We came here for lunch on our way into OCMD. They have two parking lots and we're able to have a close parking spot when we arrive around 12 o'clock. The place is a little bit smaller than I thought it would be, but it was really a great view of the bay. The waitresses were very friendly. I had the soft sour crab sandwich which was delicious and didn't taste like too much breading I could really taste the crab. My husband had a Reuben fish sandwich and it was delicious. This is by far the most low class restaurant we have ever been to. Discrimination at its finest. We waited an hour to get our food. We received cold, dry fish. We told the waitress we weren't happy with it. She didn't offer to replace it or give us something else. Instead we decided we didn't want anything different and to go elsewhere for dinner. The waitress/friend of the waitress taunted us, started recording us "on Facebook live" , threatened to call the police... wow.... Absolutely ridiculous. Very trashy. Best of luck to this business. Dirty chairs were on the patio and a bent handicapped sign was stuck in a barrel to define the space. Decor included dead flowers and plants in pots and planters along with sad American flags. A 4x4 post holding up the entire deck had been struck and was on a precarious angle. The remedy was the placement of a cone to warn visitors not to hit it again. The stairway up to the restaurant was shabby and handrail sticky. A hole in the screen showed more neglect. Decor tired and old. Bathrooms were disgusting. Here is the good part/ food very good. No daily specials - just the same menu that was on the internet so why do they say 'the chefs write the menu twice a day based on what's fresh, available and delicious.' The crab cake sandwich was dry, had filler, and couldn't have been more than 4 oz on a thick, not fresh brioche bun that was way too large for the dollop of crab cake that was in the center of it. My husband and I thought it was the worst crab cake we've ever had. These chefs need to go to Woody's in Dewey Beach and see what a crab cake should taste like! Too noisy; sat us by the window but with a 10" wall down the center so quite an obstructed view for having made the reservation over a week ago and asked for a table by the window for the view. As we were being seated, the table right near us with a better view as it had full windows was leaving, so I asked the hostess if we could have that table. The drive to the restaurant will make you leery. Dilapidated boats in the front yard of many a trailer home will be passed but eventually you'll get there. The decor is a mix of sports bar, boatman hangout, and restaurant. Kind of chilly so wear a sweater if you're going in the winter. They have a great selection of beer. Menu is small which, to me, means what they do have will be quite good. The tuna entree was typical. Nothing special. The pork chop was delicious and unlike any I've had before. We made reservations weeks in advance so we could celebrate our anniversary with dinner at The Shark on the Harbor. The building itself is set up on stilts and the walls are all glass, so you get a beautiful view from wherever you sit and wherever you look. Inside is decorated with shark-themed decor (of course) and it felt like being in an old school fish house. Our server was amazing! It was packed, extremely busy, and he had several large parties. While service and food was a bit slow to come out, our server kept coming back to check on us and give us updates. He kept it cool under pressure and was so friendly all night. This is a seafood spot and I am obsessed with oysters, so that was naturally our appetizer. It came with a mignonette that was really tasty, and the oysters were soooo fresh and meaty. I could have easily eaten three dozen (on my own haha) The entrees were incredible! We were blown away by the quality, freshness, and flavor of both our entrees. My fiancée had the Duck Duo - we've had some hit or miss luck with duck at many restaurants - and both were cooked perfectly. The roast duck was succulent, perfectly cooked, and so tender. The fried duck was also perfect, the meat was tender, and the sauce was amazing. Both came with a medley of vegetables and butternut squash purée, which complemented both dishes well. I had the crab cake dinner that came with red beans and rice, zucchini and summer squash, corn pone, Greek veggies and feta, and a dill tartar sauce. I'm not lying when I say I wish I could have injected the corn pone directly into my veins. Everything was amazing and while I couldn't finish my whole entree, I sure did later when I got home. Overall, 3.5/5 for the food items I ordered, but bumping it to a 4/5 because my friend's entree was actually good. To note, if you're trying to dine here, make a reservation a week or so in advance (especially if you are trying to eat here on a Saturday dinner). Instead, most entrees had either lots of carbs or lots of cream, which wasn't what I wanted this past Saturday. Thus, I ordered a couple appetizers instead since I was feeling a lighter meal. STEAMED SHRIMP (1/2 LB) - 15 There were 9 super sized/jumbo shrimps sitting in the "white wine, lobster, garlic, and butter broth" along with two pieces of ciabatta. Eat the ciabatta early instead of diving straight to the shrimp. Otherwise, you end up with two extremely soggy and practically inedible pieces of bread. The broth itself was pretty sad in terms of appearance (large globs of oil that made it unappetizing) and the bland flavor did not add much to the shrimp. Also, no lobster in sight? Definitely use the cocktail sauce that came with the order. The shrimp was fresh but wasn't amazing. But this is a decent price to pay for shrimp! I'd recommend it if you're craving shrimp and the cocktail sauce will carry. JUMBO LUMP CRAB CAKE - 22 By itself, it's $22... for a pretty small patty of crab cake (mixed with a good amount of mayo to keep its shape and green onions). Definitely not jumbo, lol. It was tasty, fresh, and flavorful! The crab was fantastic and I would definitely recommend it. It is on the more expensive side, but good crab is hard to come by. They did include a side of pickled cucumbers and tomatoes, which I didn't particularly enjoy. My friend got the SWORDFISH entree and that was definitely worth it. Again, you'll be splurging, but the swordfish had great texture and eating it with the rice, sauce, and veggies that came with it was A+. The few bites I was able to steal from my friend made me regret not ordering something off the entrees list. Next time, I'll brace myself for a heavier meal. I hear the STUFFED AVOCADO appetizer is delicious, so I'll definitely consider ordering that if I return. read more

