Have been several times. You can customize to a point the only cake donut they make. Its a wait because they make your toppings after you order. It can be a bit confusing using their order sheet so we just tell the counter person what we want. Very little seating, do have a restroom and sell tshirts if thats your thing. read more

Staff is always friends and doughnuts are great. My kids love how they can create their own doughnuts and the price can't be beat!

These donuts are just so good. Got the glazed, vanilla icing and strawberry icing, just amazing can't say any more.

I'm giving it three stars simply because the customer service was garbage, but the donuts defiantly make up for it.

You can never go wrong with fresh warm donuts! My favorite here is the Maple flavored icing and it just melts in your mouth!

Don't get these doughnuts to go--just eat them moments out of the fryer. I tried the "French toast" doughnut with caramel drizzle. The inside is almost a custard texture, and the outside is slightly crispy. The order was ready very quickly and the staff was friendly. read more

This business just opened around a week ago so they are still very new and I imagine have a few kinks to iron out. First off, the donuts are wonderful, so I would rate those 5 stars. It's probably the best cake donut I have had and I really like that you get them fresh when you order. I have been three times so far and have found a few issues, though, mostly with the service. The first time I went was last Friday morning and the line wasn't too bad. We were in and out within about 15 minutes. This is when I first noticed the coffee issue, though. They had three containers out on the table. One Pumpkin (that was empty and never got refilled or checked when we were there) one Decaf and a Dark roast. The only choice was dark since decaf defeats the purpose for me and it was just ok. I'm a coffee lover and I found the dark roast to be very average. We went again Satuday and it got worse. It took about 35 minutes to get in and out, which is understandable since they just opened and that's fine. This time they had Pumpkin, Decaf, Dark and Light (the Lighthouse blend). Well, Light was out completely. I saw them brewing a new container of it behind the counter and figured they would put it out, but when we had been there going on 30 minutes they still hadn't so I had to go up and ask if they could fill my cup with it. Another lady did the same and they were confused at first, but then did it. The Lighthouse blend is great. Sunday was the least enjoyable experience out of all three. We were there again for about 35 minutes and all of the coffee containers were at the very bottom. I would say about a quarter left in them. Being extremely busy, no one in that entire 35 minutes came to check on them and brew more. Someone should be designated to check the coffee at least every half hour I would think. The Lighthouse blend that I got was not fresh and again, being someone that loves coffee, it was really disappointing. I don't just want mildly warm old coffee. Fresh makes a huge difference. It's like the difference between a cake donut from Dunkin Donuts and one from Duck. It's on a different level. I also noticed a couple of issues in the making of the donuts process. I ordered 2 and a lady was behind me that ordered 2 dozen. She got her order first. Also, watching one of the young girls making the orders off to the side, she had three orders going at once, doing some from each box. Wouldn't it be a better idea to do one at a time so you can get the customer out of the store since it's so extremely busy, instead of doing three at a time and not getting any customers out until you finish with all of them? I realize this stuff might be somewhat nit-picking. It just upsets me that I only have a 33% chance of getting fresh coffee when I go in, though. I wish they kept up on the coffee area more. Also, the coffee area is right in the line of people and it is in a bad spot. There are poles with ropes that should be moved out about a foot so you don't have to fight to get in there and get a cup. That, or move the coffee station to over where the t-shirts are. Just out of the way of all your customers in line. So, all in all - Donuts are great - Coffee station needs to be kept up more. Prepare to be in there 30-40 minutes on a weekend morning. read more

Went here in an attempt to support a coffee shop other than Starbucks. Ordered an Americano, took one sniff and threw it out. It smelled like a old sock. Starbucks wins out. Donuts may be good here, but skip the coffee! read more

I've been to the one in fairfax. I was one of the only people there and it took forever. The donuts were already cold and usually they ask if they were good before closing the box but nothing was asked to me. I was expecting more and faster service especially on a slow day. These donuts are worth the wait in a long line! A dozen of these pastries last no longer than 2 days in the household because they are so delicious! I'm usually not a fan of frosted coated donuts, but I think because these are freshly made, that makes it 100x better! It pains me and is disappointing to have to write this review because the donuts are delicious. That being said, I went to Duck Donuts today and at the time I walked in there were relatively few people. There were two people who ordered before me and about three people after me. I placed my order. After waiting for 15min and watching them make the orders of the three people that came in after me and the two people before I asked the girl behind the counter about my order and she said it was because their orders were smaller that they made their orders first. Let me put this in perspective. I ordered 6 donuts, the man before me ordered four and each of the 3 people after me ordered 3 each, so the time it took to make 9 donuts, they could have made my 6. 3 of the six I ordered were glaze with sprinkles, which took less than 2 minutes to prepare. The other three have different sprinkles. It was nothing complicated. This brings me to my second issue, while making the other three donuts, one of gentleman there was filling one of the topping containers with water, the water from the outside and bottom of the container dripped all over my donuts. They gave them to me as if nothing happened. I'm sorry but dirty water on my donuts is not acceptable and unsanitary . So the combination of the dirty water on my donuts and the waiting while other people after me got their orders is too much and made for a bad experience.
