Let me start out by telling you guys, this place is amazing and so is the owner. Got the chance to meet him and he was the most kind hearted person ever I was greeted with some desserts and an amazing hookah after deciding what type of flavor I would like to smoke. The ambience is beautiful a very nice Turkish Middle Eastern vibe with amazing music playing in the background. Great for chilling and grateful for having a little change of environment. Also a nice spot if you need to get work done or to study. I WOULD RECOMMEND ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO COME HERE!! THE DESSERTS ARE AMAZING!

Really cool new middle eastern cafe in San Diego! My wife and I were in downtown and Dubai Cafe had caught our attention. It is one of the rare spots in San Diego that has Karak Chai and Afghan Sheer Chai. Both were super delicious as well as the Dubai chocolate. We'll def be back to try some hookah. Def recommended! Owners were super nice too!

But what completely surprised me (in the best way) were their Dubai chocolate products. I'm a chocolate lover, and WOW. The Dubai brownie was absolutely insanely rich, gooey, and melts in your mouth. Literally to die for. I'm still thinking about it! But what really made the experience unforgettable was the people. Everyone working there was beyond sweet and attentive. It was actually my birthday, and they were so kind and thoughtful it made the whole night feel even more special. You can tell they truly care about their customers and want everyone to have a good time. That kind of genuine hospitality is rare these days. If you're ever in the San Diego area and looking for a laid-back yet elevated lounge to hang out, do hookah, and treat yourself to some incredible desserts, this is the place. I'll definitely be coming back again!

Coffee was good, I tried the habibi latte it's my favorite, the ambience it's perfect but the big Dubai bar was nothing I expected! Disappointed, the chocolate is thick and very little pistachio with not much flavor, just a plain big bar. They had more desserts but they didn't introduce us to them they need variety when it comes to coffee more pastries. Hope next time I come visit they have more.

Fantastic little shop with a tasty array of unique Chai lattes. Dubai Chai was a more traditional chai, like you would find at your local Indian restaurant, but with a bit more sweetness so it really goes down easy. The Masala Chai absolutely smelled amazing but, surprisingly, didn't pack much punch on the spice-o-meter. While it was good, it wasn't the WOW I expected. Will be back to try the pink tea, that one sounds promising! read more

This was a cool spot that we went to on a Monday night, it wasn't overly packed. We were able to get seats right outside on a beautiful summer night. We had green tea, hot tea. Both were great. We also had milk tea as well as several of the chocolates that were all delicious. We also had a hookah which was a little bit strong at the beginning, but the owner came out and fixed it right up for us. Overall, very pleasant experience we would go back to the spot if in the area. read more

Went here after a Padres game and the feel in love with the vibe and customer service. The hookah is high quality and food is good. We got their house mix and the flavor is really balanced. My partner & I unfortunately didn't enjoy our experience here. We ordered a caramel macchiato and a habibi latte - both lacked flavor, tasted bland. There were barely any desserts displayed and our hookah burned so fast, a TON of smoke came out when the guy blew on it. Their espresso machine is SO disturbingly loud, it stops your conversation midway and makes for a very unpleasant ambiance, wanting to immediately leave after the 2nd time. The server never came to ask if we were ok unless we asked for help. The background music also didn't match with a chill hookah vibe. This place fell short on several accounts. We personally wouldn't recommend this place to others. read more

My wife and I are from out of town. She was looking for a good place to have some chai and we stumbled upon this place. For starters, Cal the owner/manager was so kind and hospitable it was hard not to like him. The chai he made for us was so good and perfectly balanced with the spices. We tried both the imported and house made chocolate, I have to say the house made chocolate is better in my humble opinion, I like the crunch. Overall a fantastic place with good vibes! read more

I was surprised & impressed by how they prepared this elegant ( there's simply no other word) cup of coffee that blew my mind with the attention to detail they placed in this simple cup of coffee ( I truly won't explain what's in it you need to just go) . The barista's were casual & accommodating. The decor is simple. Seating in or outside. I'm telling you it's 100% about fabulous coffee. Mind blowing! read more

I tried the Yemeni coffee and to my surprise it was a perfect balance of spices, not too sweet, it paired well with the white Dubai chocolate bar. Will definitely come back to try more coffees and teas from their menu. A nice cafe with casual chill vibes. read more

Giving it 3 stars because the bathrooms are DISGUSTING. There's only 2 unisex bathrooms and they are often clogged up. If it isn't clogged up, there's no toilet paper or it's just trashed. Sometimes the door lock is broken too and won't lock properly. They have been doing some renovations to their furniture but not the bathroom. It's so gross. The specialty drinks are really good. Especially when the bartender Chase is there. My favorite is the Pink Lagoon. It'll sneak up on you because it is made with tequila. It's like an alcoholic pink drink with the coconut cream, guava and pineapple. Pricy with drinks averaging $15-20 and they have an automatic 18% surcharge on weekends (that is not tip). Food is great. Some of the best wings downtown. The lamb chops are really good too. I wouldn't get the wagyu sliders. It wasn't good. It tasted like an average slider advertised to be fancier since it's "Wagyu". I've had better sliders elsewhere for much cheaper. Save your $30. Parking here is horrible because it's in the heart of gaslamp. Horton plaza parking is probably your best bet if you can't find street parking.

