Poor service, unavailable, menu items and mediocre food. The chicken noodle soup came out room temperature and in our opinion did not taste good. It had a heavy lemon taste. I ordered chicken and waffles from the brunch menu which was supposed to come with chicken breast but the server placed the order from main menu, which instead offered wings. The cook came from the kitchen with a very unfriendly demeanor to let me know that she already dropped the chicken and pretty much implied that I would be getting the wings as she already started cooking them. I informed her I will take the wings. However, I still ended up getting the chicken breast tenders. The server offered to make one of the guests, a custom drink, and it was very heavy with rum and was not mixed well as the drink separated shortly after receiving it. All guests ordered a meal from the brunch menu along with a glass of ginger ale. However, we were charged for the drinks, even though it was supposed to be unlimited with brunch. I did not catch that until I got home and realized the drinks were charged separately. (yes we were within the 90 minute limit.) Additionally, only three out of the four ginger ale's came out. She took so long to bring the last one that the guest just declined it as we were almost finished eating. One of the guests ordered French toast with sausage but received bacon instead she also ordered the macaroni and cheese with bacon at the same time and the server did not bring it out. She had to be reminded and he came out very late. The macaroni and cheese was not good. It had the appearance of being cooked in a rush. There were big pieces of bacon in it versus the typical smaller bits the cheese was very dry One of the guest ordered the snapper, but the server returned a few minutes later to inform us that they are out of snapper. Be aware that gratuity was automatically included for a party of four. That might explain the not so good service as there is no incentive to do better. read more

I visited Suite 36 Brunch & Bistro for the second time on Saturday, March 21st with a 2p reservation; however, we arrived around 1:50p. Given my first experience in February, was outstanding, I decided to bring a friend to experience the food. Firstly, I cannot rave enough about the food, 10/10, the chef is on point. This visit, I had the lambchops and grits, and my friend had the bacon fried rice. Excellent, no complaints. The 90 minute bottomless options, specifically, the cocount pineapple mimosa, perfection, no complaints. Secondly, while there was no DJ this time(first time there was and he was on point), the vibe was still nice and perfect for a Saturday brunch. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed with this second visit, as around 3:30pm we were asked to leave (we had a full carafe remianing of our bottomless mimosa, but was able to take it with us, so not a waste), as there was a private event in the afternoon/evening. I have no concerns with the restaurant renting for private events; however,I'd expect to be advised there is a time limit for seating when either making the reservation for that day or upon arrival to the restaurant. Not sure of the system limitations for reservations, but perhaps include a note for that day/time letting people know there is an earlier shut down. But, if that isn't an option, at the very least verbally advise of the private event and the shutdown, when the patrons physically arrive at the restaurant. This time, I made the reservation by phone a week earlier. Had I known they were planning to shut down to the public at a certain time, I would have altered the reservation to arrive earlier. Additionally, there were patrons who arrived after us, so their time was cut shorter. If not for the private event, there were empty tables, so we would not have needed to leave at that point to allow for other patrons to be seated. I plan to return as the food is exceptional, not over priced and worth additional visits; however, I want the owners to appreciate how it can be offputting to be asked to leave in that manner. Please be mindful in the future of cutting short the dining experience without prior communication. Other than that, this is a a great option for brunch! read more

Just left this spot, got there about 2:50, was seated right away, saw a waiter about 15 minutes. I ordered coffee and what came to the table was warm coffee, not hot, and the food came an hour (no exaggeration) later. Ordered salad and skirt steak, medium well but it well done when it came to the table, (although very tasty), husband ordered fried rice with turkey meat (it was okay but not $39.00 rice). All in all "my" experience wasn't a good one for me, and I will not be back. read more

