Great service. We were served quickly and the food was excellent. We got a quick lunch and tried the soft shell crab sandwich, fish n chips and maryland crab soup. Higgins is always a stop for us when in OC! We love that have several versions of AYCE crabs. Corn on the Cobb was unfortunately not great, but other than that everything else was amazing. Service was a little lacking but they were also busy on a Friday evening. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I'd been wanting to try Higgins for a while, and last night I finally got the chance to dine there. We were seated right away and knew exactly what we came for--crabs and fresh raw oysters. While most people go for the AYCE option, our server mentioned that the crabs offered with AYCE were mostly medium-sized, so we opted to order à la carte instead. We got half a dozen jumbo Maryland crabs, half a dozen raw oysters, and a serving of calamari. The crabs were outstanding--meaty, perfectly steamed, and full of juicy, sweet flavor, which is always a great sign of freshness. The Old Bay seasoning was well-balanced and not overly salty, which I appreciated. The oysters were also excellent--plump, briny, and incredibly fresh. The calamari, on the other hand, was just average. A nice surprise was the complimentary hush puppies, which were a great touch. Price-wise, it's not cheap--a dozen jumbo crabs came to $156-but given the quality, we'll definitely be coming back -!and you can always mix match or order in half.

Higgins is one of my staples for local seafood. Both dine-in and take-out. I love their Maryland crab soup on a chilly day at the beach and their hush puppies are delicious. In this most recent trip, my husband and I sat at the inside bar and both got a lb of snow crab legs with baked potato and salad for $43.99. The food all came at once... next time I will request the salads are brought out first...so we can dig into the seafood while it's still steaming hot. The crab legs and potato were great. Nice touch with the clarified butter. See you next year!!!

I had thee absolute BEST TIME! Today is my 42nd birthday and I came to Ocean City to relax and all I wanted was crabs!! I did a quick google search and found Higgins and I'm so glad I decided to come. There were various sizes of crabs to choose from. You could also buy single crabs and mix & match sizes of which I loved. I got two jumbo crabs and 4 large and they were Delicious! The establishment was clean and well- kept. The service was amazing! I'll definitely be back!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The outside roof time dinning area is nice. It lets you enjoy the fresh air a breeze.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lots of options on the menu and they are ready for larder groups. The food was fairly priced and our server was very nice and sweet. He was young and not native to the area but even though we experienced a slight language barrier he was really on it! The powdered sugar on the hush puppies was a nice surprise as well. The food wasn't as fresh or as flavorful as I would have hoped for but our service was great, our bellies were full, and our drinks were delicious!

The restaurant was mostly empty so this was a mostly locals happy hour crowd for sure. Regular customer next to me pronounced the seasoned bartender the greatest of all time. We ordered a couple of house margaritas ($6.50) which came in a pint glass and were plenty strong. Only needed one of those! First up, crab dip. It came in a massive vessel, bubbling hot and lots of bread. This dish was so large I ate the leftovers three times. Big chunks of crab in a standard rich base. I brought rice crackers, but husband liked this plain bread better than the oily garlic toast that accompanied the mussels. Mussels were a big pile, with toast, in a mild broth. Not spectacular but a solid presentation. And finally, the boiled shrimp with old bay. Burning our fingers in our eagerness to peel and eat these babies, we got our fill for $10. Their cocktail sauce had an excellent texture, better than just ketchup and horseradish like some bars. Anyway, nice job and very economical! Bartender seemed disappointed we didn't need refills on drinks, but tomorrow is another day! Thanks for the hospitality, Coins!

I usually can only tolerate Buxy's for one drink and have to leave because of the sensory overload. The sensory overload is a combination of the loud background noise, bright lights, and intense visual stimuli. (Including pics) LOL My friend and I went B4 the OC parade , and b4 the " after parade party" started with the live band , and it was relatively laid back. We shared the " corned beef Primanti " on sour dough , which was surprisingly good. The menu did say it was thick cut brisket , the more tender corned beef is the "point cut" . The meat was a bit tough and chewy so I cut it up into small pieces and it was much better. I removed the fries so the bread didn't get soggy , and kept the coleslaw and we both agreed this was a really good sandwich. I definitely want to come back again and try more of "Burgh food " items like the pierogis, Pittsburgh salad, and kielbasa but in the OFF peak hours .

The host staff, servers, and management were great and very accommodating. The food was great. They offered there unique twist on dishes. I had the mussels. The andouille sausage added a nice layer of flavor to the dish. The spices in sausage were great throughout the flavor of mussels and broth. There were 4 fishes available for entree. I went with the Cobia. There were 4 cooking/pairing types. I selected cajun style. Blackened Cobia, andouille sausage, over dirty rice, with vegetable medley. Medley included peppers, okra, and celery. Great all around flavor. Food was overall fantastic. I will say service was a bit slow but Mrs. April was great getting things turned around. We walked from our hotel and checked in about 15min before our reservation, and were immediately sat. Don't seem overly busy which is never a good thing in a vacation destination. We were sat along the windows and put in a drink order. I got an old fashioned which was fine. I ordered the cream of crab soup as a starter. Soup was solid, but the flavor was pretty lacking. As my entree I went with the bleu cheese encrusted steak. I ordered it medium-well, which is what you do at a place that doesn't have steak in its name or isn't billed as a steakhouse. That way when the undercook it (as most do) it'll be the preferred medium temp. Anyway, the steak came out and WAS NOT encrusted. The potatoes that were served with it were very good but undercooked and slimy. The vegetables looked just forced and were thrown on the plate to add color not flavor. Our waitress Devin was nice, but she could tell the kitchen wasn't providing a good meal. We skipped dinner and went to Dumser's. Meh - wouldn't go back.

We were set on getting the salmon and the swordfish dishes which we did, and it did not disappoint! They were the most delicious dishes I had experienced in a long time. I asked about the seasoning on the salmon and the waitress, who was fabulous, said it was Moroccan. I loved the hint of cinnamon but according to the Moroccan spice I looked at on the web, it is a combination of numerous spices which amounts to a delicious combination of flavors. Both dishes were paired perfectly with their sides and sauces. I have never left a review about a restaurant before. This will be one of my few unforgettable meals. If dining inside, bring a sweater.
