Made an appointment with these guys via their coupon. We have a single zone heating system and like ALL duct systems we have the main line and the return line. As soon as the tech came into the basement he saw the return line and said they're gonna charge you another $200 for this". He was very apologetic and nice about the entire situation, a consummate professional, but the simple fact is this place was never going to adhere to the coupon price. I needed my ducts cleaned after moving into a new home. Time time window was 3-5pm, I received a call from the technician stating he was 10min away and needed to stop for lynx so he would be there soon....it took him almost an hour to arrive. when he arrived the HVAC system as working, when he left it was not. he suggested changing the batteries in the thermostat....really? after that didn't work he said he was go to call his supervisor, I got a call from the tech (who had since left) saying a supervisor would call the next day, leaving me without any HVAC. next day...no call. I called the following day explained the situation and was told I would be a priority since I was a "no cool" situation. I called 3 more times over 3.5hrs trying to get someone. I finally spoke with Tim a field manager who asked for photos, in the interm I had my HVAC company out, turns out the tech cut a hole in my "return" for the inspection...it wasn't a return, the piece he cut was not even part of the HVAC system, it was a wire chase and he cut through the thermostat wiring. It needed to be rerun. I sent off photos of the damage and hvac report to Tim who would get back to me "later today or tomorrow". Surprise tomorrow came and went no call. I will be contacting out family attorney for a small claims court case, HVAC service and Duct Dogs service $500. Absolutely DO NOT THIS COMPANY. Our technician was polite and professional. However, the woman who booked our appointment gave us an incorrect (lower) price and said the job would be complete in 1.5 hours. It was finished in 4.5 hours. The booking agent should have asked more questions to properly assess and price the job. I assume the ducts were cleaned, but I can't see inside and I did not find the photos particularly helpful. However, there were dust, crumbs, and ceiling plaster bits around each vent which I had to clean up after the technician left. One of the flaps on the outdoor dryer vent cover was broken, we will have to replace it. I will call another company when I need to do this again in five years. read more

We were calling different air duct cleaners and we finally ended up on Duct Dogs, not at all disappointed. the air ducts looks clean, and the home now feels fresh after the cleanup. Found them through Home Advisor. In under two hours, they called me three times (didn't leave a voicemail), sent an email, and then sent me a lengthy text (which was the same as the email). I don't appreciate the heavy-handed sales tactics. I called them back to complain and the guy I spoke to agreed it was aggressive and apologized for the 'harassment.' I wasn't satisfied at all, the guy who came out was pretty honest with me. He first had a problem with the compressor, then his vacuum did not work at all, i had to lone him my vacuum to clean up afterwards, which was left with lots of dust on the floors. I personally did not like the system they use, a small hose with a propeller like object on the end which i think does not suck up to much dust. I've seen other companies online the blow out the system from beginning to end of the duct vents. I personally wouldn't use them again. read more

It was a coupon for a regular residential cleaning that was normally 289.99 for 59.99. Main issues: 1.) Company rescheduled 2 times. 2.) Company was still late missing the window they stated. 3.) The estimate they gave at the house was for $1000.00 ....10 time more than the coupon. 4.) (They had 4 different priced deals and a different deal on their website). The phone number didn't work.... so I e-mailed them and they called me right back within 5 minutes, so I thought that was good service. The woman stated the $49 Living Social would be exactly what I need for my condo to get the vents cleaned, the dryer vent cleaned and the furnace checked. I had my dad come over so I wasn't alone during the service, and I'm SO glad he was there to try to argue for me, but I still didn't get what I paid for. He did show up within the window (It was 2-4 and he came at 3). That's the ONLY thing he did right. He was rude, unprofessional, and not trained properly. The man showed up in a van (which didn't seem equipped with the hoses you normally use for the vents) I gave him my Living Social and asked me to show him my vents, which I did. Then he started writing me a bill, for $140 extra! I said I just wanted what the deal offered and he claimed he could not "just" do that. After back and forth arguing he actually yelled to me dad to "let me finish. let me finish" ... seriously? You're in someone else's home, don't raise your voice. I get this done every year so I know he was trying to upsell things that were NOT necessary. Long story short, he didn't clean the vents. I told him I should get something for what I paid, so I told him to clean the dryer vent which was supposed to be included. It took him 5 minutes, with a little brush. How come other companies have used vacuums and other heavy duty equip for 30 minutes... so I'm not sure he "cleaned" anything. He was going to leave, and I said... "I was supposed to get a furnace check included too", so he reluctantly agreed. My dad was watching him and after 5 minutes goes "don't you now you need to turn the furnace on to check it and check the gas...??" Yeah. Also, every time I've had a furnace check from Aillo or elsewhere, they give me a writeup that it's safe/unsafe/what they checked and the outcome...
