Stopped in before a basketball game last week. You order at the counter and then head to a table. Service was friendly and recommendations were provided. I went with the tri-tip sandwich. It was good, but it wasn't something I think I'd order again. Nothing that really stood out about it for me. I came on the perfect night: burger night. To my surprise, they had a vegetarian option, which is always a huge plus. I went with the Mac & Cheese Impossible Burger. At first it sounded like an odd combo, but wow--it was insanely delicious and mouthwatering. I usually never finish my food, but I devoured this one without hesitation. My photos are from various times, so I am sorry if I can't give you specifics. We get the monthly special flat bread every month, and their monthly soups and tacos are always delicious. We nearly always order off the monthly special menu, but we'll get the nachos once in a while, too. The chef is creative and buys local ingredients. I have been here a few times but the last two times I have noticed the food is not good. Just spent $52 for two beers and two entrees. My wifes Nashville Chicken Sandwich came out late and very burnt. She barely ate any of it. Didn't know I'd like this spot as much as I did. Well done! Location is good with lots of parking, interior is a whole vibe, pricing is fair, and the service is great. I really like this place. I went there twice in one week for happy hour. The first time I went, my friend treated me because I had some bad news in my family. We both have the Sauvignon Blanc from the MARLBORO region in New Zealand. We ordered the leak and caramelized onion dip and it was fantastic. We also had the braised pork tacos with corn tortillas and they were also very good. The staff is friendly and the service is fast. People who go there are also very nice and we had a couple of gentlemen that just came out to our table and started talking to us. It was really fun. There is an outside area and I believe people can bring their dogs on a leash, but I'm not too sure of that. I then went to happy hour with a different friend on March 31, which was a Tuesday and trivia night there ZAcH Citi Bruce. This time fish tacos were ordered and the leek and caramelized onion dip as well. The fish tacos were really really good. We also ordered another dish. I don't remember what it was called, but it was potatoes rolled out thin like a pizza crust which I thought was interesting. The potato crust were covered with arugula, Mexican chorizo and some type of sauce. We both agreed that well this dish was interesting. It missed the mark. I am certainly no chef but I think it could be really good but it just missed the mark on something. Maybe Basque, Teresa from Cory Brothers could be used instead of Mexican chorizo, but this is just a suggestion, I am certainly as I said no chef. My friend and I started sat at the bar and the bar and the tables are very beautiful. I think I remembered reading when this place first opened that the owners decided to save money by making their own tables. I believe they use Redwood planks and there is a nice glossy finish over them. The tables seemed to glow. My friend and I started to play trivia, which was very fun and the crowd really seemed to enjoy it. We had to leave a bit early cause my friend had to get to her daughter. As we left the MC of trivia said he was sad to see us go and hope that we would come back another time and I said we would. Treat yourself and go there for happy hour and that way you won't have to make dinner. I am not a beard drinker because I do not like hops but Sex Citi bruise does provide Pilsner's and a really yummy chocolate stout. I am sure there are other beers that are not hobby there but I did not try them as I like wine better. Many of my male friends do drink beer and they do love the beer there. I am blind, and I had some shamrock lights on my white cane which were turned on and and a couple of people commented on them. read more

Nice local pub that is off of 65th and 14th. I've gone here a couple times now with some of my buddies, and every time we get here the kitchen is either closed or about to close. So I'm never able to grab a bite to eat and a drink, because the kitchen closes at 8pm. There is however a Pizza spot right next door and since they were open still once when I arrived, I grabbed some food for my son and I. And one of the staff members here made a comment, about me bringing it back to their outside patio area. To which I replied that I ordered drinks here, my friends have drinks as well, your kitchen is closed and the Pizza spot is open. And what was I to do; order from the kitchen that's closed? That was the only issue I've had here, but any other time it hasn't been an issue. As far as their beer selection, they have a rotating menu that I think changes weekly. and at any one time will have at least a dozens beers, and or hard Kombucha's available. Their normal hours are only until 9pm, so don't expect to be here too late. According to my friends who were coming here pre-Covid, I think they used to be open a little later. But I could be wrong. Overall: Decent selection of drinks and a nice patio area which I always frequent. But with a bar that closes early and a kitchen that closes even earlier, I'm here for 1-2 drinks with friends and then out. read more

