II ordered the torched Salmon Roll, the Tataki, and the Yellowtail, and those three totally made my night and were absolutely delicious! I will say, parking in CWE can be a little tricky. I also should mention that I came with a big party, and we had called ahead about splitting checks to make it easier. Our server said it would be possible, but the communication was lacking. In the end, we had to write down all our items ourselves, which was a bit of a hassle. Then, when we thought one of the checks was already paid, we returned and were met with some disrespect. I do understand it was a large group, and I give grace to the new server, but I really think they needed a better team effort that night. Overall, the food was amazing, but the service really brought the experience down.

I like coming here for the Sake & the vegan rolls. I noticed this newer vegan friendly menu item (pictured), and decided to have that instead. I'm usually skeptical about restaurants and their cauliflower recipes because they aren't always a hit, BUT this was amazing! I'm glad I found another Vegan option for me in the CWE when I don't feel like cooking. The ambiance is always amazing anywhere for this location. You can sit upstairs at or near the bar, inside/downstairs overlooking outside, or sit outside (weather permitting) and still enjoy the environment.

This might be the best happy hour in St. Louis. Drinks and rolls run about a third of the regular price, so it's definitely worth it. The restaurant is two stories, fairly spacious, and has a small patio for when the weather's nice. The regular menu is on the pricier side, but I love how many vegetarian options they had. We got two orders each of the black panther roll and the vegan roll, plus cauliflower bites as an appetizer, which were really tasty!! Just a heads up, when you first walk in there's a faint musty smell, like the place hasn't been mopped recently, but it doesn't affect the food at all. I'll be back to take advantage of that happy hour again.

Went for happy hour which is an incredible deal! $6 per roll when they go for about $20 is a steal. I went for the white tiger and the mother of dragon rolls (this must be Game of Thrones-inspired). They are absolutely worth it when it comes to happy hour. Based purely on taste, I thought the sauces were a bit overdone especially on the white tiger - I could barely taste the fish. I'm not sure I would pay for these rolls outside of happy hour. I also tried my friends black panther roll which sounds interesting on paper but the purple rice was very hard, almost undercooked! I was expecting a sticky rice consistency. Service was slow with a lot of looking around for our server. Overall, 100% recommend here if it's during happy hour and would think twice otherwise.

Went on a friday night. Made reservations & showed up about 20minutes early. They had availability outside. We said great, sat outside onna nice evening. However the traffic really made it unpleasant. The server took our drink & appetizer order. Returned with drinks & took our food order. The food came out quickly. We ordered tempura, edamame, mango roll, california roll, vegetable roll & had them Make a cucumber roll for our picky eater. Food was decent. Not the best sushi Ive ever had but not the worst either.

I wasn't a big fan as someone who religiously eats out. The server was just ok. She seemed slammed, but we went during light traffic so not many patrons inside/outside restaurant. The weather was permitting so we sat in the patio area outside. Our waters were never refilled and we weren't provided any utensils. Then, when asked we waited 15+ minutes because the host forgot. When we got up to ask again they said, "we don't give utensils out [to non customers]. Lol, weird. Then the host realize we were sitting outside--mind you we mentioned this when asking the first time--she says, "oh, that makes sense." An odd experience. The food wasn't great either. Bite size food portions. Drinks were good, but tasted like a popsicle. I was underwhelmed and probably won't return. There are plenty options in the CWE so you're not missing anything with this one.

Staff is super friendly. And the ambiance of the restaurant is always pretty chill The food is always hot & fresh and I try to come at least once a week. Bailey was amazing also!

I visited the Drunken Dish for the first with a friend on a Thursday around 5pm and had a great time. The restaurant has a bright, open-air vibe with lots of wood that reminiscent of Japandi interior design. Eating here is great for any occasion. Ordered Drunken Fish Signature Roll and it came out so quick. The flavors were a great balance of salty, sweet, and Unami flavors with wonderful textures. The only thing was I inhaled the roll so fast, so maybe a slightly larger portion size would have been nice. Service was fast and attentive. Overall, an excellent place for sushi

