Tritip sandwich and a sour cream
    Stevi B.

Stopped in before a basketball game last week. You order at the counter and then head to a table. Service was friendly and recommendations were provided. I went with the tri-tip sandwich. It was good, but it wasn't something I think I'd order again. Nothing that really stood out about it for me. The meat was crusted with black pepper I believe, but that didn't really come through in any bite. I'd be willing to go back and check out other menu items. I'd rate it a 3.5 so far.

I always hunt for breweries when I travel, and this spot checked all the boxes. Not only do they brew great beer, but they also serve food and host trivia nights--double win! I came on the perfect night: burger night. To my surprise, they had a vegetarian option, which is always a huge plus. I went with the Mac & Cheese Impossible Burger. At first it sounded like an odd combo, but wow--it was insanely delicious and mouthwatering. I usually never finish my food, but I devoured this one without hesitation. The beer selection was just as impressive, and the vibe of the place is spacious, lively, and super welcoming. Absolutely loved my experience here and can't wait to come back!

    Tacos and soup.

We live about a half mile away, so this is our go-to spot when we're not motivated to venture further, but Sac City Brews would be worth a drive. My photos are from various times, so I am sorry if I can't give you specifics. We get the monthly special flat bread every month, and their monthly soups and tacos are always delicious. We nearly always order off the monthly special menu, but we'll get the nachos once in a while, too. The chef is creative and buys local ingredients. The beer selection is great, too, and once in a while, we will just come for a beer, but the food is the star.

I have been here a few times but the last two times I have noticed the food is not good. Just spent $52 for two beers and two entrees. My wifes Nashville Chicken Sandwich came out late and very burnt. She barely ate any of it. I ordered a brautwurst that was covered in purple sour kraut to the point where it was difficult to even eat it. If you want a couple beers and a snack, it's a good vibe and friendly service. But if you're looking for a meal there are better breweries to pick from in Sac.

No one needs to be peddled SEX STUFF while dining with their families

Food is just ok....ambiance is even more sub par. I have lived in this neighborhood for 46 years and love to support local businesses. Please don't be gross and try to indoctrinate the young with your creepy WEIRD SEX STUFF in a "family" establishment. Last time, never coming back. This place is convenient and NOTHING else.

Didn't know I'd like this spot as much as I did. Well done! Location is good with lots of parking, interior is a whole vibe, pricing is fair, and the service is great. Only thing I didn't like was the playlist - miss me with any country music. Please switch it up. About the food: the Pastrami on gluten-free bread was immaculate, the nachos were ingredient rich and filling, and the chili was cheesy and full of flavor. Playing uno while eating also made for a fun experience. Will definitely be back.

Love the vibes of this place! We sat outside and enjoyed a vinyl set by the DJ, looked at some classic cars, and enjoyed some good food and drinks. Sac City Brews has something for everyone! They had a great tap list and interesting non alcoholic beer options as well. We started with breakfast tots during brunch then had the banh mi sausage. The food was incredible. We can't wait to make this a regular spot when we visit Sacramento!

Been here a few times and always had a clean table, never super crowded during the week, and quick service to get something in draft. The selections, even if what I think is small, have always been great. One of them tasted just the a churro! Super yummy. Be careful and get something to nosh on cause they hit hard depending on your tolerance. Can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can enjoy a beer on their patio.

    Cali Burger on Burger Night

A group of us from work met yesterday evening to surprise a previous coworker of ours to celebrate her retirement. When my husband and I arrived around 5pm, business was picking up and nearly every table inside was occupied. Tables outside were starting to fill up as well, despite it being a windy day! We had heard from my coworkers that the monthly Burger Night was a popular day to visit. We learned later that it was trivia night as well. We lucked out to be able to order right away with no line at the counter when we arrived. We got an order of onion rings and a Cali burger. My husband also ordered the Mama's Peaches sour. A staff member brought out items as they were ready, so we received our onion rings first and then our burger a little later. Both were really tasty, and I especially liked the green goddess sauce with the onion rings and the perfect cook on the juicy burger patty. We spent some time catching up with coworkers and then teamed up with a few to form a team for trivia night. The trivia was a lot of fun with a variety of themes and questions and our team ultimately ended up winning! I had a great first visit to Sac City Brews and am happy to have had the opportunity to visit and spend time with our work group. The atmosphere was super neighborly and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves!

If you love local than this place has it all. Sac brews on tap, inspired pub menu by an amazing chef, and lots of outdoor space. Their pop nights and beer pairing menus are like a neighborhood party but elevated. They have good wine and 'booch options if you're not feeling like a beer. Cheers!

