The space was beautiful, clean, zen and relaxing. Sammy sat with me prior to my massage to address my concerns and was incredibly warm and attentive. I have chronic pain from a cycling accident that happened almost 2 years ago and had a bad flare up so I expressed I needed more of a deep tissue/myofascial release massage. He completely exceeded my expectations and it was one of the best massages I have ever had. He was able to stretch and massage out a lot of tight areas and I had almost immediate relief from neck and shoulder pain I had been experiencing. There are so many great things that I could say about my experience at Drift that I don't even know where to start!!! Upon entering Drift I was immediately greeted with a warm welcome from both Sammy and Jareb. My appointment started with an in-depth consultation where Sammy allowed me to inform him of all of my concerns and answer any questions I had. What can I say about Drift massage that hasn't been said already in the other reviews. It was my very first ever massage (literally) in my life and I can honestly say that I'm very very happy that I chose drift massage for that. The experience was AMAZING. Jareb was truly caring, soft voice, soft hands, overall spectacular. I went in for a 90 min massage and honestly felt as if it was less from how amazing it felt. Also just by going inside you already feel relax lol the soothing and zen atmosphere they have in the lobby as well in the room is like forgetting about your problems. It has been about a year now since I've been going to Jareb and I think it's time to write my 1st review for my favorite massage therapist. I have made it a point to get massages on all my vacations, near and far. I've had all different types of massages at small places and expensive spas...but now i know there is only one place I really look forward going too. A few months ago I had a knee problem that caused me so much pain I had wrapped it everyday for over a month. It was very painful to walk up and down stairs and the swelling would not go down. I had gone to the dr and was taking meds, icing it, and tried to stay off it as much as possible. I decided to go in and have a massage with Jareb, with more relaxation in mind because I was weary of letting anyone touch my knee. It had been awhile since I had seen him, so I scheduled a 90 min massage and explained the issues I was having. Mind you, to get to the massage table I had to go up a flight of stairs, which was not very pleasant, but it was OK because I couldn't wait to get the session started. I felt Jareb moving my knee around and I was a bit nervous, but I let him do his thing and started to relax. All i can say is that once it was over, I was able to walk down the stairs will minimal pain and limping. The next day, the swelling started going down. I normally would get a massage for back pain, tension, and sore muscles...knots that would never go away and headaches...and Jareb was always able to make me feel better. But to have this much discomfort and having already seeked medical attention, I was surprised to see such a fast recovery after one massage. As for other elements: Scheduling is always great and flexible He's local in my area and I have even taken a Uber just so I stay as relaxed as possible on my way home! Easy to communicate needs Great technique and focuses on what you need/want. This is not a cookie cutter massage experience. I love Drift Massage! Every time I've gone there, they go above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and really take the time to make sure you get massage that best fits what you're looking for! Sammy is great, I've only booked with them, but I'm sure Jareb is also great! The studio feels cozy and personal, not like a huge spa which can feel stressful and intimidating! Parking isn't too bad. There is a parking structure right next to it that charges like $4 per 30 mins or you can get there early and look for free street parking. I love getting massages from Jareb. He's got great hands, very strong and firm but not in a painful way. I don't like getting kind of beat up like they do in Thai massage where I'm sore afterwards. This last time he worked on me I was having some trouble with my hip and knee and had a chiropractic adjustment the day before. And those two thing made me feel better than I had in 6 months.
