I don't think he's funny at all. He's more strange and awkward. His wife is way nicer to deal with. I sold some gold here but somehow after I left I felt taken advantage of. The owner here is extremely rude my mom and I came in the store asking for him to size our fingers for jewelry we're having custom made in Brazil. Instead of saying no or saying yes and giving us a charge of $5-$10 he said yes and rolled his eyes to look at his employees. He continued to say stupid remarks and his employees were staring at us with nasty faces. I told my mom let's go because I did not feel welcomed here. My other jeweler who is very kind closed early today hence why we went to JMR and they gave us a reason to never come back and stay with my other jeweler. My mom has shopped here once before many years ago but has told me about the owners attitude and that is why she does not spend her money here. We needed the sizing today or we would not have come today. After giving us attitude he tried selling us the same gemstone that we told him we ordered already and I thought it was hilarious he thought we'd spend a dime here after that. He has no negotiation skills and here is a tip for next time: measuring many fingers can be time consuming and we would not have cared if he charged us $5-$10 even though my other jeweler would do it for free but because we are loyal customers so it's understandable to charge here. read more

After some searching for a place that could size my ring same day, we found JMR. The service was incredible from the moment we walked in and the family heirloom ring I was presented with looks even better than I imagined. Absolutely dishonest establishment. I went there to sell some jewelry I no longer wear. Instead of giving me an estimate on how much they would buy my jewelry for, the female employee asked me what other offers I received. I told her one estimate I received but that I'm gathering estimates for the best price. She told me to go shop around, come back in about an hour and that she would give me the better offer over the highest one I received. So I did just that, returned to the store and as soon as I walked in she arrogantly asked me "So whatcha get?". I told her what estimates I got as I laid out the jewelry for her. A male employee looked at some of the jewelry and flatly said "Not interested." And she tossed one of my necklaces on the counter without any care for the jewelry, she rudely said "Whoever offered you $250, go back to them...thank you." Wow. If you told me the first time I went there that you weren't interested I would've been fine. But don't tell me to go out of my way to come back to your store to not buy anything after you promised me you would give me a better price. If you're coming to here to sell your jewelry, don't! They don't handle your jewelry carefully and they'll give you the run around. Especially if they tell you to go out and get other estimates and then come back to their store...buyer beware. If you're coming to buy jewelry, expect their selection to be limited and old fashioned.
