So yesterday I went out with my coworkers to the Wicker Park Fest and a few other bars. They wanted to go to Dstrkt Bar & Grill. I told them id been there plenty of times & I didn't mind going. Upon entering my non-colored coworkers (2 guys) walked right in and proceeded to the bar. I guess the bouncers didn't know we were all together so they tried to charge all the black people. $40 for girls, $60 for guys! We literally watched our friends walk in without paying so we instantly knew it was discrimination! I confronted the bouncer telling him everything I witnessed, flagged down my friends that got in free, and we left. There was no huge ending or anything but I just wanted to spread the word on the racism they exhibit at that establishment. I'll never be back, and encourage everyone else to follow. read more

I didn't eat in the place. I ordered the food to go and honestly don't get the hype about the wings( which is what I got). Yeah they fall off the bone but the correct flavor and texture of the meat just wasn't there for me. I went in to the spot because of Instagram but I'm starting to see that these Instagram influencers are more of promoters of the spots than they are giving an honest review. Had an incredible time at DSTRKT Bar & Grill. The atmosphere was amazing ( music was amazing). The service was top notch. Their wings and empanadas are absolutely delicious. One thing I loved is that they had such a variety of mock-tails. I highly recommend checking this place out. You won't be disappointed. I only came for a drink with a friend, but really enjoyed the vibe here. The live DJ was playing ALL the jams. Finally, reggeaton blasting at a wicker park location lol. First I had the strawberry lemonade cocktail which was good.. but WAYYYY too sweet. I then tried the strawberry mojito. It was better but still on the extra sweet side. Guy at the front SUPER nice. And the bartender was so nice as well. Took the time to explain a drink in the middle of a busy fight night. But our waitress was not great she ignored us for 20 mins until we went and got her. Then it took her another 15 mins to actually come to us. I honestly understand it being a busy fight night but she was servicing tables RIGHT NEXT TO US. We tried to flag her down and nothing. Anyway probably won't go back. It was my first time here I came for my birthday and I absolutely loved it!! All I gotta say is the reviews are RIGHT about the wings, they were literally the best wings I ever had!! They were falling off the bone, I got honey hot which was FIRE. The music was fire too I went on a Friday night around 9-10pm and it wasn't packed but the club downstairs was but I didn't check that out. They have $5 margaritas on Fridays and they were super good too! They also were giving complementary shots, who doesn't love that???!! They also gave me a don Julio cup for free since it was my bday, I appreciate it so much! This is definitely gonna be a spot I come to more often. read more

Loud, tacky, dirty, and just such a bad experience. Had to be patted down to enter a... restaurant? I was ready to leave from the second we entered. I was there for the first (and last) time on Saturday for a birthday party. The music by DJ Earn Money was great, as was the loungey space in the downstairs area, but those were the only good things about this bar. I bought three vodka sodas, two tequila shots (I did not ask for anything top shelf and assumed they were well shots), and a Corona. MY TAB WAS $97!!! My partner bought two Coronas and one liquor drink and his was $55!! The bartender did not provide us with itemized receipts, and she was so busy that I just paid my tab and vowed that I will never be back. Something seems wrong with our totals because the bar's menu lists crafted cocktails around $13, so how the hell could my tab have cost $97? If you go to DSTRKT make sure you ask how much drinks cost and demand an itemized receipt. read more

The food was really good, I had the steak tacos and crispy fries. I very pleased with the spiked slushie drink pouches! I tried the spicy mango. We checked this place out on a Tuesday so there were plenty of specials such as $2 tacos, $2 slush shots and $5 margaritas. It's located in Wicker Park so it's kind of a nightmare finding parking but there is street parking. Somewhat of a smaller space so it definitely fills up quickly. read more

The one good thing about this place was the food. The chicken tenders were probably the best I had. They were super flavorful. The wings are a huge hit too. The service? Lackluster. But our server was nice. I wonder if they are short staffed. Now this is the last and MOST important thing that I think everyone needs to be aware of. CHECK your receipts! It is absolutely crazy that they have a different price on the receipts than what's listed on the menu. The menu has straight forward prices. So like $14, $15 etc. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised to find out they are ripping people off. The prices on the receipts all have additional random cents added to items. I find it incredibly weird. As an example, wings would be 12.57 on the receipt instead of the straight forward price on the menu. I've never EVER seen this before. And then the sales tax is listed at the bottom. When we asked about it, we were told it's outdated and just how it is. What?! We definitely won't be back. read more

