We were in the area and I remembered there was a Hudson Grill close by. So we took a short drive over and pulled into their huge parking lot. We quickly found a spot up front and entered. Nobody was at the host podium for a minute and then someone came around and greeted us warmly. We let him know we would like a table for three outside. He said that would not be a problem, handed us menus and said head outside to pick our table. After a few minutes our very friendly server, Patricia, came out to greet us. We quickly reviewed the beverages.. I was happy to see they had an extensive beer selection. I ordered a Creature Comfort Bigger Dreams, Wifey ordered a Mango Cart and my daughter ordered a Kingston Peach frozen drink. The drinks came out quickly and then we were pretty much ready to order our food. Wifey ordered Barbecue Nachos with turkey. I ordered 10 wings, all drums, with a mixture of 2 flavors: the Peach BBQ and Pineapple Chipotle. I picked Tatter Tots as my side. My daughter ordered the Sweet Heat Salmon bowl. She said they had her at "Coconut Rice" in the dish description. We sat outside and I noticed there were TVs everywhere. Perfect set up for a warm afternoon. Before we knew it, the food was coming out. I loved my wings and was happy with the flavors I chose. Wifey commented her nachos could've been a little warmer, but she really enjoyed them. I tasted a corner and agreed they were very good. My daughter could not stop raving about her Salmon Bowl. The coconut rice lived up to her expectations and brought everything together. We were finishing up our food and were ready to close out the bill. The problem was our server was nowhere to be found. We waited and waited, I eventually had to wave down another server to find her and let her know we were ready for the bill. We still waited and waited and then I had to go inside and wave her down myself to let her know we wanted a couple togo boxes and the check. This place was a solid 4 to 4.5 before all the trouble chasing down our server. Even though service fell off at the end of our visit, Patricia was nice when she was around and my daughter was still raving about that bowl hours later. She ate the whole thing. She thought she was gonna have enough to pack it up, but while waiting for our server she kept picking at it and next thing we knew it was all gone. So I'm currently at Hudson's right now watching the Houston Patriots game and we ordered a picture of bear. I got the grilled chicken buffalo wrap with a side of chili. The chili is super hot with jalapeños a little bit too hot for me and they actually changed it out for a fabulous Caesar salad. The customer service here is outstanding. The owner has been by to chat with us twice since we've been in our waiters and waitresses are just above and beyond I cannot say enough good things oh and by the way, they have 47 TVs for sports. Let me start off by saying I brought a few family members here and chose the Hudson Grille because everybody's picky and I knew it would have a lot of different options for everyone. I think this is definitely the family location. The last Hudson Grill I went to was a lot more lively and had a younger ish crowd but, it could've also been the time of day it was brunch btw. Anyway, this location is a good size with lots of booths your typical chain looking restaurant. They were also playing hits from the 80's and it was especially loud outside which didn't make sense lol. The waitress was really cool and honest about some of the dishes we wanted to order which we really appreciated. One thing I didn't like was they were out of a lot of drinks we tried to order like three different things and they were out of all of them so we just ended drinking screwdrivers. I had to say the best thing that we ordered was the spinach dip it was a good size and very tasty. My niece who's not eating meat at the moment got the child size mac & cheese, and side of mashed potatoes. Bland, nothing to write home about. My nephew got the nachos. They were good. I got the mac & cheese bowl with buffalo chicken. It came with fried onion rings, the topping is what gave it flavor I thought it was decent. The mac & cheese was bland. Generously giving 4 stars due to attentiveness and great customer service from Manager David & Hailey! I was greeted upon entry and asked how I needed assistance as I was honestly probably looking lost as I scoured the TVs for the Bare Knuckles fight championship viewing. David asked me if I knew what channel it was showing on and I explained that Bare Knuckles was subscription based, and that I had called that location the day prior to confirm that Hudson Grille location would be showing the fight. We did not readily locate on any monitor and he produced a sheet showing all the programs that were viewing that day. David said it might be showing at one of the other locations, and was even willing to call to verify - unfortunately it was not. Although BKFC fight was not showing, I had plans to meet someone there and place an order for food to go. I ordered the 14 ounce ribeye medium-well with mac & cheese, smashed potatoes and a Caesar salad. The entrée came with the two side and I opted for the third. Haley was super nice and offered a drink while I waited. As previously mentioned I was very pleased to service and that was the reason for the 4 stars. Otherwise they would've been more like 2, because we later discovered that the steak was medium rare (instead of requested medium well) and of course the fight was not actually showing there. Would return to watch during football season & for drinks as they had a lot of all day specials. It's also conveniently located off of Lavista Road with ample parking. I stopped going to Hudson Grille two years ago because of a rude manager. I just started going back this past summer and my favorite menu item was Gringo Tacos. FOUR times out of maybe ten times the cooks have forgotten the pico de gallo. I was given a refund once, free tacos and one time I just let it go. TODAY, they left the pico de gallo off again. I called just to let the manager know that their training is not working as the picture depicts. Chris proceeded to tell me that I call all the time and complain. I told him that I was not calling to get free food only to make sure his cooks was more efficient yet he told me his cooks were consistent. Stopped in here a little later than normal, around 8:40 PM and got seated right away. Wasn't real busy, but didn't expect it to be. Bar was pretty busy watching some basketball games and I was able to watch 3-4 on tv's that are everywhere! Didn't want anything heavy at this point, so ordered the Lobster Cobb salad and it was delicious! There was plenty of lobster (pleasant surprise) and while still a healthy portion, at least felt like I wasn't stuffed when I left. My first visit here was a great one. KIERRA, was our server and she was very attentive. We slowly made our way through the menu as we were watching the Sunday afternoon football game. We ordered the Spinach Dip with chips. The warm spinach was delicious and cheesy Our next move were the Makers Mark Wings. We also enjoyed the Blueberry Lemon Drop Martini. Three of them! This will be my favorite cocktail for now on when I visit here. The southern brewery Hob Nail IPA and the Wicked Weed Pernicious IPA were great beers from their beer menu. My mother and I came here for lunch after we went shopping. I was seated immediately and greeted by our server, Aaliyah. We ordered waters and I knew what I wanted immediately. I ordered my nachos, something I had been wanting for some time now, and my mom ordered salmon. My family took my mother here on Mother's Day. This place was conveniently placed decent parking. We were immediately greeted with genuine smiles. The booths are huge and can comfortably seat six people. The only issue was it was a bit sticky but that could be from whatever or they cleaned the table with since it appeared clean. The waitress was one of the best aspects and I wish I remembered her name. She was a sweetheart that kept us entertained, informative about the regular and vegan menu. She was great with suggestions.
