The oyster stew wasn't that good, unless you like pickled / relish soup. Definitely need a more half and half creamer mixture. It shouldn't taste like pickles. Maybe reduce the sherry a little too. The crab imperial, my mom can make it a lot better, with mayo, egg, some old bay, and broiled. The chicken sandwich was dry, and over cooked. Maybe take notes from folks who can make it better? This visit was very disappointing. We had a hungry table of 10. They sat us right away however it went downhill immediately from there. Our server was ok. The food came out sporadicly. We ordered several soups that came out 15 minutes apart which should have never happened. The rest of the entrees didn't come out until after an hour an half later but only after I requested a manager about the wait. The food was burnt, hard, wilted and undercooked. I did again speak to the manager and she compted out meals. We were appreciative but definitely won't be going back anytime soon. Unacceptable and mismanaged. Look for somewhere else! read more

We tried this place on a weekday in late May prior to the Summer season for dinner. First , the service was very good. Our orders came very quickly and the Staff was very accommodating . The cuisine was fairly average ...not bad and some of the dishes were really good . The restaurant in general needs a decor update. Feels like something out of the late 90s . Kind of rustic. We were there on a very rainy day so we didn't get to experience the ocean views. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to try this restaurant again. Service was Great! Food ehhh not so much. We have been coming down for years and always have dinner here one night. I don't think we will be back. A beautiful view, friendly staff, but the food has really gone down hill. You pay a lot of money for the food too, and for it to be mid at best is not worth it. The seafood was the best overall of what the people in my party had. I had a few people in my party that either can't eat seafood or don't like seafood. Just ashame that this restaurant has gone down hill. Time to find another seafood restaurant down in Ocean City until they change the chef or change owners. read more

We had a pleasant experience overall. There was a group of about thirty of us including adults and kids. There was something for everybody to be happy with. There was a decent selection of beers and other drinks. We shared the oysters and they were fresh and tasty. I ordered the crab cake on a sandwich roll. This was tasty, but not as good as others that I've had on this same trip in the area. My wife ordered the salmon and she said it was the most "plain piece of fish" she's ever ordered at a restaurant. Other than these two comments, it was still a good restaurant. read more

It took almost 2 hours for our food to come out. When it did burger was raw in the middle. Most of the food was overcooked and I've been sitting under heat lamps for an extended time. Totally unacceptable do better. read more

What a nice restaurant at the cap of the boardwalk! It's nice to get out of the sun, sit down, and get into the AC. The cocktails were nice and strong, my friends said the burger was great, nice and juicy. The coconut shrimp was good! Well balanced. The regular fried shrimp was also good. I got the clams and mussels. I absolutely loved the mussels. Nice and garlicky. The clams however were fullllll of grit and sand. I had to clean each one at the table. The view was incredible and definitely the best selling point here. It's a very old school feeling seafood point with good service, good food, and good vibes. Terrible food quality and zero management oversight Our recent visit was a massive disappointment. We ordered two side salads as appetizers, and the ingredients were clearly past their prime. Worse, the cucumber slices were literally rotting--slimy and frothy. It was stomach-turning. When I pointed it out to our waiter and asked him to check it, even he couldn't hold a slice because it was falling apart. We wanted to leave right then, but we had two hungry kids with us, so we stayed. The replacement salads weren't much better; the cucumbers were still old and distinctly yellow. The waiter apologized, making an excuse that they use an international supplier and the produce sometimes arrives old--which is no excuse for serving it to guests. As for the main courses, the fried shrimp was decent, but everything else was poor quality, including the swordfish steaks which were baked in an oven rather than grilled as advertised. To top it off, they didn't even offer to comp the salads, and a manager never came to our table to apologize. A completely horrible experience. read more

We were sat on the second floor, which had great views of the ocean. The atmosphere of the restaurant itself was a little lackluster, but the large windows and dolphins swimming just off the coast meant that we gave the decor little thought. The one thing that we did take note of, was that the presentation of the food could use some improvement. Small plastic cups for sides, while leaving the majority of the plate bare was a little odd. All of the food we ordered was properly prepared, however there was nothing that really stood out. The crab cake in particular was not the best I've had. It's true that there are no fillers, however the cake was dryer than I'd expect and used particularly small pieces of crab. read more

Harrison's was conveniently located on the tip of the Boardwalk. So we stopped by there as I was wanted to have a sit down lunch. We were able to walk in mid-day without reservations. The restaurant wasn't busy. My drink was delicious ( Bacardi boat drink ) ! It was so good I'd visit Harrison just to order it again. We also enjoyed our meal. The ocean city Tram is not operating until further notice, so we walked the 1.6 miles from our hotel room to the end of the pier. Some of our old favorites from years ago are now gone. Boogs Pit Beef and Trumpers rides and ice cream. One old favorite is still here. Harrison's Harbor Watch restaurant. Things got started with drinks and a bowl of cream of crab soup. The sherry was front and center and the crab lumpy. Delicious. Only complaint is that it might've been too creamy. If you can imagine. Joan and I both ordered the blackened rockfish with a variety of sides. I liked the coleslaw and fries. In my opinion I'm cutting a star because the rockfish was too thick and thus overcooked. The seasoning was not New Orleans style like I was expecting. Margarita was frozen kinda. It was really no better than what I can make at home. read more

