We came here for Breakfast..... and it was delightful! Quick service, and the food was delicious! I had the Waffle combo..... the waffle was delicious! It was one of the best waffles I have had, with some vanilla notes to it. If you're looking for a breakfast place in Healdsburg, this is a great choice without breaking the bank. It's more of a diner style, but didnt feel like it. Our server was also amazing! Never let our drinks get low, but was not a bother either.... If in town again, would for sure come back here!! We always enjoy Pepper's: the food has always been good and plentiful; we always take food home. I like their breakfasts, eggs are done how you order them and they have very good pancakes. One of my favorite dinners is their chicken, usually two pieces thinly sliced and cooked to perfection and then they have shrimp scampi with a dish of butter to dip it in- delicious; usually served with veggies and potatoes and garlic bread. read more

I can't remember the last time I was served by a waitress as friendly as the woman who served us at Pepper's Healdsburg this past Monday when I stopped by for breakfast. On the rainy day that my wife and I visited Pepper's, it looked like there was only one other person seated at the bar dining at the restaurant. When we walked in, we were quickly greeted and offered a booth close to the front of the restaurant. Not long after being seated, our waitress stopped by to take our drink order, and our coffees took no more than a minute to be brought over. Throughout our meal, our waitress checked on us multiple times to make sure our coffee was never empty. I ordered the oatmeal off the sides menu, and my wife got the chicken fried steak. If you're a fan of chicken fried steak, you will absolutely love the one here. The steak is fried as crispy as a chicken tender, the sausage gravy smothered on top is rich and hearty, and the toasted buttered biscuit served on the side is perfect for sopping up any gravy left on your plate. The over easy eggs we ordered could not have been cooked better. Additionally, the included hash browns were cooked perfectly: the entire surface of the hash browns was cooked to a crispy gold brown with not a single burnt, or uneven bit. I can't recommend Pepper's enough if you happen to be in this part of Healdsburg. read more

We got sat in the "hangover room" - I thought the ambiance was cute and fun without being over the top. Our server was excellent - friendly and attentive to the right level. There was a pretty sizable menu, and everything we tried were good - the steak was juicy in the steak and eggs and the quesadilla was yummy. An interesting spot...it serves kind of classic diner food, but has the ambience of a fine diner. We came on a Saturday afternoon. I had the Redwood Club, a chicken sandwich with bacon and cheese on parmesan sourdough. I had it without the tomato and avocado. It was a high quality sandwich, with perfectly cooked meat, bacon that was neither too greasy or too crispy, and a couple layers of melty cheese. I do think it could use a sauce of some kind. I had onion rings instead of fries (a $2.50 substitution); they were very good and came in more than adequate quantity. Music on the speakers could be described as hotel lobby piano music--calming, though not that interesting. Our server did a fine job. It was pricey, though. Even despite the aforementioned qualities, the meal (which also included a lemonade) should not have cost $28. Granted, it's Healdsburg, but despite that fact it was still around $5 more than warranted. All that being said, I'd give the restaurant 4.5 stars if the option was available, and I would come back. read more

I was very disappointed by the attitude I received when I asked if they had gluten free bread. The waitresses attitude became almost hostile. So my next question hesitantly was do you have a gluten free menu. Wowsa wasn't prepared for that response. So I settled for lettuce . Yep. $9 for a small plate of lettuce. They refused me cucumbers and other salad stuff. Ok. I understand they don't have gluten free which is really weird. Most places have at least 1 or 2 things especially these days. But the attitude I am not happy about. She was so angry she brought the person I was with, whom ordered banana waffles with whip crème that was just white water. No whipcreme. He said it was gross. So just a word of warning. Don't ask about gluten free. Not worth the attitude. And Peppers. Do better. You're a restaurant not a judgement ground. read more

For a diner serving diner food, it was pretty good. Pepper's Healdsburg was just down the street from our hotel and just off of Hwy 101. Although it was dinner time when we went and they have a full dinner menu, we each had breakfast with a side order of nachos. I had the corned beef hash with eggs over medium and sour dough toast. My wife had the bacon, cheese, and avocado omelet with white toast and country potatoes. We both really liked our food. Portions were big. Service was fast, helpful, and friendly. The diner was old but very clean and well kept. If driving down 101 again and near Healdsburg, we will probably stop by Pepper's. read more

Family of four visiting the area for a few days found this gem for breakfast. The food was fantastic! Teens loved the New York waffle, the California Benedict was great, and the cinnamon French toast was so good! All of our requests (like crispy bacon) were handled perfectly. Fabulous breakfast!! We were staying at the Best Western Dry Creek Inn across the parking lot, so this was a convenient choice, but I would gladly drive some distance to eat at Peppers again! Very friendly, clearly experienced wait staff and a comfortable, clean dining room. The coffee was very good and the food was excellent. I had the Pepper's Special (which is a "Joe's Special" in many places that serve it) and it was probably the best example of that classic that I've had. Lots of beautifully cooked mushrooms, the right amount of spinach, onion and ground beef. It was perfectly cooked and right off the flattop when it reached the table. The menu has a bit of everything, the service is friendly and attentive, the prices are reasonable, and the portions are MASSIVE. I ordered the blackstone benedict, which was very tasty. As I came in; the manager met me with a welcoming smile and hello. and got me seated immediately. Dany my waitress is phenominal and makes one feel like family. I'll start it off with a 5. Pretty standard diner fare but it's nice to have an all day restaurant in Healdsburgh again. I had bacon and eggs which is not earth shattering if cooked right but can be pretty aggravating when it doesn't come out the way you ordered it. 3 eggs over easy, bacon was good, not crispy but good quality.
