My wife and I (+2 kids) stopped here for an early Saturday dinner. Not a lot of people and just the bartender working the floor. No issues with the service. Great ambiance. Very nice facilities. We had the fried zucchini sticks, the Lobster sandwich and chicken fingers (for kids). The Lobster was amazing!! The price point for the lobster was high ($35) but it was amazing. Splurge for these - I'd pay more, tbh. Why get anything else on the menu? The zucchini sticks were great. Wife is obsessed with these and I also liked them very much. They are reminiscent of cheese sticks but healthier and lighter. Perfectly cooked and sprinkled with parmesan. We got full just eating these as the appetizer. Took off one star for the kids menu and kid food quality. The chicken fingers were awful- kids wouldn't touch them.. however the french fries were better than McDonald's so kids survived. Clean restaurant but disappointed with the food. When our order (1 classic and 1 Connecticut lobster roll) arrived it smelled 'fishy'. The meat in the Connecticut roll was tough and chewy. The Maine or classic roll was much better but overall we were disappointed in the quality of the food. Beautiful space with gorgeous bathrooms--I'll give them that. But beyond the aesthetics, our experience was pretty disappointing (and borderline unsafe). First, be warned: there's no elevator and only stair access. This isn't disclosed anywhere on their website, which makes it a big issue if you have a stroller or someone in your party with mobility challenges. We arrived to an empty restaurant, which immediately raised a red flag. We were told they "don't advertise"--odd explanation, but okay. Then came the drink situation. Their menu advertises frozen drinks, but apparently, they don't even have a blender. So... false advertising? As for the food--meh at best. The meatballs came out lukewarm, like they were frozen and not fully reheated. Not exactly the food we expected. But here's the kicker: a metal railing from the open window space connected to our booth FELL OFF the wall and crashed down onto the sidewalk and parking lot below. Thankfully no one (including our kids) was hurt, but it was a genuinely scary moment. And not a single member of the restaurant offered any form of apology or compensation--not even a drink on the house. Beautiful space, but between the food, the false advertising, the accessibility issue, and the safety hazard, we won't be back. Proceed with caution. read more

My husband and I are visiting this area for a few days. We drive by and the building and name caught our attention. We were very impressed with the ambiance of both restaurants but the Oyster Bar (upstairs) was gorgeous. It gave us Green Island vibes from a vacation there last year. There wasn't many patrons so it was quiet and relaxing. We had the cheese bread and wings for an app. They were amazing. We both had the Fish and Chips and that was amazing. I was so excited about bringing my husband to this restaurant after seeing it 2 years ago when visiting the pizza restaurant downstairs. Got there around 7:00pm on Friday. (Already checked out the website and menu. No where on it did it say anything about making a reservation) Bar was empty, 4 tables seated but there were about 5 other tables available. The only staff up there told us that we needed a reservation and it would be an hour wait due to the crowd coming in with reservations. The ambiance is what is usually described as clean and modern. Every surface is smooth, hard, and solid -- Meaning sounds echo horribly. The sound of the TV over the bar and the half dozen people talking was magnified to the point of being uncomfortably loud. I couldn't imagine how loud it would be if it was full or had a band. As for the food. It was okay. But $37.94 (with the tax) seems overly high for a tiny lobster roll on what appeared to be a non-toasted hot dog roll. Service was good. No issues there. We came here for drinks and appetizers. The menu is very limited right now as they are in the opening stages. They did not have any appetizers so we ordered mocktails as our group does not drink but we enjoy trying new places. The server said we can order any drink non alcoholic so I got the sea breeze. It's juice and lemon lime soda which I found refreshing. The staff was friendly and the views are great. This place needs a little more work on the menu and it will be excellent. Tough call here between 3 and 4. Was more expensive than we thought and the service was incredibly slow because only one person working the place during restaurant week. I understand market price but thought it would be between 25 and 30. Not $35. We should have asked. Our server who was the bartender really did a fine job in the situation and only because of him was it