Quintessential Paris Bistro! Excellent food and an amazing atmosphere. The service was stretched but given the influx of affluent tourists that might not be totally unexpected. The seafood dishes were clearly the stars. Great experience. If you can get a reservation you should go, it is that simple.

My fiancée brought me here to celebrate our engagement in Paris, and I was so proud of him (he knows how much good food means to me, and he did his research to find the perfect place!) Drouant is definitely upscale dining, and although our total bill came to around €245, it was worth the 5 stars and the experience! From coat check, to a sommelier providing perfect wine pairings, to a bread basket that was never empty, the service at Drouant alone earned it 5 stars. However, the food was also impeccable and I was so excited for the opportunity to have celebratory caviar (only €35!!!), whereas in the US it often costs $100+! I will also say that even though we ordered both appetizers and entrees, I appreciated that everything here is offered á la carte, because often restaurants in Paris will require a 2-3 course menu. By ordering a la carte, you can definitely save some money here and there--the most expensive part of our bill was the wine (€30 a glass, oof) but there are also cheaper options as well. For dinner, we started with the caviar (Baerii d'Aquitaine) which was a good "caviar for newbies" and the stracciatella cheese. For dinner, I was a bit disappointed because the night we visited, they were out of the linguine with blue lobster which I really wanted to try, but instead I opted for the risotto (piping hot and amazing flavor!) and my fiancée had the beef fillet (the black pepper sauce was incredible). By dessert, we were too stuffed to try anything--but I am sure they have some amazing options if the other food we had was any indicator of its quality! Overall, Drouant is absolutely worthy of its Michelin nods and a wonderful choice for a standout dinner experience.

Very nice place, very French food. We had a limited menu for our large group but the food was very good.

Are there a few nights ago on my last night in Paris, wish I found it sooner, would eaten there twice. Top notch food and service, throughly enjoyed myself

My husband and I chose to have our last dinner in Paris here. Everything tasted great. The sommelier provided amazing choices for our meal. The service was excellent. The ambiance was romantic. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because my husband didn't like his dish had a pile of spinach underneath. He wasn't aware it was going to be that much so he wasn't able to eat all of his dish. But what he did eat he enjoyed. We would go back to try other dishes if we visit Paris again.

Presentation was great and ambience is very chic. Maybe we should have tried a third dish, but the vol au vent and sole that we ordered were only so so.

Intron (lemon) tart -- best ever!

Excellent 2nd arrondissement modern French restaurant great food and presentation, top notch service, in a very nice set of rooms. A little more expensive than a bistro, but worth it. My entrecôte was perfectly cooked, with a great green pepper sauce. The citron tart with sorbet was fantastic. We loved the "vin de France" viongier souillard white wine. Highly recommended.

Found this on trip advisor and yelp. Reviews were good. At one time it was even Michelin rated. Inside it's upscale, yet cozy and intimate. We had an appetizer, 2 entrees, and dessert. The foie gras was amazing. (I know it's inhumane and I'm going to hell but we were in Paris...). Entrees were the duck and fillet. GET THE DUCK! It was awesome. I'm from texas so I'm spoiled when it comes to beef. If you're from texas don't get the fillet it is tough for a fillet. ( plus they need to sharpen the steak knives). The flavor was good though. I wish the fries had more of a potato taste and not so thin and a little on the greasy side. Still though it was a great meal. And for dessert we got the millefeuille. My husband said the whole evening was worth it just to have that!

The restaurant was very accommodating in hosting a large party with no reservations on last-minute notice. We were greeted with a settled welcome and a pleasant coat check-in service. Our group of fifteen was split into two tables but seated in the same room. Lights were deemed, and dinner service was promptly started. Overall, it was a joyful experience. Although the service suffered at times with a lack of attention, I attributed it to the circumstances around our last-minute reservation. Recommendations: Three meat Pate, Vol-au-Vent, Madeleine.

