. I used to frequent this hotel a lot for their amazing restaurant- Watertable (that's a whole other review) Calling to book the appointment was very easy. I had to put a credit card down (like most spas) my treatment was at 1:15 and the woman on the phone told me I could get there as early as 9 AM to use all the amenities (pool, sauna and etc) When I arrived, Vincent, was working valet and helped me out. He showed me exactly how to get to the spa. (You get free valet parking with your spa service) I will say, the spa is pretty far from the main hotel lobby entrance. It does have nice views and the place is spotless. It is easy to find though. They have tons of signs pointing you into the direction of the spa. Once you get to the spa it's tucked away in gorgeous greenery with a little bridge that takes you over a little koi fish pond When I got to the spa, the girl at the desk was amazing (I wish I got the names of everyone) she checked me in, she asked if I had any allergies, asked if I had any health issues they needed to be aware of and etc. She was on point. She then asked if it was my first time there (it was my first time) so then she immediately paged another staff member to show me around. She gave me the whole walk through, showed me how to use the lockers and everything. She was great as well I did use the sauna before and after my 50 minute massage which included hot stones They had a lovely water station with your typical spa water. They also had a big bucket of ice (which I love having ice. The colder my drink, the better) They also had a tea station. They had honey, cinnamon sticks and other things at the tea station available. Yet you have to go to the desk to ask for the tea bags When I got to the waiting room (relaxation room where you wait to be called for your treatment) they had a lovely set up. Really nice comfortable couches, they had chairs right by the fireplace, they had fruit, they had some baked goods and then I saw the menu for food you can order and they had drinks you could order (food and drinks were for a price. But the little baked goods were free) they had a banana bread and these delicious bars with jam. They also had a variety of nuts, trail mix and etc with little cups you could put them in I had the pleasure of getting Brittney. She was absolutely great. She took me to the treatment room and gave me a minute to get undressed and situated on the table. She asked if the table was warm enough for me. She was great at asking if I wanted light or medium. I told her just to wing it. I did have a LOT of knots in my back on the right side. So she went for it lol. The pressure was at times a little too hard for my taste. But if it makes me feel better in the long run, I don't mind. Plus, I could have told her to lighten up at any time. I really did not want this to end. I felt great afterwards. They had very clean showers They had everything from mouth wash, spray deodorant, hair dryers to use and everything else you'd find at your nice spas. They have a cute little shop where you check in / check out. They had a good amount of different beauty products, jewelry, clothing and other things you'd find at a place like this. The girl who checked me out was great (again, I wish I got the names of everyone) I would 100 percent come back. I'd love to have a girls day here with friends or try one of their facials next time I would have loved to take more photos of the spa, but please remember cell phone use is not for spas. Especially since smart phones have cameras on them and guests are walking around in bathing suits / just towels and changing. So be respectful of that

This was our first stay at the Pasea and so much of it was great!…read more PROS We bought our two young dogs and two kids and it was a great experience traveling with them! First of all, the people who work here are so nice! Peter was always smiling and giving the dogs treats (with permission every time). I swear they started looking for him- and they're pretty anxious around people. There are no dogs allowed in the pool area which I get but it makes it a little tough to juggle the kids wanting to swim for hours and not leaving the dogs unattended in the room. The beds were comfy and they have a built in sound machine system and it was the first time I have ever see that! I loved it! I struggle to sleep in hotels but wasn't bothered by any noise. The hotel is right across from the beach and next to an outdoor shopping mall. We walked to and from multiple times on our trip and it was nice to be close by! They also have beach chairs, towels and sand toys to borrow! They have adult bikes but nothing for the kids so we didn't utilize those. The restaurant is good with dog friendly seating and gluten free options. We had dinner there only. CONS the dog park is so cute and convenient but it wasn't sprayed off at all while we were there and since it was plastic grass, there was poo smeared all over the place. It was hard to find a spot to stand and you hope your dog doesn't walk through it. It also smells like warm pee. We were still grateful for it but I think a small patch of real grass would have been less gross! The fee for dogs is $150 a night and that adds up quickly! The bathrooms are not practical for families. They don't lock, the toilet room has fogged clear glass with big gaps so no one could be in the bathroom getting ready or showering if anyone else was in the toilet room. Also, there was a slider on the outside of the shower that allows the entire room to see you in the shower which was odd. I understand the desire for this if it was a couples trip but why not have the sliding door on the inside so the naked person can make the decision rather than anyone on the outside deciding to open it mid-shower? Parking is a whopping $60 a night plus there is only valet which means you either tip every single time you pull your car in or out or you feel like a jerk. The valet guys were great and we wanted to tip everyone but ran out of small cash bills quickly. We stayed two nights and had to pull our car out 4 times which is 8 tips. When you're paying $120 to park that's crazy! The jacuzzi is just warm not hot and the jets when on are cold! That was bummer. Overall I don't think we will return because there are so many awesome hotels in the area to try but we did enjoy our stay and found it worth the money! The Shorebreak Hotel doesn't charge for dogs so we will be going there next time!

