    Banchan

Loved this place! Banchan was great, and favorite dish was the braised short rib as well as the ice cream you get at the end. We also tried the meat patty (also a fav), purple rice, beef soondubu. The place is well decorated and service is also great. Would come again to try more!

Interior decor is really cute and it's spacious in here. It's also easy to make a res ahead of time so I highly recommend that as there can be a wait if you just show spontaneously. Onto the food, I would say everything is good but nothing was particular standout for me. Maybe we ordered the wrong things but we got the: Seafood soondubu: generous amount of seafood and solid tofu but for me Cho dang gol is far superior Shortrib patties: great flavor, tender, no notes Perilla oil buckwheat noodle with bossam: very refreshing and love the herby perilla leaf flavor. Would probably slap more if it wasn't cold and rainy out. The buckwheat noodles are gluten free! Yukhoe bimbimbap: steak tartare but in bimbimbap form. It was ok, found the sauce to be lacking compared to other bimbimbap I had but beef quality was definitely good

I loved the banchan here. I've had banchan at many different Korean restaurants and kbbq places before but the banchan here is my favorite. I got the veggie soondubu and also tried the mushroom soondubu. Both were good but we both agreed that the mushroom soondubu was better. We also tried a few appetizers. The acorn jelly was unique but not much flavor. The tofu sesame salad was good. Well dressed with a sweet Asian sesame sauce. Our favorite appetizer was the Gamja-jeon. It was like a crispy potato pancake but combined with the soft chewy texture of sticky rice. The complimentary soybean ice cream they served for dessert had the perfect softserve texture. The interior is also nicely styled in a Japandi modern wood aesthetic. Nice tall ceilings and dark walls. I would definitely come back!

We were already impressed at the entrance seeing the grand decor. It was not your "standard" ma and pa Korean restaurant as everything looked sharp and modern. They accommodated our party of 6 easily. As soon as we were seated, one of the servers brought us each a small glass of their homemade soy milk. It was so smooth and creamy. Some of us went with the lunch combos, which are a great bargain. Galbi, spicy pork, and Kimchi soup were generously portioned. Bibimbap and cold noodles were beautifully presented with a fresh combo of protein and veggies. Their banchan was made with effort and delicacy as you can taste the crispness and freshness. Their white peach Makkoli is a must as it's in a slushy! Multiple servers took care of us and were attentive and refilling our banchan and barley tea. At the end of our meal, they brought us dubu ice cream. That sealed the deal, it was the perfect light ending to our meal. All of us were impressed with the food, service, and vibe of Dubu Haus. Thank you for the lovely meal.

Love the modern, elevated ambiance here! The warm tones and decor made the space feel so chic and the menu looked great across the board. I really appreciated the complimentary soy milk shot at the start of the meal and the soy soft serve at the end. Definitely had a lot of soy that day since I also ordered the kimchi & pork kongbiji but it was worth it. Very hearty and flavorful with a rich kimchi taste, and it was my first time trying this style of soup. While I liked it, I also tried some of my friend's tofu soup and honestly liked it much more. Definitely ordering that as my entree next time. Service was prompt and attentive throughout. The only small downside was the bathroom situation. Bathrooms were all clean individual rooms but I had multiple people aggressively jiggle my door handle trying to get in and push while I was inside. There are several bathrooms available so I was confused. I think some kind of occupied/vacant indicator on the door would help greatly. Bathroom mishap aside, I had a great experience here overall and enjoyed the food!

This restaurant is large and a great dinner spot for a nicer korean restaurant. We had a reservation, and the service and food was good. They gave a free soy milk drink, ban chan, and soft serve. The quality of the food is really good. I have been here a few times and the food is always good. My favorite item this time was the braised short rib!

This is for two different visits both lunch during the week. I was able to sit immediately and the service was good. The food was really amazing well seasoned with nice portions. Definitely my favorite tofu soup and the peach Makgeolli was delicious. Theres lots of seats and the dining area is very pretty. Theres a hallway of bathroom that are clean and have lovely smelling lotion and soap. When your sat they give a shot of soy milk which is smooth and lovely way to start the meal at the end they give you soy milk ice cream with misgaru powder and its nutty and sweet. The banchan you get is a nicr variety the dried seaweed is top notch I want to buy a container and eat it with rice. Both visits were wonderful and worth it. Definitely visit if in the area.

