They went over my personal belongings without my consent, they broke some of them, they put asbestos bags in my patio and didn't take action until I got angry (which is about a week). They don't have any sense of urgency, in one week they only removed dry walls and insulation of a small wall ( around 10ft wide, 8ft high). read more

I had 2 technicians at my home for about 8 days, after the fire extinguisher pipes were replaced by our HOA. The names of the technicians are Blass and Daniel, and they were very professional, always on time, and very clean. At the end of each workday, they would clean up, pick up, and either remove or bind back the plastic they had hung to protect everything inside. They accommodated my requests with professionalism, and I would recommend them for drywall repair, and replacement. read more

Our HOA is contracted with DryMaster so we homeowners do not get a choice when the pipe leak issues are fault of the building. It's such a grueling thing to go through, this being my second time, so you are naturally on edge. Well, then amazing and caring Alex calls to start the ball rolling. I was very calmed after talking with him. Alex was such a good listener and so caring about working around my schedule, it being so difficult during the holidays. He was extremely professional, yet personal, making you feel like family convincing you he'll take good care of you. And he sure did! VIP service! Alex then sent out excellent Jose and Francisco to break my walls down and they then discovered the black mold, taking huge precautions to enclose it all with plastic, like Dexter's workroom, treating it, and then setting up the heat drying machines, etc. They took great care, like it was their own home. Weeks later, after it tested clear, I was told Daniel, who I had requested due to a positive recommendation, was to come out along with Blass. These guys did such an amazing job, in just 2 days! They were a joy to have in my home bc of their kindness and thoughtful protection of my floors, the door being closed, and keeping the noise to a minimum. They were so unobtrusive. I watched in amazement at how detailed and careful they were putting my home back together AND in better shape then it was before! Now, you cannot see where the old walls and new walls meet! No lumps like before. It's magic! And the paint matches perfectly and Daniel's steady hand at painting was as precise as a surgeon! I am such a perfectionist and yet I was so impressed with them that I called Sam the manager to praise these friendly experts and masters of their trade! Removal of mold in my outside/patio storage closet was supposed to take 3 days. We are now at 14. And I am told it will be at least another week before they can come out to finish reconstruction (I don't even have an actual appointment yet). They had to remove my water heater in order to do their work, and installed a very small, temporary one that leaked everywhere, delaying the time needed to dry out their work. Now that everything is dry, there is no sense of urgency on their part to finish their reconstruction. Everyone I speak to there is very nice, but that means nothing when your work sucks and you don't seem to be in a hurry to rectify the matter. read more

