I've been going to Top Golf for years now and have never had a bad experience so I was excited to try this new local place! To say it was one of the worst experiences I've had in a long time is nothing short of the truth. When we first got there we had an hour and a half wait which we were understanding of and decided to try the restaurant! The waitress came quick to take our drink orders and then disappeared for nearly twenty minutes - she came back and said, "how was the food?!" ...we haven't even ordered... so we placed our order and then waited for another 30+ minutes and still didn't have our food. We received the text that our bay was ready and so I went to find the waitress to see if we could just take the food to our bay and she replied, "well I actually haven't put your order in yet! I can just give you the check for the drinks" literally At the point I just wanted to get away from her care so we paid and went to the bay. When we got to the bay we found out we were double booked onto the bay so as we sat with a second family for another 15 minutes they finally got a second open bay for us. FINALLY we were able to play butttt not so fast. Our lane stopped working after the second person...one faculty finally came by they just popped the top of the machine opened and asked us to grab our balls from the bin instead. Honestly, thought that it couldn't get any worse. Once we finally received our food after two hours of being at this place - the waitress forgot to put in a couple of our meals! I understand that this is a new facility but I honestly have not had such a bad series of events. It all ended with the first waitress from the restaurant (yes the one we ate at hours ago) hunting us down asking us where we put our sign sheets. The answer was simple...she never gave us a pen...and then we couldn't find her (again) so we just went to the bartender and asked her for a pen and left our receipts at the bar. This was miserable. This place is terrible! They open at 10 AM, but don't staff appropriately until 11AM. We were first in line with no one in the parking lot and were told we would have to wait at least an hour. The bays and driving range are tired and the balls don't discharge correctly . When they do have servers available, service isn't great. They have a call out list because employees don't show up for work. The rates at Drive Shack have gone up but the quality has gone way down. I've been to Drive Shack many times and today is the last day. Can't wait for Top Golf to open. read more

I've been twice and given it the 'college try' but it's just not great. The only place I have to compare it to that I've been to multiple outlets is Top Golf (I've visited Charlotte, NC; Austin, TX; & Overland Park, KS). Drive Shack is just not on par with Top Golf (yes, pun intended). The technology seems similar on the surface, but is far from what Top Golf has. At Drive Shack, they use Trackman vs the RFID chipped balls at Top Golf. So this radar senses when you hit the ball "allegedly." Of our group both times, it's never been close to accurate. One out of every 4 shots might be. Never play on the ground floor if you hope to have anything close to accurate results from their tracking system - unless you only hit the ball high. Even if your ball goes 150 yards, Trackman doesn't pick it up most of the time in our experience. This ends up being frustrating. Additionally - the technology in the booths is poor. Our screen had a DOS prompt on the TV multiple times. A DOS PROMPT! The system froze and lagged terribly most of the time. The "games" are just a blind luck shot every time you hit the ball it seems. No matter who was hitting or how accurate their game is, it didn't seem to really matter. The staff is ok overall. Service staff is decent, depending on who you get. Bar staff was pretty good and attentive while we waited. Management was abysmal. I felt that the waitstaff was better trained than the "manager" that we worked with. So you think all bays have comfy seating? I mean, it looks like that when you walk up to the podium to put your name in. If you've never been there then that's what you'd assume. WRONG. They have a mixture of seating. Some horrible high top tables that no one wants to sit at. We had people in our group leave (the ladies in more casual attire who were just there for the company) because of the seating discomfort. Yes, we went back before playing and asked if we could get the next available sofa bay and were told "You'll go back to the end of the queue" which was an hour wait, when we were quoted 30 minutes. We didn't even get mad about that. And this was from a manager. They have absolutely no service skills, no hospitality training or experience. The food was decent when we went. I mean, it's bar food mostly - but it was good. Seemed fresh. The gimmick may help them survive alone, but the continued poor experiences will keep repeat business away. If Top Golf comes to the area, which has been explored again, then Drive Shack is going to have a really tough time attracting business. Top Golf has a better training program in place, seemingly. Better customer service. Better comfort in the bays. Better management. Better experience all around. I think the only way I'll go again is if a friend wants to do some sort of birthday event there. I'm not going for a casual afternoon again. It's just not worth the price paid. read more

This place has potential to be a really great time. It's your typical multi-level, golf with food and drinks experience. The interactive games you play via the screens in your bay are fun and easy to figure out. Staff members and the bar are always nearby which is awesome. This is definitely a good activity for any sort of group event for work, friends, or family. The facility feels modern and well-designed for traffic flow and events catering to the groups. They had plenty of heaters for cold weather but they seem ill-prepared for the heat. No overhead fans. No air vents that could supply cool or - at the least - moving air. The employees there just look at you and don't ask if you need help so your forced to travel back and forth to the front desk multiple times They don't speak or greet And the obviously don't know how to correct issues that customers are having I walked in and put my name down and then walk to the second floor where I waited for about 30 minutes which wasn't bad I got a text that my bay was 302... I didn't know what to expect when I came here. Came with a group of 7 guys (1 didn't play) for a birthday party. I was really pleasantly surprised by the whole facility. Driving in, I was blown away by how new the facility looked. Coming in on a Saturday, the whole facility seemed packed. It was about a 20 min and we were directed to our bay on the first floor. The set up is pretty neat. There was great seating, golf clubs, and multiple screens (one with a game going on and another with a digital projection of the field). We ordered some loaded nachos and pretzel sticks. I assumed the food would be more expensive but I was surprised at the decent price. Furthermore, I was surprised that it was only $35 for a bay per hour for up to 6 people. They have heaters to keep you warm even though it was a chilly day. Overall, this is a great place for a gathering and party. They also had an arcade and plenty of hangout spaces. I'll definitely be back! read more

