Because of their self-described high end service I foolishly trusted that any product they sold would be properly serviced and ready for ownership. I purchased an older Cadillac Escalade from them on April 25, 2026. The mileage was 58,000 and the SUV looked well maintained inside and out. I had an appointment on a Saturday to pick it up. As I was driving home to Fallbrook, trying to learn the control system I saw multiple messages flashing on the dash. At home I sorted out they were a tire pressure monitoring system problem and a suspension system problem. I looked everything up in the owners manual - then called my sales rep first of the week. Standard answer - " bring it by". It's an 80 mile round trip and my personal responsibilities don't allow that. I tried asking them to be specific about a plan of action but no success. I proceeded to have the local tire specialists sync up the tire monitoring system, but the suspension problem was very serious. After having it quickly put on a diagnostic system close to home it appeared the front left shock absorber was failing. It had been replaced by Land Rover SD weeks earlier. I pointed this out to them - explained I couldn't be "stopping by" with the mileage involved to do that, could we work something out etc? Maybe at least help defray the cost of proper replacement (they had used after market parts that failed) etc. I was polite, courteous, but my phone calls weren't returned and my detailed email went unanswered. I had the proper replacement with the needed GM parts done near home at a GM dealership. It cost just over $2,000. Who knows what kind of work Land Rover would have done even if I had a way to be making that trip since they totally botched it the first time. Again, my advice, do not trust Land Rover SD to treat you fairly in a pre-owned vehicle purchase. They were perfectly happy sending me home in a vehicle they had serviced that was left with problems that the service dept clearly had to know about since they created them.

It had damage to the paint that somebody tried to fix., the owner was generous and did offer a fair discount off to get this paint corrected. I needed a vehicle right away, so I went through and bought it. I had did not notice until I got home, but the front tires were on the rear and the rear tires were on the front which is important because its a staggered tires set up. Also all four tires were nearly bald. All the brakes were bad. I would recommend taking them up on their advice and taking it to a local auto shop for inspection. And without going into all the details, I ended up sitting outside in my old car, crying, because while I may have eventually gotten the car, there was no way I was going to get the car at that time. I firmly believe that what is meant to be is meant to be, and if it wasn't going to happen that day, then she wasn't meant to be mine. UPDATE: After everything described below, Mossy ultimately agreed to replace my F-150 Platinum with…read morean essentially identical new truck. I appreciated that and genuinely hoped this would finally resolve the situation. Unfortunately, less than 12 hours after taking delivery, I discovered a significant crease and deformation in the aluminum cab structure on the driver's side. The same area on the passenger side is smooth and properly formed. Further investigation has now uncovered substantially more. The cab structure is visibly deformed, doors are not operating correctly, a power window is broken, and there are numerous other issues consistent with the truck having sustained significant damage before it was delivered to me. Most concerning, the three separate paint defects we initially found in the driver's side door jamb now appear to have been symptoms of the larger issue. What initially looked like isolated paint defects appears consistent with sloppy touch-up work in the same area as the underlying damage. We had found the symptoms. We simply had not yet found the smoking gun. Based on everything I have now found and documented, there is overwhelming evidence that this truck sustained significant prior damage and appears to have been involved in some type of impact or accident before it was sold to me as new. Before accepting this replacement, I specifically asked Mossy's General Sales Manager, Mr. Lopez, in writing whether the truck had ever had any damage, paintwork, bodywork, repairs, reconditioning, or anything else of that nature. I received written confirmation that it had not. Somehow, all of this was also missed during Mossy's pre-delivery inspection. This is now the second brand-new F-150 Platinum I have received through Mossy with significant issues. Most frustrating is how my concerns have been framed. I was told Mossy cannot guarantee "perfection." I am not asking for perfection. This is not a microscopic flaw or minor cosmetic imperfection. I expect a brand-new vehicle to be delivered without significant visible damage, particularly when it is replacing another truck because of the issues described below. I do want to recognize Aisha in Finance, who was phenomenal throughout the replacement, and Pete in Service, who has consistently tried to help. I have been in direct contact with Ford and have continued documenting everything. Despite the seriousness of what I brought to Mossy's attention, I have received zero acknowledgment from management. My phone calls have not been returned and my emails have gone unanswered. I genuinely wanted this replacement to be the end of the matter. Instead, less than a day later, I found myself documenting an even more serious situation with another brand-new truck. I will update this review with how Mossy and Ford ultimately respond.