Very poor service. Poor response times. Poor communication. No care or concern for the customer. It took a week to get someone to my house and then they didn't show up. I kept getting calls to move my appointment to another time or day as the technician wasn't going to be able to come. I was told they were managing the technician schedule and had other jobs they had to work in - so I was bumped. This happened several times. Throughout the process the woman managing the scheduling showed zero concern for the problems it caused me as I have to take off work each time an appointment is scheduled to meet someone and let them. We hired DryMaster for a challenging household project that neither I nor my husband was prepared to do, and they did an EXCELLENT job. For a couple of years, we had been keeping our aged and increasingly incontinent female housecat in our garage, as she was sadly banished from our house for peeing everywhere. Despite papering every square inch -- floors, shelving units, book cases -- with "wee wee" pads which we changed regularly, the garage reeked strongly of cat urine. She simply peed everywhere -- on storage boxes, household tools, and of course the floor...since the garage is also where we do our laundry, having to spend any time there simply folding linens was really difficult. Our cat finally passed away from natural causes. Then it was time to reclaim our stinky garage. The DryMaster guys not only took up the job with a calm and professional attitude, they assiduously and thoroughly cleaned everything. They needed no direction, took initiative in ensuring everything was done right, and finished on time as estimated. Whatever cleaning compounds they used worked like magic. I tried to let it go and not write a nasty review, but their email with an attitude problem this morning was the last straw for me. I had DryMaster fix my drywall damage and a paint job over the drywall. I took time off work to be home, so I saw everything that was happening inside of my own house. DryMaster invoiced me for multiple work descriptions that never happened from ranging from over $300 for electrical work, $230 for detaching and reattaching the toilet, painting over a door frame, $132 for installing mirrors in my master bathroom. I have two framed mirrors. Their person removed the mirrors from these two tiny hooks and never put them back. So they wanted to get away with charging me $132 for that? I emailed them multiple times saying I deserve an explanation. The Assistant Project Manager said that their Reconstruction Manager will get back to me. They never apologized nor gave me an explanation for these false charges. I was able to reduce over $700 from their initial invoice that contained all the work that they haven't done. Because I'm not an expert in this field, I wouldn't know if I'm being unfairly priced, but I know what type of work was done in my house. I emailed the Assistant Project Manager for the payment receipt 9 days ago since my payment. I paid their final invoice in full. I reminded her this morning after waiting patiently for 9 days to get my receipt. She replied back this morning that she did send it to me and that I would need to wait after she settles in this morning. I don't think she knows the difference between an invoice and a payment receipt. Please train your employees to be more knowledgeable. I have searched my inbox numerous times to check if I might have overlooked her email, but of course, there is no payment receipt to be found. -LATER in the afternoon, almost 8 hours later. She emails me the receipt. No apology. She couldn't find her imaginary email to forward back to me. I thought you said you already sent it to me? haha AS FOR THEIR QUALITY OF WORK, it sucks too. The person was too lazy to find a matching shade of gray paint for my walls. So, he left the walls with unfinished white paint from the ceiling coming down on the walls on top. Completely impressed with DryMaster. We interacted with several different teams after having a nightmare slab leak. From removing the damaged drywall, drying our walls and floors, to rebuilding and painting, DryMaster handled it all. Everyone was extremely courteous, on time, patient with questions, and tidy. Interesting to read a lot of the reviews that indicate selfishness. I was actually coming on to review the same. There are employees in our neighborhood who, when they leave with their commercial vehicles in the morning, will then move their private vehicles into two spaces to save for when they return. Our elderly and handicapped neighbors are forced to walk further to and from their cars so that DryMaster can park their commercial vehicles in our neighborhood instead of in their own yard. If they and their employees are this selfish and inconsiderate to their neighbors, imagine how much empathy and care they will show for your emergency. Character is what you do when no one is watching, but you've been seen and it is duly noted. Response to Josh's 1st Response: This driver has at least one personal car remaining at home when he departs with his Drymaster van. He also has a smaller car with Drymaster ads on it. I have never seen this van NOT here at least once during the day, so I don't think this driver only has it for when he's on call (unless he's on call 24 hours, 7 days a week). Generally, the van is gone during what are considered normal daytime business hours (7am-6pm), so not even sure he'd also be on call in the evening as that seems like a lot. Between his hours and the fact that he has another DM vehicle, maybe he is not a standard employee? Maybe he is managerial or has seniority where he gets to keep vehicles all the time and not check in to the yard?Maybe that can help direct your training/resolution. read more

5 stars and excellent job to Vincent and his crew. They did mold remediation for us for a project that we thought was a small part of the drywall under the kitchen sing but which ended up extended all around the kitchen and even in the dining room. Vincent was always professional and courteous. He took the time to explain what his crew was doing and was very thorough. They did their job at a high quality and always with a smile. I'm giving 4 stars because the estimator and his department were awful. They were slow and inefficient with giving us an estimate for the restoration project (to put back the drywall, paint, put back the cabinets and restore everything). He did not honor his promise of when he would send the estimate nor when he could send a crew to do th Worst of all, their estimate was THREE TIMES what other companies gave us estimates for. It was absolutely awful and so we of course did not do the restoration with DryMaster. It was a shame how they treated me and tried to take advantage just because I had done the mold remediation with them. Updating my review: what a joke of a response. No sir, your delays were all your own fault and an attempt to take advantage of us because you thought we were going to give you the rest of the project just because we had used you for the mold remediation. And your prices were 3x more expensive than other licensed companies in Orange County. You might want to update your "software." read more