I went to Drunken Fish last night with my girlfriend -- a spot I always heard my older brothers hype up back when they'd hit the Central West End. It's long had a reputation as one of those "nicer" dinner spots in the area. After finally trying it, I'd say... it was okay. The vibes were decent and the service was friendly and prompt. No complaints there. It was a bit chilly inside, but to be fair, I'm always cold -- so I'll let them slide with that this time. We ordered Asahi beers and asked for them on draft, but unfortunately, they only had bottles. That might seem like a small thing, but the experience isn't quite the same -- the bottle version just never hits right for me. We started with the Firecracker Shrimp. Texture-wise, it was on point: crispy batter and great crunch. However, the "smoky dragon sauce" threw me off. It had this smoky BBQ flavor that wasn't terrible -- just not something I want paired with shrimp. It gave more chicken wing vibes than seafood. Drunken Fish Roll (my order): Shrimp tempura, Japanese mayo, asparagus, topped with tuna, eel sauce, Masago, tempura crumbs, and sprouts. Flavor-wise, it was solid. My issue? The "Japanese mayo" was giving Hellmann's or Miracle Whip more than Kewpie or Kenko. I'll be straight up, if they're going to call it Japanese mayo, it should taste like it. Either that or go heavier on the eel sauce to carry the roll. Crispy Volcano Roll: My girlfriend got this one. I don't like crab mixes, so I didn't try it, but it looked well-presented and crispy. She said it was good but not mind-blowing. It wasn't a bad night -- but it wasn't a great food experience either. Will I try Drunken Fish again? Yes. Will that be soon? No.

Was greeted right away by a super friendly hostess. We were seated and got some amazing drinks called the Mr. Miyagi. We got there during happy hour so the drinks were $6.00 and the sushi we ordered was on the happy hour list for $6.00. We also ordered the breaded cauliflower.. soo good. The sushi was delicious. I would definitely recommend and will be back.

After a short google search I found this location and wanted to give it a try. Prior to going I called to see if reservations were needed. They let me know no same day reservations were available and promptly hung up the call. Maybe that should of indicated that it was going to be an eh experience. I brushed it off as maybe they were slammed. They had amble seating and looked like a local regular spot. The type where wearing sweatpants and jeans were typical. The location is very casual. The pricing is probably $35-45 pp depending on what you're in the mood for. You could easily spend more depending on what menu item calls out to you. I went with the pineapple chicken bowl and appreciated having a dish with veggies in it. My friend had a sushi roll. Everything was ok, 2-3 stars.

My friend and I came here for quick dinner plans. We were immediately sat upstairs and this was my first time being on the upper floor. I honestly prefer sitting upstairs than downstairs. Nontheless our waiter greeted us and he was polite and patient since this was my friend first time going here. We eventually settled on the chicken teriyaki nachos as a appetizer and for our entrees we got seafood friend rice that contained scallops, crab meat and shrimp. The other dish was a salmon poke bowl. We ordered regular foundation drinks but if you want goo alcoholic beverages this place has some good choices. Everything tasted good. As always until next time...

Drunken Fish had good food and good service. I had the summer salad with shrimp. It was delicious. I was immediately turned off by the dirty table, sticky floors, dirty menu, and dirty bathroom. I saw on of their employees smoking outside of the restaurant before going in. Go to Drunken Fish for good food and little else.

The chefs are always hard at work in the kitchen and you can tell everything is made with love. I had never had any issues here with the food nor the staff. However, I had a different experience in April. My friend made a reservation for his birthday today. It was the groups' first time coming and they were all very excited. We called multiple times to make sure a group of 12 was okay. We are all aware that not every restaurant is suitable for such a big group, but were told it was not a problem. As soon as we sat down, we could tell one of the servers was very annoyed at the group. From the start, he would answer with an attitude, harshly put the plates on the table, and was outright disrespectful when we asked about a friend's plate that never arrived. This person ended up leaving and going to eat somewhere else. I was a server before and understand that big groups can be frustrating. Nevertheless, there is no excuse to treat a table so rudely when they have been nothing but nice and understanding. The food was great, but we were all extremely dissapointed, specially me since I've been here numerous times with no problem. I had never seen this server before, so I'm not sure if it was an off day for him or what. Most people said they would not come back, which made me very sad since it's good food. Thankfully, the female servers were all very nice and accomodating after the entire situation. I highly recommend Sushi Koi for their rolls. However, do not come in big groups.
