Cute small business The prices here are not bad and the waitstaff were absolutely lovely when I came. The food came out fast and was exactly as pictured. But as someone whose favorite noodles are cold noodles, I'll say I was very disappointed in the taste. The broth had very little to no flavor, and though it wasn't bad - it was one of the worst cold noodles I had in my life. Adding vinegar and to mustard to this couldn't save it from it's mediocrity. The cucumber slice was frozen as well, ruining the texture of the lovely crunchy vegetable. I would only consider coming back due to the amazing service was amazing (shout out to the short, black haired, cashier girl). But I would definitely would not recommend the Naengmyeon to anyone.
This was close to my hotel so we stopped here for a meal on a recent trip to nyc. There is ample seating and the menu has many options to cater to most preferences. Service was friendly and quick. We got the beef broth noodles and they were excellent. Very flavorful broth and generous portions!

It seems like a choice, as there are ceiling fans going, but on a summer day with and open kitchen, it's a questionable choice. Seats are hard chairs and solid wood tables. Not a place where you'll linger. Service is friendly and efficient. No complaints. Food is satisfying. Large portions as advertised. And there's good quality. Lots of mussels and fresh shrimp, plus generic seafood mix in the spicy jjambong. Nangmyeon has a good chew, with a light broth and tasty goodies including brisket slice and pickled radish. It looks to be a good lunch option but the prices do average near $20. Truth be told, it's too pricey to be a regular lunch but the setting isn't quite nice enough to justify sit down prices. It's just caught in between.

There are many eateries whose names invoke an aunt or uncle as the keeper of age old recipes. In contrast, noona (누나) denotes more of an older sister - perhaps someone who has taken a more modern twist on the classics. On my first visit to Noona Noodles, I actually was more in the mood for a rice dish, and went with the classic bimbimbap. The gochujang sauce, mushrooms and tofu were all delicious - it was in fact one of the better versions I've had in recent years. It was a hot day, so the naengmyeon looked attractive but sadly is not vegetarian. There are however quite a few vegetarian ramen dishes on offer that I will try next time.

Really affordable Korean noodle soup spot! Everything is reasonably priced and the portion sizes are pretty large. They used to be in the food hall in k-town but now have a small store a few blocks away. I tried the Kalguksu which had a really tasty broth along with some brisket and noodles. Definitely hit the spot for a cold day!

I was looking for a bite to eat in k-town after a day wandering around the city, and I was intrigued by Noona Noodles. They had a vast selection of noodles displayed right outside their shop, and honestly, a nice hot bowl of noodles sounded like the perfect meal for a chillier day. The prices do seem a bit high, but once I received my bowl and saw the generous portion, I didn't mind the price! I ordered the bulgogi ramen. The beef itself was crispy and tasty. The dish also came with an assortment of veggies (carrots, scallions, radish, and kale). I asked for an egg to add as an extra. I expected to be poached, but I received it as hard-boiled - which is okay, just not what I expected. This place is great for a solo, sit-down meal. Service is also very kind and attentive - no matter how busy it got! I sat down, and my bowl was brought to my table. I was offered water once I sat down. Just note that it is a small space, so seating can be limited.

Returning to Noona, I decided to retry their jjampong, now priced at $18. The noodle soup remained relatively unchanged. The portion size was quite generous, and so too was the amount of seafood. Ample mussels, both head-on shell-on shrimp and peeled shrimp, as well as octopus, adorned the bowl. The soup was rich with stock and garlic aromatics. Notably, the smokiness of wok-sautéed vegetables (wok-hei / 鍋氣) was present as well. One glaring difference was the spice level. Despite ordering it spicy, it seemed mild to medium at best. I broke a sweat from the hot August day rather than from the spiciness.

Solid noodles, and really fast service, the staff was also super friendly. We got the Sticky Crispy Dumplings and Kalguksu, which both were fast and fantastic. The dumplings had a little bit of a kick to it, but still delicious. The broth was very hearty and it was steaming hot. I got the beef brisket, but I didn't really end up liking the texture inside the soup I thought it didn't really complement the noodles well. The noodles had great texture. Good spot for a quick lunch!

Fast and casual spot, minutes from Penn Station. It was a quick last minute spot for dinner before hopping on my train. The menu had all kinds of noodles, noodle soups and a variety of proteins. It was hard to decide - Korean rice cakes or noodle soup. Cold noodles or something savory like cheese ramyun and beef brisket with collagen. The staff was very welcoming and while we dined in, tip was optional. You order and pay at the counter and then pick a seat while you wait. Everything was served on a tray and the staff brought us the food. My Yelp Bestie Jo I. just happened on this spot while we were running around the city all day. We opted to try the fried chicken as an appetizer to share and each ordered noodles. One cold noodles with beef brisket and the other, sliced beef over beef broth with a hot soup base. We shared both and the soups in each were quite flavorful. Impressive for a fast, casual spot. For the food, totally worth a re-visit but I gave a lower score because they had not cleaned the restrooms and there were seats that were not clean. I'm guessing when they wiped the table, some of the debris got onto the seats. I had to clean it myself. (To be fair, I'm sure if I asked, they would've cleaned it or told me to sit elsewhere. It was an off time so I had a choice of where to sit more or less. The only other thing, they were trying to fix the lights or electrical in the rear of the restaurant so they asked me to change tables a few minutes after my food arrived). read more

