Bruu Cafe is my new favorite Boba place in Kansas City area. I've been trying many Boba places around the greater KC area and I like Bruu the best because of their selection, freshness, taste, and seasonal menu items. Bruu is located at a nice environment with relaxing chairs and a fun swing too. We ordered at a Kiosk and received our drinks 5 minutes later. They usually have something new like Butterbeer or Mangos. Favorites so far are the Crème Brûlée Milk Tea and Butterbeer with Crystal Boba. The Butterbeer is just as good as the one at Universal's Wizarding World. Their Milk Bread and Mochi Donut Ball went well with the drinks, we usually order one of their desserts.
Cute shop. Fast service. Very sweet drinks. I would go again and try something else and lower the sugar a lot :)
I came here because of the high Yelp ratings, but honestly, I have no idea how this place earned them. If you're expecting real, quality boba drink--this isn't it. I ordered the matcha green tea cheese macchiato drink, exactly as described on the menu. It came out lukewarm, extremely bitter, and totally unpleasant. I asked if they could add more sugar--it helped a little, but it still tasted nasty. I can taste matcha powder. When I asked if they could remake it or let me switch to another drink, they refused. We also got a Thai tea, and it was little better but that was another letdown. It lacked sweetness and had barely any Thai tea flavor--just a weak, watered-down version of what it should be. Disappointing experience all around. I don't recommend this place if you know what good boba is supposed to taste like.
It was my first time visiting this location. It looked small from the outside but it was quite spacious on the inside. I love this location specially because of the ambiance and atmosphere. Upon entering, you order on a kiosk up front. Next, after placing your order you'll receive a receipt with your order along with a number. Then, you're welcome to find a seat at any of the open seating options which are always nice and clean. After that, they'll either call your number or they'll come find you in the dining area and bring you your order! It was a super nice and convenient process and I enjoyed sitting down in the open area and using their free wifi to browse on my laptop and work on some work related projects. In addition, the Taiwan Toast was super delicious and exactly the kind of sweet treat I needed that day to help me focus on my work. Would definitely recommend this place and location specifically if you're looking for a nice treat and good place to hangout.
Bruu is a pretty great experience overall! The menu offers a wide variety of drink options, from classic milk teas to creative fruit blends, and there were plenty of toppings to customize your order. All drinks can have their sugar levels adjusted as well. Upon entering, there is a kiosk at the front to order your drinks. The space itself is very open and inviting, with a descent amount of seating. I tried their Pine Berry Earl Grey Bliss and the Thai Iced Coffee. The tea was refreshing and had a good balance of the earl grey and berry flavor. The Thai iced coffee was not bad. Service was fast and friendly!
The royal premium milk tea just ok. Boba has no flavor. And the sakura milk tea is not really pleasant flavor.
Located in Overland Park's outdoor plaza, Park's Place, Bruu offers the PERFECT cup of milky goodness. Their royal milk tea with light boba (bubbles) is still my all time favorite. It's been a few since my last review of their grand opening, and I can say after numerous visits, this boba place is still byfar the best in town!
Bruù Cafe is so good! I stop by this location whenever I'm near the Leawood Town Center. You order at a kiosk. There are pictures included to give you a better idea on what you're getting if you're not as familiar. The service is always quick. The interior is nicely decorated and well kept. I usually find a spot to sit and sip on my tea for a little while before heading out and taking the rest to go. There's plenty of variety and also seasonal options. I love the Signature Royal Milk Tea. It's amazing and the boba are perfectly soft and chewy!

Their Italian soda options and fruit tea options under "refreshing me" are probably my favorite. I also appreciate how they have a few kid-friendly options that are a smaller size + caffeine free, which I sometimes get if it's later in the evening. All the drinks hit the spot when I need a refreshing, sweet drink. There's only one self-serve kiosk to order from, but the employees are super helpful if there any questions. Love the interior, especially the fun swing and boba plushies. There is a decent amount of seating both indoor and outdoor, and Park Place itself has plenty of benches/seating throughout the area. Really nice location for Bruú!
Best boba I've had in the Midwest! My daughter got the signature milk tea and I got the pumpkin brûlée. Both were delicious! There was only one person at the location. The cashier went super friendly but she was fast. They have a cute Instagramable swing in there.
Service: they prompt you to order at the kiosk. Drink: I love how they had so many options and seasonal menus to try! I got the matcha latte with 75% sweetness for $7 (pricey for a drink). The drink was grainy and was not mixed thoroughly. I was a bit disappointed with the texture of the boba as it tasted old and not fresh. Ambiance: cute and aesthetic boba cafe. I would come back for the vibe of the cafe to meet with friends, but not for the drinks.
In terms of location and ambiance this place is very cute. It's located in a strip of busy restaurants but is sufficient to find parking easily as there is a parking garage close by too. I got the taro milk tea and got it at 50 percent sweetness. Even at that it was pretty sweet but so good. This place is new and I'd recommend it.
Bruu offers plenty of variety with Bubble or without and choosing your sweetness on your drink. There's only way to order for non cash and that's a kiosk. I'm guessing this is meant to streamline the process so they can focus on making orders; however as each customer studies the menu.. you could be in line awhile. I was behind two separate groups and the wait to order as they paged through the kiosk choices was about 8 mins. I tried the Horlic latte with no bubble. Prior to a healthy stir it tasted delicious then upon stirring it became bland and not appealing. My sweetness was 75% read more
Thai is a cute boba cafe located closed by the shopping mall in the same city . It has many type of yeas to choose from : fruit tea , milk tea , coffee and many jelly types of toppings to be added to your drink . Service is fast and convenient. Inside decoration are cute . A swing chair to take photos . It is comfortable and quite to enjoy your drink indoor. read more