not a 1 or 2. I hope the place gets some help and succeeds because we liked the ambiance. I almost never write a bad review, assuming any restaurant can have a bad day. But there were too many things wrong here to not share. The two stars are for the decor and the bartender. The location is great, right across from Celebration Park in Coligny, and the restaurant itself was fresh and bright. It had indoor and patio seating. We sat at the bar where we found the bartender nice and helpful. When we sat at the bar, we struggled to hear the bartender. They had a musician playing -- talented guy, enjoyed him -- but too loud. The room is open but small so they probably didn't need to amplify the sound. We asked if there were any gluten free options for my boyfriend . The only options were salads. We both ordered the Connecticut Lobster Roll, my boyfriend minus the bun. Since they specialize in lobster, you'd expect it to be wonderful but it was the worst lobster I've had in my life. They either greatly overcooked it or reheated it into a rubbery hard mess. We told the bartender it was dried out. My boyfriend asked for a side of butter hoping to soften it up. The manager seemed angry at him for asking and brought him the butter without saying a word. We ate our fries and left most of the lobster. Who leaves lobster uneaten? It was that bad. They gave us a 25% discount, which we appreciated. But it is quite unpleasant to not enjoy a $32.99 lobster roll and feel the anger of the manager because we had the nerve to say something about it. Popped in here last night for some seafood treats as I'm here on HHI for a solo vaca. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor of an open air room. Nice casual ambiance. There were a few peeps at tables when I arrived. I decided to sit at the bar & listen/view the talking heads on ESPN. I ordered the calamari. It was fabulous as it came with hot banana peppers & a sweet chili sauce for dipping. It was cooked perfectly, as I devoured every last morsel. Some of the best fried calamari I've had in a while. For entree, I ordered the Lobster Cobb salad and it too, was fabulous. A Standard Cobb with big lobster chunks distributed throughout. The Chunky blue cheese dressing was such a nice compliment to bring it all together. The waiter was friendly, attentive & very accommodating. Overall, a great HHI foodie experience. The food was just ok, standard, out of the freezer box restaurant supply but we were charged top dollar. We got fish and chips and the lobster roll. I saw other customers with salads and those looked really good. We came on a Friday night and they had a guy playing live music so loudly that you could not talk to the people at your table and the poor waitress has to get right up in your face to hear your order. I had to get up to get utensils and napkins for our table after our food was delivered and we were never offered refills for our iced tea and water. I do not like giving bad reviews especially knowing this place appears to have just opened but maybe this review will help them make some changes. The excessively loud live music has to go! The tiny dinner room does have the correct acoustics for it at ALL!!!! Reduce your prices for what you are servicing and service the customers you have. read more

I am mixed with how to review this place. The ambiance, decor, and setting were on point. Faith, our bartender and server, was precious and extremely accommodating, and the drinks were worth the price. With that said, there was Faith and one additional server on a Sunday night, Labor Day weekend. Would recommend a dedicated bartender and two servers at a minimum. The food was subpar for the cost. We were very willing to pay the prices based on the live entertainment, the servers, the serting, and the atmosphere; however, the food was worth probably half the cost of what we paid. The shrimp in the shrimp basket was like what we could get in the frozen section of a grocery store. The Fresh Maine Lobster Roll was small, and the "bun" was like a slice of Texas Toast folded in half with little flavor. The sandwich with fries was worth $16-$18 but certainly not $33. We LOVE this place overall and the piano guy and Faith, but unfortunately, we won't be back based on the quality of the food. read more

