Worldwide Motors is the ultimate used car scam. I've purchased used cars from private and used car dealers and this was hands down the worst experience. A man introduced himself as AJ and he lied about the Nissan Rogue I wanted to purchase. He told me Worldwide Motors had inspected the SUV and it had no damage. He said all Worldwide Motors did was inspect it and clean it. He also handed me a Carfax that indicated 0 accidents. (Later on, I looked up a legitimate Carfax myself and it showed 1 accident w/ bumper damage)! They must have photoshopped it?! Worldwide Motors printed a FAKE Carfax print out. Thinking this SUV had no accidents, I asked if he 'fixed anything on this used car?' he said 'no'. Unfortunately I believed what AJ told me and agreed to purchase the SUV for a 'good deal' or so I thought. I then noticed the back side fender panel was misaligned. Asking him about it, he told me I was knit picking. AJ put me down for being discerning. He said that he didn't see anything wrong (as he manually tried to pop the fender back in place). Later when I was negotiating down on price due to fender being popped out, he said 'it's nothing, we repaired and painted that area as there was a small scratch from the parking lot'. AJ couldn't remember all the lies that were flying out of his mouth. He initially told me they only inspected and cleaned the SUV. I needed a car and it was a good 'deal' so I didn't follow my gut and I agreed to purchase the SUV. I paid AJ cash and he put the cash in a safe in the other room. I had signed all the paperwork and was looking at the price - I noticed AJ stated on the paperwork the car was only $9k. When I addressed it and said 'that's not legal and I want my money back', he only offered to give me $9k back! He wouldn't return the full amount of cash I had just handed him, forcing me to buy the car. To make matters worse, I had to leave the car there bc I had negotiated he fix the fender issue as part of the sale. He said he would fix the issue so I waited 2 days to drive it off the lot. When I did, he had switch out the wipers for rusty used wipers and the back mats were from a different vehicle and very worn from the new wipers and mats he had sold me. I didn't notice these things until I was home & wasn't about to go back to the dealership. I was exhausted from filtering though the lies! I've never left a one star on Yelp, but IF I CAN HELP ONE PERSON from getting screwed by AJ and World Motors it's worth it. (In fact if there were a 0 star option, I would leave it). read more

He said he refund the $1000 if I didn't like the car "no problem" The car had no backup camera, no push start, no sunroof. It was a premium, not a premium plus. He was so desperate it was uncomfortable. I found another Audi with all the features, Premium plus certified pre owned around the corner at Audi san diego and they price matched an audi I found in Beverly hills that sold before I arrived to buy it. He kept calling me. I'll take a $1000 off the price.I'll put in a backup camera. After multiple calls for the deposit refund as he promised multiple times,he said there is a problem with Square. I'll do the refund but something is wrong with square. Just dispute it with american express, square has something wrong with it right now. He is turn tells american express in writing that I received $1000 in goods and services. I have nothing from him but a big headache. The dealership is closed, the signs and cars are gone. The salesmen are friendly, smooth and personable here, but do not believe a WORD they say about the cars they are selling. I recently purchased a 1999 Honda CRV that was very clean and straight. A.J. (I think that's what he called himself) said at least three times: "There's nothing at all wrong with this car" in response to me asking, What issues are there with this car? He then went on with a story that the person before me who wanted the car had it checked out by her mechanic. The only reason she didn't buy it was because the bank wouldn't approve her financing. Now I'm no mechanic, so my bad for not getting it checked out before purchasing, but you gotta trust somebody at some point, and I wanted to trust these guys. So much for that. I did take the car to my Honda Certified mechanic, and the following was seriously wrong: 1. Brakes almost worn all the way down 2. Leaking wheel seals 3. Two struts damaged throwing the car's alignment off 4. Mismatched tires 5. Oil pan seal leaks 6. Malfunctioning alarm system All totaled to $2400, which I've opted to just get done since it's worth knowing what I fixed on it, so when I sell it, I can actually TELL THE TRUTH! I know, a lying car salesmen. Gee, what a surprise. Not so much surprised, just disappointed. One upside, ol' A.J. had that paperwork all printed and ready to go in about 10 minutes. Zip, zop, zap! Have had a good experience with Worldwide Motors. They are very good at helping with the little stuff and its a good personal experience. For example, when buying a car, I didn't have one and AJ picked me up from Poway and helped drive around on other miscilaneous things we needed to do like going to the bank for a loan. You get good personal attention and you don't feel like you are being sold. They just show you their cars and if you don't like it, its a no problem attitude as opposed to car dealerships where I got really annoyed at all the salesiness. Found these guys on Craigslist...looked them up here and saw the great reviews and thought I'd test drive the rare Honda Accord 5 speed they had....honestly, I would have test drove the car at any crummy dealership in San Diego, the only other 5 speed accord (2005-2007) that I found was 140 miles away! Gave them a shot, car looked great but being the skeptic I am I scheduled an appointment with Honda and had them check it out. Turns out it was a waste of $120 because Honda passed the car flying colors...they said all the fluids were topped off, battery looked great, brakes and tires, blah blah blah. I'm glad I did the inspection, but now with 20-20 hindsight, these guys are legit! Looks like they after want people to be happy with the used car they purchase. If you read my other reviews, I had a horrible experience at a super shaddy used car dealership. I'd recommend these guys if they have the car you're looking for in a heartbeat. My friend Farid was moving over from Virginia, and he asked me to help him find a car for him. He was looking for a 2010+ BMW 3Series with less than 60k miles on it, and he trusted my judgement, since I work with cars. I looked on Yelp and saw that Worldwide had good reviews. I checked out their website, and saw that they had a selection of 3 cars that fit his preference. I showed my friend the cars online, and he liked the Black 2012 BMW 328i with 38k miles. Also it was fairly priced. The next day I went down and test drove the car. Hassan and Ali were cool and honest guys. Hassan went on the test drive with me, and I could tell he knew his stuff when it came to the car. He showed me all the features, and I was really impressed by the car and the service. My mechanic was close by, so I took the car and put it on the lift. Me and my mechanic checked the whole car out, and it was in perfect condition. It was basically a new car for a used car price. When my friend arrived two days later, I picked him up from the airport and drove him straight to Worldwide. Hassan and Ali were able to get the paperwork done, and have us out of there very quickly. I am so glad I went to these guys, would definitely be the first place on my list if I am every looking for a car again. read more

