Chicken fried steak, home fries, and over med egg

Busy place Quaint Seat was available when we arrived (although it needed some wiping down). Staff was quick to get drink order (fairly slow on refills) Food was great Prices were very reasonable

Ham & cheese omelette, hash browns and biscuit

It's a small but popular spot for breakfast and lunch. The servers are hopping to get everyone served in a timely fashion. I had the ham & cheese omelette. It was ok, but not as cheesy as usual and the ham was diced so tiny that it was a bit hard to eat as it fell out of the omelette (see photo) the biscuit was huge and hash browns were my favorite. They have Coke products but no Coke Zero.

The quintessential best breakfast joint. I was in town for two days recently and ate here two days. The staff is fun, attentive and friendly. Our server had a great sense of humor too. The food was all super tasty and the portions were huge. I got the Philly steak omelette one day and that was so good I got the chicken Philly omelette the next day. To keep that much meat, veg and cheese in an omelette is an art. Mad props to the cooks for their technique. I know it's no easy task. The coffee was so good. It definitely had a flavor that was rich and nostalgic, finding out it was folders and tasted so good let me know I can hopefully make a pot like that at home. Coffee goals! Still can't believe it was a simple brand that tasted like the perfect cup you crave. If I were to pick my favorite diner I've been to in Florida, this one now takes the top spot. The live oak trees that surround this building are absolutely breathtaking. Plus it's also really fun to tell your friends we're going to the Dam Diner. :D

    Beautiful old school country food.

We were on their bottom floor patio (which was lovely) but I did spy that they have a rooftop patio as well (what's not to love?!?). Everything from the food to the cocktails to the service was exemplary. For my cocktail I got their Old Colonel's Smoking Gun which was their twist on an old fashioned and was delightful. For my entree, I got their salmon entree. It's glazed and comes with a size of their crispy brussels and cheesy grits. The brussels were delish and their cheesy grits rank among some of the best I've had with sharp cheddar giving them the perfect flavor kick. The atmosphere was so pleasant. It's definitely the sort of spot you'll feel tempted to linger. Get to it!

Would definitely get another flavor to try next time. Got the honey chicken sandwich. It was big and flavorful. Not spicy. The fries are yummy. But when I first visited Harry and the Natives about 6 months ago I realized this place was different. Now, I can honestly say it's a place 'I look forward to' vs. a lot of The Villages food options which are 'places i settle for'. Pricing is fair for the quality you get. The drinks are Tiki inspired and delicious (I highly recommend the Village Dodo) and you can tell they pride themselves of freshness and quality. They have some of the best crab cakes I've ever had, a bit pricey but they are almost 100% crab (almost not binder/filler) and if you know the price of crab these days you'd understand the pricing. For me, a Village Dodo drink, Filet Mignon medium rare 'surf and turf' style with a crab cake, and creamed spinach side served outside with the tiki torches blaring is near perfection in a meal.

My mom was out of town so my dad and I went for an early Father's Day celebration. Unfortunately, it was one of the kitchen's off nights as the calamari which is normally cooked perfectly came out rubbery and overdone. Wait staff offered to have the kitchen remake it but my dad wasn't sure it would come out any better the second time, depending on how the kitchen was timing or judging the cook. He opted to get the voodoo pasta which I had ordered as well. The chicken in the voodoo pasta was also overdone and on the chewy side due. Pasta sauce was definitely bland in comparison to the sauce from a special the week prior that our same waiter had said was actually the voodoo sauce. Sad that nothing came out how we'd hoped, especially on a celebration day. One last note for readers: the dining room to the back right of the restaurant is extremely loud and hard to hear even those you are dining with, regardless of the number of tables filled.

It was a cold day and we were looking forward to some Colombian cuisine which was new to us. The place was easy to overlook as the signage didn't really stand out. And more construction is ongoing along Hwy 301 further obscuring visibility into this location. In any case, this is not a "sit down" restaurant as we had to place our order before sitting down. We previously checked out the menu online so we pretty much knew what we wanted to order. I ordered the Paisa Bowl ($17) and my wife tried their Steak and Papas bowl ($20). We also ordered French fries ($3.50) and a can of Coke Zero ($2.50). I thought service was a tad slow (there were maybe 5 tables occupied including us) but we were served our lunch soon enough. Our first impressions were good presentation but the portions were meager. The fried pork belly pieces were nice and crunchy but there weren't enough of them. The ground beef had good flavors and I liked the fried egg over the rice and beans. My wife liked the flavor of the beef, although a bit fatty for her taste, but found the potatoes a bit dry and wished they were French fries instead. Speaking of French fries, it was served with this savory dipping sauce but again, the serving portion was miserly. My wife thought the guacamole was nice and fresh, making it the best part of her meal. All in all, we came away liking the flavors but thinking the value and portions were lacking. Service was a bit detached as well. Lunch for 2 with tip came out to just over $51.

When finally seated the last slices of cake had gone. The owner assured me there was one more cake being delivered in about 15 minutes, so I sat with my family and we ordered a light lunch. As frequenters of their Dade City location Green Door on 8th, we were excited to see how this spot compared. I am happy to report that it maintains the same high standard while offering a unique charm of its own. The ambiance was cozy, providing an intimate and welcoming atmosphere that felt special for the holiday. Our server, Delaney, was outstanding. She was attentive, personable, and ensured that her timing was perfect throughout our dining experience. We started our evening with the smoked gouda, one of our favorite appetizers, and a round of their red sangria. The gouda was rich and flavorful, and the sangria was perfectly balanced--a great start to the meal. For our main courses, my wife ordered the shrimp and grits, which was prepared beautifully. My wife reported there was a definite spicy kick to the sauce. I opted for the evening's special, a bison ribeye served with "cowboy butter" and creamy mashed potatoes and smoked brussel sprouts as sides. The bison was cooked to perfection (medium rare), and the smokiness of the sprouts added a fantastic depth to the dish. We were too full to eat dessert at the table, so we took a slice of chocolate cake to-go. Whether you are a regular from Dade City or a Brooksville local, this location is a must-visit.
