I was treated with so much respect and dignity. They didn't shame me for having a lapse in dental coverage or poor coverage. The facility looks like a beautiful, luxe spa. Pro tip: their bathroom definitely has a fun vibe and sweet speakers if you need to take a moment to freshen up before you're called into your appointment! The out-of-pocket price for my exam, x-rays and extraction were quite fair. They are transparent about you're paying for and show you exactly what you'll pay before they perform anything. They also offer a discount/membership plan, but I haven't subscribed yet. Special thanks to Zach, who is super friendly and helped me understand everything before my extraction. Mina did a fantastic job helping me understand my x-rays before I met with Dr. Choi, who extracted my very angry tooth. Although no one enjoys such things, I must say that the whole experience far surpassed my expectations. Everyone I've met is so kind and helpful. A week after the extraction I was worried that I might have dry socket, (I didn't) but thankfully Dr. Choi was able to fit me in to follow-up and prescribe some antibiotic mouthwash to help with the pain and swelling as my gum healed. Weeks later, my extraction site is looking healthy and I have zero pain.

Unfortunately, it now feels more like you're a wallet and a number. The practice seems much more focused on growth, volume, and revenue. Every time I come in, I see new people and new doctors, and the personal, familiar feeling is gone. My most recent visit was especially disappointing. I was asked to sign three pages of paperwork focused almost entirely on cancellation policies, late fees, and additional charges. It felt less like patient care and more like, "How can we get more money out of you?" The cleaning was even more concerning. While the hygienist was taking my gum measurements, a doctor came in and interrupted the cleaning to examine me. The examination happened before the cleaning was complete, so the doctor was making an assessment without the lower gum measurements being taken. In my case, I have implants, crowns, and significant dental work along my lower gum line, which makes this particularly concerning. A second doctor came in shortly after, but the hygienist told him the examination had already been done. The lack of coordination was surprising. Once the doctor left, the hygienist quickly wrapped up. The lower gum measurements were never taken, the scraping was not done, and there was no polishing. A cleaning that normally takes me over an hour was finished in about 20 minutes. My concern is not the hygienist personally--she was pleasant. It's the lack of coordination and the rushed, high-volume approach. After years of loyalty, it's disappointing to see a practice that once felt personal and caring become so transactional. I hope Gale Ranch Dental doesn't lose sight of patient care while focusing on growth.

Dr. Zhao was very accommodating in scheduling my appointment which is important to me since I have a baby to take care of. I had not seen a dentist for a long time, so when she found several more cavities during the detailed check up I was not surprised. But instead of scheduling me for followup visits Dr. Zhao was able to do the entire work efficiently in one visit. I liked that I could not even feel the needle from the numbing and I cannot feel any of the fillings she placed. I highly recommend Dr. Zhao and will see her again in the future.

My husband had the same deep cleaning procedure done at this same office 7 months ago for a fraction of the price -- $198. I wrote to them asking for a revised quote without the optional procedures and never got a response. On top of that, no matter how early you check in, you're always waiting at least 30 minutes past your appointment time. Front desk staff are not pleasant to deal with either, so don't expect any warmth or willingness to help if you have questions about your bill. Do yourself a favor and get a second opinion elsewhere before you let this office anywhere near your mouth.

I initially came in for a root canal with Dr. Karishma Shah, and from the moment I sat down, the experience felt unprofessional. Before even introducing herself, Dr. Shah immediately began commenting on the size and length of my teeth. The assistant joined in as well. What should have been a simple introduction turned into a discussion about my appearance and dental anatomy, which made me uncomfortable from the start. The procedure lasted approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. During that time, Dr. Shah repeatedly commented on how long my tooth and root canals were, sighed heavily, huffed and puffed, and appeared visibly frustrated throughout the procedure. As a patient lying in a vulnerable position with my mouth numb and open, it was upsetting to repeatedly hear complaints about something I cannot control. Dr. Shah also made negative comments about another dentist's work after asking who had started the procedure and placed the temporary filling. She remarked, "No wonder, I can tell," followed by comments about it looking like his work, while laughing with the assistant. Hearing providers criticize colleagues in front of a patient is highly unprofessional. The conversations throughout the procedure were equally concerning. Dr. Shah and the assistant discussed another patient who had missed an appointment, questioned whether that patient was really in pain if they failed to show up, and complained about how schedule changes affected Dr. Shah's day. None of this had anything to do with my care and should not have been discussed in front of a patient. Because of concerns about the length of my canals, approximately nine additional X-rays were taken throughout the procedure. Dr. Shah repeatedly left the room between these X-rays, which significantly extended the appointment and raised concerns for me about maintaining a sterile environment during treatment. The worst part occurred when Dr. Shah dropped a heavy dental instrument onto my head while I was in the chair. I suffer from migraines, and the impact immediately triggered one. Despite this happening, there was still approximately 25 minutes of work left to complete. I came into the office for a root canal and left with a migraine that lasted four straight days. Unfortunately, my experience did not improve when it came time for the crown placement with Dr. Chan and Briana. The crown felt too small from the beginning. Briana did not introduce herself until I specifically asked for her name. During the fitting process, there were difficulties placing the crown correctly. At one point, the crown became stuck and could not be removed immediately, requiring several minutes of adjustments before Dr. Chan and Briana were able to remove and reposition it. Even after the crown was placed, it did not feel right. The crown protruded enough to rub against the inside of my cheek and caused ongoing discomfort. As a result, I had to return for a third visit to have the issue addressed. Given the amount I was charged for treatment, I expected a properly fitted crown and a smoother experience overall. Instead, I was left dealing with discomfort, additional appointments, and frustration that could have been avoided had the crown fit correctly from the start. EDIT: I just checked my insurance statement I am livid! I spotted 3 Extra charges !!! and the amount to be charged the CORRECT amount to be charged has ballooned!! I will be making a claim against this! DO NOT COME HERE!!! ABORT MISSION!

I'm having multiple surgical extractions, a simple extraction, a few fillings and partial dentures done here. I wish I could give 10 stars so far. From the genuinely polite front desk girl to the equally polite and kind girl who took my ex rays to the so kind doctor and same with the gum doctor thank you. Next is my consultation with the oral surgeon. I got super lucky to be able to schedule him the next day due to a cancellation. Expect to wait a couple weeks or so normally. This is the #1 most important thing ever in my life and so far I'm so happy I found this place. I really appreciate the sacrifices these doctors made in their lives to this kind of work and do what they do for people everyday. I'm a pretty good judge of people and business and I'm almost certain this review will stay at 5 stars though out all my procedures. Thank you all! I can't wait to start living my life again.

I came to get a wisdom tooth removed. I set an appointment…read more Turns out that was with a regular dentist. I needed to see a specialist. They used my insurance without explaining the cost of anything. So when I show up to my specialist appointment I get smacked with a crazy copay just to see the doctor. Not even to get my tooth taken care of. They could have explained what my insurance was covering instead of just charging me the first time and letting my deal with full cost of the specialist appointment. That was the whole reason I was coming here. Waste of time and money.
