    Our delicious frozen almond drink!
    Michelle L.

We came with a party of 11 and the service was great. My husband and I shared the fish tacos, which were tasty. A bit strange the fish was laid on top of the taco and its fixings; I think I would've preferred it to be more of the base within the taco since it kept wanting to pop out. We also ordered one of their alcoholic almond frozen drinks which really hit the spot since the weather was so hot outside. It was so smooth and very tasty.

We came here for dinner one night. The place gets busy so here there early. We were a group of 8 and sat at picnic table outside and it was a little tight. Service was good. I had the blue crabs. They were delicious!! Good flavor and lots of meat. They took a while to break open and they didn't rush us. The only thing is we asked for another metal cracker to open our shells and they told us only one per table.

Food and drinks were great!!! It was busy and they all did a great job!! Definitely will come back again.

    Rotten corn

We got the crabs and they were absolutely disgusting - they were soaking wet, slimy and some of the meat was actual mush. The corn cob we got was actually rotten.... I powered through two of the crabs and when I got to the third I just couldn't do it... the server saw me taking pictures and immediately came over and started reprimanding me for taking pictures and "Why did I eat it all if it was bad? Why didn't I say anything to him?" First of all, I didn't eat it all, and he never came over to the table to check on us while I was there so not sure when I would have the opportunity to bring it up... we showed him the rotten corn and he couldn't have cared less... didn't offer to make anything right or solve the problem. Plus, when we got our checks the gratuity was already on there which I didn't think was fair considering I had been essentially berated like a child by the server. To make it even worse, when you went to pay, it tried to add gratuity on top of the total that already included gratuity! Overall an extremely disgusting, disappointing, sketchy experience.

    - Quick seating: we checked in with the hostess for a table for two around 6pm on a Saturday night without a reservations and were seated within 15 minutes. - Outdoor seating it down steps and not easily accessible if you have mobility issues or if you have a stroller. - Staff was quick and attentive and our orders were taken and food arrived within 15 minutes. - Steamed shrimp were small and not deveined. - The corn that comes with the meals was not good. I think they cooked all of the corn earlier in the day and let them sit in the wet husks for hours until they became soggy and inedible. The meal wasn't terrible, however for the price, the quality didn't meet my expectations.

Although I did enjoy this delicacy entree. I would have to technically rate it a 7.5/10. The seasoning was more on the saltier side. Also, the bread could have been more softer when it comes to re-heating. Other than that I still have to respect this beauty and pay homage to the seafood gods.

I can't say enough good stuff about the VEGAN options. Vegan crabcake, vegan fish and chips, and vegan shrimp cocktail were also awesome. Even vegan tartar sauce. (The shrimp is eerily realistic) + the corn is vegan as a side (no butter or anything) Our server was great and knowledgeable about vegan options and even the origin of the vegan menu. We sat outside and it was nice with the breeze from the ocean. So grateful to have these very legit vegan options in an otherwise dead zone.

The customer service was good, and the crab dip was fantastic. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was underwhelming.

Small inside but they make it work. The bathrooms are sooooo tiny but we're clean. We sat inside as it was going to rain and was dark and cold. We went off season beginning of May. Waitress was super sweet and brought over another corn for my daughter as she dropped hers. The seafood we got was yummy. Just the calms we're so Over cooked they were tiny and hard.

Love their steamed shrimp and crabs! I get shrimp every time I go and it's the only place towards the end of the boardwalk that you can get md crab. I like the divey feel and staff is always friendly.

So glad this place offers vegan options!!! I can't give it 5 stars because as a vegan it's kind of an intense experience with people hitting their crabs with hammers and cracking them open. I don't begrudge people eating what they want but it's just that crab eating like lobster eating and crawfish eating is... objectively, I think, kinda... gross. They offer konjac vegan shrimp in a number of options. I had the shrimp cocktail and I gotta say the cocktail sauce was BOMB! It was full of flavor and nice spiciness! They offer Gardein fish fillets which are pretty delicious. I had fishless and chips, my wife had fishless tacos. It was pretty tasty. Daughter had a decent beyond burger but was bummed there weren't any pickles available. All in all good vegan food on the OC boardwalk is great!

