    Enzo sandwich
    John K.

My wife and I have been wanting to try Genero's for a bit. Today we went and both got "The Enzo" sandwich. The sesame covered bread was excellent! It was a bit heavy on the salami and didn't have enough lettuce and pickled red onion and maybe some oil & vinegar. But it was a very good sandwich. The price was a bit steep. However, you get what you pay for. Withe the sesame roll and the amount of meat on the sandwich, it's worth it.

special of the day with pastrami

Genero's genuinely has the best sandwiches I've ever had and I've eaten a lot in my lifetime... I've only been here twice but after the first time, I literally thought about these sandwiches every day. If they had a Petaluma location I would be there weekly!

10/10 I HIGHLY recommend!! Im so excited for this family run, casual counter style service restaurant is in sebastopol serving up some of the BEST sandwiches I've ever had! There's also a deli counter with salads and fresh meats available by the pound! The service is super friendly! The owners are right on site and the people working the kitchen are definitely representing the flavors they've created. Their menu has something for everyone, even a sandwich with broccoli on it! I can't wait to eat through the menu, they are only 23 minutes from my house and open daily 11-4, how dangerous for me! LOL! I got the Genero sandwich & My Cousin Morty...Oh.My.Goodness both were heavenly and perfectly crafted with so much flavor. The fresh breads, the arugula, the dressings, the relish...wow!! The Genero sandwich is their house porchetta with herbed relish, pickled onion, arugula on a ciabatta bun with some of the crispy pork crackling tucked inside! Whoa! Please do yourself a favor and get this sandwich! I loved it so much I bought another one to take home! Sooo good!! The My cousin Morty was spectacular, every bite was perfect till the end. Again, the people working the kitchen did an amazing job crafting these sandwiches! Everything was perfect portions of meat, bread, sauce, veggies. The fresh cut mortadella with the provolone cheese & garlic mayo really go together well! Definitely get this if you love mortadella! I also got the beet salad, 100% recommended this! Fresh, perfectly seasoned, great portion! Super reasonable pricing on everything! All sandwiches are under $20 & fully loaded. They have mels gluten free bread available too! Lots of parking around the barlow, lots of tables outside to choose from after you order. Wine & beer available, also some yummy Italian imported goodies on the counter...give this newest place in the barlow a try ASAP!!

Best deli sandwich in the North Bay. High quality ingredients, insane flavors, all made with lots of attention to detail and care. This sandwich was so good I almost cried. I wanted to hug the dude after I was finished. THANK YOU GENERO'S

Excellent new addition to The Barlow dining options! Tried two sandwiches: My Cousin Morty and Enzo. Both were excellent and I'm excited to try more of their menu, including their vegetarian options. We also tried the beet salad and kale caesar from the deli case. Kale stole the show but both were delish. Outdoor, covered and heated seating. Kid-friendly, plenty of space to roam around.

Delicious! What a find- I had the pool boy and split with a friend. Love the pickle chips. The service was great- everyone was so sweet and seems happy to be working here.

The Barlow is lucky to have Genero's! I've been there twice and was highly satisfied both times. The first time I ordered the Spicy Zia (broccolini, arugula, onions (but soupy like French onion soup,) fontina cheese and calabrian chili paste on ciabatta). The second time I ordered the Spicy Zia with stracciatella instead of fontina. Both were great and made with care and quality by Thomas! Ian the owner is a cool dude, and let me know his wife is Italian (respect). They have been friendly and personable both times and the sandwiches have been great. Thanks for being here, Generos! Love, a New Jersey Italian-American

The Barlow has a new delicatessen with fantastic fresh deli sandwiches and salads. We tried the Spicy Zia and the Enzo, both were delicious. If you love a great deli sandwich prepared on fresh bread, with locally sourced fresh meats, and farm fresh veggies than this is the place to GO. The menu also offers salads and some tasty Antipasti and a great grab & go section.

Amazing food and friendly staff. I tried the spicy Zia and it was delicious. I can't wait to go back and try more items! I definitely suggest giving this place a try.

Absolutely amazing sandwiches! They are perfectly made and come out so fast for how busy they are. The guy who took my order who I'm guessing is the owner got my name for my order the first time I came and has remembered it everytime I've been back. Can't recommend this place enough.

