This is a fairly new place to eat. I decided to make a go of it today it was a little hard to find in that it is in a gas station. I actually drove past it but I did find the area where customers park the cool cars at to show to the public. Anyway I made my way back around and parked in front. I ordered a chi hot dog and fries. It came fairly quick but the food didnt taste fast foodishhh. The dog had a snap to it the veggies were fresh and ripe tasted like veggies. The sport peppers were on point. Lets talk fries that come with the dog order. I normally dont order fries but again it comes with the order. These fries were fresh and hot not greasy had a bite to them long story short ate them all. I normally dont do that. I will be back. They also serve burgers, meatball and chicken sandwiches. I have tried the combo, cheeseburger, hot dog, fries and ice cream. The beef and Italian sausage were phenomenal. The made to order cheeseburger was hot, juicy and fresh on a delicious brioche role. Hot dog had just the right snap that you look for in a Chicago dog. The fries were hot and crispy just the way I like them. The ice cream had the texture and flavor that tells you they spend a little more for the quality stuff and I can appreciate that. All this and not to mention the great service and courteous friendly staff. read more

Duke's Drive In, formally from Bridgeview reopens today in Mokena. Best beef sandwich on the southside!

So far I've only had the beef sandwich and fries but I will gladly return to this place. The beef was sliced super thin and I love that. The fries are thin with just the right amount of crisp. Looking forward to ordering from here again in the future. read more

Fries were soggy, not good. Italian beef was a bit dry. It did have juice on it. But the meat itself on the dry side. The Italian sausage was decent. All in all we wouldn't return. I like a combo but this wasn't very good. Hey, why doesn't the manager order fries and judge for themselves. We should have stopped at McDonald's for fries. read more

The best beef in the area. The only negative was when i asked for American cheese on the beef, I was disappointed to find out the it was cheese sauce, and it was not that good. Next time will stick to the beef with only hot peppers and fries! read more

I'm so glad Dukes is back!! I grew up on this place and was excited to find out that Dukes re-opened in Mokena! My first visit was a beef with hot peppers and fries. Everything was delicious and EXACTLY like I remembered. Couldn't be happier! I hope Mokena will be Dukes' new home for years to come! read more

We have loved Dukes for years. The same great service...same large portions....but the recipe has changed So spicy that 3/4 thru I couldn't taste the beef any more. Unfortunately we won't be back. read more

The food is ok but they must have the beef on boil, it was super hot, and the bread seemed a bit too soft. The sausage in the combo is very nicely spiced. The location is terrible, it is basically a drive through the area is busy and the parking is very limited. They have a few tables they share with other establishments so your in luck there. I've tried the drive through and the combo just does not taste the same when you get it home, for me only a 20 minute drive. read more

i worked across the street of the original dukes from 1984 to 1994 and ate there numerous times. i always loved the beef and still do at the new place. the only beef (LOL) i have with them is the size has already gotten smaller. i wish they would be consistent with the sizes and if they need to raise price some then do that instead read more

Its like the origanal dukes but with a gas station twist what I tried was the ice cream, frys, and hot dog the hot dog and fries are a little bit soggy and greasy and the frys coud use a tad bit more salt and the ice cream is great its realy good but not as good as the origanal. read more

The person taking the order was less than friendly - borderline rude. The prices are insane. They put the stale fries on top of hot dogs which had cold vegetables so the fries were cold and tasted like they were sitting around a while. The cheeseburger was nothing special. The hot dog buns were stale. Never going back. I don't mind spending ridiculous amounts of money if the food is hot and fresh but this was very disappointing! Ripoff! read more

Went to dukes since when they were in Bridgeview. Couldn't wait till the new one opened up. The food amount is very close to the original the taste is the same The service was quick and unlike many places today it was right the first time and fresh The dive thru is a good idea The parking seems a little smaller than the old one but more organized I believe we have winner here read more

great food but car show is very clickage same cars had 5 friends bring thier classic cars they never been there got there at 4 lot was full and counted at least 15 spots reserved by other people for thier friends asked the worker about it all he can say park in the front i told him they shouldnt reserve spots it like he didnt car. these are some of the same people that wont pay to enter fundraising shows could have had 5 new customers not they wont come back including me i would at lease twice a week for food now i wont support them read more