"There was nothing she could do" i then went for the hotel manager to see if they could step in and they weren't in, asked for the next person in charge she wouldn't even come out of the back room - just sent the front desk girl back to tell me she can't do anything... despite being incredible respectful and kind and literally begging for 5 hours for an umbrella there was "nothing to be done" i even asked for the cabana boys umbrella that wasn't being used in the corner... finally after hours of asking our amazing poolside waitress who kept fighting for us Natalie asked the people who weren't using one of the TWO umbrellas they had for the sun bed they generously gave it to us. We were so grateful.... Soo basically bring down the hand held umbrella in the closet HAHA cause you're screwed... not sure why the hotel doesn't have more umbrellas considering it's $600 a night.... And it's ridiculous to pay $300 for an umbrella basically. Hopefully they figure out the umbrella situation multiple people were pissed. ALSO- Peter best bell hop in the whole place! He's absolutely incredible and kind. He's extremely helpful with everything. Definitely request him

It was one of the best massages I've had here! Jess was so good, my husband was snoring. Lol! So make sure your drink a lot of water. After our session was over, we dressed and came out to Jess and Keiko awaiting with water in hand for us. We sat in the little waiting room and had a cup of herbal tea, relaxed a little bit more. It was a super relaxing afternoon. Love all there products avaliable in the lobby. Jewelry, beauty products, cute tote bags, incense, healing stones..I picked up a couple heart-shaped rose quartz so we can remember this day. Be kind to your body and definitely book a visit soon!

Came here for the second time this weekend, got the scrub and gold massage for $210, which comes…read morewith access to the whole facility (usually $40 without a service). We booked reservations ahead of time. This is an ASIAN spa, which means clothing is not present on the gender specific sides (they give you a pink or brown cotton shorts and t shirt uniform to wear in the common area). My favorite thing is to bring a book and read in the common area after my treatment , and also eat lunch at the Korean restaurant. Highly recommend doing this as at least a 4 hour excursion, you can stay up to 6 hours (which we did ). I like that the services are also pretty comprehensive if you do the most expensive one (face mask, hair wrap, full body etc ) Pros: - the actual spa service itself is quite luxurious - I had Sumi and she did a fantastic job scrubbing off all my dead skin, I feel super exfoliated and very soft afterwards. I was so relaxed during my gold wrap that I fell asleep LOL. And the Asian style massage was great, especially on the back and shoulders. - the sheer variety of amenities outside of the appointment are great too - I recommend coming at least an hour earlier than your appointment so you can take advantage of the hot tubs, wet sauna, and fire and forest rooms that make you sweat - co-ed with separate gender sides for the actual spa, and then a joint common area where you wear your uniforms and are clothed. Great for couples if you want to try something new together ! - the Korean restaurant inside the spa is actually so good - solid Korean style street food and the bingsoo is so good (medium is easily shareable between 2-3 people) - easy to use locker keys - lovely common area with heated floors, TVs playing the World Cup, and some massage chairs - I do really love the ice room in the common area Cons: - I'm soooo glad we came on the earlier side around 9am on a Saturday because it got VERY busy later in the day after 12noon. Honestly some people were very loud and disrespectful in the common area where talking isn't supposed to be allowed - straight up talking on the phone or having full conversations. Not a fan if you're trying to relax and have peace - I almost wish I brought loop ear plugs. Probably more a complaint about the clientele than the actual service - because it's so popular, the reservation appointment times don't become available until 1-2 weeks beforehand Overall - I definitely would come back again just because the service appointment is so good and it feels good to get exfoliated and massaged. The one thing I do wish they had more availability is a scalp focused section of the massage, but I can't be that made haha 10/10 but I wish loud culturally unaware people would stop coming here and ignoring directions Tips: - helpful to bring cash for tip (they give you an envelope at the end of your treatment that sometimes has a Venmo account but not always ) - if you like showering with your own shampoo and conditioner, bring it. They also have hairdryers there but bring your hair tools or moisturizer if you want to use it after your service ! - no one actually cares that you're naked and it's not as weird as you think it is, everyone's in their own zone having a relaxing time - book an early appointment time so you don't have to compete for tub or shower space!