Always a treat to visit here! Wide, varied menu of fresh seafood selections, steaks & other landlubber fare. I totally enjoyed my lobster ravioli w/pink vodka sauce & 5 oz lobster tail. He loved his lump crabcake--fresh & meaty--w/fries. We both enjoyed sides of fresh green beans--which were not overcooked; however, there were a few semi-yellowed beans mixed in. We had a bit of a wait for meal, but we were dining late, so they may have been a bit short-staffed. Love views of the Inlet from their big picture windows that line restaurant. We came here for the view and it did not disappoint. We got a table by the window and watched the sunset over the water. The food was decent but nothing special. The rockfish tasted fresh and came with unlimited sides. I tried all four sauces and liked the pineapple salsa the best. It was really refreshing. The chicken pasta was also good. read more

My Wife and I returned to our Favorite Restaurant to celebrate our 38th anniversary. Harrison's didn't disappoint as they provided us the best table in the restaurant which overlooked the restaurant and provided us an excellent view of the Harbor. Our Server (Wanda), was extremely busy waiting other tables but she did not skip a beat with us and provided us excellent service and the attention we deserved. Thank you Wanda, you made our evening! The kids meals were not eatable: one ordered mozzarella sticks the other got a blob of red sauce on top of pene pasta served to a three-year (obviously mixing wasn't in his skill set) french fries that were cold and nothing special. The adult meals got 5 stars from 3 adults with one adult disappointed in the fried shrimp were too small. Had the kids meals been decent we'd be back. read more

The restaurant is located at the beginning of the boardwalk, where the old watch tower is. The restaurant has two floors, and you will be able to enjoy the ocean view while eating the fresh seafood. We got to sit in the bar area, where the bartender will take orders from you. The whole environment was relaxing but elegant. I love the vibe in the bar area more than the regular dinning area. Their food was so fresh and good. I love the oysters and the seafood combo. The combo comes with unlimited sides. I like the seasoned rice and the boiled green beans. In OCMD for USSSA softball national's. The coaches had our team dinner there. Party of 46 5pm reservation. 2nd floor to the right. Extremely busy. Food was ok ordered coastal catch . Over cooked, very dry seafood. Small portions, they won't do multiple checks for tables so be prepared if large party have a credit card with availability. Beautiful view, and was amazing. My daughters got the grilled chicken sandwich very dry and didn't come how she ordered it and my other daughter said her chicken tenders were good .. but very small more like a child's menus portion. Prices are not bad. I wouldn't visit on a busy time. read more

The food was good, not great. The 3 of is were seated right on time of our reservation. The waitress was insanely bubbly and nice, probably new. We got our drinks pretty quickly. The waitress told us 3x she was going to get us bread for the table. We ordered two appps, clams casino and mozz logs. Our entrees were the ribeye, sirloin and the shrimp pasta. 25 min later, all the plates (apps and entrees) CAME OUT THE SAME TIME. We told her to take the apps back,..there was no way we'd be able to eat the apps without our entrees getting cold. They took them back and they took it off the bill, as they should. Like I said, food was good, not great. Too much hype of this place. View of the inlet was ok; the sun was coming thru a little too bright so shades were drawn a bit. This place is one and done for us. Would have liked to spend the money elsewhere. read more

We have been coming here for years. Introduced the 3d generation this evening. Everything was fantastic. First off thank you to all the service staff working hard. We were a table of 7 and there were two other big groups next to us and they did not miss a beat. Try a local beer. See pic. Steamed clams are as good as any other I. The area. Maybe the best crab cake we have had. Easily as good if not better than Phillips. Fresh scallops were fantastic. Prices are fair for the area. Location can't be beat. Worst experience ever. I don't understand how you serve a well done & a medium well steak this burnt. It tasted like charcoal. For a place rated almost 5 stars I'm really disappointed. If you'd like to spend $50 on BURNT steak with no flavor then by all means, enjoy! Never coming back here. One of our entrees took extra longer as well because they dropped the food and had to remake not to mentioned we waited 2 hours. Oh and one of the pastas came with a lovely piece of hair! After a long, cold and windy day in early May we found our refuge at the Harrison Harbor Watch Restaurant & Rawbar. Located at the base of the Boardwalk overlooking the Inlet! The Host is efficient and seated me promptly, despite my wife arriving separately. Service (Olga) also friendly, professional and efficient. The warm bread arrived shortly after my choice of Seaglass Sauvignon Blanc. Cosmopolitan was perfectly prepared in a sizable martini glass. Nice start! The Crab Soup is a tradition here and has many huge chucks of blue crab--frankly some of the best I have been pleased by. The menu describes the Cream of Crab Soup as "our famous recipe for over 40 years with blue crab and a touch of sherry." We sampled the Salmon w/ sides of rice and cole slaw and the Rockfish with the side of cucumber salad and green beans. The sides are billed as unlimited but I thought the selection was underwhelming. Steamed broccoli or charred asparagus would have been an awesome side. The rice arrived cold, and the cucumber salad both missed the mark. Rockfish, normally a great entree was rather blah. Service is outstanding and don't skip the Soup. Despite a miss or two here we enjoyed our time at Harrison's and vowed to return! read more

