Always good coffee, pastry and hospitality. They have vegan pastry so my son with egg allergy can have some goodies too:) And kids friendly! They have a little play area so we can keep my kid entertained while we have our coffee. The shop detail on this yelp says "free Wifi" but I don't see any password posted at the cafe. I wish they offer free wifi. read more

I've been to Dubsea many times and they have never disappointed me. They are a local business that supports local business! They serve Stumptown coffee, and fresh pastries from Macrina and Mighty-O Donuts, among others. They also feature art by local artists in their space and occasionally have live music events and show a commitment to supporting the local community. Their signature Cardamom latte is amazing - it contains sweetened condensed milk to make it extra special! Another important fact about Dubsea (at least for me) is that they have four milk alternative choices: Soy, Rice, Hemp, and Almond. The environment is great and all of the workers always have a bright shining attitude and genuinely want to make sure you are satisfied with your drink! read more

I know i'm supposed to talk about the Cardamom Latte, but that's not really my style. I usually get the aeropress coffee and that always hits the spot. Let's be honest, this is Seattle...it's not hard to find good coffee. What I like about this place is just about everything else. The physical space is great, comfortable, not over-saturated with too many seats crushed together. It's a great place to sit with your computer and do work, or have a quiet conversation with someone. The staff is super welcoming and the other coffee drinkers are respectful and nice to be around. Don't be shy about getting some of the pastries and baked goods, too...they are all tasty! read more

Beware of staring directly into the foam... you will be memorized. Don't believe me check out their site, no better yet stop by DubSea when their foam artist in working. I could have sworn his pictures of what he does to the frothy top of a caffeine indulgence was photo-shopped but nope. The owner confirmed she saw him make it with her own eyes. Besides being amazingly pretty, their coffee is actually really good. The space they've created encourages the creative juices with though provoking art all around by community artists. I plan on returning often for my caffeine fix. read more

3.5 stars! I had heard stories about their famous cardamom latte! I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but I was intrigued and wanted to try it out. One day, I accidentally woke up too early and so I headed over to this White Center cafe. I ordered the cardamom latte and also an almond croissant (one of my fave pastries!). The barista that took my order was really friendly and asked if I wanted my croissant heated and if I wanted a stamp card! Yes and yes please! My cardamom latte was pretty good, it had a nice flavor to it - the cardamom wasn't overpowering at all. The almond croissant was good too (not the best I've ever had though). The interior is pretty spacious with plenty of tables and also bar style seating and they have free wi-fi, so it's actually a good spot to work at. At the back, there's a sort of kids area. They had other pastries available like scones and squash bread (this looked good too!) and bagels. read more

I heard about this place from a fellow in a coffee group I go to. I went with my husband and a friend on a Sunday morning. That day, there was only one lady working behind the counter so it took a while to get ahead in line and place out order (thus the -1 star.) I ordered a hazelnut mocha with an almond croissant, my husband got a latte of some sort (forgot the name though...) and my friend got a raspberry mocha. I've gotta say, that was the best mocha I've ever had. It wasn't too chocolatey nor too much coffee; it was the perfect balance along with the hazelnut flavor. The croissant was really good too! I have no idea how many times I have been here but just realized I have never let the world know how I feel about this place. Their motto says it all: give Love get Love. No the coffee is not Starbucks serve 50 people an hour crap coffee fast. Each cup is handcrafted to perfection and absolutely worth waiting for. The baristas are genuine and want you to have the best experience and they will make you heaven In a cup. The food is good, it is all brought in but they chose their vendors carefully. The atmosphere is great, new local artists displaying their talent on the wallsevery month, industrial meets teal and even the kids are taken care off with a hangout area. Me, I am enjoying my little bit of heaven at an outside table, enjoying a warm sunny Sunday morning in Seattle, transporting me for a moment to a village in France and grateful for having Dubsea in my neighborhood read more

Great latte, cold brew and chocolate chip cookie! I'd definitely come back if in the area again. There are not many tables here even though they could've squeeze more in so it is spacious inside. They sell merchandise too if one is so incline to get a T-shirt or a mug. read more