Overall Experience: 9/10 There really weren't any cons so here are the pros: - Food: we only had the nachos but they were amazing! The chicken was flavorful and they were loaded with toppings. I definitely wish I had an opportunity to try other items on the menu. - Drinks: The drinks were a hit and miss but the waiter and bartender were extremely flexible to change out the drinks if we had a issue. - Price: Very reasonable! - Space: this was one of the few establishments that I saw really adhering to social distancing. I took my mother and the rest of my family to this place on Mother's Day (5/12/24). We ordered a variety of food. The food was pretty good...no complaints. There was house music playing downstairs, so my family and I went down to listen and vibe. I went to the bar and ordered a rum and coke. The bartender told it would be $10. I was ok with that. So, I proceed with the transaction for my drink via my debit card. I had just given this place about at $20 gratuity for our food. So, I did not tip the bartender, nor did I have intentions to leave one. I paid the $10 for my drink (at least I thought) and went my merry way. A couple of days later, I check my bank account and see an unauthorized payment of $12 to DSTRKT. I was perplexed because my food bill was right at the door of $100 and my drink was $10. I was upset because I did not authorize an additional $2. I assume the $2 was gratuity (at 20%). Two dollars isn't a lot to cry about, but it's the principle. I NEVER authorized the bartender to charge anything other than the $10 for my drink! This is theft! Furthermore, DSTRKT's gratuity is 18% not 20%. So, the bartender charged more than the establishment charges for gratuity! After discovering the unauthorized charge on my account, I called DSTRKT regarding this matter. No one answered the phone, and the voicemail was full. I called back later, still no one answered the phone and the voicemail full. I contacted DSTRKT SEVERAL times over a matter of days!!! No one answers the phone, and the voicemail stays full!!! Then, I attempted to reach someone via email. Til this day, no one responded to my email. I thought about leaving a review regarding my situation, but I decided to leave it alone...until today. My brother stopped by DSTRKT to get something to eat. Upon receipt of the bill, he notices an automatic charge for gratuity. There is an automatic gratuity for parties 4 or more. However, it was just a party of TWO! This is very shady, and it's obvious there are shady practices going on at this place, hence, the reason no one has responded to my email. My family and I are DONE with place and will NEVER, EVER return!!! read more

Drinks were good. Happy hour $5 margaritas and $5 drafts. Wings were ordered original and good. Flauntas were a little dry. Empanadas were good but a little too oily. And my first time ordering pozole. Was very bland to me but my friend said it's typically like that. Our server was awesome, she was very attentive and quick. My martini had a bug in it. The Tito's & soda was good. Old Fashioned tasted like orange koolaid with whiskey in it. The elotes appetizer was delicious. The Pozole was room temperature at best. The Shrimp Alfredo was actually cold and very, very bland. I wouldn't really recommend this place. I was charged $7.57 for fries that was the equivalent to a McDonald's medium. We were charged more for the tacos and the drinks than what was advertised on the menu. The tacos were ok but very small. They were out of several things including items that were included with the order, but offered no compensation. It was on a Tuesday and there was no discount or deals on nothing. The management does not support standard customer service, employee training, or a menu. My server was helpful and was able to verbally list menu items because the menu on the table was not valid anymore. The bartender didn't know the price or name of any liquor. Naturally, the bartender couldn't make the "signature" cocktails. We sent the cocktails back but the manager forced us to keep them on the table and pay for them. I've been meaning to make time to come to this place, so I finally did. We went with a group and we did the Wednesday deal (bottomless wings) for $10 and draft beer for $5. Overall decent experience. The waiter that assisted us was very nice, and attentive. Music was good too. The only thing I would highly suggest everyone is to make sure your checking your check before paying and making sure your getting charged the correct amount. The prices are different when you actually pay in person, over the menu they provide. We had an issue with our check and if it wasn't because we kept double counting and checking the check, we would of gotten over charged. Very unpleasant to see that happen. Thankfully we were able to catch it and address it to our waiter. read more