Food was okay, not bad, not great. It hit the spot since it was wet out and it was right next to my hotel. Service was fast, there's a lot of young people behind the counter running the place. Ambiance was fluorescent light bright with steel bowls, a little sterile in some ways, but got the job done. Good for something fast and easy, but not the kind of place you wanna go and hang out for a while. Not a heavy Korean vibe, feels more fusiony. read more
Swung by for a quick bite and thought this was a great midtown find. This was my first time trying naengmyun or 'icy spicy soup'. The noodles stuck together a bit but the flavors were wonderful and I loved the cold broth. A very brown dish, it tastes much more flavorful than it looks. It hit a craving I didn't even know I had. Noona is fast casual counter service so you bus your own table. Bathroom was clean. Tight space during crowded times most likely but I loved the fresh flowers on the tables. read more

My friends and I came here on a whim after some karaoke a few streets down. The food did not disappoint. The portions were HUGE. A great value for what you pay for. You order at the counter and pay, and they will call your name or help bring your tray to your table. Lots of options to choose from - and you can customize your spice level for some of the dishes. They also have pickled radish, kimchi, and chili oil to help enhance the dishes. My friends and I were so surprised we've never come across this sooner and will definitely be back. read more
This spot started off as a hole in the wall in a food hall in K-town and my friend cried legitimate tears when she saw this placed had been removed. We then found out it's now a new restaurant with its own location in K town (rightfully deserved), according to my friend who raves about their okinomoyami (which is vegetarian) and their spicy ramen noodles. I got their icy spicy since it was a hot day and it was delicious! Though I wish that the price was lower for the amount you get and that it had shaved pear instead of radish, but it was still delicious! Really good spot for classic Korean noodle dishes. read more

Nice spot for different Korean noodle dishes in a casual setting. This is more of a spot for a quick bite than to go for the ambience since it is in a food court. Went with the udon and the broth, noodles, and shrimp tempura were perfectly cooked. The egg was hard boiled instead of poached though which was a little let done. Flavors were good otherwise and the workers were friendly. read more

I got the kimchi fried rice no egg and added kale mushrooms bok choy and shrimp with a hot tea and the canned grape soda, the fried rice was so savory! the veggies fresh the mushrooms tender the kale and bok expertly cooked and still crisp! the side of kimchi and pickled raddish was a great reprieve from the hot rice and mild spice from the dish! and the canned grape soda? 5/5 ! the cherry on top and then to find out there were pieces of grape in the can? next level! dinner and dessert all right there! Some places set themselves apart by getting hundreds of details right. My bimbimbap was full of generously proportioned fresh ingredients, delicious flavors and crisp condiments. I was so pleased and surprised that in a town where no one offers a for here cup for coffee, my bimbimbap was served to me in a substantial white ceramic bowl. Although it's the norm, nothing is more distasteful than hot food served in plastic. This little place is a cozy find in Koreatown. Looks like the locals know it. It's full at lunchtime. Noona Noodles is a tiny, chill spot with big flavor. I got the Icy Spicy. It's a spicy Korean buckwheat noodles (I can handle my spice and it has a kick), topped with beef slices, a hard-boiled egg, cucumber, and pickled radish. The noodles were chewy but easy to eat, and the dish was super refreshing and satisfying. Quiet vibes, friendly service, and it feels like a cozy mom-and-pop spot. Small space, big win. read more

I came here this restaurant with my friend and it was a hot summer day. The restaurant was quite small and I wasn't sure if there was a restroom. You order at the counter and wait for your order to be ready. We both ordered icy noodles and they that hit the spot! The bowl didn't look that big, but it was quite filling. I'm happy Noona moved to it's new location it feels like a Saturday night in here. Old school tables like it's the mid 00's. K pop playing from the speakers. Friendly young staff that's very helpful with picking something to eat. The seafood ramen bowl is plentiful and tasty. read more

When Noona was originally in Food Gallery I really wanted to try their cold noodles. So I came and brought a friend to try their food. I was really disappointed in their Icy Spicy. To be honest, I'm disappointed every time I come here. The ramen options look soooo good in the pictures but they just don't taste how you want them to. Ingredients are boring, service is fine, flavor is never what i'm expecting. I haven't tried much of the menu but so far I must've ordered wrong because I've been extremely unhappy. Yes, this place is great for vegans! The garden goddess salad is my favorite. You can also get the sweet heat noodle salad with no egg. These are just the ones that I've tried so far.