Staff is super friendly, coffee is amazing, and we love their sandwiches as well!! While waiting the shop is filled with beautiful art to browse or buy while they make your coffee. I love the selection of food because we like to pick up breakfast with our morning coffee, and they have everything from gluten free/vegan pastries to egg sandwiches and Cuban-style paninis. The turkey bacon croissant is one of our favorites, it comes with a delicious roasted garlic aioli. Ask for it heated!! read more

Can't give them enough stars!! Came to Seattle for vaca earlier this heat and as a big coffee lover I was excited and where we stayed was near Dubsea. We came here multiple times during our trip because it was SO good!! Their orange hazelnut pinwheel, or something of the sorts was to die for. I think about it as least once a week..and this was months ago! Seriously just love this coffee place and it's worth a try read more

Dear White Center- You've come a long way, baby! Used to be, the best you could get in White Center was an instant espresso at some donut shop. Now, there's Dubsea. Artwork on the walls, murals near the bathroom, a GIANT pastry case that's always full of exciting things, and great staff is why I like this shop. Music selections are played over the speakers from Pandora on the register computer. Pandora always manages to get it right! I will have to dock 1 star for the fact that there's (in the afternoon) hoards of elementary-age children yelling, fighting, or pushing eachother around trying to order cookies or chips. I was completely put off by being slammed into by several rude kids pushing me away from the goodies case while I waited for my drink to be made. Other than throngs of crappy kids, this place is top-notch! Free wifi, plenty of places to plug in, peaceful (minus the kids) patrons, and above all else, good drinks. I ordered a 20oz mocha this visit, and a turkey sandwich. The sandwich left much to be desired... I have no idea how long it was wrapped for, but the taste of onion had filled all of the ingredients and the bread was soggy. It was also a HUGE sandwich, and I had to hunt for a knife to cut it into a more manageable portion. read more

This is one of my favorite Seattle coffee shops- and I drink a lot of coffee all over town. I've been coming here since 2014 and it's even better than it was then. They have delicious drip and espresso. Pastry/food selection is good and pretty fresh. The vibe is great for getting some work done or having a meeting, and on weekends it's a nice place to sit and relax a bit. They manage to be both work friendly and family friendly. What I love about this place even more than all of that that is they are great neighbors in White Center! The staff is genuinely friendly to everyone. They put up art that showcases local artists and work that local community organizations and school programs are doing. I used to do non-profit work in WC, and I know that they are supportive of them as well. It means so much to have an institution that not only values their own business but the community they are apart of. And I know that supporting this business really is supporting the community. Their mugs say, "Give love, get love," and you can tell they live by this also. read more

Their signature drink is the cardamom latte, which gives the drink a smokey, but earthy aroma. In addition to the great coffee, they have a variety of pastries including vegan and gluten-free options. Great place to have drinks and converse, socialize, people watch. Staff is friendly...they love to sing along to the song playing...first time here and it was a friendly experience. Ambiance was great and welcoming. They do have wifi There's a school nearby so at 230 there's a crown of little ones. Coffee the cardomom coffee was good flavor. Overall worth while. Cute little local coffee spot in White Center! Great place to stop by, grab a beverage, and get some work done. I got the strawberry Italian soda with coffee flavored whip cream and oh my goodness it was delicious! Flavorful and refreshing. The whip cream really hit the spot and the Italian soda really quenched my thirst. The coffee is great, 4-5 stars. However the service is (at least today) inconsistent. Basic acknowledgment and multi-tasking weren't really in evidence this last visit. I shouldn't be at the counter for longer than a minute before being acknowledged with a : "Be right with you," or something similar. Don't get the oatmeal, there's more oatmeal in the store bought individual packets. I'm sorry but oatmeal has to be the cheapest thing on any cafe's menu, I think if you are going to dress up your oatmeal with steamed milk and cinnamon, I need more than 6 full teaspoons of food. When the owners are there, there's a bit more of a sense of urgency. read more