Looking back, I think just ordering the charcuterie tower by itself should be good enough for appetizers. I also ordered farmer's market fruit salad. It was okay. Unfortunately there was way too much arugula and the bitterness overwhelmed whatever other flavors that was part of the salad. Again, very average experience and not justified by the high price. For the actual entree, I ordered a bone-in dry aged rib eye, my dad ordered the petit filet NY strip, and my mom had catch of the day, which happened to be the sea bass for $38. I didn't think my rib eye was bad, but it wasn't overly amazing either. The NY strip was awesome and wish I had ordered that instead. The sea bass was also cooked to perfection. Sadly, seems like my main dish was the only one that was off. For the side dishes, I do highly recommend the potato puree. The roasted mushroom is again, overly salted. For dessert, we ordered coffee and a tiramisu cheesecake. Amazing amazing cheesecake and excellent coffee. When I asked where the coffee was from, the server actually gave us a free bag of coffee beans since they actually don't sell the coffee at the roaster, so I really appreciated this gesture. Overall, I think the quality of the food here is somewhat inconsistent. Some dishes we had were great and others were off. But the excellent service here (and the fact they gave us free bag of coffee) warrants an extra star, which is why I'm giving this place a 4/5. Would I come back to this place again though? Probably not given how expensive the food is and the inconsistently quality, but it was nice that I gave this place a try in San Diego.

They also offered us all free orange juice. However, if they knew they were having issues with the kitchen then they should've told us earlier before we got seated so people could go elsewhere rather than waiting an hour for their food. Overall, service here was very poor. In terms of food, it was unfortunately pretty good but not worth the wait. I really liked the simple toast with matcha cream on top as well as the curry hamburg. My friend ordered the shakshuka (not pictured because it came last and everyone just wanted to eat at that point) which was also pretty good. For the avocado toast, the toast was too hard so I wouldn't recommend it. We also ordered a yuzu and matcha yuzu mimosa. Both tasted like yuzu. The matcha yuzu one was basically a green yuzu mimosa. They have a vero water purification system so their water was really good lol.

Honestly , i rarely write reviews, I have never been to a lounge that has exceeded my expectations . I'll tell you why . I was treated with respect as a Muslim hijabi woman. This place is great for studying its does get busy towards the evening time around 6 pm and up . However for me it's doable . The owners and employees check on you periodically and make sure your hookah is up to standards so you don't have to spend on a refill spoiler alert I still spend on a refill because I'm here for a while and it's just good vibes. They don't rip you off . The prices are cheaper than other places by a couple bucks. The drinks are so good I tried a simple hazelnut latte and then I tried a Dubai latte and I'm not a sweet tooth kind of person but it's so good !! The Dubai chocolate here is hands down the best downtown . I think Dubai chocolate is overrated but let me tell you the white Dubai chocolate is bomb.com. I also had their strawberry redbull it's also yummy. Parking i can see it being bit difficult for people but I never had an issue , I always found one up front or down the street. Feel free to talk to the employees and owners they are very understanding and have great communication skills. Give it a try it won't hurt and I am a harsh critic so trust me I get it and I know the needs of everyone just wanting there own space and is on a date maybe and want to have privacy . Dubai Café is legit one of the best hookah spots in San Diego. The hookah hits smooth and clean, no harshness at all. You can tell they know what they're doing. I had their house-made Dubai chocolate and it was seriously good--rich, not too sweet, and really high quality. The tea was solid too--strong, flavorful, and a great match with the chocolate and hookah. The vibe is chill, the place is clean, and the service was on point. I stopped by Dubai Café and had such a great time. The coffee was really good super smooth and flavorful. Their hookah was honestly some of the best I've had, and the vibe was just right for relaxing. I also finally got to try the Dubai chocolate bar, and it totally lived up to the hype. Me and my coworkers came out to see this new place in downtown. We were greeted, sat wherever we liked and we ordered all the house specials. All the recommendations were truly rich quality, the hookah was the best ive had in san diego, and the coffee was strong as promised.