One line summary: This place is a lot of fun, but the food is terrible My husband and I went on a warm summer night, perfect for this type of outing. We asked to be on the third level, but when we got to our bay, it has a high top table instead of a couch with low table. We prefer the latter, so we went down to the first level, which was the only level with that bay set up available. We got there around 5:30 and there were a lot of corporate events/outings going on. I don't golf at all, so I felt a little intimidated, but the first level was empty when we got there and that was great! The level did fill up in the next hour. The bay was clean and comfy. We played the Slapjack game, which was a lot of fun - even for a non-golfer like me! Our waitress was super nice and really attentive. However, about a dozen times the tech didn't register the shots we took, which was really frustrating. We ordered the queso, buffalo wings and Margherita pizza - all of them were terrible. I mean, how can you screw up queso!?!?? And wings??? The dessert menu has only skillet cookies and ice cream sandwiches. I love dessert, but that menu was just not appetizing. We had a great time at Drive Shack! We went only a week after they opened and they had everything pretty smooth and under control. My fiance knew all about the golf stuff, but it was my first time at a range or playing anything more than mini-golf. First, the place is huge; we got there within the hour of them opening and were able to get a bay immediately but an hour later it was definitely filling up. Second, the bays are super comfortable and relaxing. You can have up to 6 people per section and I think you'd still have a good amount of room. Third, the food is pretty good. We had a mimosa and nachos, which were not greasy and a decent amount of food. Overall, the prices weren't unreasonable, but it definitely gets more expensive the later in the day. I visited Drive Shack with a group of friends on a Friday night. We parked using the complimentary valet, which was nice. We waited an hour to be assigned a bay, which was no big deal because we understood that this was probably a busy time, and we decided to eat in the restaurant area beforehand. Drive Shack must be severely understaffed because the wait for food and drink was ridiculous. It took almost an hour to receive our food after ordering, and we didn't receive the drinks that we had ordered until AFTER the food, which is strange. My husband's drink was incorrect, and my loaded queso was cold, making me think they made it first and left it out while making everyone else's food. I would not order the loaded queso again anyway, as it was flavorless and un-extraordinary. My chips where all in pieces, which made them hard to dip. Once we were in our bay, we had a nice time. The driving range experience was good, but again, the wait on food and drinks was not. We ordered a couple of cookie skillets at the beginning of our time and did not receive them until the end of the hour. Luckily, we were already planning to extend our time. If you do plan on going, the most worthwhile drink is the Cotton Cocktail, which is made with cotton candy. It was delicious! Overall, not sure if I'd go back. My husband and I alone spent around $100 total, and I don't think our experience would have been as good if we were not with such fun friends. read more

Love that we have Drive Shack here now, but I think they have a lot of logistics that need to be worked out for a better experience - particularly with the service. We had a group of 8 on Sunday at 3pm. We had to wait about an hour for two bays (max 6 people per bay). No biggie, the wait was expected - we just hung out upstairs around the bar and arcade. When our bays were ready, we all headed over. We signed in on the tablets but after that, we had no idea what to do next. We were all first-timers. We waited about 5 minutes before our server came by. She didn't give us a description of what to do. I had expected her to ask "is this your first time?" similarly to how they do at restaurants but she didn't. We all stood around confused for a few more minutes before I flagged down a manager. He came over and gave us a brief intro about how to get started. By this time, about 10 minutes had already passed on our timer/count down. They were having issues with the monster game, where the monsters wouldn't load. They had a potential fix where they could load another game and then reload the monsters game, but it still didn't work for us. So we ended up just playing a course, but since none of us are golfers we didn't find it as fun as the monsters game would have been. By the time we finally started playing, ~15 minutes had already passed. I chatted with the manager about it and he said he would add some time on for us, which I was grateful for. Once we got going, everything went smoother. We ordered food and drinks. The food was just okay (nothing notable that I tried). The drinks were pretty good! We were celebrating a friends birthday and unfortunately they didn't have a candle for the dessert we ordered her (so bring your own). I will definitely give Drive Shack another shot (and I have high hopes that I will be able to change my review) but I'll probably wait a month or two for them to work out some more of the kinks. read more

We came here when it was $35hr. It was little expensive than topgolf but we still decided to give it a try. They told us to wait about 45min to 1 hr. We decided to go offsite for food. They texted us while we were still eating but they said they would still find a table for us just let them know when we go back, and that was very convenient. This was NOT clear on the site, and we incurred a high charge without being told this. The server even said "adding an extra hour won't charge you anything more." So this might be the first real review as it opened this evening!! The place is nice but just to put it into perspective.... to play 18 holes which equals 1 full regular golf course... and it took 2 hours..... 2 guys, 3 beers each and split nachos.... the total bill for TWO people was $130 plus tip!!!!!! Don't get me wrong, "real" golf can cost that much but for two guys looking to just have a chill night, $130 is rather steep... I can think of quite a few other things I'd spend my money on. Also, they still have some kinks to work out when it comes to their technology so if you're going with a buddy and want to have a friendly but competitive night, I wouldn't go any time soon because there were 10+ instances where balls didn't register or the shot distance indicator was not all that accurate. Overall great concept but most couples won't get out of there under $75.... most over $100. read more
