Found this place after passing up a Starbucks for something different. I had an hour to kill between client meetings and wanted a good coffee and a place to relax. Found it here! Really cool, friendly vibe. I liked the eclectic decor, mismatched furniture and the artwork. Lots of coffee choices, different milk options and beans to go. I didn't try anything fancy so no idea about whether those options are good - enjoyed a nicely balanced brewed coffee and a fun, homey atmosphere. First, I travel a lot and always like to stop at local roasteries. I love how relaxed the atmosphere is here, lots of choices and for flavors, they have an extensive list that they can make if it's not on the shelf. You can grab a mug and just sit to relax with unlimited refills. So the atmosphere just lulls you into relaxing without watching the clock. The atmosphere was great - people and the look of place. Loving the concept - the coffee was not so bad. The pro about this place is you get to sample each coffee that was presented. Have not tried the food, will come again. It may require few tries before one can determine if it is a plus! I would recommend the coffee place for anyone local. I love Dublin Roasters. First of all, the menu has plenty of choices, the food is yummy, the coffee is great, and the atmosphere is that of a traditional coffee house: eclectic furniture and conversation spaces, private rooms you can reserve at no cost, and community events like the monthly Sing-a-longs and the open mic afternoons by the Frederick Acoustic Music Association. There is a barista working at Dublin Roasters who almost every time I've gone there she has been standing out front talking to customers about who knows what for the longest time. As a manager of a restaurant, this really bothers me. Obviously it's not my business and the owner of Dublin may do as he or she pleases, but I can't help but become a little irritated every time I see her. If one of my employees were doing this on a regular basis, they would be booted. It's ridiculous to me the amount of times I see her doing this, especially when it is busy! I will never forget this one instance with her. I was sitting in my car checking emails before going in for a cup of coffee, and I see her walking over to the chiro place next door. Whatever no big deal, who knows what she's doing but it's none of my business. Go in to get my coffee and all is calm. However within 5 minutes a rush came out of nowhere and there is a line of customers going out the door! The place is packed, there are I think 2 employees (but I can't see into the back so idk) who both look frantic and overwhelmed. The rush eventually dies down 15-20 minutes or so later and here comes this girl prancing in with no knowledge that she just left her coworkers in the dust. What was she even doing over at the chiropractor during a shift?? Do that shit after you get off of work.. Anyways, it wouldn't bother me that much but I've worked with people like her. They make their coworkers lives so much harder with their selfishness. Maybe it's not as bad as it seems, but I go to Dublin pretty often, and almost every time I see her standing around doing nothing/talking for a substantial amount of time. I can't stand to be that person who bitches about service but I also can't stand people like her. From my experience as a manager I can tell you that Dublin Roasters would benefit from taking care of this issue... Other than that Dublin is great! My favorite aspects are the seating arrangements and the desserts/pastries! I recommend the cherry hand pies, they're my favorite :) Can I hire your baker to come work in my home and bake for me all the time..? read more

i met Serina the owner several years ago when she came into the antique store where i was working that happened to be just around the corner from where she lived at the time. We struck up a conversation that led to her telling me about her coffee business -- her passion was so evident in our conversation that i wanted to be a part of what brought her such joy! Thus began our friend/customer relationship! My fiance was skeptical when i shared my enthusiasm with him about Serina's coffee -- asking what made her coffee and different than any other bag of coffee. Well -- i decided that there was no better way to convince him than to let him taste it for himself! And here we are several years later dedicated customers who drink only Dublin Roasters Coffee at home, share it with our friends -- having sent it as far as Paris to friends eager to see what my excitement was all about, telling people on the street when the subject of coffee comes up and lament about it when we are forced to drink so-so coffee even in fine dining restaurants. DRC is roasted deep and full. It is rich and mouth watering! The finest of the finest! i never fail to be tickled and elated when my hard-sell husband touts the wonders of DRC, declaring adamantly that Serina's coffee is THE BEST! By far the best coffee shop and coffee roaster in Frederick. The Service was fantastic. The staff explained the different roasted coffees and were extremely patient. I would really like to have a better review for Dublin Roasters, since I love the idea of great coffee being roasted locally. The coffee is good, but not exceptional, and the service is lethargic. I bought a chai latte and it was syrup-sweet and tepid; I threw it out. I got a latte the next time and it was fine, but nothing exceptional. I have bought the coffee and it is good, but not great. The main complaint I have is that the service is sub-par and exceptionally slow. read more

We used to buy a pound bag of coffee every week from Starbucks but have now gone 100% with Dublin Roasters. The in-house roasting makes all the difference. I finally stopped into Dublin Roasters for the first time this week. I needed to get some work done, and there was a perfect table right in front of a big window facing out onto Market Street. There were plenty of outlets available to plug my laptop into, but the table was a little wobbly. I got the bottomless mug of coffee for $2.50, and was offered a hershey's kiss to go along with my coffee- a nice little touch. The mug I was given was probably about 12 ounces, and I filled it up a few times, so I got my money's worth. The atmosphere is nice- there are people talking inside, but it's still mostly quiet inside, and it's nice and warm with some cute lighting. I tried the Highlander Grogg (which I've had before at Frederick Coffee Co) and the Volt blend, both of which were delicious. I also had an almond croissant from Carriage House for an additional $2.50, which was very good. I stayed for probably about 4 hours and was comfortable the entire time. The staff was very friendly. I can't wait to return and try some more coffee! read more
