Dry creek stacker
Nat P.

One of my favorite sandwich spots! I love coming here on the way to nearby vineyards. It is such a unique yet nostalgic place with a great variety of food, snacks, and souvenirs. There's always a line, no matter what day it is! The sandwiches here are real star! I'd honestly drive hours away just to get one. And I have done this multiple times! It probably sounds crazy, but once you've had it, you'll understand. My favorite s sandwich here is called the dry Creek stacker with everything on it, and I always ask for a pinch of salt and pepper for the extra touch of flavor. Trust me, one bite and you will love this sandwich! I love how packed it is with everything I love. I would also recommend getting the classic chicken or tuna salad to go. Or better yet get their old-fashioned potato salad. All of them are honestly the perfect side to top off with your sandwich. Honestly, this place never disappoints. Even if you're just passing through, it is worth the stop and the wait since it can get busy.

Fun place out of town. Great little bar. Great selection of sandwiches and just enough items for sale that don't overwhelm the senses.

Group of us stopped in for sandwiches to be made as take out. Gotta balance it with wine tasting. Tuna salad sandwich, veggie with hummus sandwich, chicken salad sandwich and one other... cannot recall... except for the fact they were all delicious. Chai lattes were good too! Sat outside to relax. Lots of things to consider buying in the store! Great place to stop!

i've been stopping here for a great many years and it's definitely worth stopping in to grab one of many delicious sandwiches and they have premade sandwiches ready to go. several refrigerators full of all sorts of drinks you may want as well as all kinds of chips and snacks to go with your sandwich. They have lots of fresh baked goods I usually buy at least one of the cookies and they're kind of huge that's OK. We can take a few days to finish it no problem. The service here is very quick. They are used to large crowds on the daily so the line moves quickly. and they have seating inside and in front if you feel like sitting down and enjoying your amazing sandwich. me and my besties usually stop here when we're out and about doing tastings in the area, so let's have a nice little Sammy in between or on your way home either way you won't be disappointed. It's practically tradition for us now to go there at least once when we're in the area. So if you're in the Neighbourhood and feeling a little bit hungry this spot has lots of good things to eat right here waiting for you. cheers, my friends SYOY 11/25/25

Stopped in on Saturday when it was cool and damp out to satisfy our cozy fall sandwich cravings. Thankfully I beat the line! Turkey pesto panini and Turkey cranberry panini for the win! Thanksgiving flavors a few days early! Fresh bread, fresh ingredients, balanced proportions, cheesy goodness! I'm craving another sandwich and hope to get another next week! Highly recommend a visit for their sandwiches, and while you're there be sure to check out their picnic provisions and beautiful holiday decor!

I always used to pass by this establishment as a kid when my family would take us on long drives through wine country when we'd visit our grandparents all the way from Guam. This past season was finally the time I was able to stop in to try it. Looking at the Dry Creek General Store, it looks like an unassuming, country-style rest stop for day drinkers. After pushing through their screen door, you enter into the general store where you will see shelves of jars of pickles, jams, cookies, and mustards, fridges filled with refreshing beverages, and coolers of ready-made salads and sandwiches. The first time I came in, it was an experience for myself and a group of my friends visiting from the South Bay. After enjoying a once-in-a-lifetime tour of Hawley Vineyards, we stopped here for a quick break and bite-to-eat as we all have different dietary needs and wants so figured this was the place to solve that issue. We came on a Saturday, and while packed, the service was quick and easy. While we were a group of 7, it was easy for us to find seating inside as it was hot outside. From what I recall, everyone was pleasantly surprised and satisfied with what they ordered. It was so good that I decided to take my boyfriend in for a lunch a month later. When my boyfriend and I ended up going, it was later in the day and the place was empty. Ordering was even easier than before and we sat outside on one of the many picnic tables they have while being able to look at the vineyards and watching the workers do their pruning. We ended up ordering a pulled pork pastor. We both really enjoyed the sandwich with a jar of hot peppers I ended up buying when I was browsing. Overall, really great place for anyone visiting the area. Extremely kid-friendly, handicap accessible, and great for groups!