I put off writing this review in hopes that Worldwide Motors would follow through on their promises. I found the people to be friendly and knowledgeable but it appears they are also under the guise of the stereotypical used car salesman of "tell them what they want to hear whether it's true or not". I purchased a car from them several weeks ago with the stated promise that they would: 1. Give me a copy of all receipts to show the work they said was done was actually done on the car so I could have them for my records in case I needed them for any future warranty repairs. They said they would have them when I picked the car up. They did not and proceeded to tell me they would mail them to me. They have not. 2. They told me a cosmetic cover on the front bumper area was on order and it would be in by the time I picked up the car. It was not. Then they said it would be there any day and they would let me now when it came in. I still have not received it nor heard anything from them. For the record, I followed up with them three times on these issues, always getting the same response. On a side note, when I was looking at the car I sarcastically said "I know, some old lady used to own it...". They actually said "actually it really was"... however, the previous owner left a bunch of documents in the trunk, including a copy of her passport. I guess they consider a 30 something year old an "old lady". Thus far, I am not unhappy with the car but due to their lack of follow through I must question the legitimacy of their claims. Two of my biggest pet peeves are someone lying to me and someone not doing what they say they will do. Unfortunately, it appears Worldwide Motors has done both. Therefore, I cannot recommend them nor can I see myself ever doing business with them again. Proceed with caution. read more

This is my first time buying a car so it is really difficult to find banks to give me a loan. AJ was just awesome and really worked hard to find a bank that would lend us the money. He called over 30 banks for us and found one that finally did give us the loan. He did everything he could for us to go home with the car my husband and I wanted. The guys here are top notch! My husband and I drove here from North Orange County hoping to get a car. We were warmly greeted and immediately given the keys to the car we were interested in and told to take our time. Once we got back, we inspected the car further with Jay, before heading in the office. We sat down to discuss the price but were told on that particular car, there wasn't much wiggle room to negotiate. AJ, then showed us something in our price point, which we tested, but it definitely wasn't the car we had hoped to purchase. I purchased a used RX 350. They made the buying process and financing very simple. I appreciate that they were not high-pressure. I also appreciate that AJ replaced a broken rear-view mirror that I didn't initially see when I picked up the car at night. I know that wasn't cheap. I would have given them four stars, however there were a few things that didn't get executed well. I paid them to transfer my vanity plates from my old to my new car and that was a bit of a struggle. I asked for the manual to the car and didn't receive it. Within the first three weeks I owned the car the battery died (has 60k) miles, so perhaps it's time. The biggest frustration was finding myself stranded when I had a flat tire because there was no lug nut key near the spare to remove the flat tire. I guess these are things that I should've known to ask for when purchasing a used car. read more

I came in knowing the car that I wanted to get and while looking at it Joseph came right over and unlocked it without us having to say word to anyone. I happened upon Worldwide Motors by accident. I wasn't necessarily in the market for a used car. I was actually on the Tesla waiting list for the upcoming model X. After about a year's worth of waiting, my patience finally ran out. Not sure why Tesla acts like Apple with their launches, but it drives me crazy. I was reading the morning paper and saw an advert for a 2-year old Tesla Model S in black. The car was seemingly in great condition so I dropped by their store on Black Mountain to see if they would let me test drive. Miramar car dealers can be sketchy to say the least so I was completely unprepared and had low expectations. When I got there I was greeted by AJ and it was a very non-salesy approach. He acknowledged me, but told me to look around and he would be with me shortly. Normally, at a new car dealer, at least, once your feet hit the black top, a middled-aged death of a salesman type soul will pounce on you! That wasn't the case at Worldwide whatsoever. It's a young shop and they certainly don't subscribe to any of the old ways that car dealers treat their customers, or prospects for that matter. To make a long story short, I completed the test drive, wrote a check and in less than 90 minutes was the proud owner of a pre-loved Tesla Model S! PS. I was offered financing, and an extended warranty, but I paid cash and don't expect to own this car for very long. I'm still high up on the waiting list for the Tesla X. :) read more