My husand and I were looking forward to come to this restaurant. We searched menu, studied course. Like many reviews said, caviar was good choice, and langoustine was fabulous. But Steak! Someone said "Get the duck!" We should have ordered duck. Steak doesn't have flavor as much as we expected like a steak house. And they do need sharper steak nife. But service was super delicate in a good way. We were satisfied. Oh and they have good wine list. We didn't need to spend thousands to pair wine. They did know how to handle wine.

Fantastique!! Drouant is a beautiful, cozy restaurant located off Opera and is easily accessible by trains. Beautifully and tastefully decorated for the holidays. The restaurant was hopping upstairs with private parties and the restaurant was busy with customers. Despite being very busy, the staff was very attentive and hustling to accommodate everyone. The attention to quality and detail down to the flatware, glassware, and wine selection was impressive. The food was beautifully prepared and presented. The crispy langoustines and the raviole de homard (lobster) in a cognac reduction where delicious but I adored the risotto a la truffle. It was difficult to choose a dessert. The Paris Brest was recommended and it did not disappoint. Thank you for a fabulous evening! I will be back! www.Drouant.com

Throughout our trip from Provence, Basque Country and Paris, I joked that they must hate me for ordering my beef med b/c it was so much tougher compared to our beef. Anyway, it's just different. Our server spoke English fluently and was such a hoot...full of personality & joy. Per his recommendation, we ordered it med-rare b/c it continues cooking table side on the sizzling platter. We ate too much. It's a lot of food to split the cote de boeuf btn two. Comes with very good chubby fries and 3 sauces. TBH, I didn't love the sauces. Luckily we walked 6miles that day and skipped lunch. Started with a garden salad, but sadly we had no room for dessert. Reservations via email. Making a reservation isn't hard but you do need to email them and there's no online booking system. You also have to confirm again 1-2 days before. I understand they are small with a limited number of tables so that's fair and it seemed like everyone showed up even though they don't require a deposit. On a Friday night, it didn't appear there was much chance or walking in although there were like 2 open seats at what would have been a shared table. The menu is small and includes some typical French starters, steaks, 3 non steak entrees, cheeses, and dessert. All steaks come with potatoes, 3 sauces, salad. Service was a highlight. The waiter was personable and funny, had solid recommendations, and made sure leftovers were taken home. Also had a solid wine recommendation after asking some questions. They probably get a lot of people who don't speak French and they had no problem speaking English. The food- ordered a ribeye medium rare. The steak was so so charred on the outside and it almost ruined the whole thing. I really wish they would have charred it way less especially when it was ordered medium rare. There is seared and then there is burnt; this was sadly the latter. The steak itself was fine, honestly nowhere near the best meat I have had but the price is quite reasonable for how much you get. I would say the steak was maybe 6/10 for me, largely due to the cooking. The fries were phenomenal. Definitely a highlight and really tasty and with a great texture. Salad was good, pretty typical. I wanted to like the sauces more but found them just okay. The best by far for me was the blue cheese sauce but even this one I thought the flavors could have popped a little more. Atmosphere was fun, there were a few bigger groups (6-8 which is the biggest they accommodate) but it never got unreasonably loud. Overall I wanted to love it but was a bit disappointed even though the service and fries were both great.

We were so looking forward to the frog legs, onion soup and other delicacies pictured. We got there and the sign was just as it was with the same name -- Au Pied du Sacre Coeur. We should've noticed something was wrong when no one was inside. When the waiter (lone person working along with cook) gave us the menu, my wife and I stared at each other completely confused. The menu looked nothing like the ones on this website and featured Italian food items, like spaghetti, arroz con pollo or mozarella. I asked him about frog legs or the onion soup. He looked confused and just said no. Out of respect for him, we just ordered the charcuterie, which featured stale bread and a few slices of meat taken from my local grocery store in the U.S. Also -- they claimed to not accept any international credit cards. WHAT HAPPENED? Are all these reviews fake? Most likely, they underwent new ownership right when we visited. But new visitors -- please beware. Do not trust any of the reviews before mine. The free Cote du Rhône glass was appreciated for check-in! Our server had his head permanently at a 30 degree angle, staring at his mobile. Tis a shame.
