First visit for Sunday brunch was awesome!! We each had crepes( even gluten free available for crepes and pancakes). Ours were each yummy: ABC( avocado, bacon, cheddar and egg) for me a "swamp loggers " egg, bacon, cheddar and potatoes for starters. Friendly and fast service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Intimate setting![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We'll have to come back for dinner and try their Nutella crepe and baked Alaska!!

For the last 30 years we've wanted to find a top notch brunch on island. One that was designed and prepared by a true chef and not a short order cook. Today we found the Sea Grass Grille. We arrived late morning on a Saturday and were greeted immediately for our drink order. This is a real restaurant not a breakfast joint and has VERY reasonable prices. I ordered the "Fork & Knife" which was an omelet filled with cheese and bacon surrounded by two large pieces of french toast. It had blueberries, strawberries and an orange slice on the side with a good amount of maple syrup. It was fantastic. My wife had the Blueberry Baked Oatmeal with yogurt and berries. It looked like a large pieces of cake. She loved every bite. We will be back to try lunch and dinner very soon.

Dinner is a must at Sea Grass Grille. If Yelp had a six star option this would be it. We had a reservation and we were seated in a lovely corner table. The ambiance is quaint and intimate and overall lovely. All five of us raved about our meals and inquired if they served lunch as we all wanted to return. This was one of the best dinners I have experienced. I ordered scallops and they were nestled in a beautiful cream sauce. Dinner came with baby carrots, green beans and broccoli and a slice of scalloped potatoes. The veggies were cooked perfectly. They were crisp and cut up in nice size pieces. Dinner was also served with a wonderful salad and dinner rolls. One of my friends ordered the she crab soup and shared a few spoons with me. The lump crab was plentiful and the creaminess of the soup was perfectly smooth. The hint of sherry was evident. They also ordered a slice of tomato pie which was flavorful. The tomatoes were fresh and the cheese was delicious. Our server Harriett was friendly and attentive. She took her time explaining the menu to us and she told us about the new owners and we met the owner who was very nice. Overall, I highly recommend this location for dinner.

There is a new place for weekend brunch on Hilton Head and it is special! The Sea Grass Grill on William Hilton Parkway has reopened (last fall) with new ownership. And this is a family affair that works beautifully. The menu is new and puts the usual suspects (bacon, eggs, potatoes) in great combinations. There is something for everyone, including Mimosa's. I had the Breakfast Hash and it was wonderful. We lingered over breakfast and wound up trying two desserts; the carrot cake and the key lime pie were exceptional. We sat outside on the lovely patio but the inside is very well appointed. The sort of place you would want to go to for dinner. And their dinner menu looks fantastic with seafood options that look awesome. We have not been there for dinner but are planning to try it before leaving the island. The owners, Heather and Kirk, and very personable so if they're not too busy with other customers, they will engage you in a conversation. They're girls, Allie and Gianna are the servers and the place runs pretty darn smoothly. Our rating is based on their weekend brunch but we a anticipate a similar rating for their dinner menu.

It doesn't feel corporate or manufactured at all. More like you've stumbled into somebody's lovingly chaotic backyard dinner party where the food just happens to be genuinely top-tier. The mismatched charm, handwritten feel, and warm atmosphere are part of what makes it so special. There's this brilliant contrast between the laid-back hole-in-the-wall vibe and the seriously refined cooking coming out of the kitchen. We started with the fried green tomatoes which were incredibly tender, fried perfectly, and drizzled with a lovely house-made ranch. The sweet house pickles alongside were such a good touch. We also each had a cup of she crab soup which was beautifully seasoned and packed with tonnes of crab morsels. For mains, we shared the shrimp and grits and completely understood why the recipe has won awards, including being recognised as the 3rd best in the world. The recipe is rooted in traditional Lowcountry cooking but elevated with layers of flavour that somehow still feel comforting and homemade. The grits were unbelievably creamy, and the shrimp and sausage were perfectly cooked with fantastic flavour throughout. We also split the seafood purloo with blackened grouper, and it was equally impressive. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted incredibly fresh without trying too hard to be fancy. What really made the experience though was the staff. Everyone went above and beyond. They took time to chat with us about the area, paced the courses perfectly so nothing felt rushed, and by the end we were leaving with handshakes feeling more like guests than customers. Places like this are getting harder to find. We'll absolutely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Lowcountry food served by genuinely wonderful people.

It was clear as we sat down that this is where the locals eat We sat out on the patio and appreciated the 6 foot hedge to provide us some privacy and we started with their nachos. My wife got the Saloon burger, my son got the buffalo chicken sandwich & fries, with the same dusting that was on the nachos, and I got the southwestern salad. None of us could finish our meals given the portions that are served. Tasha who took care of us, while training another, did a fantastic job and was so attentive and sweet. We were lucky to get seated outside because the live music and views were immaculate. The oysters were super fresh.. so fresh in fact we found a little crab in one of them. We got it replaced promptly by our friendly waiter for a new one! I got the scallop risotto. It was good but not my favorite. The sauce was creamy but somewhat bland, which allowed for the perfectly cooked scallops to shine. My mom got the seafood pasta which was fantastic and flavorful. The high-tops outside are great because they're completely covered, while the tables with umbrellas still get sun depending on where the sun is. They have several powerful fans outdoors plus the seating is comfortable with a great view of the trees, boat, and water. The crab punch cocktail was good, but the crab coconut rum tasted a little odd to me (their exclusive brand). I preferred the salty Chihuahua cocktail. All drinks are thankfully strong (everywhere else on the island they were weak). The Jalapeño hush puppies seem like they are made in-house, and they're very flavorful & crunchy. The hush puppies came with honey butter which was also amazing. The lunch grilled grouper fish taco was delicious & fresh. The salsa on it was very flavorful! The house-made potato chips are also great. Service was great (not rushed). They do need drink coasters (water was all over the table). We came back for dinner. They had live music. Abby& Taylor were the two different servers we had and they were both amazing. They did not rush us. The fried green tomatoes were very good with lots of pimento cheese and crunchy unlike the ones we had at Old Oyster Factory. The pineapple Mojito was good. Overall great experience!

Starting with the burger, I like when a smash burger is ACTUALLY a smash burger. They include cheese and pickles on it and it was just the perfect burger. I think it's pretty high on my burger rankings. Might even beat Heavy's! I feel like it's rare to get waffle fries unless you're going to Chick Fil A, so it was nice to have them with our burger. The Good: The Smashburgers are excellent -- cheese, pickles,…read moreand onions all on point. If you haven't been here, stop settling for chain burger joints. This is genuinely one of the best burgers around. The waffle fries deserve a special mention: fresh, nicely done, and you get a generous portion. Think Chick-fil-A fries, but the way they should be. The Truffle Fries are solid too -- just a bit rich for my taste, but that's purely personal preference. I also tried the Sweet & Spicy Chicken -- good and flavorful, though slightly heavy on the batter for me. Still worth a try. A Couple of Suggestions: A lower-carb side option would be a welcome addition -- I asked and it was a hard no. Hopefully Tin and Tallow considers adding some healthier alternatives down the road. Breakfast -- Proceed with Caution: The croissant with egg and cheese was, unfortunately, a miss for me. The egg and cheese were fine, but buttering an already butter-heavy croissant and griddling it turned it into a flat, gooey mess. I hear there's a biscuit option, which might be better -- but personally, I'd love to see an English muffin or bagel on the menu. Something with a little more structure would go a long way. Bottom Line: Come for the burgers and fries -- you won't be disappointed. Just maybe skip the croissant breakfast for now.
