Prices were a little on the high side, but the food quality was good. The only downside was the bartender/server, who seemed a bit awkward during our visit. He would frequently come over and stand at our table without saying much and made a few jokes that felt a little uncomfortable. After 12 years in this spot, I finally decided to stop in for a visit. This used to be a Beach Hut Deli and that was the last time I was there. Wanted lunch somewhere new. I wasn't disappointed. The food is decent but isn't anything that I crave - I've tried the fries, chicken strips, sliders, chicken quesadilla, and chicken sandwich. This shop has become our top burger spot in town and we have been here about 6 times in the last few years. The menu is simple, and straight to the point, and they cook the burgers fresh to order. Also, when we order a burger cooked to medium, that's how it is cooked every single time. The consistency of the burger cook is exceptional, and this is where they shine. I know exactly what to expect when I come here, and I know my burger will be cooked correctly. I LOVE finding that level of care and consistency and that's something that brings me back through the doors on the regular. I love the buffalo wings so much! The Duke Burger was so Good! It was fresh, served hot and flavorful. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich which was just as good. The fries were crispy with a special seasoning that complimented the burger. Beers were refreshing too! I tried the Num Num hazy ipa and it was so good! The service was really great too! I didn't catch the servers name but she was super attentive, friendly and offered a tasting of beers when we weren't sure what to get. The seasoned fries and side salad with blue cheese crumbles were up to snuff, and the tap list was adequately rounded. Apparently they have a dedicated "potato salad lady" they contract with; it has good amounts of dill and mustard seed, with egg. Maybe sour cream and tarragon? It didn't taste mayonnaisey or pickley, though. Not sweet. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood. Possibly the best restaurant hamburger I've ever had. Definitely in my top five, but it's hard to make comparisons there because my top five happened over a 40+ year time span. ~$18 for a burger, it better be good! Unfortunately, I don't think it was worth the price. Garlic aioli sauce was the key flavor, but there wasn't enough of it. Garlic fries were meh, not worth the $2 upgrade. And they were different than prior pictures I saw..they did not change for the better. Inside is small. Mostly bar and high top seating, only two regular tables (for up to 8 people). It was super cold inside, AC blasting on a cool day. Service was fine. Looked like there was one guy working the front and one guy cooking. Didn't come around to check on us til we were done, so could've been better especially since there was only one other customer in there. On the corner of the strip of businesses so it was easier to spot and there was plenty of parking in the lot. Overall, 3.5 stars rounded up to 4. I was underwhelmed. Food looks really good, but wasn't worth ~$80 for 3 burgers & a kids meal. Also, for the kids meals they should consider using a different fruit other than grapes or cutting them up (which I think is more work than it's worth for them). Young children shouldn't eat whole grapes. We had to vigilantly watch our child to make sure she didn't choke on them. I doubt I'll be back. read more

I did is always clean and we always run into someone we know. This is very much a neighborhood jem. The service is usually quick, this can depend upon how busy it is but that is true everywhere. You got a bar, high tops, low tops. It is small'ish inside but there is a patio too. I have been here with groups of 6+. The beer selection it solid with regular rotation. Heavy on the IPAs but always a few dark beers and sometimes a Belgian or two. If beer isn't your thing there is a full bar. The old fashioned is great here. The burgers are my go to at Duke's. The 1/2 lbs brisket burger make for a cheat day you will not regret. Fries 4 ways or a side salad are available. Honestly I haven't got past the burger section on the menu. 05.28.21 Decided to celebrate National Hamburger Day with an office lunch outing to Duke's. Knowing the boss is always on the search for a great burger, Hubs has been touting this place as one of his favorites in town and for quite some time had been trying to get my boss to check it out. We all met up at 1p on a Friday and boy o boy, was that parking lot packed!!! Located in the Arden Towne Center shopping area, it's basically next door to the Mas Taco and near the Golden 1 branch. I ended up parking in front of the Starbucks. By the time we left, just before 3p, the lot wasn't quite as busy but spots were still a bit scarce. Now that COVID destro are loosening up, signs indicated face masks were encouraged but not required (yay!). Inside were several tables, some high, some kinda boothy, and some against the back wall. They also had a very nice covered patio with several tables for groups of 4-6ish, even a couple low picnic tables. This is where we opted to enjoy our meal since inside was a bit loud with the music and we wanted to have (& hear) nice conversation. We were greeted promptly and asked for drink orders. They have an extensive beer menu and a select menu of cocktails on special. Since we were there for lunch, no adult beverages were had this time. They have quite the selection of burgers and all 4 of us ordered something different. My garlic fries were REALLY good, as was my smoked Gouda burger....altho it was slightly over cooked from my request of medium (there wasn't any pink!), it was still juicy. In fact, Hub's brisket burger, ordered to medium-well cooking, came out more to my liking with more pink in it. Boss has The Duke burger, medium-rare, with a side salad. He really enjoyed everything, altho I felt the burger looked slightly undercooked IMO, but other than that it looked yum! Finally, my GF went with the sliders, and she thought they were a bit dry & overcooked. Probably cuz they're so tiny. But she said if she returned she's order a regular burger. I only ordered beer so this review is off beer, service and experience. Beer was good. I recommend the two towns cider. They have variety of beers including several different IPAs. Place is small but I like they have a back patio which is nice. Didn't use the bathroom so can't speak on that. Three stars for service and the fact they have games but they do not let their customers use them anymore. They should just move them out of customers view then if can't be used tbh. read more

I have been to Duke's a couple of times PYE - Pre Yelp Elite and have always enjoyed coming here. Their food is fresh and always tastes great! My family and I stopped in for dinner on Thursday before my daughter's swim class and sat outside. No seating inside at this time. You can also order to go as well! We ordered the Cobb Salad (added blue cheese crumbles), Duke Burger with Garlic Fries and the kid's Mini Burger with Fries. Everything was great! I took notice of how crunchy and fresh the lettuce was in the salad and how tasty their fries were. My daughter enjoyed her mini burger even if she only ate the meat. Staff was friendly, quick and attentive! Our dining experience was enjoyable minus the kids that kept running around and one of them even came over and poked me!
