I purchased the 45 minute Prenatal 2nd trimester massage. Nikki A was amazing! I had never done a prenatal massage before and was curious how a massage lying on your side would feel... But the massage was one of the best massages I have ever had. I feel very relaxed and the tension in my neck is so much better. I definitely will be requesting Nikki when I go back. I received a gift card to Spa Gregorie's and scheduled an appointment for a facial. Booking was easy, and the scheduler was very kind. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised by the entryway, which featured a variety of products, and the front desk staff was welcoming. However, there were a few hiccups with my experience. I initially booked a 60-minute facial but was scheduled for 75 minutes instead. Thankfully, they accommodated my request to adjust the time. Once I entered the locker room, I found the space underwhelming. The flooring felt more commercial than spa-like, and there was no noticeable relaxing aroma or soft music, which I expected. The locker room itself felt more like an upscale gym bathroom rather than a tranquil spa retreat. While they provided robes, the one I received was visibly worn and tattered, which I also noticed on another guest's robe. This is an easy fix that should be addressed immediately. The relaxation area was comfortable, and the sofas were a nice touch. However, the décor was outdated, and the space could benefit from a design refresh. Despite being the first appointment of the day, my service started late, which unfortunately cut into my treatment time. Inside the facial room, the bed lacked warmth--something I typically expect during a spa treatment. Looking up, I noticed the vents were old and dusty, which was not ideal when lying face-up for an extended period. The facial itself was fine, but the flow felt disjointed. At one moment, my face was being cleansed, and the next, my hand was being massaged. While the massage was nice, it didn't feel cohesive within the treatment. I had also requested extractions, but I don't believe I actually received them, as I didn't feel any of the usual techniques used for blackhead removal. One thing the spa does well is its investment in quality skincare products. The serums, lotions, and sunscreen applied at the end smelled wonderful and felt great on my skin. Another issue worth mentioning is that the photos on the Google Maps page don't seem to reflect the Newport Beach location. This could create misleading expectations for first-time visitors. Overall, Spa Gregorie's has potential, especially given its location in Newport Beach, but it could benefit from some updates and more attention to detail. I would highly recommend management consider bringing in a secret shopper to experience these issues firsthand. Many of the concerns I noted--like worn-out robes, dusty vents, and outdated spaces--are things employees likely see daily, yet they haven't been addressed. My experience with Jen Guest was exceptionally relaxing from start to finish. She clearly knows how to care for your skin, her knowledge and expertise show in every step of the facial. Jen is considered a Master Esthetician based on her experience and knowledge so if you choose her, you will have a wonderful facial. I loved that from the moment we began she wanted to focus on addressing any needs or requests I had to ensure that I left completely satisfied. She did not try any pushy sales either. She explained the products benefits and ingredients when I asked about them. All the products used were top notch quality. I enjoyed a facial, neck and hand massage which added to the luxuriously pampering experience! The spa itself is clean, elegant, and peaceful. It is convenient to schedule an appointment and the staff are very accommodating. After the facial, I left with my skin glowing and my stress melted away. My husband had booked us massages for it for Valentine's Day weekend. He booked a " couples massage." Usually when you book a couples massage they are in the same room, however, they do not have a couples room here. It just means at the same time but two separate rooms. We did mention something to them and they did apologize and were very kind about it agreeing it should have been explained better at the time of appointment. I liked my therapist as she did give me a good massage and gave me a deeper massage like I like. I also told her I run so she focused on my legs a lot which was nice. The spa itself is a bit outdated as it has been there for many years. Not as " upscaled" as I thought it would be but definitely gets the job done and has a sauna. read more

Had a great first experience at Spa Gregorie's yesterday! My friend booked us massages and to my surprise Spa Gregorie's was an actual day spa complete with locker rooms, comfy robes, showers, sauna and a quiet room. It's way bigger than you think walking in, but is a nice reprieve from a busy spa like Burke Williams. I had a one hour massage with Joy, who was fantastic - she gave me specific recommendations on how to reduce the stress and tension in my body and to help me sleep better. In addition to massages, they offer facials, haircuts, and mani/pedis. The front is stocked with products and goodies, and yummy spa water, tea and snacks are found throughout the facility. It can be a little tough to find, but thankfully there's a banner on Newport Center on the backside of the building. Looking forward to my next visit! read more

