Stopped by Duke's Pints & Plates and enjoyed our meal overall. We ordered beers, the pulled pork sandwich, and the Duke Burger, and everything was tasty and well-prepared. Prices were a little on the high side, but the food quality was good. The only downside was the bartender/server, who seemed a bit awkward during our visit. He would frequently come over and stand at our table without saying much and made a few jokes that felt a little uncomfortable. Hidden gem. I'm very picky about my beer and my burgers. This beer was ice cold, on 100 degree day, and one of the best burgers I've ever had, cooked perfectly medium rare. I have no idea why this place doesn't have a solid 5 stars across the board. read more

This place is absolutely amazing! You can never go wrong with stopping by. Food is amazing. Serves is incredible. The staff here is friendly. It's a vibe. They will be singing. Joking with the customers. Definitely make you feel like family or the red headed step child. Either way it's a great time. They might bust out in karaoke. The high notes needs some work but they're definitely improving. You'll get two types of music. You'll get classic rock, alternative upfront and Los Bukis in the kitchen. It's nothing but primo love here. The beer stays the cold. The door is constantly swinging. Families coming in by the waves. Makes me feel like I'm back in 2005 with a head full of hair. After 12 years in this spot, I finally decided to stop in for a visit. This used to be a Beach Hut Deli and that was the last time I was there. Wanted lunch somewhere new. I wasn't disappointed. Aubrey was very friendly. It is almost like a small bar with food. Lots of choices of craft beers and the Huckleberry cider is tasty. I had the Turkey burger. The size is very generous, I couldn't manage to finish. There's three tvs and Aubrey says some come to watch the games, but it isn't a huge place, fyi. This place is great for what it is! Sometimes the service is great, other times it's terrible. The food is decent but isn't anything that I crave - I've tried the fries, chicken strips, sliders, chicken quesadilla, and chicken sandwich. We rarely ever sit inside, their outside patio is great. There are tons of tables and it's shaded so perfect for summer. It can get really busy on Fridays after 5pm, but most other nights aren't too busy. read more

We went back to see if the hot pastrami sandwich was as good as I remembered. Oh, yeah. My husband had it, too, and pronounced it to be "amazing!" A great little place to get a beer and burger. There were plenty of TVs in the bar area to watch the games. The whole place is decorated with brewery decor. Each restroom was single stall. The patio had multiple different table options with plenty of seating. The patio is dog friendly. There was nobody else there when we went so service was quick! This shop has become our top burger spot in town and we have been here about 6 times in the last few years. The menu is simple, and straight to the point, and they cook the burgers fresh to order. Also, when we order a burger cooked to medium, that's how it is cooked every single time. The consistency of the burger cook is exceptional, and this is where they shine. I know exactly what to expect when I come here, and I know my burger will be cooked correctly. I LOVE finding that level of care and consistency and that's something that brings me back through the doors on the regular. I love the buffalo wings so much! Crispy, crunchy, messy, saucy, goodness that leaves my fingers messy and covered in vinegary spiciness. More than anything, I like the Cheers vibe they have. Regulars come in and chat with the servers and bartenders, laughing, smiling, watching sports, drinking beers, and talking trash. It's such a wonderful feeling when you walk through the doors. Was in the area for a baseball game and craved a beer and a burger. Went to Yelp and saw this place had good reviews so we gave it a whirl. Glad we did because it was delicious! The Duke Burger was so Good! It was fresh, served hot and flavorful. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich which was just as good. The fries were crispy with a special seasoning that complimented the burger. Beers were refreshing too! I tried the Num Num hazy ipa and it was so good! The service was really great too! I didn't catch the servers name but she was super attentive, friendly and offered a tasting of beers when we weren't sure what to get. This place feels like a cozy neighborhood bar when you walk in. There's a lot of seating packed into a small space to include the bar and some tables. I think there is some outside seating as well. It's pretty full from about 5-7pm when I've been. They have a full bar if you're not in the mood for beer or wine. The loaded fries and garlic fries have an oil added to them that are off putting at first and then become addicting the more you eat them. Their ranch is really good and the lemon drops are tasty. Had a solid pastrami on rye, and the missus had a medium rare mishroom-swiss burger. The seasoned fries and side salad with blue cheese crumbles were up to snuff, and the tap list was adequately rounded. 90's alt rock tunes were slightly loud when we came in late afternoon, but the dinner manager turned them down to the right level once she came on shift. The thing that stands out, though, is the potato salad. Apparently they have a dedicated "potato salad lady" they contract with; it has good amounts of dill and mustard seed, with egg. Maybe sour cream and tarragon? It didn't taste mayonnaisey or pickley, though. Not sweet. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood. Had lunch and a beer with a friend on a Thursday and it was modestly busy. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and quick. Interior and patio seating is available, but the place is pretty small/cozy. Beer selection was very good, but on the day we visited, all the beer was foamy. According to our server, which may have been the owner, the foamy beer was due to cleaning lines and moving kegs. OK, but everything looked and tasted like hazy beer with too much foam. That said, I would have discounted the beer until it was clear. Food is pub style with mostly burgers and sandwiches. I went old school with a Patti Melt with a side of potato salad, and both were excellent. Overall it is a great local tap room with food. Duke's fills a great need in the area for good burgers in a relaxed environment. The back patio is great for large groups (and kids can run around on the lawn on the side). I love the turkey burger (elevated with the addition of raw jalapenos!) and the chicken sandwich. The fries are top notch too! Possibly the best restaurant hamburger I've ever had. Definitely in my top five, but it's hard to make comparisons there because my top five happened over a 40+ year time span. Absolutely would recommend this place to anyone if they're looking for a hidden gem. I have been living so close to this place and never trying it. Had a friend tell me it was good and I just didn't try it at all. One day my husband and I decided to try the different food places in the plaza and decided on dukes. Woooowww. Why did we wait so long?! The burger was cooked exactly how we asked for it. They were juicy but not messy and just so flavorful. Did I also mention they were MASSIVE too?! I could barely eat half!! ~$18 for a burger, it better be good! Unfortunately, I don't think it was worth the price. Garlic aioli sauce was the key flavor, but there wasn't enough of it. Garlic fries were meh, not worth the $2 upgrade. And they were different than prior pictures I saw..they did not change for the better. Inside is small. Mostly bar and high top seating, only two regular tables (for up to 8 people). It was super cold inside, AC blasting on a cool day. Service was fine. Looked like there was one guy working the front and one guy cooking. Didn't come around to check on us til we were done, so could've been better especially since there was only one other customer in there. On the corner of the strip of businesses so it was easier to spot and there was plenty of parking in the lot. Overall, 3.5 stars rounded up to 4. I was underwhelmed. Food looks really good, but wasn't worth ~$80 for 3 burgers & a kids meal. Also, for the kids meals they should consider using a different fruit other than grapes or cutting them up (which I think is more work than it's worth for them). Young children shouldn't eat whole grapes. We had to vigilantly watch our child to make sure she didn't choke on them. I doubt I'll be back. read more

I did is always clean and we always run into someone we know. This is very much a neighborhood jem. The service is usually quick, this can depend upon how busy it is but that is true everywhere. You got a bar, high tops, low tops. It is small'ish inside but there is a patio too. I have been here with groups of 6+. The beer selection it solid with regular rotation. Heavy on the IPAs but always a few dark beers and sometimes a Belgian or two. If beer isn't your thing there is a full bar. The old fashioned is great here. The burgers are my go to at Duke's. The 1/2 lbs brisket burger make for a cheat day you will not regret. Fries 4 ways or a side salad are available. Honestly I haven't got past the burger section on the menu.
