I want to start this off with how excited I was to get a new car, since I commute for work, but that has changed since I got this vehicle from Drivetime. They clearly didn't research or check the vehicle for issues. I've Had this car since April 8 2026, i ive only driven 5 days out of the time since i bought it. It has been in the shop twice, once with an engine light on. I got it back and the engine light came on again so now I have to take it back to the repair shop and be out of work again. I purchased a 2019 jeep compass apparently it was the manager's commute car every day. I still wanted the car because it was a very nice car. I didn't think she was going to sell me a car when it needed a whole new engine, one month later paying all my payments on this jeep still in the shop still has not gotten a new engine. I can't believe they allow the manager to drive their cars as a daily commute because I have not even got to experience this car but for one day and it already had to go in the shop because my engine blew do not purchase from this location at all because the manager likes to take the cars and drive them crazy until they fall apart, and then she will sell it to you never again I'm reporting this to BBB read more

I live an hour and a half away and drove to in Sacramento but before I even made the drive, I asked for them to do a hard credit pull because things always change when they do a soft credit, so I wanted to be sure considering I live an hour and a half away. The person I spoke to previously, reassured me that if my down payment did change it wouldn't be by very much. I was quoted $795 down but after they did the hard pull they wanted $2500 down. Needless to say, I was angry. I will say though, the salesman Joshua was very nice and it wasn't his fault. However, I think that when someone's driving a far distance they should offer that hard credit pull but they don't because they think they can convince people to buy even if it is that much more. Not cool. They also have trackers on their car so if the person doesn't pay they can come get it anyway so I just don't get it! read more

Cars are priced way over value due to the fact they prey on people with challenged credit. They even tell you that the vehicle is priced over what it is worth or what you could sell it for. They us a subprime lender only one so your financing is not being shopped no one told me that. Some of the sale tactics are misleading about putting some money to hold a car and when you can get it back etc. I went to Roseville Honda Auto nation and got a way better car and was treated like gold. read more

Sales associate Quester, who I believe is polite and professional, advised me that unfortunately I could not trade in the vehicle and i would have to speak to customer relations. I went in to use the promise I got online with my down payment and monthly payments. The dealer, Rufus told me they can't honor my online deal, I have to put more down, and my payments are $200 more than I was promised. Then, after his BS explanation, he attempted to grab my phone and almost filled out my review for him, so I had to grab my phone back. Not only did they give me a car with NO GAS, the windshield wipers broke upon first use, the radio went out, and they won't help fix it, and there are more issues I'm experiencing. The dealer stopped helping me so he could go talk to another person, while I waited for him to talk to this female in front of me, then he came and finished helping me. I was skeptical at first..read all the reviews and all the horrible reviews, and if what I was quoted for a down payment was real. I looked at the cars online that I like. They posted the VIN online, so I was able to do my own research on the car. I made an appointment to view the cars. Found one that I loved and test drove it. The car was in excellent condition, and the down payment I was quoted was the correct. I totally recommend getting the extended warranty and the gap insurance. You never know what can happen. I totally recommend this place. The staff was awesome, so helpful. Gave me time to read my contact information and not hover at all. Received a call about an application I put in. They mentioned the income I made and said if it was higher my down payment would be lower possibly. I emailed an employee my paystub to show my income did surpass a certain amount then I am told that some other people who work there have to look to see if it is fraud cause they have to check for those things and then I changed course in my decision. That's the first time I have been told that they have to make sure my paystub isn't fraud. It's probably the worst first impression you can make when trying to earn someone's business. If you are already viewing me as potential fraud then that's fine cause I'll just take my business elsewhere. My Fiancé and I went into drive time on Monday at 5:30pm. We test drove a few cars and decided we wanted to move forward but we had somewhere to be at 8PM. I believe it was Shewan that helped us out and she had us out of there in just over 1hr. We did end up returning the car because a bearing needed to be replaced and it isn't something major but Hyundai is booked out a few months. The return process was a few signatures and that's it. Horrible place that falsely advertises prices shady business and rude to potential customers. I would give them minus stars if yelp would allow it. Last month I got prequalified online on their website they quoted me $1300 down for any car on their lot. I called their corporate headquarters to make sure and they told me that was correct any car on the lot $1300 down. I set up an appointment when I showed up for my appointment after taking the train four hours to Sacramento they told me I did not have an appointment. I spoke with a gentleman on site days later who then just laughed at me over the phone I believe his name was de Sean when I told him about my troubles with the website cording me one price in the corporate customer service the same price he just laughed at me and told me I don't understand how it works. I then called back and asked to speak to a manager on the corporate phone number I spoke with Ashly she continued to tell me that they did not have to honor the price that it was going to be more than what I was quoted online and over the phone and I was never told that I have been emailing over and over she has completely ghosted me and they have refused to honor the price as they advertised and told me over the phone . Probably should turn it over to the Better Business Bureau for false advertisement. I would say don't waste your time or money with this place and its employees. read more

if anyone from drivetime is going to respond to this review with "we inspect our vehicles" don't waste your time. I purchased a Mazda CX-5 back on February 5,2023 and on March 11, 2023 my check engine light came on and started sputtering at a complete stop. took the car to one of in network shops to be told that the engine coils and spark plugs were the issue when the service manager called Silver rock they automatically denied the claim when I spoke with a manager at silver rock just to be told that items covered on the state bindery contract were only covered and it was against the law to approve anything not on the list I was also told by management that if I escalated my claim it would not be approved, after speaking with drivetime customer relations they were able approve and get these items fixed. pick up my car just to be told that the engine light is still on and that there were wires that had black masking tape around the exposed wires. took this car to Mazda dealer and was told that the tip roses were split and the fuel injector had to be replaced due to all of the build up this is how I know for a fact that the vehicles are not inspected!!!! once again silver rock denied the claim and drivetime reviewed the video from Mazda that claims that the vehicle was not safe to drive and was indeed a safety hazard - mind you I drove this car from Modesto to San Jose.... scary! drivetime had to again review my case and just to be told that their management were not satisfied with the findings and it was too expensive and that I had to take the car to another mechanic for a second review... I'm paying $265 out of my pocket for a diagnostic and what if this claim gets denied at the the third shop?????? horrible customer service and these people don't care, they have my money and why would they care about a liability issue on the road? I would advise anyone to not buy from this dealership they do not inspect their vehicles and the warranty is a waste of money! read more