From the eggs, to the potatoes, to the pancakes, everything here is a classic diner, breakfast experience, but elevated. Speaking of pancakes, get them. Especially if they have the blueberry + lemon ones. So fluffy, decadent, sweet, and satisfying. Some of the best that I've had. Service is also fantastic. Our waitress brought excellent service and such fun, upbeat energy. Bacon & Butter is a 5-star breakfast spot that lives up to the hype and is worth the wait if you have time to kill. The weather was beautiful and sunny that we were seated outside the patio area. The wait wasn't too bad on a Saturday. About 45 minutes and knowing where we are on the waitlist and getting a text that our table is ready was a huge plus. The service was amazing. Kudos to the staffs! I ordered the B&B burger and it was delicious. Only downside of the burger was the bottom bun being soggy. Probably toast the bottom so it can hold on longer since this was juiciest burger we ever had. It was cooked well to my liking though. We had their lemonades and lychee lemonade was refreshing and delicious. The kids want to come back again and try out other different foods because they love it. They were already asking when we can come back. So we'll definitely come back again.

We were seated within 10 minutes of arrival - they did not accept reservations. We started with the Spinach and Artichoke Dip ($15) and Fritto Misto ($22) and drinks. I was so impressed with their Freezer Martini ($16) - the presentation was fun, and the amount given was well worth the price. Everyone ordered their own respective entrees, which included the Pasta Bolognese ($21) with Meatballs ($3), Seared Salmon ($29), and the Double-Cut Pork Chop ($29). I was totally present during the dinner, so I didn't get many pictures. Let's just say everyone's plates were cleared by the end. Definitely will come back to try their Sunday Brunch!

The outdoor patio, shade, and overall atmosphere were great, and our server was wonderful and understanding throughout our meal. The food value on the brunch side, however, missed the mark. A couple of us ordered the $19 chorizo open-face omelette. While we knew going in that it didn't come with sides, what was presented simply did not match the menu description. It arrived as a disappointing 7-inch open-faced omelette. The peppers were barely specks, and the potatoes were virtually nonexistent (something we realized while discussing the dish later). On top of that, the small amount of "chorizo" tasted and looked like plain breakfast sausage. I completely understand that businesses need to turn a profit, pay fair wages, and cover rent in a prime location, but the margin here was too glaring for what was served. I genuinely thought they had served us all vegetarian omelettes on accident, it felt like an incomplete plate. I had never felt taken advantage of like I did when I received my meal, so I had to send it back to the kitchen. I swapped it for the roughly 13-inch pepperoni pizza ($23). For just $4 more, the contrast was very apparent. The pizza was fresh, delicious, well-portioned, and fed three of us (including the guests who kept their omelettes and were still hungry). While the staff resolved my plate graciously, the brunch menu as currently portioned falls short. If management adds proper sides or reworks the portions to match the pricing, it could be a solid brunch destination. Until then, we'll stick strictly to the pizza or maybe try out another one of their menus.

Service was decent but they were decidedly busier than they've been in the past. Ambiance felt like we were at...Cattlemen's. More of a sit down and enjoy yourself thing that Buckhorn with an older wooden feel to it. For kicks I started off with a Howdy Beer. Not sure who makes it, how epic it is or is not, nor any subtle notes of anything. It's a $4 can and it came with a nice cold glass. Potato skins, filled with the usual not-healthy-but-delicious goodness of bacon, cheese and green onions were perfect to start out. My Rodeo Burger was just as you'd expect from a steakhouse- wonderful beefy flavor with a rougher (larger?) texture than usual. So not like your average burger. Came with fried onions and sautéed mushrooms but we ordered a different burger (classic) so I put those onions on as well. Swiss cheese and peppercorn sauce made a great bite. Came with a load of fries and we subbed a salad for one of the orders. Didn't have any of the Raspberry Lemon Drop but heard no complaints about it either. They provided us with a supplementary gluten free menu so that was helpful. It's the place right off the freeway when heading to Sac/Tahoe from the bay and it's worth a stop. Dixon High School puts out a coupon book/card each year for a fee. This year the card costs $40 I believe so sure, throw in a bit for the Rams' seasons. Attached to the card came a cardboard ad/coupon page and there were two offers for $10 off of a $50 Cattlemen's purchase. So we used one of those. (Still have one more! Have to be sure to use it in the next 11 months) Left full with TONS of food to take home for a grand total of $49.93. They let it slide so a decent tip was left for our server.
