**Update** The drywall and texture is complete. We are very satisfied with the work! Rafael and his brother were clean and didn't break anything. They did outsource the work and honestly that always makes us nervous. Because you talk with one company about the work you want and set expectations. Then, a different company comes out and you have to go over it all again. This hasn't worked out well for us in the past. However, the DryMaster team did a great job with us!!

    Dehu, their mascot
    Ana K.

DryMaster works with broken water lines, toilet and drain overflows, water and sewage extraction, slab leaks, faulty appliances, kitchen fires, and microbial (mold and bacteria) contamination and a lot of other things, but their values were something that draw me to this company, the fact that they follow the IICRC Standards on their services and have certified technicians that went trough a background check is something that shows that they really care about doing the right thing. On top of that, they warmed my heart with their mascot that they give to little children (and myself) to help cope with the stress of going over a remodel.

Garage, no longer smelly and unwelcoming -- now clean and fresh!

I would never use this company again. They are all very rude on the phone and communication is poor. I was not satisfied with their work.

Having to complete a re-pipe and full renovation in about a month was overwhelming, but they helped turn a very difficult situation into something manageable. From the very beginning, Cory the owner, came out to assess the damage. Cory was knowledgeable, thorough, and immediately made me feel confident that I was in good hands. Cory assured me that he and his team would guide me step-by-step through the entire process, and they absolutely did. He connected me with his business partner, Casey, who exceeded every expectation I had. Casey was instrumental in communicating and negotiating with my insurance company to ensure everything needed to properly restore my home was covered and handled correctly. He was honest, extremely thorough, highly knowledgeable, and always responsive. I always felt he was truly on my side, and there was never any sense of cutting corners. Coming from outside this industry, I didn't know what to expect, and I was genuinely surprised by the level of expertise I found. After working with Casey, I completely understand the value of having an insurance advocate. He made a complicated process clear, manageable, and consistently fought for what was right. Both Cory and Casey were my advocates from start to finish. Their honesty, transparency, and communication made a devastating situation far easier. I am extremely grateful to Emergency Home Solutions. Choosing them was one of the best decisions I could have made. I highly recommend them. I don't usually write reviews, but I felt absolutely compelled to share this experience.

This review is long overdue for a company that truly deserves the highest recognition. Get ready…read morefor a bit of a novel, but my experience with Emergency Home Solutions warrants every single word. I found out about Emergency Home Solutions in a complete happenstance kind of way back in January 2026. My extremely old water kicked the bucket. I initially hired Olson Superior Plumbing because I had used them once before, and purchasing a new water heater through them was the easiest, smoothest process I have ever experienced. All was good in my new water heater world until exactly two weeks later. My upstairs neighbor's water heater leaked heavily down into my closet, right onto my brand-new unit. Luckily, my dog-like ears caught a distant dripping sound at 9:00 PM on a weekend. I was in at total frenzy seeing a sopping wet closet, fearing my new unit was faulty. This was the first time I had to use Olson's 24/7 emergency line, and the woman on duty, Cai, called me right back. She immediately put me on the schedule for the next day. Thankfully, my new water heater was perfect, but the closet, walls and ceiling inside were not because of the severe water damage. There was an urgency for remediation and restoration. Fortunately, Olson Superior Plumbing works side-by-side with a restoration company called Emergency Home Solutions. Olson was extremely helpful in getting me in direct contact with them to fix this urgent situation. Hiring an emergency company on a blind referral is nerve-wracking, but Emergency Home Solutions made it incredibly easy. It turned into a complicated two-month debacle involving insurance claims, water mitigation, and extensive restoration. Cory Bowen, the founder, was one of the most genuine, helpful people I have ever met. He personally came on-site to inspect the damages, mapping out the scope of work clearly and concisely. He lowered my stress significantly by holding my hand through the entire process. If I were to be critical, communication regarding active coordination and scheduling could be slightly improved. Additionally, the billing side needs tightening; they took my final payment quickly but failed to provide a proper invoice or a paid-in-full receipt, which is unacceptable for a business. However, I gladly overlook these blemishes because the overall service was phenomenal. I absolutely recommend Emergency Home Solutions; the peace of mind is entirely worth it. I am forever grateful for these people who offered an endless amount of generosity and patience throughout this whole process. My apologies if I have forgotten anyone as my notes are an endless pile at the moment. CORY BOWEN - (Owner) Offered so much knowledge and efficiency while being empathetic to the situation. MELISSA - An exceptional first point of contact person who has an abundant amount of knowledge. FABIAN - Project Manager for the Demolition side of Emergency Home Solutions. I call him the Blue Tape/Dehumidifier guy. This man gets huge compliments for always answering his phone no matter what time, staying on top of things with a lot of moving parts. JENI HERRERA - Water Mitigation Estimator contact. This woman has expertise like no other with the sweetest bedside manner. JOSUE & UZZI - Demolition Team - A demolition team these two were. They were professional and efficient, but were also FUNNY as all get out that kept spirits high. They are passionate about their work which I rarely see and it won't be forgotten. I had never heard the name Uzzi before and was embarrassed I could not hear him correctly. He clarified with using a rhyme - Uzzi in the Jacuzzi. This was the best humor ever! JOSE - Emergency Home Solutions Estimator Restoration Side - Reserved, but super nice, professional guy who arrived early and took necessary photos layouts of restoration scope. Unfortunately, I was upset due to miscommunication regarding appointment scheduling. Jose took my attitude in stride and got the job done. CASEY VAIL - Project Manager for the Restoration side of Emergency Home Solutions. He had an endless pit of energies which was initially shocking. In all honesty, Casey was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was "all in" all the time and was always available. You had questions, he had answers. You needed anything, he was on it. Phenomenal with details and multitasking. He was my "best friend" everyday contact for approximately two months. Highest compliments to Casey because there are no words to express how much he helped me. JORDAN & ARTURO - Subcontractors for Emergency Home Solutions - Restoration "put the house back together" team. This was a two-man crew, craftsmanship and perfection at its finest. Always came on time, worked hard, and were meticulous in all of the work being done. Unfortunately, communication was not the best in this section, but the restoration was done exceeding my expectations and ensuring my complete level of satisfaction.