The establishment itself is very clean and bright, as you walk in it's very reminiscent of New England which I believe is the intention. The wait staff were very friendly and welcoming. The pictures of the food are very enticing, and the menu is clear and concise. As a table we ordered a few appetizers and some drinks. I will list them and rate them briefly as ordered. Buffalo Chicken Sliders - 5/10: the bun was average and not toasted, the chicken was minimal and average as well. The buffalo sauce itself was fantastic and carried this dish. Loaded Fries - 9/10: shoestring fries, melted cheddar and bacon bits. These were honestly great. Every aspect was solid and the ranch on the side was great. House-made Mozzarella Sticks - 7/10: these were very large. The stick itself was good but there wasn't a cheese-pull and the temperature was a little off. The marinara on the side was tasty but very thin. We then ordered our main meals, two of us ordered the Connecticut Lobster Roll and the other ordered the Buffalo Wings. Ratings below Connecticut Lobster Roll - 5/10: for as much as lobster costs these days, this one priced at $37.50 was below average in quality. Lobster is lobster. The roll itself was jam-packed with lobster and the lobster was cooked well. As a Connecticut lobster roll, there has to be three things; 1) tons of warm, tender lobster 2) drenches of warm salted butter 3) a fluffy, buttery, toasted split roll. This roll has the lobster down but was lacking on the other two. There was butter, but not nearly enough. This could be taken in consideration as a preferential opinion, but generally there was not enough butter. The roll was not toasted completely and honestly a little soggy, worsening the experience for me. 5 points for this because they put out huge portions of lobster that is unfortunately missing an adequate vessel. Buffalo Wings - 8/10: The buffalo wings were surprisingly great. As I mentioned before their buffalo sauce is awesome; it's buttery and spicy and has a great vinegar base. The wings themself could've been crispier, but they weren't soggy. Overall - 3/5: I know this establishment hasn't been open long and as a lover of lobster rolls I HAD to try this place. If the establishment sees this: please put some more love into the buns you use for the lobster rolls. If the customer is paying top dollar for a product, they deserve to have a near perfect experience. read more

Being from Connecticut, I tried the hot Connecticut Lobster Roll which was loaded with 8 oz of lobster and served with extra butter and chips. The roll was nicely toasted and in spite of being stuffed with buttery lobster, it held the very tasty lobster well enough to pick it up. Could they not provide a better roll? Anything else other than a basic hot dog bun. I have had Lobster Rolls before and had some fairly amazing buns. The Ceasar salad, while tasty, was so-so. The lettuce was soft, as though the salad was made earlier and left to sit in the Ceasar dressing. I expect crisp lettuce with Ceasar dressing on the side. [No, I didn't ask --- my fault]. The salad was thoroughly coated in dressing. If you don't like it that prepared that I way I would ask for the dressing on the side. I'd be curious to see what arrives. We also had the Fried Shrimp and Fries basket. The shrimp was good but nothing to write home about and the fries-thin like those you find at McDonalds. The quantities are small so if you are hungry, as my son was, I suggest you get an appetizer. My son ordered the wings. Again, they were okay but nothing great. We have had better wings. I'll leave it at that. Hopefully others who eat here will weigh in on our wing comments. This place is not cheap by any means but then again everything is more expensive these days. The bill for 4 of us (4 beers and two alcoholic ciders, 3 lobster rolls, Shrimp and Fries basket, Ceasar Salad, and an appetizer of Wings) topped $220.00 with tip. Not cheap by any means. When you order lobster, you expect to pay but the quality of food didn't justify the price. This place has only been open for a few months. Maybe its growing pains. Maybe we expected more. For now, we will choose other places on the island. My husband and I kept driving by this place and he really wanted to try it. It looked brand new. Couldn't find anything about it on yelp, but found 7 google reviews. The place looked empty when we arrived, and we asked the lone waitperson if this place had a menu. It did. We went ahead and sat down so my husband could have his lobster roll, and I just had a grilled chicken sandwich. The kitchen must be the one from the restaurant downstairs. Service was good and pretty fast, but the food was just ok. The chicken was extremely peppery and the sauce spicy, although very large. My husband felt the lobster tasted watery without much flavor and maybe a little raw. It took 15 min to get our drinks, one of them was wrong, the server had no idea what beers were on tap or what types of specific liquor they had. Despite the restaurant not being busy, the food took forever to come and our waitress was no where to be found to ask when it was coming. The chicken sandwich was also a hit with my bf and was a huge portion of food. He said the sandwich had really good ingredients and was flavorful.
