While visiting Sacramento for the holidays, I had to stop at my old hangout stairs. Not too much has changed inside in the few years that I have been gone. I love most things on their menu and decided to go with the dozen buffalo wings. They did not disappoint. The wings are still served with a delicious blue cheese sauce as an option to ranch dressing. I still was able to enjoy stiff drinks, and the usual lunchtime regulars. The wings were so good that I was down to the last wing before I remembered I needed to take a picture to show how good they really are but failed except for the last wing! 08/02/26 at 1:20 I ordered a drink from the person bartending , she was extremely dismissive I wanted water so she gave it the first time after like 15 mins because I had make her come to me and even after asking she took like 7 mins idk im not petty I come here at least 3-4x a week I hope to continue so hopefully the owner has the word a with the young lady . I was noting but extra polite off the rip and still tipped more than my drink costed because I genuinely like this place but the woman working bartender during 08/02/26 should honestly not be a bartender . This was my first visit to Stingers. It took place on a Friday, at about lunchtime. I ordered a chicken sandwich and a beer. In terms of service, I'll say it was "acceptable under the circumstances". I won't speculate if it was a scheduling issue or a worker availability issue, but there was only one person to take care of the bar and all of the tables in the restaurant. They tried their best. The sandwich wasn't too fancy, but it was constructed well and tasted good. I don't think Stingers is a destination, in itself. I suspect it's just a nice neighborhood bar and grill which caters to a regular cast of characters. In general, it is neat and clean. It has the typical features: large screen TVs, neon signs, pool tables--and a shuffleboard table. And if you wanted something to eat while watching sports, the food is better than just okay. read more

This is the BEST sports bar we've been to in years. As Bears fans it's hard to find a bar that gets the right game on the right tv for us. This place looked at our gear, changed the game in front of us and kept the drinks and food coming. Great space, tons of tv's, delicious food, PERFECT BLOODY MARY's, clean bathrooms. We wish we were locals and could come back. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Especially for locals. read more

The bartender here, Chris, likes to add drinks to your tab that you did not buy! He likes to gaslight women and tell them they don't remember how much they had to drink as that is his way of bringing in more money for this dump! Totally rude dude and I have heard other complaints that he has done the same to other people! WILL NOT visit this terrible bar again! Oh i was NOT expecting that. This was a total surprise! LOCATION: Typical dive bar location. On the corner of the tiniest outlet with all of 12 (rough guestimate) shared parkings spaces, but there's street parking available. DECOR: Again. The typical dark bar with blacked out it tinted windows, a few games and table seating. The outdoor patio looked a bit better, but it was at night and there were a few people out there. DRINKS: It was Wednesday, and there were $5 Mai Thais and MY DAMN!! They were tryna make me pass out on the first cup. These were $5 tip per cup kind of drinks. In other words, they were the best! FOOD: Also because it was Wednesday, the was a guy grilling outside the front door and it smelled amazing. Everything in the menu was to die for. I ordered the half chicken and my Lexie ordered the new York steak. They came with corn bread, beans and your choice of corn or baked potato. I had corn and kefir had the potato. Now, the bartender warned me about the chicken saying that it was more like half a turkey and when I say this was the biggest half chicken i had ever seen i mean IT WAS THE BIGGEST FREAKING HAD CHICKEN I HAD EVER SEEN!! It took me 5 days to eat that monster. Abs it was good everyday. PRICE: Did I mention the $5 Mai Thais? The price for the chicken was $14 and the steak was $16 STAFF: The bartender was cool as hell. Informative and funny. I think she was pregnant. The guy barbecuing was pretty cool also. EXPERIENCE: I went in here with my friend Lexie here pretty much lives here. I want impressed at first. Everytime I walk into this place i feel like family. Chris and Gio are always so welcoming.

Would give zero stars if I could. Walked in after a ride on the trail looking to get a cold beer and my boyfriend and I were met with the worst customer service we have experienced in years. It was not very busy and we were not greeted for well over 5 minutes despite the workers walking past us numerous times. The food here is really good. The cook even came out while preparing to ask about options we wanted. She was very friendly and nice. However, it was not easy to get our drinks. The bartender was too busy visiting with her friends at the bar to wait on us. When we finally got her attention, she seemed annoyed to be bothered by us. Nice vibe - this is a local's joint in the middle of student housing. No kids when I was in there on a week night. It's a laid back bar and grill - the usual pool table, games, indoor/outdoor seating. The menu is good for bar food - I had the huge shrimp quesadilla. Probably have the carne asada next time. Amazing food! Drove from Rocklin to this place so my friend visiting from Jamaica can taste the wings. We ordered a bunch of flavors: Buffalo, lemon pepper and barbecue wings; with 1 sides of garlic and regular fires. The one order of fries are ginormous and can easily feed 3 people. Great setup. Total dive bar. And even though it's right next to the college, the crowd is older. I'd say people between their late 20s - late 30s. They also have pool, shuffle board, and plenty of tvs to watch the game. The food is great too. Made to order, and I recommend the chicken wings! They also have daily lunch and drink specials. Like $1.50 canned beer after 6pm on Fridays. The bartenders are a great time too. My personal experience was coming here for a playoff basketball game. The normal bartender, Kobe, was really awesome! At the end of the night when it got super busy, he still remembered everything I ordered even though he didn't keep my card on file to start my tab. He's awesome. read more
