I really like the interior of this Korean restaurant. The walls have large, colorful, cartoon-y paintings. There are several TVs playing fun K-pop music videos. I love the Jinro Soju frogs they have up front. We were greeting by a friendly girl, who was also our server. She brought us a carafe of water, plastic with a little Jinro frog on it. She was super helpful, and asked if we had questions about the menu, which has full plates, combinations, and lots of street-style food. We ordered some mango soju (similar to sake--kind of like sweet vodka). It was really good! Two of us ordered the bulgogi, and one ordered the spicy pork. Both came with white rice. I really liked the spicy pork, which had quite a hot kick to it. The bulgogi was good, too. The serving sizes where quite large, which was good because we had lunch the next day. The bulgogi was not quite as good as I've had in another Mesa restaurant, but it was still good. The fun atmosphere more than makes up for it. I've been here before, and will definitely be back.

What we got: Combo B (corn cheese, pork belly salad and soju bomb) $37 Combo C ( padak, French fries and a bottle of beer) Pineapple fried rice Takoyaki Literally have no complaints everything was great hear, kimchi fried rice had perfect amount of spice and flavor and the bacon pieces really give it a interesting flavor balance, corn cheese has the right amount of cheese were you never had any clumps of cheese and the corn was very sweet in flavor too yummy! There padak is soft and crunchy at the same time . The takoyaki had a good amount of octopus inside of them pleased with that as well this is a great spot I'll be back for sure

I really liked it here! I had the Korean bbq chicken and enjoyed it. The flavor and texture was amazing. Many in my party were braver than me, eating stuff with fish cake and different drinks. I played it pretty safe but would love to go back for more Korean bbq!!! They had fun music paying and good service.

Came here Saturday evening with a group of 7. We've been here many, many times over the years. It's a good spot for a casual night out with friends. Because I've been here so many times, I forgot to snap more photos of the food everyone ordered, including my own order, but managed to get one photo of one of my friend's order plus my to go order. We all arrived between 7:30-8pm. The place filled up pretty quick afterwards! Food here is good. Im not a fan of soju though so I ordered a Lychee Makgeolli. I wasn't too hungry at the time so I ordered the Garlic Parmesan Mandu to snack on. Would probably skip this item next time. My friends all ordered different things. The Kimchi Fried Rice my friends ordered looked good so I ordered one to go. I tried a bite of my friend's tteokbokki with ramen and cheese as well. Was never fan of tteokbokki but I did like the ramen and cheese in the dish! I've had their corn cheese, popcorn chicken and soy garlic chicken as well before and those are pretty good. They have many different flavors of soju and makgoelli available here. If that's what you and your friends are into, then this would be your spot!

I was visiting my friends in AZ, and we decided to come here on a Wednesday night - it was such a great choice!!! FOOD: What didn't we have? LOL - Ramen aka ramyun - Not like Japanese ramen. This is Korean ramen, and oh boy, it was yummy, and it was a generous portion. - Fried Mandu - average, I wouldn't buy this again. - Tteokbokki - we ordered this twice! Needless to say, I was impressed at how yummy it was. - Korea Red chicken wings - I was impressed with how much I liked the spice, but they aren't very big. - Bulgogi - This was good but it was no frills. DRINKS: I love Makkoli, and they have a Lychee flavor. This is by far my favorite flavor!! We ordered a bunch of Cass and Soju, of course. Reasonable pricing -- of course not as cheap as in Korea lol SERVICE: They are super chill. You're not going to get fine dining service because you're being served drunk food lol They may forget about you so make sure you flag them down. AMBIANCE: Korean music and music videos are playing on TVs. Loud ambiance -- even on a Tuesday night. It's not a place you bring your parents. This is the spot you come with your friends after taking an edible or to drink - a lot!

Okay - so this spot is gonna be a new favorite and we found it tonight through a completely random search on yelp. We love Korean food so decided on pork kimchi fries, corn cheese, garlic soy chicken with seasoned rice. Could've cleared the plates, but can't wait to enjoy it for lunch again tomorrow! Kimchi pork fries weren't "level 3" spicy for us, but could totally see how someone who isn't into "spicy" food would think so - but we thought it was delicious & perfect spice for us! Service was fast and food came out quickly, that was nice because we were hungry tonight :) Love the art/mural walls, fun lighting and music was chill too! We will def be back - thanks!

I went to drunken Tiger with a Bookclub so I got to try a variety of their dishes. I thought many of their dishes were not bad, but I also wasn't super blown away by anything. I probably like the fried chicken the most, and I probably liked the tteokbokki the least.

We're back again and this time we tried some new dishes. We got the spicy mussels and yang nyum chicken. The taste of the sauces are quite similar that we had to get the cheese corn to balance out the flavors. Which was the best move we made tonight. Their cheese corn is one of the best tbh. I can say the dishes weren't spicy this time around and we were both wondering if the chef had changed or not. Overall, glad we tried different dishes this visit but would recommend doing different pairings. (Don't order both the spicy mussels and yang nyum chicken at the same time ) For instance, get the corn cheese with spicy pork ,upon and spicy mussels. Or get the kimchi fried rice , corn cheese and fried chicken.