I just found my new favorite tofu house in Ktown! Dubu Haus specializes in dishes made from housemade tofu which they make fresh every day at the restaurant. After being seated, we were served complimentary soymilk freshly made and was thicker than I expected. I loved this concept since soymilk is the beginning stage of tofu making. We were served a nice assortment of banchans which they rotate so each time you come here, they will different. This was my first time seeing mushroom jelly. I asked for their most popular soondubu and it was the Prime Short Rib Soondubu and it did not disappoint. I also highly recommend ordering their 12-hour spicy braised prime short rib was so tender and flavorful. Don't let the size of the pot fool you, there was so much meat in here. For something light and refreshing, I also recommend trying their Perilla Oil Buckwheat Noodle with Bossam. We also had bossam as an appetizer. The pork belly is braised for 8 hours, thinly sliced and served with Napa cabbage, handmade Dubu, radish kimchi and are meant to all be wrapped together. At the end of the meal, everyone gets Dubu soft serve made of tofu, vanilla ice cream and bean powder and it was soo good! It looks modern and upscale inside and the service was exceptional so I was surprise to find the prices to be quite reasonable. This was my second time here and won't be my last!

100% recommend restaurant! Our friends mentioned this had the best sundubu that they had and we had to try it! It has a great price point - sundubu, rice, banchan, and soft serve at the end. Everything was delicious. We also tried the potato pajeon and my gosh, we loved!!! The ambiance was so luxurious and the service was amazing! They also have lunch specials that have out of this world deal. I would definitely come back for the food, ambiance, and service! I highly suggest making a reservation because it tends to be full!

My friend and I ordered cod fish jeon, perila oil buckwheet noodle w/ bossam, and marinated prime short rib combo. While waiting for the food, the waiter came out with a complimentary soy shot. This was just alright, but at least it was free. As for the food, their code fish jeon was pretty bland without the sauce and breaks easily. If you're like me and sometimes opt out of sauces, it's basically required here. Their prime short rib combo was a good portion and the short rib's flavor is pretty standard. The tofu stew part of that combo though was a little different than what I'd expect and was a little thicker than usual. I didn't enjoy it as much as other parts of the meal but it was still alright. I loved their perilla oil bucketwheat noodle though. It didn't come with much bossam but it was hands down the best thing we tried here and super delicious. At the end, we also got complimentary soy ice cream and while not everyone enjoys it, I ended up really liking it the more I ate it.

Great tofu stew! The vegetarian one was absolutely delicious. They have three side dishes that are shellfish free. The portions are very generous too considering the price. The tofu ice cream at the end is even included. However it's not vegan and does have dairy in it. Service was great. So big inside.

Made a reservation on a Friday night for dinner was able to get seated while waiting for another friend to get here. The inside is very spacious and has really innovative and cool looking interior. The servers are very helpful and patient when we were ordering. They have some lunch specials that look pretty good also. Their maekgoli drinks are really good. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

Really tasty and outstanding value for money. The meal started with a complimentary taste of soy milk, which was rich and nutty. For my meal, I had the veggie soondubu, which was spicy, hearty, and fully of a variety of vegetables and tofu. There was also a pretty wide array of delicious banchan - the cabbage kimchi and peppers were my two favorites, but they were all delicious. My partner enjoyed the seafood soondubu as well. The meal ended with a bit of soy milk soft serve ice cream with roasted soybean powder. This was creamy, toasty, and light, serving as the perfect end to the meal. The bill came to just over $50 for two people after tax and tip. The service was also very warm and attentive.

The effortless tranquility encourages you to slow down, enjoy the food, and get away from the everyday, hubbub. Their menu leans into fusion dishes with a nod to some of the classic home-style classics. Everything is presented with a refined, elevated touch. Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. There is also various banchan offered and this time, they were beyond kind enough to offer refills. The last time we were here, we ordered just as much food and they stated they normally did not offer refills, which I thought was very odd. With its casual bougie aesthetics, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite eateries in Fort Lee-lee, It beautifully blends Korean, Japanese, and American flavors in a way that feels both comforting and elevated. Needless to say, we will be back!

When we pulled up to the restaurant, we were informed there were a few levels. We went to the second floor and they were happy to accommodate us. We were rolling 6 deep and the booth was enough for us, but barely. In our party, majority of us wanted meat with the exception of 2 people only wanting shrimp and something else. We got the large beef combination platter which comes with ribeye, thin skirt, brisket, marinated kalbi, and marinated chuck flap. Most people stuck with water, while a couple got ginger ale. I ordered the soju flight but I ended up not liking it so my cousins shared it. The meal comes with different veggies as well as your choice of soup. We got the spicy tofu and split it 6 ways. The spice lived up to its name, so I didn't eat very much. The best part was meat. Despite there being 6 of us, there was plenty to go around. I think you have the option to cook it yourself or have them cook it for you and we chose the latter. While I enjoyed it, I wish there was more space. Most of the space was taken up by the accompaniments that come with it (veggies, etc), so there was hardly any room to put anything else. It didn't help that none of our dishes were cleared once we finished them and that no rice is included. Aside from that, both the food and service were great.