Coming from an American perspective, being completely naked around strangers felt very foreign at first, but it was honestly fascinating to experience a different culture where that's completely normal. I got used to it much faster than I expected, and it really wasn't a big deal. I booked the scrub and massage package. The body scrub was AMAZING. Almost a week later and my skin still feels incredibly soft. Definitely the highlight of the spa services for me. The massage itself was just okay. It included a facial with some type of cream and shaved cucumber slices, which left my skin feeling nice and soft, but I've definitely had better massages. Between the bright lights, being completely exposed, and being rushed to sit up, move over, and switch positions, it was a little hard to fully relax. Now let's talk about the food, because WOW. I forgot the menu number, but I ordered the Korean ribs along with the tofu, beef and shrimp soup, and both were absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and comforting. Honestly, I would come back just for the food alone. Overall, I'd happily return for another scrub and a meal. The massage wasn't my favorite, but the experience itself was memorable and gave me a new appreciation for a tradition that's so different from what many of us are used to.

Jamie recommended Louis for deep tissue work, and he was exactly what I was looking for. He was professional, thorough, and clearly very experienced. He checked in throughout the session, listened to my concerns, and knew exactly where to focus. For the first time in a long time, I walked out feeling like a completely different person. The tightness and pain I had been dealing with were significantly improved, and I finally felt like I received the deep tissue treatment I had originally been looking for. I also want to thank Jamie for being such an attentive owner. She took my feedback seriously, followed up personally, and genuinely wanted to make things right. That level of customer service is rare and says a lot about how she runs her business. I've already booked my next 80-minute massage with Louis in two weeks and am happy to remain a member. In fact, after this experience, I'd even recommend The NOW to my husband. Sometimes the true measure of a business is how they respond when a customer isn't completely satisfied. Jamie and her team exceeded my expectations, and I'm grateful she encouraged me to give them another chance.

I was able to try their 55 minute Swedish massage. The ambiance inside is dark, calming, and they have ocean waves as audio going. It is amazing. The set up is cute and aesthetic, they have a basket or hanger for your clothing and a bowl for your jewelry. The massage bed is heated so it is nice and warm in there. You won't get cold. They also have a sheet and a sheep skin looking top blanket that adds a small amount of weight that is enjoyable. Prior to walking in there's a small area where you can talk to your massage therapist and let them know about any preferences, ad ons or problematic areas. The only thing I did not like was that the lotion used leaves such an uncomfortable feeling on the skin. I don't know what exactly they use but I could just *feel* the layer of lotion sitting in top of my skin. I was itching to take a shower. It was not my cup of tea. Jo was amazing! I had so much joy and relaxation out of my massage. I had plenty of knots that she found in my upper shoulders but I did not choose to get the deep massage because I definitely would be crying and biting on the bed. My knots are crraaazyyyy so slowly but surely I'll be able to handle them coming out. I know home girl was like "this girl has some terrible shoulders" but everything is a-ok. She applied the appropriate amount of pressure and is receptive to feedback. The service overall was extremely friendly. They have complimentary water with citrus or regular water. Parking is in the garage or on the street. They do have a restroom.

Upon arriving at the front desk, they give you a spa outfit, some towels, and a wristband. The wristband unlocks your shoe locker and your separate clothing locker. The hot tub area is fully nude whereas the common areas are clothed. I went to grab some dinner and had the croaker fish. The service was fast and easy. The food is a little pricey but their meals came with a lot of bonchon so it made up for the cost! After dinner, I checked out the charcoal room, ice room and salt room. All the rooms were clean and had plenty of space for relaxing! Finally, I had a body scrub appointment at 8pm. I booked the scrub with Jenny and it was an experience! For those who never had a korean body scrub before, you have to soak in the hot tub for 20-30 mins. Then your masseuse will call your name and bring you in the side room. Then you lie on your back on the table and get the ultimate scrub down! I felt so much lighter after the scrub. My skin tone was even and felt baby soft. Then she also give you a cucumber facial and wash your hair for you! My hair was super silky and smooth. They have dyson hair dryers in the women locker rooms which made it easy for me to get ready. Then, when I was ready to checkout, I brought the clothes and wristband to the front desk and I was out of there!