If you love singing R&B, this is a good place to sit and relax with soft R&B music. I went on a Thursday night for my birthday. They did a shout out to the birthday people in there. There were mostly ladies on a Thursday night. James, the co owner, was there and was accommodating to everyone. Staff were lovely. The French fries were super delicious. They had a crunch to it. All the food was so good, it's one of those places you want to last a long time. Awesome decor with good music is a great start when you first walk in! Our waitress was new and she was still everything! The owner was cool and made sure we were happy but he honestly didn't have to try hard because everything was immaculate. I brought my sister in law who usually complains about everything and she didn't say a word she just bopped to the music and enjoyed her meal. The grits were so good and didn't need any salt or pepper, so good I reheated them when I got home and we grits eaters know that's a no no lol. Even the Shirley temple was made right. The lemon pepper wings were good, the sliders were also tasty & the drink was really good. I had a tequila sunrise. Someone said they have good fish & grits. I'm going to go back to try it. I've been there twice. The staff is very friendly and personable. I personally did not enjoy my chicken and waffles for the brunch. But my other 4 guests' food was delicious. I know because I was eating everyone's food. The manager and owner came over and checked on us personally. I liked that. On Thursday night there was a DJ. We enjoyed singing along to our favorite songs while sampling 1/2 the menu. The drinks were great too. Everything was so good. The atmosphere was very festive. A few owners were there and came by to say hello and introduce themselves. They were nice. They were gone before our food came so didn't get the chance to discuss. They didn't have the red velvet waffle so got buttermilk. It was dry and crumbly. Asked for butter to try and help it but it never came. The chicken was dry and stringy. Added a lobster tail which looked good but was ok. It needed salt and was not as moist and tender as I'd hoped because it was deep fried. Tried to split the little cup of butter that came with the lobster for the waffle but it wasn't near enough. The steak was salty but the potatoe hash was good. The atmosphere was nice very elegant t.vs inside that was showing the games there was a DJ playing r&b music and old school . The drinks was good so was the food. Bottomless mimosas for a certain amount of time that comes with food options you can choose from . The owner was very polite staff was very polite and attentive. Server Deandre was the best!! Very attentive, polite and professional. Now about the food. We had Lemon Pepper Wings, Bang Bang Shrimp, Lobster Bites and Salmon with Mashed Potatoes and Garlic Green Beans. All of our food was fresh and seasoned to perfection!! The vibe of the establishment was kept with the DJ spinning tunes to keep us entertained and engaged. As a DJ myself I have to say my brother DJ kept it real!!! Other patrons were having a great time and that's a plus as we engaged in conversation with others and had a ball!! I had a horrible experience there last night. From the minute my son and I walked in no one said hello and people were just hanging out at the host desk but I couldn't tell who actually worked there since no one would acknowledge us and we were right in front of them. Then someone else enters behind us and they were immediately greeted before us to get a table. One of the hostess literally looked right over us to greet them. And they were not asked if they had a reservation, they were walk ins just like us. I thought maybe we seat ourselves. Then one of the other hosts brings us to our table. The wait wasn't long but just unwelcoming, confusing and awkward. When we sit and the waiter comes to us, and is talking to us one of the hosts, that looked right past us upon arrival with the red hair and boots comes over to us with some table clothes in her hand and rudely comes in between the waiter and I and hands me the table clothes and nastily says "here put this on the table". I was shocked and speechless and gave the table cloth to the waiter who was also shocked and said " wow that was random". I was embarrassed because other guests took note. I should have left then but we had taken an uber there from Queens. When our order comes, we only get the meat portion of our orders and wait 30 mins for the sides. We ordered the lamb chops and wings, Mac, mash & overly priced honey biscuits. The people that sat next to us that arrived after we got there got their entire order and we're almost finished with theirs before we could even get all of our food. I told the waiter our meats are getting cold but he was busy making drinks and giving everyone else their orders. I mean we couldn't even get our simple drinks at the same time which were not even complicated, it was just a fruit punch and seltzer. Waiter gave my son his fruit punch an in his other hand had another fruit punch for the guest to the left of us that came in after and had already got their food before us. Once we had the complete order I told the waiter I seen that he was very busy and we normally don't complain but since our arrival everything was off. He agreed and said he would give us another order of whatever we wanted on the house, he even offered the lamb chops or wings. And I said since it was my sons bday and I wanted it to be special we chose the lamb chops. While all this was happening there were a lot of other guests celebrating their birthdays too and the hosts with the red hair and boots was going around giving the birthday people a free cupcake but she skipped over my table. Not once did she give me the chance to even ask and honestly I was afraid to ask since she was so unwelcoming. Then the waiter comes with our "make up" comp meal and it's chicken wings, all flats and cold. I told him we said lamb chops he said he heard wings and that was that! I paid $100 for cold subpar food and horrible service. I was the only Latina there and was left wondering if that was the issue. Ive never felt so unwelcome and uncomfortable in my life. A man with a bald head and navy blue sweatsuit, who may have been the owner or manager, came to the table that arrived after us and asked them if someone had taken their order and if they were good because they had waited a bit but not nearly as long as us, but no one ever checked on us. The whole situation was weird and I'd never go back and do not recommend at all. And food made my stomach hurt. read more