One of the great things about the wait is that the restaurant is butt up against a surf shop full of curiosities. We were promptly seated and given a drink menu with many options. We were seated in an open air spot on the water at a pub table. The menu is diverse with many options for different tastes. We ordered the fries to share as an appetizer. It was an insane portion of hand cut potatoes loaded with all of the toppings indicated on the menu. Three of us decided to split two pizzas and an order of wings for dinner, and the other ordered sandwich. The food came out, piping hot, and it was delicious. The prices are reasonable, and the parking is easily accessible. Do not go to OC without checking out this cool spot.

Now, 50 years later, Phillips is gone and many establishments advertise their Crabs as the best in OC. Having not been here since 2012, I need to scour the reviews to find where we could get the best take out seafood especially Maryland Crabs. Lo and behold, just steps away from our Courtyard Marriott is the Crab Stop. It's before season so many places are still closed but the Owner answered when I called, had a great sense of humor, and happily took my order for a designated pick up time. We arrived 10 minutes early and they had just completed the order, packed it up, and we were out the door in minutes. This is a Father/Son establishment. Dave (?) the Father is 85 and his son Tom (?) run this fine eatery. It's built for take out and there is no disappointment. We ordered 6 large crabs, 1# of Lump Crab and 2 ears of corn. Within minutes our table was covered with crab, crab shells, Old Bay, and we savored every minute of the delicious fresh sweet crab meat. Look no further than Crab Stop to enjoy the best crabs that OC has to offer and the friendliness and service of these two gentlemen.

We were set on getting the salmon and the swordfish dishes which we did, and it did not disappoint! They were the most delicious dishes I had experienced in a long time. I asked about the seasoning on the salmon and the waitress, who was fabulous, said it was Moroccan. I loved the hint of cinnamon but according to the Moroccan spice I looked at on the web, it is a combination of numerous spices which amounts to a delicious combination of flavors. Both dishes were paired perfectly with their sides and sauces. I have never left a review about a restaurant before. This will be one of my few unforgettable meals. If dining inside, bring a sweater. They don't skimp on their air-conditioning. Not much has changed with the ambiance - bar atmosphere, with each time there being a live music act when we came in to eat. As a party of 10 the last two years (a yearly trip) we were sat in front of the music. Not my favorite place as it's hard to have a conversation but the music was good. We had a younger waiter take care of us - we put in some drinks - I ordered a blackberry bourbon tea. It wasn't very sweet or flavorful. Almost like it was watered down. Meh. We put in several apps to start our meal: crab pierogis, cheesesteak egg rolls and crab dip. The crab pierogis sounded good - but the sauce on them or around them was watery. Another person in our party got the crab corn chowder- it was watery. Chowders are thicker, not thin. The cheesesteak egg rolls were good - had a nice flavor to them. The crab dip was very very flavorful - maybe one of the best on the island I have had. For my meal I ordered the Baltimore bird which is fried chicken topped with crab dip. It was a HUGE piece of chicken and looked great -- then I took a bite. The chick was raw inside. Hoping it was just a part of the breast I bit into another part - middle chicken was pink and raw. What makes matters even worse was the Heinz ketchup bottle on the table - billed as a Pittsburgh bar - did not have Heinz in it. Ketchup was way too sweet - definitely off brand. We shared desserts as a table - the brownie Ala mode and the tower brownie cheesecake. Both were.. well small. Good taste but, limited. Again - just ok overall.

We ordered the seafood combo that included six hard-shell crabs, three pounds of snow crab legs, a half-pound of shrimp, corn, and hush puppies. The hard-shell crabs were decent, although they seemed slightly oversteamed. The meat in the legs was practically fused to the shell, making them difficult to eat. The snow crab legs were good, but the shrimp were noticeably undercooked, which made peeling them nearly impossible. There were a few bright spots. The beer was reasonably priced at $4.50 a pint, and the hush puppies were excellent--arguably the best part of the entire meal. The corn, however, was tough and seemed past its prime. For the roughly $145 we spent on the combo, I expected a better overall dining experience. Sadly, this seems to be the standard at many seafood restaurants these days: higher prices without a corresponding increase in quality. And while it's a minor issue compared to the food, the deck seating chairs were surprisingly uncomfortable and felt out of place for a restaurant charging these prices. Overall, the meal wasn't terrible, but it fell well short of expectations given the cost.
