Fish and chips!
Derek W.

The Fat Rabbit is an is a cool British type pub located in the old Folsom district. Known for its relaxed atmosphere, traditional pub beer, and some great stables. One of those staples is Weiner Schnitzel, which is a favorite of mine. I went in on a Tuesday and found out they only serve it on Fridays so I thought I would try the fish and chips. The fish and chips were pretty good. You'll get a healthy portion of fish as well as potato wedges and some of the traditional fixings - vinegar etc if you choose to use them. The bar area has dart boards which we used to use when having work team events which was fun. Great place if you're looking for a fun place to hang out with friends!

This is just one example of disgusting!

This place is flat out disgustingly dirty!!!! Carpet is gross, tile is gross, and sticky counters. Dark, dirty bathroom with broken light and leaking sink. I do not think they have cleaned this place for a very long time or put any money into this place for years! Food was ok but I'm questioning the cleanliness of the kitchen. Will not be returning.

I stopped by for lunch this past Sunday, and it was a casual pub atmosphere with a bar at the center and plenty of seating in all directions, for dining in. The booth tables are very private as the wooden dividers are tall. I would call them seat backrests but they're not padded, so I don't think you'd wanna rest your back on these. There's a bit of animal decor and artwork on the walls but nothing noteworthy in the restaurant. Even the bunny sculptures I saw were minimal (and not fat at all). Guests grab a menu at arrival and seat themselves wherever they like, then walk up to the bar to place orders, and take a number so the staff can bring out the order to your table when ready. I got the fish n chips, and it was served to my table with great presentation. One piece was more than enough. The fish had a golden crisp exterior but was a bit soggy beneath the batter. It tasted fine, nothing special. I really enjoyed the fries though. A nice light crunch on the outside with great potato flavor.

The food was yummy and unique. I had a pretzel egg sandwich with pierogi. We had Bbq salmon, shepherd pie , some sausage egg things lol

Clam "chowder"

This place is cool. Seat yourself, grab menus by the door before you sit and order at the bar when you're ready. We only ordered food and it was just okay. The fish and chips... the fish was thickly battered (which we were not a fan of the thickness) there was a good tasting tarter sauce for it & the chips were thick steak fries, those tasted good. Then we had the scotch egg, it was overcooked, it should be soft boiled eggs not way over hard boiled and the outside was slightly burnt but should be a golden brown. The flavors were good in it. Lastly we ordered the clam chowder which was VERY thin based. It seemed more of a broth than chowder. Again, the flavor was good but it was just meh. Not sure if we would come back but if we do, we would probably try other things.

Fish and chips well loved!

It's a nice little place here. Tables, backyard. Nice bar, But, what you should absolutely try are the fish and chips! Fresh fish, fresh fruit, tasty potatoes. If I don't know any better, I would've thought they specialized in fish and chips. Perhaps next time I'll sit down and have a drink here. Great vibe also. loved it.!

As soon as you walk in, the nostalgia & warm, cozy vibes are apparent. The interior makes me want to dive into good food/conversation/company. That's how our visit can be summed up. It was a colder spring day when we visited so a warm dish was warranted. The shepherds pie was spot on; warmed my belly & heart. If you're looking for a lovely pub with all the feels + good eats, this is it. Place your order at the bar and a server will bring you the plates. It's a no fuss, DIY kind of spot. Looking forward to visiting again.

The Fat Rabbit in Folsom has such a great, low-key vibe that makes it the perfect spot to just hang out and relax. The food is way better than your typical pub fare--everything I've tried has been seriously delicious--and their beer list is honestly incredible with so many unique options to pick from. It's easily one of my favorite places to grab a pint and a great meal without any fuss, and I can't recommend it enough if you're looking for a solid neighborhood haunt.

A traditional public house! Beer on draft, pub food, cozy nooks to sit in, kids and dogs on the patio, and friendly staff. Paul and I had our first date here almost 5 years ago (aww) and now we take our doggie and little niece to enjoy a respite from the bustling Christmas events in the street. The vibe inside is warm and welcoming, dark woods and curtains in the windows. Outside seating is available and many bring their pooch with them. Order at the bar and the waitress will find you. You can get yourself some water at the jug by the front door while you wait. Nice space to sit in for a while, drink a beer, and enjoy your own or others company.

Fish and chips and turkey on rye in the background.

My daughter and I ordered from fat rabbit when we attended a listening party at uncle Charlie's. I ordered the fish and chips which was phenomenal and my daughter ordered the turkey with the coleslaw on rye which she absolutely loved. I love the fries too the gentleman that helped me on the phone was very kind and helpful when you went in to pick up the food both gentlemen were helpful and when asking for extra tartar sauce and ranch, I always hesitate that they're gonna charge you more but they didn't. I felt the price was fair. The amount of food was great. It'll be fun to go and actually sit at the restaurant in the future. We will be back. A suggestion would be since uncle Charlie's does not serve food is since you are so close is an online ordering system where someone can order online and pick it up or even pay a runner you could do some great service!

The pub atmosphere is great along with good food. Order at the bar and seat yourself. Service at the bar by a friendly lady and the food was delivered fairly quickly.