I've never been big on tofu but I tried it. I'm still not big on tofu. But I tried it. I won't be trying tofu again for awhile. But if you like good food... After an unexpected layover at a local private airport, I found myself with a couple of hours to spare. Hungry and tired, I stumbled upon Drunken Tiger, a Korean restaurant not far from the tarmac. The experience was surprisingly refreshing, a perfect respite from the demands of flying. The moment I walked in, the lively beats of K-Pop music enveloped the space, infusing a vibrant energy that was almost palpable. It was a stark contrast to the quiet hum of my jet's cockpit and exactly what I needed to rejuvenate. The music, loud but not overbearing, added a layer of authenticity to the atmosphere. What truly set Drunken Tiger apart was its staff. Despite my limited time and obvious fatigue, they were incredibly accommodating, ensuring a swift but enjoyable dining experience. Their attentiveness and efficiency were remarkable, allowing me to relax without worrying about the time. Though I didn't delve much into the intricacies of the cuisine, the overall ambiance of Drunken Tiger made my brief layover a delightful interlude. It's a gem worth visiting, especially for those seeking a quick escape from the demands of a hectic schedule.

    ramyun (ramen)

my boyfriend and i went here last night but it was pretty bad. we got the ramyun w/ an added egg + rice cakes and asked for it extra spicy, the kimchi pork fries, the boneless korean fried chicken, and the potstickers. my boyfriend actually loved the kimchi pork fries but i thought they were flavorless. He disagreed though but we did agree that everything else here was flavorless. the ramyun had great texture and the spice was perfect (extra spicy for sure) but literally tasted like nothing. the egg had more flavor than everything else we ate the potstickers again tasted like nothing. the service wasn't great either. keep in mind it was not busy at all. there were 3 tables sitting and eating, including us. and one of tables was basically done by the time we sat down. anyway, there was one server helping us all out but she never came to check up on us. and she was always gone. she was in the back and i would see her pop out every now and then but then the other tables would grab her attention first and then she would disappear again. and she wasn't that charismatic. she looked like she didn't want to talk to us at all. the restaurant looked kind of cool though, but i don't think the vibes of the paintings on the walls are worth the overpriced food, the bad service, and the food that doesn't taste like anything

Great atmosphere. They have a disco ball in the middle , just like the 70s. Music is not too loud. Dimly lit, but perfect. Order your drinks right away, because ours took forever. Nothing to write home about here. The real crab Rangoon is ok but they are small. The chicken tenders are huge portions. It's like they cut a breast in half for each tender. But a friend wanted to meet for food around the area and this spit popped up on Yelp. It didn't disappoint! I was skeptical at first as having a sign posted at the sidewalk and a bouncer outside the stairs going down, was a sheer sign that this isn't such a secret and speakeasy-like spot. But I was proven wrong very quickly. Dre who was the bouncer and I'd much rather call Drayden, is young but friendly. The hall leading down to the entrance was well decorated. It's hard to miss the door when you can hear people on the other side :). Hostess was nice. Alex immediately introduced himself from behind the bar as I sat down, and Meagan was the main bartender this night. They were both a wealth of knowledge when it came to cocktails. I really wasn't expecting too much but the two drinks I ordered were a solid 5/5. I had the silk bandit and the untold legacy. I like sweet drinks this way. It wasn't too sweet. All the flavors were well balanced and well thought out. They also had a girl singing tonight and she was amazing!!! Thanks for a nice relaxing night. This time was checking…read moreout a speakeasy located in the heart of downtown Gilbert on a Friday evening at 9 p.m. I parked for free on the street before making my way to The White Rabbit. There are some things I really love about The White Rabbit and some that I didn't. Ambiance (3/5): When I think of a speakeasy, I think intimate. The White Rabbit is not that. It's pretty large for a speakeasy with a large bar and a good number of tables/booths. They weren't at capacity while I was there, but there were a good number of people there. Which made it pretty loud. To the point where you have to yell at your bartender when ordering your drink so they can hear you. Perhaps a much different experience on a week day. Getting in the speakeasy was both a hit and a miss. If you're subscribed to their email list, as I am, you get a different password every month. I was excited about this. Upon approaching The White Rabbit, I saw a sign naming the establishment and pointing me in the right direction. This takes away from the spirit of speakeasies which are supposed to be truly hidden without any signage identifying the restaurant. You'll see a velvet rope blocking a stairwell where you tell one of the bouncers the password. I had a reservation. If you don't know the password, as another party there didn't, they ask you to access a QR code to find out or ask others who are waiting. I appreciated the dedication to the cause. Once you get in, you walk down the stairwell, and then enter a cool hallway decked out with Prohibition-style decor. That leads you into the main room. The main room is also Prohibition-style though a bit unremarkable. The bathrooms are clean and also feature some cool paintings (and they also hide that they are actual bathrooms). With that being said, when I liked the hallway and the bathrooms better than the bar itself, that's a bit of an issue. Seats at the bar are bar stools without back support. Never fun for my old man back. I did, on the other hand, appreciate that they have free WiFi. Service (3.5/5): The service was generally pretty good, though a bit slow. They start you off with some water without asking you which is always a nice touch. It was just one of those situations where you have to put some effort into getting a bartender's attention on several occasions. Food (N/A): I had dinner prior so no food for me. I did check out the menu. They have a small selection of appetizers, flatbreads, and desserts. Drinks (3/5): When I'm at a speakeasy, I'm looking for creativity and an interesting blend of ingredients and flavors. While The White Rabbit has a good number of cocktails, many of them didn't attract me. Part of it is a matter of personal preference. There were only two drinks out of about 20 that I was interested in. Overall, I wanted a little more, but with that being said, the drinks were reasonably priced for a speakeasy. Not a bad speakeasy by any means, I have super high standards when it comes to these watering holes. Just not in my top five when it comes to speakeasies in Phoenix and surrounding areas.