First time at Dry Creek General Store. Got a cheese sandwich with avocado and a coke here on my way to Lake Sonoma. Wide variety of food and drink, plus a nice selection of wine and gifts. Quick, easy efficient customer service and the exterior has an old fashioned look. Will definitely be returning here.

First time at the Dry Creek General store. Specifically came for the sandwiches. Pretty busy for the Labor Day holiday but even with the long line...it went pretty fast. The deli case a variety of salads but once they're out, they're out! Ordered the muffuletta sandwich and Italian sub. The muffuletta was amazing! The dutch crunch was soft,l and the sandwich was pretty stacked. My Italian was okay. The bread was kind of hard and the fillings were kind of lacking. It didn't taste bad but nothing over the top. Sat inside cause it was pretty warm but definitely outside if you can for the views!

We usually come here for grab and go lunch while wine tasting. There are SO many excellent food choices here. It's truly a wonderful place. If you want something very special, it's here. If you want a regular old deli sandwich, it's here, too. And all of it is in a very old, rustic building, staffed with knowledgeable workers who can assist with anything you need. What a treasure.

Old world charm. Great sandwiches which we took for a picnic at Armstrong Redwoods. Kids could sit on real saddles. Lots of interesting gift items for sale. Nice Christmas decorations. Friendly counter people.

This place is a solid 2.5. No more, no less. Some of the sandwiches are fairly tasty, and there's always a convenient array of snacks, quality cheeses, crackers, wine, and more. But for what you pay, the ingredients could be better. Also sometimes the sandwiches come burnt. There's a whole deli section where you can buy salads of all types like kale salad, Caesar salad, potato salad, beet salad, etc as well as sautéed veggie mixes, dips, olives, and more. I'd say the food is average 3/5 and service isn't particularly friendly. But it's a convenient place in between wineries and an easy stop to get picnic foods.

Breakfast sandwich slathered in so much mayo/sauce it was wet

I hate to do this.. But we had such a poor experience We stopped in on Sunday for breakfast on the way to the Lake. The service was slow, almost forgot to ring us up did it right at the end and boy we wish we wouldn't have paid because this was possibly the worst food I have ever seen be served. It was a wet soupy mess of a burrito with a soggy tortilla that fell apart it tasted like wet scrambled eggs no chorizo flavor involved, and a saucy slathered mayo mess of a breakfast sandwich. This run is over $40 and ended up in the trash. We opened it on the road and couldn't even take a bite it was a huge mess, I tried the sauce which seemed to just be mayo on the sandwich. I would have turned around and asked for my money back if our family hadn't been waiting for us to launch the boat. So disappointing!

Their build your own sandwiches are a great price! On top of that, they taste amazing. The store is very cute and the outdoor seating is great. Staff were friendly and accommodating. A great stop when you're in the area!

Great place for sandwiches. I had a true Italian sandwich and it was great. My wife had the turkey pesto. Had a Sioux City Sarsaparilla!

Cold, processed deli meats with the standard condiments is just not appealing to me. As we were driving through Healdsburg for lunch, my friend's Tesla suggested "Summer's Market & Deli" for a quick bite. The suggested reviews offered "BEST sandwiches" - though I had bias reservations (again, I don't like sandwiches). The shop is located in a neighborhood one mile off the beaten path. There are a couple of wooden picnic tables outside. Upon entering, the store is sparse, with a small ordering counter on the right side, drink fridge in the back and a few local items for purchase on the left side. The menu offered a variety of hot and cold sandwiches. I ordered the "Grilled Chicken Pesto sandwich", off the FAVORITES sandwiches menu. It includes a hearty combo of grilled chicken breast, red bell peppers, caramelized onions, provolone cheese, lettuce and tomato on a focaccia roll. WOW - the combination of high-quality ingredients made this one of the BEST sandwiches I have ever had!! Well done Summer! Will definitely recommend to all my friends and look forward to returning when I am in the area.