Got the focaccia bread and for entrees I got bolognese and my wife got the pesto spaghetti with the GF rummo noodles. The bread was tasty and a big portion! My wife enjoyed her pesto spaghetti and I enjoyed my bolognese, however, the bolognese was very spicy. I didn't see any mention of chili flakes on the menu and I never send food back unless it's undercooked or the wrong meal. I ate it but boy it was spicy! A quick look at some other reviews showed me others have complained about the spicy bolognese. Bolognese is not normally spicy so it's definitely a bold choice of this restaurant to throw those in without warning. So, BE AWARE of that!! I'm still giving 5 stars because our server was super friendly, the restaurant was clean, comfy, and great location. And our food was tasty! We started with a Cappelletti Spritz (basically an Aperol spritz but not Aperol, and I kind of liked it better), some olives, meatballs, and the burrata toast. All were delicious! For our mains, we had the Bolognese (one with burrata and one without) and the spaghetti with Sunday Red. They made it a point to mention several times that the Bolognese had nutmeg in the sauce (NOT cinnamon as someone else posted. That would be very different.) and made sure it was okay with us. When the Bolognese came out, we discovered that they had red pepper flakes on them. My son doesn't like spicy, so we had them make another one without (took only a few minutes and we brought the other one home). It was delicious and you can definitely taste the nutmeg. We're happy we have another order! Everything was amazing. The portions were plenty. We didn't even have room for dessert and I kind of wanted that olive oil cake! Can't wait to come back.

On the wall was a chalkboard with the list of local farmers and vendors that they used to supply their restaurant. I loved how fresh and flavorful all the food was, but I loved their collaboration with small local business owners to provide them with things like eggs and dairy. I had an omelette with spinach, caramelized, tomatoes, chicken sausage, and goat cheese. This was one of the most delicious bites I've had at a breakfast spot in a long time. We also shared an order of beignets that came with some fresh apple butter, which was to die for! It felt like taking a bit off fall weather if that makes sense. My boyfriend had some biscuits and country gravy with a side of sausage and fried eggs. He loved everything that he ate as well. He also had a bloody Mary, which was made with Soju. Of course when I first heard about this place, I was intrigued. It's called Psychic Pie for god's…read moresake. (FYI, I'm super woo :)) Then, my sister-in-law raved about it, declaring it the best pizza she's ever had. (Or something incredibly declarative like that.) We decided to give it a try. Upon walking in, Fugazi was playing in the shop. That was a good sign. When do you ever hear Fugazi playing at an establishment nowadays, the last time was probably in a record shop in the 90s. The pizzas are displayed, and you choose how much of each pizza you'd like and they will cut some off for you and it is priced by weight. Then, they heat it up for you to melt the cheese, and viola! Served with cloth napkins, pizza scissors, if desired when eating-in. (Truly the most brilliant way to cut pizza!) Immediately, I saw "OG Potato" and that was a must have. It was something like Potato, ricotta, chile oil, mozzarella, dill. (Just to cut to the chase on this one, it was incredible! I am obsessed with ricotta, and there was something about all the combination of flavors especially the dill that gave some freshness amongst the rich taste of everything else.) Others we got were the pepperoni, a 4 cheese, and a vegan one with no cheese, just tomato sauce, roasted garlic, olives (there may have been other stuff on it, but that's what I remember) Everything was incredible, even the vegan one. The tomato sauce was so high quality, and I was glad there wasn't any vegan cheese on it. Just veggie tastiness in its purest form. The sourdough crust was light and fluffy. It was all just so high quality, and you can feel the passion for their food. Oh yeah, I almost forgot a big star: the Kale Caesar. Don't sleep on that one. It's one of the best salads we've had in years. It was flavorful, with bits of sunflower seeds to give it crunch. Dressing was on-point with a mountain of fluffy parm on top. And so here's the thing with the current state of eating establishments. There is so much expensive mediocre food out there. Nowadays, you may pay $12 for a salad that's out of a bag with wilted ends and sorry baby carrots. And so, considering there's a place that's putting beautifully intentional food out there, I'd rather choose to go to the place that is high quality and cares about their food and sustainability. We topped off our experience with soft serve and a cookie. The soft serve was amazing. We got it 'eat-in' and it was high quality soft-serve in a whimsical cup and presidential spoons. (Love the sustainability angle, but also the whimsy) You can get it with olive oil and sea salt and other toppings, but I went pure. It was milky and homey, and just gooood. (My hubs wanted the cookie) Not to mention, service was genuine. There was a slow, no-rush vibe to this place that might piss some people off. But given its name, I feel like it's apt. It's Psychic Pie for god's sake, and the ethereal does not rush. In the ethereal, time doesn't exist!!! (lol) You can feel that every part of this establishment is in the vision of its owner, wanting the experience to be a part of their authenticity and values. And we need more of that in this world right now. (And I don't mean some skewed sense of 'authenticity' as in just saying whatever comes to mind and is 'in your face' that has infiltrated our society today) This is true authenticity I'm talking about - an expression of your own Light essence. (See, I told you I'm woo) Speaking of which, the music continued to be my jam at my time here... likely to be a Pixies radio mix, with awesome 90s punk / indie. Some songs I hadn't heard in decades but love. So, it was like entering into someone's establishment that's part of my soul tribe. So, if any of the above sound like your jam too... give it a try!