Chef Roberto was nominated as the 2024 up-and-coming chef. This restaurant is perfect for a romantic date night or a large gathering. One side of the restaurant features a large bar along with smaller tables. Then, on the other side of the restaurant there are larger tables. I love how the intimate dining is separate from larger gatherings. Definitely a lot of thought and planning went into the Layout of this restaurant. When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by the hostess. Behind her was a small case featuring oysters. The young woman that seated us was kind and showed us to our seat. Our servers name was Nicki. She was also very friendly and had very good recommendations. To drink I started off with The Phoenix and my husband had a bottled beer. My drink was very delicious. Freshly squeezed citrus juices gave it a bit of a tart taste. It was definitely a deliciously crafted cocktail. For dinner I chose to have the restaurant week menu. Please see photo below. I selected the Birria dumplings. They consisted of Wagyu beef cheek, cabbage slaw, roasted corn, confit, mushrooms, bok choy, beef, broth, and chili sauce. We both thoroughly enjoyed them and would definitely get them again. For my main course, I selected the K4 flat iron steak, prepared, medium rare. It was accompanied by Chiltepin sauce - potatoes - flour tortilla - beans. There was definitely something about the potatoes and how they were dry roasted, then added to the beans. The way the potatoes absorbed the residual liquid from the beans created a delicious melody of flavors. Steak was delicious and perfectly. K4 is a. premium Meat shop in Prescott, Arizona. For Dessert, I ordered the Keylime pie. I have to admit I do not like Keylime pie but today I have seen the light! Or should I say spirit? Esprirtu's Keylime pie is the best I have ever had. Less like a traditional pie it's layered and cut into a square. The lime zest on top gave it that extra finishing touch of tart. Thank you to the entire staff for a very delicious and memorable meal. We will absolutely positively be returning.

Wow, I love the vibe here! It's dark and moody but still energetic. Our server was amazing. The…read moreguys weren't sure which 2/3 oyster types to get, so they said surprise us and the kitchen sent all three (the last was pretty tiny, but the flavor flight was there). The market price steak is pricey, but very well received at our table. Having a big night out? Consider the punch (big black seashell looking vessel). Worried it will be too sweet? We were, too. Let your server know what kind of flavors you're looking for and if your bartender is feeling kind, they'll tailor it to you a bit more so it's maximum enjoyment. The birria dumplings are incredible! Make sure you order those!! I had one of the best pina coladas EVER here, too. Basically, the place is great but it comes at a price so pick your visit date and celebrate something!

I was out running errands on a Wednesday night and was in the mood for a good cheesesteak. Decided…read moreto pull out my phone. and instead of using Yelp, I actually just punched cheesesteak into Waze, and what do you know?! I ended up finding the cheesesteak joint. This is actually a food truck, which is parked on the side of the Tipsy Catcus, which is a really cool brewery I also checked out while I was waiting for my order. This is a really chill brewery, and not a huge spot. Maybe 8 to 10 high top tables with bar seating, and a mostly open floor plan. They have a small patio too, with what looks like about another tables but because I visited at night, nobody was outside. They also seem to be extremely dog friendly as they had one table with a really chill cocker spaniel completely laid out on his side in the middle of the floor. I'm not sure how many taps they had in total, but definitely more than 40 I would say. I'm not a big beer drinker, so I ordered a cider. The cider I was served was on tap and really tasty. And it definitely hit the spot of terms of price point. One thing to note, while I was talking to the owner/manager of the tipsy cactus (shout to him because he was really cool), he told me that Friday night and Saturday nights are usually popping so I wouldn't expect to be first in line on any of those nights. It also looks like they rotate food trucks on different nights, so don't assume that the cheesesteak truck is going to be here every night. I would check the tipsy cactus website, or Instagram page to be sure. I'll definitely be looking forward to checking this place out again in the future, especially if I'm hitting one of the food trucks parked outside.
