Simple food, well prepared and piping hot! What more could you ask for?

We stopped by this little hole in the wall after braving the crowds of the Colosseum and walking back to our flat yesterday afternoon. What a great choice stopping in was. Our waitress was right there with menus, asking what we wanted and helping us with the translation. A table of ten walked in right after us so we quickly ordered a bruschetta to share, pasta carbonara for myself, and Pasta e' fagioli for the lovely K, adding a bottle of water (it was not from the tap) and a bottle of house white wine. The wine did not come with a label, but it was quite nice given the price (9 euro) so can't comment on the name of the product. The table of ten ordered, our wine and water were delivered, quickly followed by our bruschetta. While we enjoyed that starter, two large pizzas came out for the table of ten in record time. Our bruschetta done, that plate was cleared and our lunch arrived soon after. Both dishes were very good, well seasoned, plentiful and simply displayed which was what we had anticipated. Bread accompanied the soup, and all worked in great harmony. The decor could use a little sprucing up, but this is Rome and places such as this abound. This one set itself apart for us with the food, our waitress and the speed with which we were served. Will be back.

This place deserves a standing ovation! I'm about to make it a temple, it's that good. Super close to the colosseo yet no tourists were here for dinner. It was all locals and a few french couples. I love the vibe here, everyone was so friendly and made sure we knew what we were ordering. I got the spaghetti bolognese with cheese. I forgot what cheese it had spinkled on top but it was addicting. Okay, let me say this slowly. It's nothing you've ever had and the sauce wasn't sour or sweet but it had the perfect balance from sweet tomatoes. It was so good, I nearly cried. Yeah, I'm a bit dramatic but seriously- this is a local spot y'all! Cleaned my plate is 8 minutes! Yep, timed it. I also got toast bread with italian ham and it was seasoned nicely and toasted just how I love it! The ham was really rich and the toast was seasoned with pepper and olive oil. Since my best friend and I are going back tonight, I'll probably order this one again. Trying really hard not to order the same EXACT meal but I can't! It was so delicious but I know the rest of their pastas are going to be just as superior. My favorite place to eat in my 22 years of living. I love this place

They have a small pizza and a bigger size which I would say is about 10 inches. The small size was sold out on my first visit and found out better to arrive earlier (before 6) for these. The Mini pies are good if you want to try a few varieties-so many so little time. Ordered the big Amatriciana (the unloved pasta dish of the big Roman four as a pizza) which was recommended-Pecorino, mozzarella with the Pork cheeks taking it over the top-one of their most popular and rightfully so! On the second visit , they had the small size pies-Friarielli & Salsiccia-Broccoli Rave and sausage-tasty, Fegato & Cipolla-pork liver sausage with onions and peppers made for a "not everyday" and delicious pie. Both visits service was excellent and engaged. This place screams independent and one of a kind but it turns out they are a regional chain with a handful of locations. Amazing pizza with so many options!

Plus, the space is very hot inside, but better to sit near the window or do takeaway. I wasn't very hungry, but wanted one last pizza in Italy. When I saw that this spot does mini pizzas, which means I was able to choose a variety of flavors; I was so excited! Unfortunately, they ran out of the mini pizza dough and only had the large. It really is a shame, because I didn't think the bigger version is worth €15 each. Nonetheless, I ordered the Burrata & Anchovies while the husband got Pepperoni. I really did enjoy the flavor and chewiness of the dough. The burrata also gave it such a nice creaminess to balance the pizza that worked perfectly. Sadly, I had to waste a slice because I couldn't finish the larger pizza, so still a bit upset that I couldn't order the mini. With that said, it's a delicious pizza spot.