The place is gorgeous, they have the best Boba tea in town! Everything is soooo good! I tried the Espresso Fresh Milk Brown Sugar for the first time and OMG it's the best! The perfect sweet balance and amazing taste! They have the best nice staff! Loooove this place! read more

My favorite boba shop has expanded to the Kansas side! I was able to experience their soft opening a few times now. Their drinks 10/10. This new location is very spacious if you ever need a place to get some work done! They have a kiosk machine where you order your drinks when you first walk in. The staff is friendly and are always there to answer any questions you may have on their menu. I'm so excited to come back and get more boba from here!!!! read more
Absolutely love the interior design -- very modern, spacious, and trendy. A perfect place to relax and get a drink! Bruu Taiwan Toast 10/10 - wow, this is the best toast I've ever had - a must get dessert for your sweet tooth - perfectly toasted but still soft and creamy Hojicha Milk Tea 6/10 - first time trying this tea, but I wasn't a big fan - I wasn't expecting it to be very grainy Service was friendly and quick here! Still a 5/5 since I chose a new drink than my usual. Would definitely come back again if I'm in the area! read more

I was in the mood for some boba milk tea, more specifically, the honeydew boba milk tea. The lactation is nice, and it just opened. We noticed the grand opening sign when we walked up. The only picky thing I have is that in order to place an order, it must be done at the kiosk, right in front of the counter. I am not a fan of kiosk because a kiosk won't answer questions that could customer service would normally, especially for a place in which you aren't familiar with what's offered. I took a chance and ordered the honeydew niu niu latte, and my husband ordered the Thai iced coffee. I have no idea what the niu niu is, or whether that made anything sweet, since the kiosk didn't answer me, but I ordered it half sweet, and for those who are sweet sensitive I would recommend ordering this drink at 25% sweet. My husband, on the other hand, ordered his drink half sweet, but would choose it 75% sweet next time. There is a few drinks I will try the next time I come by. read more

I'm always happy to see more boba places around. The store is spacious and bright, with plenty of room to sit. Staff is always friendly. Bruu has some drink recipes not found at others which makes it worth dropping in when I'm in the area. If it's busy, there's usually not enough staff (or maybe machines) to keep up with the orders so there's a little bit of a wait. Usually, it doesn't deter me unless I need to get somewhere after. read more
I love this new location!! Tucked in the little shopping plaza, it is so spacious and cute. Bruu cafe has amazing decor and this new store is nothing short of that. Bruu is definitely up there in terms of best boba shops in KC - there are self-order kiosks and drinks come out pretty fast. read more

This is a cute little Boba Shop! Instagram Ready. The Boba is decent. A++++ for Variety!!! LOTS of flavor combos and plenty established creations from the menu to choose from! We ordered our drinks the "maximum sweetness" available to be ordered and while it was sweet in one way- it didn't seem to hit our sweet spot. But don't skip this place, give it a try a couple times. We'll be in again to try some other flavors. Price is between 5.50-7.50 per cup which is reasonable compared to some of these other boba places in Overland Park. Didnt rate service since you order from a kiosk. I'll also mention that there is only 1 kiosk that I recall so if there is any sort of crowd, you might end up waiting. read more
Beyond such an aesthetic and spotless boba location! Also along a really nice shopping center that had urban, clean vibes. The interior is super appealing and modern. Love the addition of the swing, was not crowded, and the staff were kind! Ordered myself the Hazelnut Milk tea with almond milk and boba - personally I am a matcha lover and was not a big fan but the bobas were soft and chewy. Also got the Bruu Taiwan Toast - extremely delicious! It just melts. Also sweet due to the sauce and condensed milk but it was mouthwatering! Would totally recommend this. 9.5/10 would totally come back for the toast and to try a different flavored drink! read more

Met the owner on opening day. I love the 2024 kiosk order system that is fluid to using Apple Pay and allows a customer to customize the order detailed to his or her choice of preferences to level of sugar. Being with a stab of a straw stimulated your ears for an anticipated curiosity to an oversized straw sure to suck up the milk tea and hopefully not choke on a tapioca boba ball! 10/10 each time. The location is in Leawood, KS Park Place. The Country Club plaza area is going to provide the same conditions and expectations. Thank you! read more
My favorite boba tea shop has opened a second in Kansas. It's still too far from me. This new location is very spacious and modern with many photo ops. The boba drinks and services are 10/10. They made the best taro latte. I will definitely check it out when I'm in the area. read more

So I did a thing today...I had my first bubble tea. Lol and it was AMAZING!!! I got a Fresh Milk Cream Brulee @ Bruu. I would definitely recommend and they have so many great options. I will be back for sure! read more

The Banoffee Toast was amazing. My Mocha Double Rich tasted like S'Mores. The service is good, but kiosk based. Just step up to screen and tap in your own order. It is absolutely gorgeous in here. Very clean. Very quiet. Touch of paradise hidden in Leawood. read more
Bruu opened a second location , where tloft used to be. The decor and ambience is top notch, so bright and modern looking! Their boba is one of the best in kc, love all the different options. To accommodate the lines better, they should have a second kiosk for ordering. read more
