The sales experience was mid-level at best. The sales rep didn't know basic answers to questions about the car. You'd think if you're trying to make a sale, you'd at least know the price or what package is included, yes we were already working together for a bit at this point. Now, just three weeks later, my brand-new Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks is already in the shop with check engine light. Apparently it's a "glitch." I had to get a manager on the phone just to get additional support. Since they don't have an answer, I have to continue to drive the car and to see if it would continue to turn on... what sorta solution is that. My previous KIA had a similar issue that didn't start til 5-7 years in. For it to have issues this close to buying it and getting no answers is unacceptable. Manager Arte was rude over the phone and practically hung up on me. Then Service Advisor Craig has been unhelpful and just keeps repeating the same useless phrases. Then, when I went to get a rental, the worker left his personal key in my rental car, and the vehicles weren't even clean and ready to go. I ended up taking a dirty car because the process took so long and I had to leave for work. The only employee with a positive experience has been Aisha the Finance lady. Hope they got new staff current service department is horrible especially the manager and supervisor , when I asked the supervisor to assist me to avoid the inconveniences, he said he was too busy as in he didn't care about the level of service , they lost my tire caps and could not find them something so simple . Save yourself some time and hassle and buy your Ford someplace else. I signed up with the Costco buying program yesterday and was directed to this dealership to purchase my Ford truck. I immediately receive a text from Daniel K. We were off to a strong start. He asked me what day I could come in and I asked him to see if he had some particular trucks in stock still. We agreed I'd come in later that day between 5:30pm and 6pm. His responses had become more sporadic as the day got later but I didn't chalk that up to anything negative. I kept texting him until around 5:30 and showed up at the Dealership at 6pm sharp. I had a long drive from the other side of the county and was excited to be there to test drive some trucks. The place was like a ghost town. I asked around to see if they were still open, surprisingly they were. I then asked them to please let Daniel K know I was here. After searching around for a while they informed me that he had left for the day. That was disappointing after working all day and then making the long journey out to that dealership. I will give them respect for two reasons: 1- I asked for clear numbers and they provided them. 2- I said I don't do sales tactics and pressure and they adjusted their behavior accordingly. Bought a car last year, everyone was pretty friendly and it was a fairly smooth process. What really bothered me after was that I was told I had to buy the Karr Security system which was about $1300 (this alarm system would cost $200-$300 somewhere else and the car already has an alarm system from the dealership), they then have you sign a paper that your not required to buy it. The sales rep said other dealerships have more required add ons which may be true but I never checked other dealerships. If you find one that doesn't I would go there. I noted my concern to the dealership and got a voicemail from a manager, I tried calling back but was ignored so I just let it go. read more

HORRIBLE: Poor Post-Purchase Support and Questionable Practices at Mossy Ford I bought a Kia Rio at Mossy Ford (Mission Beach/PB, San Diego) at the end of March. At first, when you're at the dealership, people are nice and communication is easy. But once we started the buying process, they kept changing rates and trying to upsell us. They initially promised $1,500 off the car on the first day, which felt like a red flag. We walked away to think about the purchase for a day. The next day, we were there from 5:30 to 8:00pm. During the final paperwork, they took our $3,000 down payment and tried to sneak in an extra F&I warranty for electronics, turning our total from $7,200 to $11,200. They framed it like it would lower our monthly payment, but it was just a pushy upsell. We declined, bought the car for the agreed-out-the-door price, and left. The car seemed fine at first, but after four months the engine blew up. It was burning oil all along, and they had to have known about it. They sold it to us knowingly with this issue, probably just to get rid of it and meet their end-of-month quotas. Unfortunately I called and they would not help at all, with absolutely anything, so I am left with no vehicle. Overall, the initial friendliness disappeared quickly. I purchased a Ford Maverick in February and if felt like they were the sneaky salesman on their easy way to buy commercial. I started by contacting Costco to set up the purchase. Then I received a call from Dylan at Mossy Ford. We set up a test drive for Saturday noon in a gas Lariat version of the Maverick. When I arrived Dylan was not available and they set me up with Rudy. Rudy had no clue what I was looking for. Took him 45 minutes to produce a truck and it was a Hybrid. So they never had the car I requested to test drive. I mentioned Costco several times but he never showed me the Costco paperwork. They found a truck at another dealership and while they were setting up to get the truck it was sold. They then brought me the window sticker from the truck we were supposed to get and another truck they found. They wanted me to figure out why there was a price difference. After 6 hours of sitting at Mossy Ford we started the paperwork. I should have left but had invested so much time. I purchased an alarm and protection for the vehicle. This turned out to be a big pain. The alarm company came to my house and installed the alarm but Mossy Ford wanted me to come into their service center to have the body protection installed. Only available on week days during working hours and they are 30 miles from my house. Costco sent me there. After 3 weeks of stalling they agreed to do the work at my house. The company that installed the protection was a remote service and not affiliated with Mossy. So all that stalling for something that was a remote service. Also, the truck was supposed to be delivered to me the following day but did not arrive until the following evening. They tried to push delivery out but I was requesting to cancel the deal if that happened. I will not return or send anyone to Mossy Ford. I purchased a Nissan from Mossy 6 years ago and that was a totally different experience. Things did improve. Costco got me money back from Mossy as they did not observe the Costco purchasing agreement. read more

