Giving this a 2 star instead of 1 because I called and they said next time I come in they would give me a meal of the same price for free. I waited 35 minutes for my food/ the rest of the restaurant was barricaded off from the front service desk so I'm assuming they are only doing Togo's at this time? So I have now contacted my bank, and also reported them for credit card fraud, deceptive business practices, and will also report them to the local BBB. I was stopped and told that the computer had shut down so I needed to wait which I did, the charge went through on my end but did not on theirs apparently so the man told me I have to wait three days And then come talk to them. Man, maybe I ordered the wrong thing. I got curry. It was the saddest/strangest/unappetizing dish I have had in a while. Not a chef but eat a ton of food and have had curry about, say, a billion f****ing times. This was corn starch to stretch it and not nearly enough coconut milk. You may be able to fool people in Casper but this would get trashed on site in any city in the US and you would have your establishment mobbed in Asia. Great food! They have both your standard Chinese cuisine and they are also serving Thai food. Atmosphere is fairly casual, service is good and the food comes out quickly. New Owners as of June 2017. Sad to see Past owners Mei & Bao move back to California after many years of great food and service. The new owners seem eager to please and have kept the majority of the menu intact. The fried rice, wonton soup and egg rolls unchanged and still excellent. My hot and sour soup was lighter in color and had more tofu and less mushrooms than before. Slightly more bland, they had the best in town before. The Kung pow shrimp I ordered very spicy and that did not get back to the cook as it was not hot at all. The Mongolian beef was saucier than usual with a thick sweet glaze, but still a deep black pepper flavor. Sadly only half the green onions or scallions they used to use that were nice. read more

The depot is modern and warm as you walk into what looks like a former fast food restaurant from the outside.! Seated, we were sad to note a very large area of peeling paint. This detracted from the otherwise modern and warm interior design. We were greeted quickly by a very kind and friendly server. We opted in for appetizers and chose steamed dumplings and hot and sour soup. The dumplings were on the slightly gummy side but edible, especially with the sauce. The hit and sour soup was well balanced and satisfying of not just slightly less spicy than I prefer and a little thicker than I am used to. For my entree, I chose the Thai Green Curry dish which was delicious and spicy and creamy in commit goodness. My husband chose the General Tso chicken. The sauce was tasty, and again thicker than we have had in the past. The chicken was definitely overlooked and too thick with coating. This is. Typical problem with fried chicken dishes in Asian restaurants and one we wish would would no longer experience.' In all, the food was tasty (although we both felt that the sauces were canned food service sauces), the atmosphere relatively nice and clean, and the staff was extremely kind and friendly. The beef was indistinguishable; the weirdest texture and flavor we've ever had. The tempura items weren't cooked all the way through and the rice was very odd. Based on other reviews we decided to give this place a shot. The inside appeared cleaned and tidy. Contrary to some reviews-our service was prompt, attentive and polite. The place was slow on this Sunday afternoon, so it was nice to see two employees staying busy and cleaning windows, inside and out. The seaweed salad was great, the steamed pot stickers tasted about as they appeared-bland but freshly steamed/hot. We ordered The Fire Roll, which was certainly not the worst sushi we've experienced-but we could have done without the seasoning they topped it but, but overall it was tasty and had a nice plated presentation. Finally we ordered the Pad Krappaw, again nice presentation but wild certainly order a spice level above a 2. Next time will definitely try a 3 or 4. For the best, quickest takeout, friendly staff, and great selection of Thai-style Asian cuisine, Chopstix can't be beat. You can call in an order, and by the time you get there, it's typically ready (about 15 minutes). Especially great are their shrimp rolls, Thai coconut curries, and egg foo young pancake, which is practically an appetizer in itself. I've eaten here several times now. The food is generally decent but today it was less than impressive. The fried rice is very plain. Usually fried rice has things in it like egg, veggies, etc. This was just dry, rubbery brown rice. I