I'm going to give Dugan's credit for having really personable bartenders. The food is horrible and the 2 times I've eaten there I've gotten food poisoning, so I'm never going back there again. There were patrons there last night specifically for the $24.99 all you can eat crab legs, but apparently it's a scam to try to get folks to come in because the manager disclosed that there were extenuating circumstances that prevented them from getting in the crab legs but still they advertise that they have that special twice a week, even though they've never been able to provide that. read more

I was crushed when the Ponce location closed, but happy to know that Dugans is back in business across town! Location and Parking Located directly in front of Northlake mall, parking is plentiful and free. Venue and Atmosphere The restaurant is spacious and clean, with a covered patio to boot. 25 TVs surround the bar, making it an ideal place to watch sports. I visited for trivia on Thursday night, which was a fun experience in itself. Service Our waitress Yolanda was lovely and personable. Food and Beverages I'm happy to report that the wings are delicious as always! I do recommend getting them "extra wet," especially the lemon pepper. My buddies and I went to that location this past Saturday around 7PM EST. Once we walked in, noticed it was not too crowded and waited to be seated. A lady at the bar, told us to sit anywhere. We chose a high top table in the corner of the right side facing the bar. Sat for 15 minutes which no one acknowledged us, not even someone say "Someone will be right with you". By then we got up and left. Like my father use to say.... "Don't beg someone for their service when you are using your money!!". Very poor service which I would not recommend to anyone. This has to be one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time! 1. Cocktails... two people in my party cocktails; a Jack & Ginger and a Rum & Coke. Both drinks came out in an 8oz glass with what looked to be 2oz of liquid, including ice. Our server then advised that the $12 cocktails were the size of shots there. Needless to say, these were both sent back and she replacement them with beer. 2. The wings have a reputation that truly needs to be evaluated. The lemon pepper wet sauce tasted like Pledge furniture cleaner with a healthy sprinkling of black pepper. This is Atlanta... get your wings right! 3. The bacon burger had absolutely no flavor. I questioned if I had covid at this point as I couldn't taste the bacon or onions. My covid fears were assuaged once I ate a French fry as these were the saltiest fries I have ever had! 4. Fajitas tasted great but we had to ask for all the condiments (salsa, cheese, lettuce, sour cream) as they were not included on the side plate and the server didn't know they accompanied the fajitas. 5. Service... everyone was incredibly nice and personable.... But... no one had any idea what their menu was or includes. We also had to constantly flag someone down as we were never checked on. Second of all, it's lit up like a surgical suite...the lights are so bright which is just annoying. The food...yuck. The service...yuck. I used to come here when it originally was the Fork in the Road. I was interested to see what they did to remodel the space, and to experience the food. The restaurant is a typical sports bar with lots of TVs mounted on the wall, music is playing loudly, and the people at the bar make up 85 percent of the patrons. The food was good, and my server was good. The bartender and the "other" server were busy dancing and socializing and not much else. It was too loud and the visit was a letdown. Long story short, I visited Dugan's for the first time last weekend. Myself and a friend dined in and I also made a to go order for my boys. My dine in service was mediocre, as they brought out the wrong order but corrected it with no problem. But then, I get home and as I'm getting ready for work, I hear my son yell "is that a bug in my food?" A whole, live maggot in the lettuce for his burger. I return the food to Dugan's (which was a major inconvenience being that I had to go to work) and the "manager" asked if I wanted him to "take it off"? I asked him to refund the whole order. He asked me to send him the video and then went to the register and grabbed $27 in cash and gave it to me. So he only refunded the food that was to go. read more

I was a frequent Dugans customer from around 1991. Lived across the street from it. I can't even begin to compare this Dugans to that Dugans. It's definitely night and day. Hubby and I went one afternoon when a lot of friends from the old Dugans were there. It was fun, but different. The difference, kids. No one in their right mind would bring their kids to the old Dugans. But it is what it is. The drinks were still the same, the wings were a little smaller. Still one of the best burgers in town. The place is really nice and I know once they're finished with it, it will serve the community well. I doubt if I'll be visiting too much. The location is kinda far for us. But I'm glad that they kept Gigi and it was really good to see Dave. On to the next phase for Dugans. read more

First things first... this is a dive bar. It's a sports bar restaurant but ultimately a dive bar! It's important to know that to make sure your expectations are set appropriately. It's always love at Dugans. If you a Atlanta native you know what's up, the DJ is always on point aligned with the drinks. Service at the bar is tricky if you are not a "regular" but overall they take care of any issues and treat you with respect. I was in Atlanta to see my grandmother while on my way back home to San Antonio from Kill Devil Hill on the OBX, NC. I need a drink and a smoke after the LONG drive with the kids, so I hit instagram to see what ATL was talking about and I place I could smoke my cigars. If you are looking for the Dugans of yesteryear, keep looking. Unfortunately, I fear this restaurant may not make it in its new location. The waitress assured me nothing had changed other than the address . She stated management and the food was still the same. However , I strongly disagree about the food being the same as it was when they were located on Ponce. They have definitely changed the food. The wings look like they have been pumped up with steroids. They were gross! When I visited today it was empty and now I know why. The service left a lot to be desired even though there are literally three people in here. To add insult to injury, they have the audacity to serve dollar tree generic ketchup!! why not fork over a few cents more to get Heinz??? Even the sprite was nasty. Not sure if there's a lack of management or servers are new but they didn't seem to have sections and no host. I would definitely not return to eat in, maybe only getting food to go as a last resort. My wife and I dropped by the new location two weeks ago. I never got a chance to visit Duggan's on Ponce, but I always welcome a good restaurant in the Northlake area. (They moved into the old Thumbs Up/Fork in the Road space at the mall.) The staff was friendly, the food was great, and the atmosphere was terrific. We even got a chance to meet the manager, Mike West, who checked on us and shared some of the restaurant's history. I know seeing Duggan's leave their old location was hard, but I'm glad they set up shop near us. read more