JUNE 4TH, 2026 NOTE: Detailed update about Restoration1's untrustworthy communication…read more Their public response below just proves my point. So, this is what to look out for, and the receipts to prove it: 1. TWIST FACTS/CHANGE NARRATIVE: - 6/1 "At no point did our team request that you provide materials..." - 5/21 "Please feel free to forward over the hygienist report and any other information necessary to help generate the remediation estimate." (They did indeed ask for materials but are now saying they didn't.) ___ 2. DEFLECT/IGNORE THE ISSUE RAISED -Dana "I've sent 3 emails to your 1 email..." -Janny "...if you are unwilling to provide results..." -Dana "I'm not unwilling. You just never asked. Why did it take this long to tell me that?" (My issue is their lack of communication, but she deflects to a story about me refusing asbestos testing, when in fact that conversation never happened.) ___ 3. DELAYED COMMUNICATION/NON-RESPONSIVE -- 5/21 Janny: "Please feel free to forward over the hygienist report...". --5/21 Dana:" They're attached, along with link to a few pics." (NO response) --5/27 Dana: "Please get it back to me...at your earliest opportunity." (NO response) --6/1 Dana: "Janny, are you getting my messages?" (NO response) --6/1 Dana (via Yelp): "...the lack of communication is very frustrating. It worries me that this is an indicator to what it's likely working with Restoration1." --6/4 Janny Yelp response "When you contacted our office approximately 1 week later" (2 weeks--not 1--and 5 emails/messages later, I finally get a response) ___ 4. CONTRADICT THEMSELVES --Janny: "You expressed to us on May 22nd that you did not want to proceed with testing" --Then her review says "Following the intial appointment [May 22nd] our office...left you a VM. Unfortunately we were unable to connect" (Here she says we talked, but her review contradicts her own statement) ___ 5. MISINFORMED, ARGUMENTATIVE, AND ACCUSATORY LANGUAGE --Misinformed/Accusatory: "You expressed to us that you didn't want to proceed with testing your property" --Accusatory/Argumentative: "If you are unwilling to provide results...we cannot proceed to assist any further" (Janny's tone is starkly different from most vendors'. They'd likely pose as a question--"Are you willing to" "I believe you expressed", --not an accusation.) Because of this, I'm changing my 2-star review to 1 star. But to be fair, this is just my experience. They do have great reviews, so you may have a better experience (if you decide to use them). Below is the original rating before this update: ____________________________________________________________ 6/3/2026 This is the email that I sent to Restoration1: "Hi Janny, I've sent 3 emails to your 1 email. And your 1 email was asking for materials I already provided. I was so impressed with your estimator's expertise and willingness to answer all of my questions that I likely wanted to use Restoration1, but the lack of communication is very frustrating. It worries me that this is an indicator to what it's likely working with Restoration1. The estimator came out May 21st. It's June 1st. Can you tell me what's going on with my estimate?" Their utter lack of follow-through was incredibly frustrating because I was super impressed with the estimator's professionalism, friendliness, and expertise. 1. The estimator came out May 27. 2. After a week I reached out. 2. Janny responded by asking for docs I already sent 3. I gave it to her again. 4. Then crickets... 6. I emailed a 3rd time for updates. No response. 7. I emailed again + messaged on Yelp 8. They finally responded saying I had refused asbestos testing, which they require. 9. I said I never refused because nobody informed me until 3 weeks in. So they asked for docs already provided (why ask for docs if asbestos was an issue?), did nothing for 3 weeks, said I refused asbestos testing, which wasn't true, and that I would've agreed to do the testing had I been informed, Janny's response was judgmental and rude. And the overall communication--or lack thereof--I received from Janny was misinformed, argumentative, accusatory, and rude. Had they told me about the asbestos testing requirement I would have complied. But, if my experience thus far was any indication of how it would be working with them, I decided to pass. I think I saved myself a lot of headache. Buyer beware.

