My usual specialist is on vacation so I met with someone else who indicated they would not honor the three week refill fee of $55. They wanted to charge me $70. So I made an appointment here after a bad experience at another eyelash shop. I had been here about a dozen times before with no issue and with good results. Well this day must've been my bad day for eyelashes. So I called and they were able to take me right away which I was happy for because the other eyelash shop had me waiting around for an hour and it was the day before Mothers Day and I had so many errands to accomplish. Anyway, they took me in and it went downhill from there. First of all the girl didn't understand a word of English so I couldn't communicate to her AT ALL! I told her I wanted a natural look and she didn't know what I was saying. She just kept saying number 11? And I just went with it and said yes. Then she had me lay on the table and didn't know how to ask me to scoot to the top of the table. Through sign language and gestures, I finally figured it out. Again in mentioned the natural look but she had no clue what I was saying. Then she proceeded to get to work on me and she kept sniffling. She finally took down her mask to wipe her nose. I should've stopped the procedure then, but I was in a hurry and still grateful that they took me last minute, so I stayed. Just to do the first eye seemed like an eternity. I kept asking "how much longer, are we almost done, when will you be finished?" I tried to think of many different ways to ask hoping she'd understand one of them but I finally gave up asking. When she finally finished the first eye, I asked for a mirror. She had no clue what I was asking. Again after some gesturing, she figured it out. When I looked, I hated my lashes, but I just wanted to get it done get out because I had so many things to do. So I let her continue. While she was doing the second eye, I was so jealous because I could hear a clinician in another booth actually consulting and communicating with her client. And when they finished talking, it was clear as to what the client wanted. I didn't get that. Not one word of consultation except for number 11??? So she starts in on eye no. 2. And the thing that holds my eye down is digging into my eyeball and I have to ask her to adjust it a couple times. Again she takes what seemed like a thousand hours to finish my second eye. And I'm laying there thinking, well maybe she's new. We've all been new so give her a chance. When she was finally done after an excruciating amount of time, I couldn't open my eyes. She had glued both corners of my eye together. Especially the outside corner, I could only open the middle of my eye. The inside corner she managed to open quickly but she had to work to open the outside corner. It took her a minute. Well I was finally done. And I didn't like my lashes and when I went to pay, the receptionist could tell and she told me if I didn't like them to come back within three days. But I didn't want to hurt the new girl's feelings because she was very nice an apologetic throughout the ordeal. So I buttoned my lip and didn't complain. Besides, I was going out of town for Mother's Day, so I couldn't come back. So while I was out of town, I was so embarrassed because half the lashes fell off. And then yesterday, I woke up with a stye on my eye where she glued my eyelids together. I'm thinking she probably didn't get all the glue off and my ducts are probably clogged. It's the first time in my life I've ever had a stye. So the moral of the story is this: 1. Speak up for yourself if the service is not what you're expecting. Even if you feel like they were doing you a favor by squeezing you in. You're still paying for the service. 2. For the shop, if your girl doesn't speak English, at least provide someone to sit with her and your client and translate what the client wants. And if the client has more questions during the procedure, the girl should go and get someone to help her translate and understand. I didn't want to seem racist and I was also glad they took me in at the last minute so I didn't want to complain. 3. Lesson learned for myself to speak up when I'm not getting the service that I am paying for. Normally I do, but again, I didn't want to hurt the girl's feelings. So now I'm back in town with a painful stye and I've got to figure out how to get these lashes off my eyes without pulling them off and damaging my real lashes. I'll just google it. so I've been going here for a while n I usually love my lashes n have no issues. I never ask for a particular lash tech when I go bc I never know exactly when im going to go in so I always call 30 min before and im always able to get in but at the price of getting someone new each time. well I don't know the name of the lash tech who did them but she had glasses and was short, she did a horrible job ): she was super quick at doing my fill which was nice but I thought that was unusual.... and was! I noticed a week later she clumped on so many lashes on each of my one single lashes with chunky glue. it felt so gross and wasn't my usual good service I receive. I used to get my lashes done here pre-COVID. By far my favorite eyelash spot! It's been about a year and I can't wait to get them done again! Their staff is always super friendly and they really do a great job. Also pretty affordable compared to other places! I've only been coming here since September, but Mila is just fantastic. She was recommended to me by a coworker and I never have complaints about my lashes, everyone compliments them and they make my face look sooo good. When I got my first set i started with the classic set and I asked for more natural and wispy. I loved them but I was bad at taking care of them and I wore eyeliner consistently, soo after the 3 weeks I asked for a new set and to upgrade to 2D. I LOVE MY 2D, it's so perfectly on the border of natural and glam. I got the same sort of wispy look with the 2D and only very recently I asked for the lashes a little longer and slightly cat eye. Now I take care of them pretty well and only use wet eyeshadow as eyeliner and it works perfectly. My only complaint which doesn't need a star ding is that reception sometimes doesn't book the appointments right, I booked an appointment for a new set once and they didn't write down that it was new so poor Mila didn't have the time to prepare beforehand. She was able to do the new set for me though. I've heard this happen to other people as well and it's pretty unfair to the lash technicians since they need to know what clients are going to need when they come in. read more