Been here a few times and always had a clean table, never super crowded during the week, and quick service to get something in draft. The selections, even if what I think is small, have always been great. One of them tasted just the a churro! Super yummy. A group of us from work met yesterday evening to surprise a previous coworker of ours to celebrate her retirement. When my husband and I arrived around 5pm, business was picking up and nearly every table inside was occupied. Tables outside were starting to fill up as well, despite it being a windy day! We had heard from my coworkers that the monthly Burger Night was a popular day to visit. We learned later that it was trivia night as well. We lucked out to be able to order right away with no line at the counter when we arrived. We got an order of onion rings and a Cali burger. My husband also ordered the Mama's Peaches sour. A staff member brought out items as they were ready, so we received our onion rings first and then our burger a little later. Both were really tasty, and I especially liked the green goddess sauce with the onion rings and the perfect cook on the juicy burger patty. We spent some time catching up with coworkers and then teamed up with a few to form a team for trivia night. The trivia was a lot of fun with a variety of themes and questions and our team ultimately ended up winning! I had a great first visit to Sac City Brews and am happy to have had the opportunity to visit and spend time with our work group. Prior to coming here I've only seen this place on delivery apps. It wasn't until one day my friend & I wanted to get mimosas & we were in the area. Initially we were trying to get a table at Mimosa House but the wait was too long, therefore we ended up here. It was a good choice coming here instead. We came on a Sunday afternoon & surprisingly it was not busy. Currently they have outdoor seating & it is very spacious. They welcome pets, customers were there chilling, family/friends hanging out, etc. This place is located by homes in a neighborhood so it wasn't a loud experience dining in outside. It's also in a small plaza with plenty of parking, so no need to worry about finding parking on the street or blocks away. The food here was amazing! I was able to order some tots & it was SO GOOD. It was topped with a lot of goodies like jalapenos, cheese, egg, and other sauces. I also ordered a breakfast burrito to go too because the menu made it sound so good. The price on these food items were pricey but the portions were a good amount. I couldn't finish my dish there so took the other half home for later. We got mimosas with our food & let me tell you... IT WAS SOME REAL GOOD MIMOSA! I say this because you could taste that there is more champagne than orange juice. Unlike other spots they may give you more juice than champagne. I only had one glass & I could already feel the alcohol hit me on my first few sips. Definitely will be back for the mimosas & the quiet ambiance. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating to choose from. They offer a pretty good selection of brews on tap and delicious food options where you're vegan are enjoy meat in your life. They have plenty of board games to play while your there. In the evenings it will become very busy so get there early if you plan on coming by after work or during the weekends. This hidden spot is amazing! first visit for a guest chef pop up and it was ON POINT! with it's wrapped around outdoor patio which is dog friendly , inside huge open seating area clean with bar on one side and bench tables on other that has a shelf with games to enjoy with friends and beer. Beer on Tap , menu above and on this night we visited it was Rice Beer and Korean appetizers that paired very well like Bulgogi Fries, tacos and Kimbap ...just needed a sweet dessert to pair with the beer too. They call this the neighborhood tap House but there's nothing neighborhood about this place. I've lived in this area for over 20 years and never experienced the service I received. I paid $45.19 for 2 beers, chicken nachos, chicken wings and fries. Since they have no kid friendly menu I ordered 2 small cheese crispers from their neighbor Milano's who by the way always has excellent pizza. As I walked in the same guy who took my order told me that no outside food can be brought in. Mind you I was still outside and even wearing their T-Shirt promoting their business! He then told me bringing in personal size cheese pizza is a HAZARD and HEALTH RISK. WTF! I told him I ordered the food for kids. I hadn't even touched my beer or food I ordered from them yet. This man expected me to eat food I just bought from him in front of my kids. Hell no, I put the untouched food I paid for right back on their bar. Word of mouth is a VERY POWERFUL thing and I know lots of people. I will NEVER go back to this establishment ever again. Good luck trying to survive the next 3 years.
