We decided to try the she-crab soup, but unfortunately it was extremely watery and not something I would recommend. What started as a quick stop turned into spending most of our day there. We took a walk around the area, browsed the gift shop at the end of the shopping center, and then returned in time for happy hour. We enjoyed more drinks, ordered food, and ended up meeting some fun people to chat with throughout the afternoon. The atmosphere, waterfront setting, live entertainment, and friendly crowd made for a really enjoyable experience. While the she-crab soup was disappointing, everything else made up for it. The family was looking to head out to dinner the next day so I called and was able to get a reservation for 6 people at 7pm! We showed up and were promptly seated. Soon after we were given water and had a few minutes to go over the menus. My brothers and I were feeling expresso martinis and the waitress said they can absolutely make them. For appetizers, we tried the bang bang shrimp and the bacon wrapped scallops. For mains, I went with prefix menu and enjoyed she crab soup, calamari, NY strip, and mahi mahi. The appetizers were done very well but the bang bang shrimp was better. Also the scallops are $18 for just 2 scallops. The prefix menu is the way to go especially if you want to try a few different things. The chef even came out to talk to us and after learning one of prefix items was out, he went above and beyond to replace the item with something better. Plus the expresso martinis were on point (no Bailey's). I would definitely return to Sea Grass Grille!

We would have enjoyed the sandwich more if the same level of flavor that we experienced in the soup and fries was replicated with the chicken breast. Our server Chris was very friendly. The only disappointment was the seating/view situation. When making the reservation, I specifically requested outdoor seating to enjoy dinner while watching the sunset. I even called ahead to confirm, and upon arrival I double checked with the hostess who assured us our table would be perfect for sunset views. Unfortunately, once seated, I realized that wasn't actually the case. I did ask if we could be moved inside, but we unfortunately could not be accommodated. After being there, it also became clear that none of the outdoor tables really have a direct sunset view due to the positioning of the restaurant. You'll have a beautiful waterfront and pier view, just not an actual sunset view. It definitely put a little damper on the mood since we planned the dinner around that experience, but the food itself was really good and overall we still enjoyed our meal. Just wanted to share this so others booking specifically for sunset expectations are clear.