Disappointingly, I had an overall poor experience at this location and will not be returning here again. The majority of the negative experience was due to someone at the front desk. She was lackadaisical and irresponsible. I have several examples but will not get into them all here. One of the unprofessional things she did was that she left me hanging after inviting me to wait. Based on her "guidance", I decided to wait what was supposed to be an half hour. She did not pass the baton before signing off for the day. She should have either reviewed her relevant remaining tasks with her front desk colleague and/or passed on the message to the other staff I was waiting for. I was led to believe that the staff I was waiting for would come find me in the Quiet Room. No such thing happened. Neither the other front desk person nor the other staff knew I was still waiting. Thank you for misleading me and leaving me to wait what would have been endlessly. Disrespectful of other's precious time and a lack of commitment in customer service. The Front Desk is the first and last impression and experience a customer has with any business. Food for thought. read more

Had an amazing massage with RANELLE! She provided me with a 45 minute massage and focused on the main area where I had some shoulder pain after being 4 months postpartum. She recommended I add the CBD oil which I was so happy that I did because it definitely made my massage more relaxing. I was able to keep the little bottle and will be brining it back for a longer massage because 45 minutes was a little short. I definitely will be doing a full hour next time. Really poor customer service. Massages were not 60 minutes. They felt rushed. My massage was actually ok but it was cut short. And she offered me CBD but didn't say it was an extra charge. She only worked on my back and didn't touch another part of my body. We were right on time but the front desk lady had issues with our gift card, which should have been handled after anyways. My partners massage was awful. She wished it was over the whole time. The lady was also not polite. We made a complaint about the time being cut Short, and there was zero apology or anything. Really unfortunate. My dad got me this for Christmas gift for working so hard lately and I couldn't come sooner. I've been looking forward to this for months. I'll never go back. First time here.. maps pinged me right to the Spa and there was lots of parking so that was nice. Inside we were greeted by two front desk women. One showed us to the locker area where they have robes and sandals, a dry sauna, showers.. then you wait in the quiet area where they have water, tea and champagne. I've been getting massages for years and years, and so I have high expectations of massage therapists to know the anatomy well and know where to hit specific points. I was so blessed to get Dana who was so amazing I wish I could have a massage from her all the time! Amazing pressure, she was able to identify very specific areas she could feel that needed help. Worth every penny. I had such a wonderul time at this spa. They were kind enough to fit myself and my friend in for the next day. They went out of the way to accommodate us. First, we sat in the sauna to unwind and warm up our muscles before our scheduled massages. We then headed to the quiet room. Lori greeted us a warm welcome as we headed to the waiting area. She was lovely and kind enough to bring us water and blankets. Her nurturing vibrations set the mood for our selfcare time at this spa. Lori radiates love and light. She is also a wonderful hugger. Spa Gregory for a luxurious pedicure with Lavender and Sea Salt. Check in at the front. Then you go to a the Quiet Area. I was able to have some chamomile tea and nuts. And the cucumber citrus infused water was amazing. Sat down in their plush seats with my legs up next to a diffuser right next to me that smells like "relax " And the ceiling here.... Wow. It has lights like stars. So beautiful! I was then picked up by the beautician, Ms.Virginia. She was absolutely lovely. She had to listen to my stories... She gentle and my feet looked like a million bucks after the pedicure. The chair is really beautiful here. Very private. Definitely an upgrade to just a "nail salon." It has that SPA vibe. The spa music continues and the view of a lovely fountain was beautiful. The sound of real water from the fountain made it even more relaxing. You have schedule ahead. At least a week ahead because they do get booked up.. The pricing is very reasonable. It does varies day to day. Cost was $60 today for me plus tip. (Plus tip nicely, they deserve it! Anyone having to touch your feet needs a nice tip!). The ladies locker room here has showers and infrared sauna. So very clean..supply shampoo, conditioner, hair products and blow dryer. I am an old spa Gregorie's client from years ago. Brought my husband and best friend for 90 min hot stone massages. We all walked away with a different experience. The shower room is a bit outdated and water pressure in shower was poor. Dry sauna was nice. The "quiet room" could use some "cozy work" to make it feel a tad more relaxing. The music is set just a tad too loud. My hot stone massage used very minimal hot stones, but my therapist (Aaron) was superb. He anatomically knows his stuff and the pressure was perfect. I felt very comfortable throughout. My husband had a chatty Massage Therapist, which is a big NO NO. He said the massage was only fair- so with a $238 cost- that is very disappointing. My friend said her massage was very good (Amanda). Said the same about the minimal hot stone use- so I'm not sure "hot stone" is worth the extra $$. Not an extremely "warm welcome". No one walked us back, etc- just handed us our locker key and said enjoy. I did very much. But to throw down $800 for three massages with very different experiences- a bit too much of a dice roll to "highly recommend ". read more

