Everything stated so fresh and delicious. The portions were large. The pastries were flaky. The baked goods were light and airy. It takes a lot of time and patience to make authentic French pastries. Something has changed in the last year. Nectar used to a "must eat" on our trips. Not any more.

So though the 'original' booths and counter stools were mostly taken, there appeared to be open tables in the new space. Service was sort of tag-team; whoever walked by and noticed that you needed something tried to take care of it. That is in no way a complaint - it was an efficient system. We all ordered and had a short wait for the food, given the volume of customers. When it arrived, everyone liked their platters. I had a cheese omelet, bacon, and hash browns. All were quite tasty. The coffee was good too. Prices were reasonable. I'm not much of a 'breakfast out' person at home, but if I were on HHI for any period of time, I'd definitely go back here.

You're more than likely have a good time, waitresses were friendly helpful when I'm back in town this will definitely be my go to spot.

Decently cheesy, but nothing particularly great. The takeout packaging was another disappointment. They used a Styrofoam container lined with paper. As you can imagine, the paper didn't stand a chance against wet grits; it broke apart completely, and I'm pretty sure I ended up ingesting some of it. A cardboard box would be a much better vessel since it doesn't require a paper lining (not to mention Styrofoam is terrible for both your health and the environment). I wouldn't recommend ordering these specific items, and I definitely wouldn't recommend getting takeout from here.

Duck Donuts is the kind of place that makes you question every donut you've ever eaten before. These things are made fresh to order... not pulled from a rack that's been sitting around since the previous presidential administration. Run to this place and don't waste a second wondering if it's worth it. The donuts are thick, moist, delicious cake donuts. Not those light, airy circles of disappointment from a place that rhymes with Shmunkin's. Every bite feels substantial... like you're eating an actual dessert instead of sweetened oxygen. You can customize them with a ridiculous number of frostings and toppings. And by "customize," I mostly mean they'll find creative ways to inject buttercream into things... which is exactly how I'd like my obituary to read. The two kids working behind the counter appeared to be family members of the owner, which was honestly adorable. The whole place has that family business charm where everyone seems genuinely happy to be there. I couldn't recommend this place any more highly. If you're on Hilton Head and don't stop at Duck Donuts, you've made a serious tactical error. read more

The service was exceptional, a perfect 10/10. The owner was incredibly kind, personable, and made our first visit memorable by gifting us a mini rubber duck. He took the time to explain how the store operates and even recommended his favorite donuts (definitely try the French Toast!). The service was prompt, and everything was prepared to perfection. The staff was highly respectful, addressing us as 'ma'am' and 'sir' throughout our visit, despite us being much younger than the owner and employees. As an added touch, we were given a complimentary plain donut to enjoy while we waited. I highly recommend this place to both locals and visitors alike--we'll certainly be returning and are already looking forward to it. read more

Wow! Such a great experience at Duck Doughnuts At Hilton Head! We showed up at 2:03pm not realizing they closed at 2. As we turned to walk away disappointed, Scott opened the door to greet us and ask what we were hoping to get. He and Judy then made us a batch of a dozen delicious assorted doughnuts.