The cardamom flavor is prominent, so if you don't like that flavor, I'd choose something else. I also ordered some breakfast items. I got the Lil' Verda, which is a breakfast burrito on a flour tortilla with scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, avocado, and salsa verde ( I also added sausage to it). It's pretty tasty! It's a big burrito for being on a medium flour tortilla. I got the fiancé a breakfast sandwich on a brioche bun (you can choose what bread you want; they even have gluten-free) that came with scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, and I added bacon for him (adding a meat was only $2, which is reasonable). As I said, I pre-ordered everything on their online ordering system. My order was ready when I got there as promised. The staff member who helped me was super nice and pointed out where the hot sauce (Tapatio) and straws were. They do have separate windows for ordering and pickup. If you order online, just head to the pick-up window. It is a little spendy (breakfast sandwich w/ added meat $10.75, burrito w/ added sausage $12.75, and two espresso drinks at roughly $8 and some change), however, everything is going up in price (Gas is up to $5.09 +), so take that as you will. Overall, it's a cute little spot nestled in a neighborhood. There is street parking, but it's in an area that isn't too hard to find parking, as it is further away from the very busy spots of West Seattle. I'd come back, perhaps take the fiancée there so we can enjoy it fresh.

The cream is quite heavy though and leaves a fatty mouthfeel. Wish this was a lighter cream that's fresh filled into the pastry, but that's another prep step before serving. Overall, really fun place in terms of the decor, music and interesting twists on food. Oodles of nostalgia is always a positive in my book. Had the bread been better, I wouldn't have hesitated to give a full 5 stars. Give Love Get Love. Is that not the cutest cafe slogan you have ever heard? Dubsea, a cafe inspired by art and music, is one of the loveliest cafe's I have been to! The decor is very modern with an essential focus on texture (you can see it on the tables and the counter!). I love how much detail was put into creating the inside of the coffee house! The place is hip with cool wall decor (they mounted mini painted skateboards--so creative) and plays an assortment of lounge music. The stumptown coffee they serve is fantastic! Sweet and nutty in flavor. I'd also recommend trying their panini's. It has lots of meats, jalapenos, cheese..it is just melted goodness inside two slices of crispy bread! The barista's are also the friendliest bunch around! Dubsea is a great example of a local coffee house done right! They deserve our love and support! Two big thumbs up to Dubsea Coffee, very pleasant atmosphere and not to mention their enjoyable yet cool looking coffee. Everything from the art work and music all contributes to what Dubsea is really all about. I've went to many cafe's and most are just boring and feel all the same. I love the atmosphere here. There was great music playing and nice natural light through lots of big windows. The coffee here is some of the best in the area. I've been searching for a high quality coffee shop that can pull a good shot of espresso and this place is the one! I will be coming back here often for more coffee...good pastries too. I would have to say this place is THE BEST coffee in SW Seattle. They do such a great job. I was here for a community meeting a few days ago, for the first time, and I think it will soon by my everyday place (when I get through a gift card for another location). Love the baristas, Americano, and lemon cake here. The chocolate cake is a bit too dense for me, but if you like thick, chocolate muffins, you may enjoy it. The cozy, relaxing atmosphere makes Dubsea Coffee ideal for dates with your significant other or for finishing your essays. read more

Their coffee tastes like you were finally invited to the dance. While the market has decided that a Goblin will pay at least $8 for a coffee now, I'll fight back my Goblin tears and say "WORTH IT, WORTH IT, YOU ARE WORTH IT!". It shares a parking lot with what looks like a defunct Rainier Beer Brewery building, though parking here was nearly packed near this location when I got here. Interior is very pink, very cute and very casual with semi-loud music and an environment that invites the laptop crowd to crowd in but without as much strength. There's also a drive-thru here, and the two baristas working the counter were super efficient dividing their time between the orders there and the orders coming from regular cafe patrons like myself! They were also pretty patient with me and other customers after me as I was still deciding what i wanted. They offer a wide variety of options from their signature coffees to healthier drinks and even some pastries and merch. You can get their drinks in various sizes, and the larger the size the more espresso shots it will have. With that said, I got their 16oz (2 shots of espresso) iced toffee butter macchiato with regular milk, and I could feel the espresso hitting me as I quickly downed the drink like I usually do. There's a little bit of sweetness from the caramel and toffee, and of course a strong caramel touch that actually stays on level with their coffee, which doesn't take over any of the taste added in. What a nice coffee place to stop at along a road that I travel often! I would so grab another one of their signature drinks when I come back here.