My experience with Restoration 1 of Irvine during a water damage claim was extremely stressful, and…read moreI think other homeowners should understand what can happen in situations like this. Key facts from my project * Initial estimate tied to my work authorization: $16,653.79 * Invoices later submitted by the contractor ran this up to $50k+ * Those invoices were only for mitigation and demolition work * The entire reconstruction of the damaged areas of my home ultimately cost around $60k * A mechanic's lien was filed against my home during the dispute * I received zero phone calls with any management at the company throughout my engagement. All communication was initiated by me. After a plumbing leak at my home, Restoration 1 began mitigation work and had me sign a Work Authorization tied to the $16,653.79 estimate. Because this was my first insurance claim, I relied on them to guide the process and work with my insurance company. What I later realized is that I never signed a proper home improvement contract outlining the scope of work, pricing, payment terms, timeline, cancellation rights, or lien disclosures. The only document I signed was a Work Authorization. As the project progressed, the invoices escalated dramatically. By the end of the job, Restoration 1 of Irvine submitted invoices totaling $50k+. It's important to understand that this amount was only for demolition and drying work. The entire reconstruction of the damaged areas of my home ultimately cost around $60k, so the mitigation invoices alone were nearly the cost of rebuilding the damage itself. Their documentation states that if the scope of work changes, the homeowner will be notified before work continues. In practice, I was consulted on only two scope changes during the entire project. When my insurance company (State Farm) reviewed the invoices, they disputed a large portion of the charges as excessive. After months of review, the final amount paid ended up much closer to the original estimate than the $50k+ invoices that had been submitted. During the dispute I began receiving increasingly aggressive payment emails demanding payment directly from me, and Restoration 1 eventually filed a mechanic's lien against my home while the insurance review was still ongoing. For someone who has always paid their bills and maintains an 841 credit score, being treated like a delinquent customer was extremely frustrating. One thing I learned from this experience is that during insurance restoration work there can be a large difference between what a contractor bills and what insurance ultimately approves. If a homeowner pays the contractor first out of panic, recovering that difference from insurance can become the homeowner's responsibility. I'm sharing this experience so other homeowners dealing with water damage or insurance claims can make an informed decision before hiring this company.

We had water damage from a leaking refrigerator supply line and contacted mitigation companies…read moreright away after discovering the leak. We knew that acting quickly was important, but we were also very clear with everyone we spoke to that we wanted to preserve as much of the existing flooring, walls, and cabinetry as possible. We were willing to accept some cosmetic damage if things could be safely dried rather than unnecessarily removed and replaced. Other companies we consulted recommended removing portions of the wood flooring, drywall, and cabinetry, so we were preparing ourselves for a much larger demolition and reconstruction project. This team offered us another option: try drying everything in place first using drying mats, a dehumidifier, and containment, while monitoring the moisture levels to make sure it was actually working. What really stood out to me was how thoroughly they explained the process. They showed me the moisture readings in both the affected and unaffected areas, explained the normal baseline they were trying to reach, and walked me through how the equipment and containment would work. I never felt like I was being asked to simply take their word for it. After several days of drying and monitoring, everything reached acceptable moisture levels. We were able to keep the flooring, drywall, and cabinets without removing any of them. There is some discoloration and minor warping in parts of the wood floor, but it's completely manageable by our standards and a tradeoff we're very happy with considering the alternative would have involved tearing out and replacing otherwise salvageable materials. I'm sure acting promptly after discovering the leak played an important role in the outcome, so I would definitely recommend getting water damage addressed as soon as possible rather than waiting to see if it dries on its own. I'm also extremely grateful that this team listened to our priorities and was willing to take a preservation-first approach while still verifying the results with actual moisture readings. Everyone we worked with was knowledgeable, transparent, professional, and easy to communicate with. What started as a very stressful situation ended with a much better outcome than we expected, and I would absolutely recommend them for water mitigation.