So I try to be fair and not just post my complaints. So I'm going to give me the good, the bad and the ugly. The atmosphere is always nice. We were given a window seat as requested on my reservation even though it wasn't guaranteed. Her waitress was a hustler and trying very hard to accommodate everybody in a timely manner. The bad was a good bit of our food. Four of us ate there. I ordered the scallops which showed up looking barely cooked. None of them had that nice crisp sear that they should have. They got pulled kind of quick and I couldn't even finish eating them cuz they just didn't taste great. They offer you unlimited sides you can choose to. I choose green beans and mashed potatoes, which I'm fairly certain were instant. The garlic mashed potatoes here used to be amazing. They also do not have a side salad on the unlimited sides any longer and it's an additional $6 to have a salad as a side. My husband ordered pasta that had a lobster cream sauce on it and it was definitely sitting for quite some time before he was served. It was a little dry like it was under a heat lamp. He had to stir it around and it definitely needed more sauce. One of my sons wanted to order the crab legs but was afraid they would be overcooked and that was honestly the best thing that came out as my other son proceeded to order them anyway and they were not overcooked at all. Our fourth meal was a $50 plate. Surf and turf ordered medium rare shows up medium well. We didn't send it back as we had already waited quite some time for our food. And the feedback was it was still tender and juicy so he ate it anyway. So the ugly was a $50 plate not cooked correct, $267 later, once we tipped the waitress 20%! For that kind of money I should have nothing but rave reviews for you. We will not be going back. Sad... We've been in there many times over the years and this is the worst meal that's ever come out of the place. read more

Let's start with the good. The waterfront view of the inlet is wonderful and the free parking under the inlet shops saved us money & a long walk in the rain. The restaurant celebrates being over 40 years of age. The decor and furnishings appear very old, right down to the metal plates the food was served on. We ordered crab dip, fried calamari, coconut shrimp appetizers and the beer battered fried fish with garlic mashed potatoes & cole slaw. I do believe they prepared the food from scratch and their own recipes. However, the food just didn't taste good or special. We came starving so we should of liked something. The prices are expensive but comparable to the rest of the area restaurants. We're not picky eaters and don't mind spending lots as long as the food tastes good. Honestly, I feel like Harrison's used to be better. I've visited this place every summer for four years now, mostly for drinks and oysters. This time, we came by on a late Sunday afternoon and were seated right away, near a large window with a view of the boats. Our server Saddam was sweet and attentive, and came over right away. I ordered a Pina Colada, which was tasty, but didn't feel like it had any rum in it. We also ordered 6 of the Salt Shaker Oysters, 6 Chesapeake Oysters, Steamed Clams, and Maryland Crab Soup. All the food came out relatively quickly. While the oysters were alright, I wish they came with mignonette rather than just cocktail sauce. The Steamed Clams were probably my favorite and my friend enjoyed her soup, as well. Overall, Harrison's is still a solid option on the boardwalk, but I feel like it's lost some of its magic for me. During our stay in Ocean city we always visit this restaurant. This year the food was not great. First, the upstair view is wonderful, if you decide to try this place reserve a table during sunset. It's a beautiful view to experience. Our party is as four and we went with no reservation. We were greeted and seated promptly. We did not get a window table but we did get to see the partial view. The waitress,Ashley, was extremely friendly and arrived to ask for drinks. She quickly returned with our drinks and took our order. We ordered crab dip, and crab soup to start. Main course was lobster ravioli and cucumber salad, chicken Florentine with fries, the harbor watch jumbo shrimp pasta, and mozzarella sticks with fries. To start the crab dip and bread was great! Perfectly seasoned and great shareable item. The crab soup had big chucks of crab meat but was a little over salted. Overall, all the pastas were not seasoned to perfection. The shrimp pasta was a little over cooked and the sauce was watery. The ravioli sauce was not seasoned but the lobster filling was good. The cucumber salad is extremely small portion. The chicken pasta we had to add pepper and salt extremely flavorless. The restaurant is clean and customer service is good. I was surprised about the food. This place has been known to be good from previous years. read more
