I wish them the best. But, the new owner has released all of the old employees, changed the entire me u to Chinese and has very short open hours. Great Pub Atmosphere.. locals, booze and good food! This is a great place to unwind, have a drink and have pub food. Had the fish and chips along with a bacon avocado cheeseburger with my wife. The food was superb and flavorful. All fresh ingredients! Our server Leslie was outstanding and very attentive. Went for lunch today (see posted photo) and had an enjoyable time. Our server was pleasant, got our drink order and filled it quickly. She took our order almost as soon as we had decided what to order. Food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. My sandwich was crispy without being too greasy (which can be a problem with those kind of sandwiches) and quite tasty. Drinks were refilled without having to ask for both paid drinks and water (considering the other parties / tables in use this was nice) . So I put this on FB last year but not yelp... totally an oversight. Great place that deserves a lot of accolades... What sets Duffers apart is the staff! Kelly helped me plan my husband's surprise 40th birthday party here and it was so easy! Kelly was responsive and was very helpful when planning our menu and timing. That night we had the most awesome waitresses (I wish I could remember her name because she deserves 5 stars covering our large group) and the manager Sam made sure everything went of without a hitch. I ordered several platters to hold guest over before our arrival.... they were really reasonable, and I was told all the food was tasty. Karaoke Fridays is a great time at Duffers, lots of regulars singing their hearts out in a fun friendly atmosphere, and cheap strong drinks from lovable bartenders who sometimes join in on the songs. Karaoke DJ's are amazing here and their sound system is top notch. There is also dance music intermissions of hip-hop, salsa, and 80's. So be ready to dance! The food is really good (exceptional wings, burgers and nachos) and the outdoor patio gets packed with special events, birthdays, and themed parties. Duffer's is the restaurant in the same building as the pro shop at the golf course. Over the years the restaurant, under various names and management, has had as many ups and downs as a merry-go-round. The current incarnation, Duffer's and management, have done a good job. I will sometimes grab breakfast following an early morning round of golf. It is pretty hard to mess up eggs, bacon, pancakes, etc., all of the standard breakfast fare. Duffer's meets the requirement for breakfast, though I have not found anything exceptionally exciting. A special that is available is to buy a medium bucket of range balls and then you get a highly reduced price for the burger and fries. The burgers are rather large and I find the meat to be well seasoned and cooked quite well. The fries seem to change style quite often but are always cooked like I prefer, a slight crispness on the outside and tender in the middle. The servers that I have encountered are always friendly and attentive, working for their tips. Some evenings Duffer's has live music, yet for some reason we have never been down to hear what is being performed. You can make Duffers a destination or it can be the place to eat before or after golf. No, it isn't a 5 star establishment but it is very good. read more

Came here today for a little golf and usually leave. Decided to cool off for a bit and stopped by Duffers they are very nice had the Greek salad very big but tasty. It's kinda quiet maybe because of being Sunday afternoon and most golfers stop by early. Overall I will come back because of the great customer service (Sam) and the tasty food. read more

This place is a perfect example of the saying, "Never judge a book by its cover" because, when you realize this place is on a golf course and that it looks a little divey, you don't expect to be getting anything good here. However, I was extremely impressed with the options this place had to offer and the quality they offered it at. I had the Steak Sandwich with mixed fruit and it was delicious. The steak was a good size and good tasting. Not this thin sliver of meat you find at a lot of other places. The bread was nice and toasty. It came out hot. I've been wanting to check this place out, so the wife and I decided to go. The place has a nice, inviting atmosphere with the golf course as the backdrop. Definitely a locals watering hole but we were greeted and received by the bartender. Beer was deliciously ice cold like we Americans love. We come here pretty often and usually no complaints. Don't come on Sundays. We've noticed that Sunday's have 1 particular server that never has it together. I went to Duffers at the Rancho Duarte Golf club for Super Bowl Sunday to catch the game, enjoy good food and have some drinks. It was my first time there and I was impressed! The staff was great, the waitresses were cool and the food was delicious. The buffet included fresh Ceviche, Shrimp cocktail, Slider burgers, chicken skewers, fresh out of the oven Pizza, baked beans and much more. Prices are decent for the quality of food. This place is under new management. The manager is very sweet and helpful and the course seems to be getting some well deserved TLC after the previous owners sort of abandoned it. Now for the food. Came here for lunch and well, I believe this place needs a new cook for lunch. Waitress didnt even bother checking to see if we were ok or to check on the food. Service is very slow and when I walked by the kitchen I noticed the cook didnt have a hair net, that in my book is a negative. Went here for breakfast today. They are dog friendly so we took our dog with us and sat outside on the patio. Their breakfast is reasonably priced and i had the swiss mushroom omelette, which was really good. Our waitress was excellent, and even brought a container of water out for our dog without us asking for it. Can't wait to return and try their lunch and dinner menu. read more

If I was able to give -10 I would. Mona the cook is the 2 best thing about this place. Food is very good. Service no matter what day of the week what time you are there is less than acceptable. Sam the manager needs to take some classes in customer service as well as accounting. The bill in our party cost of the same drinks always vary. Guess it's the mood his in. I was charged $7 for the same drink my friend got for $5. I'm not happy with the fact that he is still allowed to work there. We were asked to pay for our food as we ordered it. Best view in town, and paired with excellent fish tacos, it is beyond compare. We have become regulars here and have never been disappointed. We really come back because the people who work here are so awesome. Sam takes care of us on the weekends, which is our usual fish taco time. On weeknights Kelly is the best. Last week I was minus a lemon for my drink, and limes will not work. After being unsuccessful at 7-11, Kelly went to the store to get me some. She rocks.