It hasn't even been a week that my lashes have been on and they've fallen out A LOT. There's gaps which I had originally asked to be fixed so she fixed them but it seems that they fell out so quickly. the quality is not worth for what we pay. There's lashes sticking out from both top and bottom. Don't think I'll be back. It's been less than 24 hours and a bunch of my lashes are starting to fall out and my natural lash is not even attached to them, so just the extensions are coming off (see photo). My lashes are not as long as I wanted them, I kept saying I wanted them LONG, and when I opened my eyes they were the shortest I've ever gotten them. So disappointed. It was easy to make an appointment, and I was seen right away. I am a new customer and I only wanted to spend on the $50 deal. However the lady kept pushing the $60-$80 sets. I kept asking about the $50 and she ignored me and only showed me pictures of the more expensive ones. So finally I just gave in and spent $60. When she taped my eyes, it immediately started to burn... not even when the glue was applied, just by taping up my eye. At other lash salons that's never happened. So the entire time my eye was burning for the whole apt. So uncomfortable. The lady was very nice, I just don't love my lashes for $60. I went to another place in Pasadena that also has a $60 real mink deal and the lashes there look way more natural, longer, and fuller. Also my lashes ARE FALLING OUT. And it's been less than 24 hours and I did NOT get them wet, didn't sleep on them either. read more

I have a mixed feelings as I visited recently. I like miji beauty as they take walk-ins and is affordable compared to other places. It's probably different by technicians but during the session, I had a burning sensation entire time which I asked the technician to stop occasionally. And at the end the edge my eye was glued together which made me feel uncomfortable (is she cutting my bottom lashes? Was my thought at the time). And even at the end, there was couple of lashes that were tilted 90 degrees that she have missed if I didn't point it out. The thing that irked me the most was the next day, they texted me they charged wrong and asked me to send the rest of the money via Venmo. I went in on Friday morning and es able to book an appointment for that same day at 2. When I arrived My temperature was taken and I was called in at 2:16 to be seen. I did like the outcome of the eyelashes. They were beautiful and exactly what I wanted. However that same night my eyes started getting irritated and I woke up with both eyes red and a sore like feeling. I had a burning sensation like grain was inside my eyes. Both eyes got worse by the end on the day and now they are somewhat infected. Now it's Sunday and I will be going back to get them removed. What a waste of money. It's like I literally threw away $70 plus tip. I ended up going in to have the eyelashes removed and they took me in right away. Unfortunately I was not aware that there was two types of glue because if I were informed at my appointment that there were two options available then I would've gone with the sensitive glue. At my first appointment I wasn't given any options nor any information at all. I was only asked what type of lash I wanted and asked if I had any allergies. It would be beneficial to the client if we were at least somewhat educated about the options we have and maybe that would avoid some issues and you would have more client satisfaction. read more

My regular lash tech that I've gone to for years injured herself so I had to find another business for one refill. First off, this was the worst experience ever. My appointment time was scheduled for 6pm and they texted me at 5:21 to move my appointment back to 6:15... I was already on my way and driving there however I didn't think much of it and didn't mind it at the time. Once I waited in my car for 15 minutes I went inside was told by one of the ladies to wait for just a second while the girl who would be doing my lashes is finishing up a client. I waited until 6:50. Another 35 minutes I had to wait when I almost contemplated going home at this point since I've been waiting almost an hour now. I finally am getting my lashes done and the girl who is doing them is extremely sick.... Mouth breathing over my face, sniffling, and I can hear the snot she's sucking up back in her nose, right over my face. I was so incredibly upset since I just got over a sickness a couple weeks prior and did not want to be sick again. It was so bad I almost told her to stop. After me waiting 50 minutes over my appointment time I thought they would take a few bucks off the total for the inconvenience.... however no. They charged me the ABSOLUTE most for a refill. $87.... I liked the lashes and felt it was somewhat similar to what I wanted. The following day I was completely sick. Terrible body aches, sore throat, and congestion. I have been sick for over 2 weeks and still dealing with terrible symptoms from Miji. In total I've had to go to 2 urgent cares and meet with a doctor 6 times. Not to mention the money I've spent on medication and missing 2 weeks of work. I was not going to call Miji however both a coworker and friend told me I should to see if they can refund or at least give me a credit for my next refill considering this situation. When I called the lady I spoke with was extremely rude, kept putting me on hold to go talk to her manager, and once I requested to speak to her manager she told me she was not there and they have been calling her on the phone. Which I did not believe by the conversation of the call. She told me "I spoke with my manager and we will make sure no more employees come to work sick". I told her that should be a given since they are working on clients faces. I was extremely nice and explained my situation and if there was anything they could do discount wise for my next visit. I told them if I can't do a full refund I'd be more than happy to come back however for this major inconvenience I'd like some sort of compensation. She told me there is nothing they can do and started to say I was lying. I work in the customer service industry so I know how clients should be treated and this was not it. She was so rude and condescending and had zero empathy that I've been out sick due to one of their employees having a cold while doing my lashes and touching my eyes. After I had to go back and forth with her for 25 minutes, she finally said the best they can do is $15. Luckily I had a friend with me listening to the whole conversation and everyone I have asked told me definitely do not go back. They were very rude and hesitant to even give me a $15 discount that I had to argue back with her which is ridiculous. The fact that people are telling me do not go back because they are worried they would mess up my lashes or do something unethical is scary. I'm extremely upset and want my $87 refunded at this point however I know they will do nothing about it. Do not go here, the salon is very out dated, it smells, and there is zero sanitation between clients and techs. I used to go here all the time before covid because mila would do my lashes beautifully! However I went once recently and in the span of a week, HALF of my lashes fell out!! My guess is that it was probably due to this new lash tech yanking at my lashes so my lashes were probably in so much stress. I contacted them telling them what happened but apparently I cannot get a refund because there's a 3 day limit. I didn't know of this rule but they say that it was posted at the counter.
