Had an enjoyable time at Duckies! I was initially confused because my gps took me to the back of the building but around the corner is where there red/orange wall is. They have a very large space that looks like it gets lively. We were greeted with a warm welcome. My friend needed a modification to her bagel and they were accommodating (df). I got their breakfast bagel and I liked my bagel. They said they cook their eggs with butter. I thought the overall bagel was a little too oily for me. Next time I'd like to try their other options. We've been waiting for a good bagel shop in OKC, and this is a good addition. We came during their opening day but they were sold out, so we finally made it back. The space is bright, welcoming, and very busy. Ordering was a bit confusing at first since food is ordered at the "grab and go" line and drinks at the "dine in" sign. We were hoping for a quick stop since we had errands to run before heading out of town, but our order took about 20 minutes. I ordered the Locksmith (lox) -- pricey at $18 -- but the salmon was fresh, not overly salty, and they didn't skimp. The everything bagel was flavorful but a bit soggy and not the softest. Got the mortgage payment on an everything bagel and a jalapeño cheddar bagel with jalapeno popper cream cheese, can absolutely taste the freshness to all the ingredients and the bagels, everything bagel tasted fantastic, the lettuce, tomato, avocado and chilli crisp cream cheese on the mortgage payment blended so well, tomato was crunchy and juicy and overall just such great taste. I got the bacon and egg sandwich on a pumpernickel bagel. Overall, it was a delicious breakfast sandwich. They got the little things right by toasting and buttering the bagel, making the bacon extra crispy, and not stuffing the sandwich too full. Also glad that you can order it without cheese. I went here with some friends on a Saturday morning. We had trouble finding where to park. The address is on Klein Avenue, but the parking lot is only accessible from NW 2nd Street. The best way to get there is by turning left (west) from Western Avenue. The dining area is larger than it looks from the outside. Lots of tables and chairs in the main dining room. We took advantage of the lounge area in the back of the building near the restrooms and cleaning closet. If you've ever been to the goose then you already know the vibe in this place. Very cool and laid-back but they are very serious about what they put on your plate and the drinks that they serve. Loved my "But Daddy I Love Him" cocktail and my husband and I tried the Firequacker extra spicy and the Outlaw. Both were AMAZING! OMG! A must try. We were invited to their soft opening and we got to try the 'fishin In the dark", "Kalamata mama", and the "sunshine stacker". I only ever do reviews if the food is insanely good or insanely bad.. unfortunately this experience was soo bad. My gf and I were so excited to try this new spot as we love a good bagel sandwich. The bagel sandwiches were hard as rock, could barely bite or chew them. The flavor in the bagels were decent (ordered everything & salt), but unfortunately couldn't enjoy them. I understand it's "wood fired" but the eggs were actually burnt and flavorless. The prices are insane.. this is Oklahoma.. to sell burnt bagels for $20 is insane. I didn't know it could get worse than "Old School Bagel" but I was proven wrong. All around very disappointed as we had really high hopes for this new place. Duckie's unfortunately was a no for me. I was very excited about getting a new bagel place knowing that OKC doesn't have many options for bagels. That still stands true. My husband got a grab and go breakfast bagel sandwich, I got the everything bagel with chive smear. The bacon egg and cheese breakfast bagel was almost inedible. It was tough to bite through, with a dry, rubbery texture. Chewing became exhausting. It was also very bland. I don't know if it had to do with the fact that it was pre-made for grab and go service? But 1/10. I will say the everything bagel was better than the sandwich. But $2 extra for a very thin layer of smear was ridiculous. I was expecting NY style. It was my fault for hyping myself up about this place, along with some of the reviews. 3.5/10. The place itself looks pretty cool. I won't be returning for the food. Got the Loxsmith and Pastrami Outlaw. The salmon on both was very good and generous portions, but the bagels were too tough. They advertise that they make their bagels fresh everyday but that didn't seem like the case. And the coffee was.... Not good. It was my first and would probably be my last time dining here. First of all, the food - bagels are stale and hard as a rock. Taste is underwhelming. I have been to many NY and NJ bagel shops and these are just no where near the quality and taste. Service is not good. I found the person at the cash register a bit pompous when he was answering our questions regarding the menu with statements like "Well, we are a bagel shop". Well, excuse me, sir, for not being well versed with the different bagel sandwiches and if I was wondering if you offered other types of food, too! Coffee was lukewarm. It took forever to get our orders (over 20 min) even though we were the only ordering customers who came in at 3 pm (others were already seated with their food). You can see the kitchen staff making our food and just placing it over the counter. We were not sure if it was ours because our round buzzer thingy was not buzzing yet. Then finally one staff from the opposite end of the shop saw the food that was getting cold and went across to the kitchen counter, pressed a button, then viola...our buzzer finally went off.
