It's difficult to rate Duck Donuts because my rating completely depends on how quickly you eat the donut after it's made. If you're able to eat it right after coming off the conveyer after watching the donut decorated in front of you, then they are fantastic. However, the clock starts on the donuts once it's handed over. The longer you wait, the less enjoyable the pastry becomes. And if you purchase a dozen, the donuts that sit around for several hours before being eaten aren't that great at all. The donuts are colorful and I love the idea of a donut breakfast sandwich, but make sure not to wait too long before eating your donuts for the best flavor. What an intriguing business name and concept. We just had to try it out. In the past several years I have found myself avoiding donuts because they are usually too sweet & hurt my teeth or are too heavy feeling in my stomach and of course, wreck the healthy diet. That being said, I was weak and ate all of my donut instead of sharing with my husband as he suggested. Donut style: Cake ... Do not let anyone detour you with the 'they only serve cake donuts'. These are NOT your usual cake donuts. By the way, I think if you ordered one without frosting I think you would find the cake donut 'as light as air'. But I digress.. You customize your cake donut with your choice of frosting, topping & drizzle. Plenty of unique options. I told the Ryan (one if the owners) that I wish this place was on my way to work as I am very interested in trying the breakfast sandwiches and coffee drinks. He said to definitely come back and have one. His father-in-law comes most morning because they are just that good. Hmm ... might have to go soon on a non-work day!

donuts were delicious. We were there on Sunday, August 3 around 11 AM. There were two teens working behind the counter. The young man was polite and helpful; the young woman was diffident. We ordered our donuts with a minimum amount of conversation. Then we watched as our donuts got made. As we took our box of donuts to go sit outside, we realized there were no napkins. I observed to the girl that there were no napkins and she acted like she was going somewhere, but never brought back napkins. Then I asked the young man if we could get some napkins and he looked around a bit and came out with a package of napkins. We sat outside to eat, but had to clean our own table. Then went inside to dump our garbage, but both garbage cans were overflowing. There was a minimum amount of traffic while we were there. A group leaving as we came in and two teens arriving as we were leaving. The donuts were very good, but the ambience and service were subpar.

What a cute concept! Stopped in not knowing what I was walking into - and was absolutely blown away but the amount of donuts on the menu to choose so they are freshly made. I got the pumpkin spice and cinnamon swirl donut and both were made in a matter of minutes.

It was different! I am pretty basic when it comes to sweets - so I just tried this off of a recommendation. I ordered a glazed donut and added bacon...I also ordered another donut that had cinnamon and powdered sugar ( I think). To be honest I partially ate the glazed/bacon. Not that the taste was off, just that it was DIFFERENT! Sometimes different can be good. So I recommend at least trying the place out. I'm sure that the little ones will get a kick out of all the cute donut options

Excellent donuts. Try the bacon and maple, one of my favorites. Be patient. The wait is worth it and you get fresh hot donuts.

First time here and loved!…read more Here's what I ordered: Food: Salsa Verde Pork and Eggs- I cleaned my plate, no shame. The cilantro was super fresh, the pork was flavorful, and the potatoes tied it all together perfectly. Portion size was just right and the price felt fair for what you get. Coffee: Did the job, nothing fancy, but no complaints! Service: Fast and friendly, this place is cute and clean! Met up with friends for a brunch/lunch and this place was hoppin', service was still quick. This is a great mid work day sit-down lunch spot!

On this last visit I got the West Coast Omelet (bacon, onions, tomatoes, and cheese topped with a couple of avocado slices). It comes with a side of rosemary potatoes and an English muffin. I swapped the muffin for a biscuit. I had forgotten their biscuits are more similar to a cross between cornbread and cake. I'd prefer just a regular biscuit even though their style of biscuit is interesting. The omelet and biscuit was large. The rosemary potatoes are delicious and I'd have loved to have a bit more of them. I really enjoyed the omelet as well! I had to take about half of the omelet and biscuit to go. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because I think there dishes tend to be a bit more sweet and while I love sweet, if I'm eating savory, I'm picky about the sweetness. I think that is a personal preference and I'm sure some people love it. My server was Kat (Katerina) and she was great. Very patient and helpful. She happened to be my server both times I've been there! The restaurant is very clean with a comfortable, welcoming environment. It's always nice to see their messages of kindness. We could use a lot more of that these days! Cruelty seems to be in fashion now. It's refreshing to go somewhere promoting kindness! I'd go back just for that bit the service is outstanding and the food is really good!

They had patio seating which most people chose since it was a nice day. There were several diners inside as well. We chose the indoor seating. We were seated immediately, and our waitress was pleasant. I ordered a make your own breakfast meal. I had eggs, gluten-free blueberry, pancakes, and sausage patties. My husband had the corned beef hash meal. The breakfast came out and a reasonable time. My husband enjoyed his and they pride themselves on having a lot of homemade food. My food was good as well, except the sausage patties were slightly overcooked. The gluten-free pancakes were excellent and I'm so happy that they have them since not a lot of places have that choice. The restaurant is a homey atmosphere and it seemed like they had a lot of regulars. My husband used the restroom and I think that the men's restroom doubles as having some utility items in there like a mop and so forth. But he said there was a cabinet that had Styrofoam cups that were facing forward, which probably should not be in there. That is the only reason I gave it to four. We would definitely come back even though it is a little bit of a drive for us.

Tried the Texas Benny which was really good. The gravy was tasty but the potatoes weren't seasoned or salted. Also tried the Denver scrambler. I ordered with breakfast potatoes but ended up getting hash-browns but besides that it was good. They did fully butter my bread when I would've wanted the option on how much to apply. Also tried their horchata which didn't have as much cinnamon as I'm used too but still super yummy. There weren't many people here on a Sunday at 9 but they seemed to be running around while having one big party. I personally think it's a typical breakfast place and don't plan on coming back but it's nice to try at least once.

Our order came out pretty quickly, though another employee had to run out with something that was left out. About five minutes into the drive home, the restaurant called again--another item had been forgotten. I turned around and called when I got back. They offered a free drink, which we declined. At that point, the food was already cooling off, and we still had a 10-minute drive ahead, so waiting around for drinks didn't seem worth it. Mom got the Eggibirria Omelette and really liked it. I tried a bite and thought it was good too. A little too "wet" for me, but that's just personal taste. Now, about my order: The Mamba Burrito. It was big, and the spinach cheese dip was actually really good--though some of it leaked into the bag during our trips. My main issue is with the burrito itself. The menu says it's filled with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, chorizo, pico de gallo, and potatoes, topped with spinach cheese dip. That's not quite how I'd describe it. Honestly, it should say: "A giant flour tortilla filled with potatoes (and a few other things if you dig around enough)." The potatoes weren't just part of the mix--they were the mix. The eggs were barely noticeable, buried in what felt like a mountain of spuds. Bacon showed up in a few random flakes. The sausage and chorizo were there, but the chorizo was not a flavor I enjoyed and I usually love chorizo. And the pico? Maybe a spoonful, tops. To be blunt, I think I could've ordered two full-sized baked potatoes and still ended up with less potato than what was packed into that burrito. It was just too much--overwhelming and totally out of balance. I'm not saying I'd never go back; sometimes a place deserves a second shot. But with so many options out there, this one's not exactly high on my list for a return visit.