I'm so sad to give this score as I used to come here with my friends as a birthday gift from my mom. It's been at least 6 or 7 years since I've had a service at Spa Greg. My friend wanted to get a Barbor facial which she stated that the esthetician told her it was her own of style of applying the product. My friend was under the impression it's a certain technique used. Nevertheless, my friend asked me if I wanted to come along. I decided on the back facial which is listed under facials on their treatment menu. When we arrived, I didn't notice any upgrades and or improvements made to the facility from when I was last there. Someone was celebrating a birthday and even the signage was the exact same from when I would go years ago. I will say that there was a ton of laminated marketing and banner which kind of took away from the "spa feel". When we checked in, the young lady at the desk told me that my back facial was 45 mins and I could do a 15 min add on. She mentioned that I could get a foot scrub, leg scrub, or a back massage. I was interested in the back massage. Upon checking in, my friend and I went to the locker room, put on our robes, and shortly thereafter I was called in for my treatment promptly at 4. My esthetician was super friendly but here is were I have concerns. A part of my treatment was the both of discussing the add-on I can get. My esthetician only offered a foot scrub. When I told her I was interested in the back massage, she mentioned not having time to do it. So why was it offered to me?...my esthetician told me I already get it w my treatment which I knew but I wanted the back massage to be extended. Nevertheless I agreed to the foot scrub which was not 15 mins. As mentioned, my esthetician was friendly but I can feel that she was rushing. So we discussed the add-on, that ate into my treatment time. She would wash her dishes during my treatment which also factored into my time, she didn't mirror her work. Meaning what she did on one side, was different then the other side. I chalked that up to her rushing. I never had a back facial so I was curious to see hear her recommendation was about my back...nothing. She did give me a scrub to take home... which I thought was nice. My massage was over five minutes till the hour. Before I paid, I checked in on Yelp. There is a promotion that pops up once you check in, you get $15 off a facial or a massage. When I showed the young lady at the front desk, she told me my service doesn't fit the criteria. I didn't understand, back facial was listed under facial. Just a so so experience. PRO: amazing masseuses. I've had 3 massages here and all 3 are in my "top 5 massages of my 33 years on this planet" list. IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR PRENATAL / MATERNITY MASSAGE, LOOK NO FURTHER. This is the only place I've gone where it doesn't feel like my masseuse is scared to touch me. And when you're pregnant you really just want to be steamrolled or have an elephant walk on your back so when you pay for a massage and it just feels like back tickles, it's wildly disappointing. Also they've got some decent snacks in the quiet room. CONS: amenities are clean and fine (showers, quiet area, saunas) but they don't have anything in the way of jacuzzi or steam room. Also I got my nails done here once in like 2014 and it was v bad but that's why you should go to a nail salon to get your nails done and not a fancy spa. Massages are also pretty pricy but I'd rather pay for something I know is a sure thing than pay $50 to have a bad-to-decent experience elsewhere. Parking could be better. Also last year Costco was selling a package of 2 $50 gift cards to spa G's for like 75$ so imma keep my eyes peeled for those bad boys. I had the most amazing experience coming it to my appointment on Valentine's Day. I had booked a couples massage for my boyfriend and I, but when we got there we were put in a separate room. The receptionist was sweet and walked me through the woman's room. For my first experience at a spa, this was very nice. There was a sauna and a shower and was very clean. My masseuse Erica was beyond amazing!! I asked her to come down to San Diego after, she was too good! She went over my client profile and made sure to ask and double check what is ok and what not to do. The pressure was amazing and very enjoyable. Erica let me relax to a whole new level. My boyfriend told me his masseuse was chatty and probably spoke 60% of the time. From what I hear he spoke about living in Thailand and a "happy pizza". He had to keep asking his masseuse to go lighter on the pressure. My boyfriend really enjoyed the shower on the men's side and said it was clean. The quiet room was a great place to wait, I loved looking up at the ceiling at the stars and having a glass of champagne while I waited for my boyfriend to finish.