I do prefer lazzinis in SR but this is definitely up there on places that offer tasty sandwiches.

SCW and I stopped into Big John's market after it was recommended from a wine tasting experience…read more The store itself is larger than it looks like from the outside. When you get inside you'll see the varieties of cheeses available which is extensive. A little further in they have a decent sized salad bar with fresh looking veggies and a few prepared salads. There is also a warm items bar in that area. The deli is large and gets quite busy during lunch time. They have a few curated sandwiches on the overhead board or you can make your own. Take a number first if they are busy and order when called. They are pretty quick as our sandwiches were ready in about 5 minutes. I had a giorgi park (vegetarian) sandwich which came as a panini with great flavors and fresh ingredients. SCW had the veggie sandwich which was also really tasty. They have a burrito and pizza line as well. I got a vegetarian super burrito bowl which you can customize. Similar process as chipotle style. Everything looked fresh vibrant. The wine selection is varied and has some appealing options. The middle portion of the store is similarly set up like most grocery stores, cans, waters, cleaning products etc. The produce section is nice with good variety as well. You can find tofu and fake meats near the produce section. The store is clean and well lit. They have tables outside if you choose to eat there. The employees are very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend giving Big John's Market a try.

If you are looking for the absolute best in Sonoma County for high-end foodstuffs, look no further…read more Big John's Market is essentially a pilgrimage site for anyone who takes their pantry seriously. The store is beautifully laid out and curated with an eye for quality that puts most 'gourmet' chains to shame. The produce is consistently stunning, and the local wine selection perfectly reflects the best of our backyard (Dry Creek, Alexander Valley, and beyond). The standouts: * The Deli/Prepared Goods: This is the heart of the operation. The sandwiches are legendary, the pizza is artisanal-grade, and the prepared salads are actually fresh and inventive--not just an afterthought. * The Cheese Section: Simply sublime. It is clear whoever curates this section has a deep passion for local creameries and international classics alike. * The Experience: Despite the high-end inventory, the staff is incredibly friendly and grounded. Plus, in a town like Healdsburg, having a lot with decent parking is a massive luxury that makes the trip even easier. Whether you're stocking up for a dinner party or just grabbing the best lunch in town, this place is the gold standard.

I told him I wanted a super burrito carne asada, no lettuce. He said they only have al pastor and pollo right now. So I said I'll take the al pastor. He translated my order to the 1st guy. It took 15 minutes for him to make the burrito. There were no other customers at the taqueria. He grilled the al pastor on the flattop and then proceeded to assemble my super burrito. The woman cashier spoke perfect English so checkout was good. I took it home to eat. It was delicious and the flavors of the al pastor stood out. I recommend this Lola's taquiera as long as you're not in a hurry. This ain't fast food. Also, maybe brush up on your Spanish as it would help in ordering food. When stepping inside, you're greeted by a small area witha few tables, and the unmistakable scents of being inside an italian deli. We decided to split sandwiches to have a variety, so we got a special Spicy Cubano and a Tri Tip sandwich. First, I love a good Cubano, and this hit the spot, although the Pulled Pork was a little spicier than Id normally go for, but the flavor combo of the pork, ham, pickles was spot on and ratio'd nicely with the roll. The Tri-tip was also a flavor bomb, meat tender and flavorful, also with a good ratio to the roll . If I had one slight critique, I would have added a little salt to each. The chips, I believe they make on site, were a 10 outta 10, thin, light, crispy and seasoned perfectly. I would have bought a couple bags to go if it was an option. I did buy the frozen raviolis and marinara to go , to take home and make for the wife. It was simple to prepare, and while tasty, I didnt think it was significantly better in taste to justify the extra expense over some good quality ones that can be purchased at grocers closer to home. If you are in the area, and want a great deli sandwich to go, or even sit and eat, this place should be on your list to hit.