Anyone looking to service their vehicle? If so, I'd recommend speaking to Francisco. This young man went above and beyond to make my experience extraordinary and seamless. From a warm and welcoming smile, to constant updates and check-ins, this man is the true definition of stupendous customer service. The only reason I didn't give them a 5 star review (which has nothing to do with Francisco at this point) is simply over the fact that my oil change comes included with a tire rotation. They weren't able to fulfill that end of the bargain because of my lug nuts being on too tight. The solution they offered you might ask... $135 for labor to remove them and a recommendation to get two new front tires. If it weren't for Francisco, the rating would be much lower buttttt I have to give credit where it's due. read more

Worst service I've ever had from any business in my life. Bought an $80,000 brand new truck that qualifies for a free upgrade package. After scheduling the service and requesting someone to speak to, no one reached out. After I contacted them and spoke to a rep I was told I would be contacted. I was never contacted. Reached out 2 more times and still wasn't contacted. Finally a week later I called them again and I was told I had an assigned service rep, was forwarded to them, and went to voicemail. Left a voicemail and no one called me back. Called again the next day and was connected to Logan Kessler. Logan was rude on the phone, provided 0 help or initiative, and told ME to reach back out to HIM after he figures it out. Then proceeded to hang up by saying "do you need anything else?" And hung up on me. Further contact was through email, where he stated to "set up an appointment in person to further verify things" when I had already passed all information possible such as my personal info and VIN. Truck service was originally scheduled for Saturday, and the appointment was moved to Monday. However the valet service showed up at my door still on Saturday. I posted a one-star review after purchasing my Bronco in December. Then the manager called and bribed me with some free services to take it down. So I did. But I feel I need to repost for the following reason: One of my complaints was that they got a toll road ticket on my trade in. I keep getting texts from the Toll company. Now toll company is reporting me to DMV For this ticket. Mossy manager told me it was not a big deal and blew it off. I tried texting the toll road ticket to them but the number bounced. Nice work Missy! My other complaint was that I drove off the lot with my new car and I didn't know about anything this car could do. A week later I went to Ken Grody Ford in Carlsbad and they spent an hour or more showing me everything (like downloading app, Siri, etc) I never received my bribe services from Mossy to rake down my previous review, so I'm comfortable reposting it now. Save yourself the headache and skip Mossy. Go to Ken Grody Carlsbad, they really treated me great and I didn't even buy my car from them. Now that is service! read more

I came in earlier today with my family to look at a white raptor. Our salesman name was Miguel i think don't really remember but I do remember that he used to work at Mossy Nissan before. Our experience was so horrible. He came up to us and acted like he didn't want to help us. He took us on a test drive, ignored or answered my questions briefly about the truck. The worse thing once we started doing the numbers. I was going to trade in my 2023 Tundra with 17,200 miles on it. It's in excellent condition. He offered me 35k, I disagreed and he went up to 37k. The whole time he was degrading the truck even though it was in better condition than the raptor. Here comes the crazy part. I told him if we can talk about the numbers for the raptor. He said he can give me the Raptor for 52K if I trade in my truck for 37k. I said no. He later brought another offer of 50k for my trade in being worth 34k. I told him that I was hoping if we can get it in the high 40's like 48k or 49k. And before I finish my sentence he laughed got all his paper work, got up, retuned with our truck key and told us to have a good day. I never in my car buying experience have felt so disrespected not only did he disrespect me but also my family. We could not believe that happened. I've bought 5 cars and never have I ever been treated like that. The raptor was super clean in the inside, but you can tell it had battle scars. It was also missing the black trim on the tailgate. Obviously at dealerships you throw out numbers to try to get at the price that both you and the dealer agree on. I honestly was going to take the 50k offer but after what he did I would never give him a sale. But this guy really needs some training or work at a different job. I have a business and if my clients ever mention they want a Ford i'll tell them to avoid this place at all cost. I also have a government job and will tell all my co workers the same. We showed up on Sunday and were told they are not able to take the lease. No one here was educated on helping us out. We had everything figured out with Toyota financial services ahead of time and TFS told us we needed to just get an odometer statement and sign it. They told us that they were unable to help and sorry but they would have to buy the lease off of us if we wanted them to help in any way. Then Marcus (an employee) proceeded to tell us that Kyle lied to us so they could buy the car off of us instead of turning the lease in. A total POS company. Not a single person here cares about customer. All they see is dollar signs. Wish I could give 0 stars. Laughable honestly. No respect. I brought in my 2014 Ford Focus--a vehicle already INFAMOUS for clutch and TCM issues--only to be slapped with a jaw-dropping $3,000 repair quote! As if that weren't enough, they had the audacity to demand another $3,000-$4,000 for a "teardown" to even CHECK if the TCM caused the clutch failure. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