May have been the biggest disappointment of my trip to OC this week. Maybe even in the last couple of years. More so than G Davis not making it this year. First - we ubered here on a Saturday night and sat at the bar due to the fact there weren't any available seats for walk-ins. I am more than fine with bar seating, and usually with a proper bartender food may come out quicker. However, that hinges on a proper kitchen. I ordered a cream of crab soup as a starter. Then time seemed to slip and slide away- then it free fell away. Finally, the soup came. It was about as thin as the chances of me ever returning here. Watery, thin, and really just the kitchen running out and trying to extend it with half and half and rushing it out without simmering or thickening. Awful. For my entree I decided to switch things up with a burger - the one with bison, elk and wagyu blend, topped with Gouda. Ordered it medium. It came out rare - which the inside was part purple, part pink. The Gouda wasn't melted, and the whole sandwich was room temp. Which is odd bc the 54min wait from order to table must lead me to believe the burger was done before the soup was even concocted out of crab meat and half and half. I did get decent entertainment watching a busboy duct taping an air vent that was leaking over a side table. Hopefully you will have better luck - I won't testing the fates again. read more

We had dinner here and loved the food. Beautiful views of the harbor and perfect ambiance during sunset as they walls are basically all windows. As a bourbon lover I was pleased to see they had Blanton's on the whiskey list, which was a great way to start our meal. A bit pricey at $18, but I was happy to enjoy it nonetheless. We started off with the mussels, which were fantastic. Rich, flavorful broth that was so good I couldn't stop dipping my bread and fries. The fried green tomato appetizer was OK. I probably wouldn't order again, but we noticed that the tomato and burrata salad looked amazing (table next to us), and we wished we had ordered it instead. The salad looked huge and the heirloom tomatoes looks so vibrant and fresh! Overall, we had a great dinner and the service was very friendly. As I said, the views were unbeatable. The mussels were meaty, the smokey andouille sausage made the broth very savory, honestly could have had an order all by myself. The crab cakes were very well seasoned and the aioli paired well, sadly the fried green tomatoes were soggy, tasteless-overall i would have been better just avoiding them all together. Since we had 1 bad appetizer, we end up deciding we will share entrees to get a taste of the menu. Had the soft shell crab cakes and the duo of duck which has a boneless duck breast and a tight and leg. I was very surprised to have a very well seasoned duck with a medley of roasted root vegetables, the duck breast should have been seared on the skin side a mot more. When it came to the table the fat was still too much and could not be eaten, as it was thick and chewy. Definitely not well executes. Main courses were a bit on the pricey side. While the soft shell crabs were a good size, they were accompanied by a sweet potato mash with chipotle- just didnt make culinary sense to pair the crab cakes that way, crunchy and mashed sweet potato??? Not a good combo. Food was ok, but sadly not enought to make me come back and at that price. I am pretty sure i can go somewhere else. We did have great beer from the draft machine. Had the big oyster solar power and the Nepenthe jelly fish IPA, both very distinct but paired well with the food we had tonight. I just wish my beers were cold, given that it was warm outside. After years of eating at the Sunset Grille we decided to try opposite the Grille at The Shark on the Harbor. Smaller than Sunset with less parking, it gets crowed very early in the evening since during off season many locals visit the restaurants in OC for the early bird specials. We had a reservation at 6:30 pm and when we arrived there was 1 table left. Tip for those who look at the menu. Call ahead and ask if your selection is available as the top 2 of ours were not and of course we didn't find out until we were seated. Pleasant server Julia K. Came here during a recent family trip to the shore and decided to give this spot a try after many good reviews / recommendations. The inside of this restaurant has a very homey feel with great water views to boot. It is not on the main strip in Ocean City, so it takes a bit of extra effort to get here. The friendly server took our drink orders and brought a basket of rolls along with a smokey pimento cheese spread for the table to munch on while we decided on meals. After placing our orders, we were treated to a "chef's gift"...a little palate started to get the tastebuds going. That evening, it was a sliced cucumber topped with brie cheese and sliced strawberries which was a very unusual combination and honestly it did not work all that well. On to salads (a nice combination of greens, blueberries, nuts and a balsamic dressing) and their famous fried avocado appetizer. The appy consisted of a half avocado pitted and then breaded and fried filled with a spicy crab salad and micro greens topped with a miso drizzle. It had an odd consistency and taste that no one really cared for all that much. One person at our table ordered the crab cakes and they were okay...large, plump and fairly moist served with veggies and rice. I ordered the steamed shrimp...large, piled high and soaked in their white wine sauce served with a "hot" cocktail sauce. Bread was good for dipping in the broth of this dish!