DryMaster assisted us with what we thought was a minor bathroom leak over our garage which we discovered was more extensive that we originally thought. Thank goodness the DryMaster team was thorough in their moisture reading which led to the additional discovery. I think most companies would have packed it up and left after the initial minor repair. DryMaster's effort prevented a bigger issue from unfolding and saved us potentially thousands of dollars in further damages. The entire team we worked with was professional from start to finish. Their dispatch/scheduling team is a good as they come. In fact, I have never worked with a more organized and professional services team in our 17 years of homeownership. Where to begin? I only hope this review saves another person from using this unscrupulous company. We had a small roof leak that only dampened the drywall around a window, however after experiencing this issue in the past we do not mess around with what could be potential mold. Drymaster came out and put up what they called a containment before removing the drywall. It was confirmed by one of THEIR employees and our air hygienist that it was put up incorrectly, had no negative pressure, had holes in the plastic and was blowing contaminants INTO our home, not removing them. With NO air scrubbers at all. Their excuse was that they were not on the truck that day. My eyes swelled up (I have photos), and we had to leave our home and get a hotel room all because of Drymaster's subpar work and complete disregard for the customer. They only want your money. After speaking with Josh Bastian the President, not only was he rude and uncaring but charged us over $1800 for work that according to one of their employees should have been comped for their incompetency and putting our health in danger. They even put blue tape on our hardwood floors that we had to remove ourselves as it will damage the finish if left too long. I still have tons of pictures, hand written complaints and several people willing to write affidavits if I choose to take them to small claims court which is not off the table. We are very busy people and yet I believe we might just find the time to bring them to justice. Do not ever hire this company for anything. You've been warned. read more

I had to use this company as they are contracted by my Association, horrible!! I got a slab leak and was assured by a team member they would wrap, cover and protect my furnishings. They they got black grease on my white couch, ruined a custom chair and nothing was protected. I stood with their Project Manager inside my home and asked how this happened, he didn't know. He stated that they would make everything right or replace it with new. They ruined my couch and chair. The couch they took the nap off in areas and it is not clean. The chair was rubbed so hard the material frayed. I spoke with their VP Josh Bastian and he said they cleaned it and would do nothing more. My couch cost $1700 and the chair $600 to replace. They are unethical, horrible and unprofessional. Do not use this company under any circumstance!!! I stand by what I wrote and your cleaning company ruined my couch and chair. I have attached pictures of what my condo looked like after Dry Master came in and used the "care" that I was assured would happen. Drymaster, with the help of Alfonso and Blass, repaired damage to my home including tile work, wall repair and paint.

We unfortunately, had an expensive and negative experience with DryMaster. We were blindsided by Drymaster's bills. We called them to repair a leak from a pipe behind a wall in our kitchen. They came to our house fairly quickly and placed equipment such as fans, dehumidifiers, and air movers in our kitchen for a few days to dry out the damp wall caused by the leak. They had us sign a contract for any charges they might incur while trying to fix the leak. We were told that the asbestos test they performed was state law (Rule 1403) and a requirement. Unfortunately, there was no additional explanation, and we were not informed of the price, so we could not consider options. After talking with neighbors with similar leak problems, we were told that for newer houses such as ours with less than 100 square feet of work area and in a residential dwelling, this testing was probably unnecessary. We were not told how expensive either the testing or the rental equipment would be, therefore forgoing the option to perform our own testing or use our own fans. DryMater charged us $165.81 for the initial service visit, $646.80 for the asbestos testing, and $617.94 for drop off and rental fees of their equipment for two days. After a plumber told us that they were probably charging for the fans, my husband called DryMaster and asked them to remove the fans as we were not aware that we were being charged. They stopped by the house, but their van was full, so they only picked up one fan and had to leave the others for a third night. Later on, when we received the bill, we had a charge for three rental equipment days. After much discussion about the bill, DryMaster removed the third day from our invoice. After two days and no work on the leaky pipe, we had a charge of $1,430.55. I complained, and after much discussion, they were willing to reduce our bill by $250, for a final price of $1,180.55. Because the company did not initially inform us of costs, options and were not upfront or transparent in their charges, we decided to use another contractor instead. If you can get beyond DryMatser's unnecessary expenses, inflated pricing, and lack of transparent charging, their work may be good. But we were not able to overlook the initial charges. As prices become available, we need to be informed. Fans and Asbestos testing are performed often, so we should have been told about them. Perhaps if DryMaster were to be transparent in their charges before performing their services, we would not be where we are today. read more