had the chicken lo mein as well. The only thing I disliked about the lo mein is that my chicken had a decidedly fishy flavor. I can't say that I enjoy the flavor of fish so this was disappointing. The staff was great though. You are not supposed to precook the chicken, and just add it to each dish. IT does not take that long to stir fry sliced chicken. The vegetables were fresh. the sauce, meh. sauce thickened by cornstarch, no oyster sauce. The staff is super friendly and go beyond the norm packing it conveniently in a box for me as it was take-out. I ordered General Tso and it's not your average dish. Been here a few times now. Great food and great service. Great quantities at a great price, too. One of my favorites in Casper (and the country). Definitely worth a try. Bonus points that you get to select the spiciness level of every dish, since I like my food spicy! Also, I love their sweet Strawberry Sushi Roll. They have great seaweed salad, too. Their lunch menu gives you an egg roll and a soup with a huge entree for a low price! I would definitely suggest everyone in town to give this place a try. This is my favorite Chinese place. For one thing it's clean which is not something you can say about a lot of Chinese restaurants except Four Seasons in Douglas.. And people pay attention to you when you come in. The rice is cooked nicely, you don't have to ask for more because they just put a goddamn cauldron of it on your table. AND none of the vegetables are soggy. To me that can be a deal breaker, I fucking hate that shit. All the chicken is velveted when they stir fry it, so it's pretty damn succulent. The batter that they use for Sweet and Sour etc. is also really fluffy and light. The Lemon chicken is also cooked beautifully with an almost Tempura like batter. Beef is always across the grain and tender.. The Thai iced tea is like nectar made of love. The Chow Mien sauce is very garlicky but also subtle and delicate and not a sludge of sugar and corn starch that would lubricate your engine. I've noticed some pretty harsh criticism directed at this place, but people need to recognize that Chinese restaurants cater to people's tastes. It may seem like everything is some pretty Johnny Unitas white bread shit on the surface, but if you ask for some tweaks (bone in meat, more spices, more traditional) you will get a different experience from what other people are saying. Of course they're going to try to adjust to what they think white people in Casper, Wyoming's pallets are, don't be surprised if you think its bland, but the same is true the other way. So yeah truthfully I prefer this place over the lime leaf. Some of the food is much lighter fare than you're used to in Chinese places. Some of it is fried crap you want when you're wasted as shit. Some of it assault the fuck out of your mouth with flavor, and... All of it is delivered with impeccable service. I only sent one dish back that was too salty (Pad Pak) and they hooked me up no questions asked. The staff always seems to care about your dining experience. They don't just slam some shit down on the table and peace out for the rest of your meal. May is like the nicest lady ever. Really you can expect to pay 20 bucks or so a person but everything is consistant and there are a lot of choices, (Thai menu isn't half bad either) and the portions are huge! You're gonna have left overs. In closing, little things keep me coming back. I'm a huge proponent of the idea that if you go out you should feel that you spent your money well, if you have a restaurant and won't give people their money's worth, go fuck yourself. So many times when you go to a place, you only notice those things that could be done better. Often times, we fail to notice when everything is done right. My daughter and I went there last night simply to get take out at around 7:45 pm. I ordered Pad Thai, and Cashew Chicken. She ordered a Dragon Roll (Eel) and Orange Chicken. We requested the Pad Thai and the Orange Chicken be a 5 on a spiciness scale of 1-5. Our hostess was extremely friendly, pleasant, courteous and professional. While waiting on our food, I could not help but notice several other staff members actively checking every detail of the tables, carpet, etc. The place was extremely clean, yet they were still policing it. You don't see that very often these days. The hostess, having taken note of our affection for very hot food, brought us a small container of a special hot sauce to try. All of the food was of exceptional quality. Quantities were good also. I have been to Chopstix 4 times since they opened. All 4 times I have found absolutely nothing to complain about, which is very very rare. I give them 5 stars in all categories. read more