Since I live in Folsom The Fat Rabbit is my go to spot for a decent pint of Guinness. They serve their Guinness in a 20oz glass which in my opinion is the only way to serve a proper Guinness. Laid back atmosphere with a friendly staff and a good selection of British pub food.

Pretzel with beer cheese...regular size.

Gave this place another chance recently. Staff are friendly but the food is meh. The floors are in dire need of being cleaned/updated.

Does this bar ever do karaoke nights? It came up on a Yelp search. Is there a cover charge or admission fee?…

No cover charge and some patrons are known to sing after several shots of Jameson!🥃

This restaurant in Folsom, is it only bar, would be okay take child to?

I have seen several children there accompanied by adults, often as part of a group. This was during the day on a weekend, of course. There are a few booths and a couple of tables on the side in the front that are out of sight of the bar. Other… Read more

The place had a strong Vikings fan presence--plus one lone bartender proudly sporting a Seahawks jersey. I ordered the special grilled cheese with bacon and skinny fries, and it was fantastic. My husband had the pub burger with the oat bun and their amazing steak-cut fries. We also tried a cider and a Cali Squeeze--both great choices. The atmosphere was amazing, the food was delicious, and the service was warm and friendly. We'll definitely be back, especially because the fish and chips looked incredible. What a great way to welcome newbies to the neighborhood sports bar!

As the former Prime Minister, Winston Churchill (during WWII) of the United Kingdom would say,…read more"Success is not final, failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts." With that said, I am a sucker for a good British pub as I've always been a fan of the atmosphere that goes with it; lots of beer choices and of course, British food! This includes fish & chips, bangers & mash, Scotch eggs, Shepherd's pie, and much more. This takes me to the heart of Folsom where I had the chance to check out "Churchill Arms Pub". Located directly on East Bidwell St and in between Glenn Dr/Wales Dr in a very commercialized part of Folsom, this very popular pub has been in operation dating back to mid-2012. Prior to that, it was still a British pub but under a different name, Streets of London. And if you want me to go back even further, this is where a Denny's once stood for many years. During the times I have been here, parking has never been an issue as the primary businesses are a Dollar Tree and a McDonald's. Since it has been a few years, I figured why not give this place a try to relive some old memories. First of all, the interior is fairly dated but that adds to some of the rustic charm of the place. Don't expect shiny or upscale counters as this place has straight bar vibes. Here you will get that aroma of stale beer and a hint of some comfort food traveling through the vents. However, the bar area is quite spacious (with at least a dozen barstools). Additionally, they offer a lot of tables for actual dining as well as a billiards table, a dartboard, arcade machines, and a respectable amount of TV's for watching the games. The layout is quite typical of what you'd see at other sports bars/pubs/restaurants. As I previously mentioned, the menu is quite extensive as they carry a ton of British-inspired dishes. Additionally, they carry a nice variety of burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, soups, salads, appetizers, and kids meals. Beer selection is also quite extensive as is a huge assortment of spirts/hard liquor drinks. Since I had just eaten about an hour prior to arriving here, I was craving a refreshing cold beer. Therefore, I settled with their "Mango Wheat Ale" on tap which was a fairly reasonable $6.75 (as of mid-2026). My bartender was sweet and accommodating as was the vibe I got from the patrons that were enjoying their time there. I will say that my time here was well spent as I had thoroughly enjoyed my beer. However, the ambiance and atmosphere left a lot to be desired. Some of the negatives were several flies swarming throughout the inside of the building as well as it not being very sanitary. Some of the fixtures looked as if they hadn't been cleaned in years so I hope the back kitchen isn't as bad as the main area where customers sit. All in all, I would recommend coming here for the drinks but as for the cleanliness, the food might be a hit or miss. With that said and done, I am giving "Churchill Arms Pub" just an average three-star rating.

That level of care really stands out and makes a big difference. Their food timing estimates are good, which I always appreciate, and everything feels well run and organized. Definitely recommend.

We decided to try friends. When we walked in, it was completely empty. One table inside had two people seated and one table outside had two people there. We sat on patio, it is quiet and nice to feel like you are in the woods with trees and foliage all around.. Nice and peaceful. The tables looked like the "old" Benihana type of tables with the grill pan in the middle. They looked dirty but it I think they are just dated. Not a problem for us as we tend to like "hole in the wall" type places and that is the vibe this place gives. Our waitress was nice just seemed shy. Music genre was oldies. We ordered a jalapeño burger and the grilled chicken club sandwich. The jalapeño burger was supposed to be 1/2 lb Angus beef. It did have good flavor and cooked right, but it was a very small burger. Hubby felt that it couldn't be 1/2lb. For the price it was just too small. $18. The grilled chicken avacado club sandwich had one slice of bacon on it, not a deal breaker but the chicken wasn't grilled. Not sure how it was cooked, but not on a grill. It had a lot of seasoning on it and yet the sandwich was underwhelming. The produce seemed like it was yesterday's produce. The fries were also just ok. Didn't seem like there was any salt. They did sprinkle some chopped cilantro on top which looked nice. Overall we did enjoy the patio and peacefulness of our lunch there, and we do hope to see some improvements in quality and maybe better portion sizes for the cost. We will give it a shot another time, maybe dinner time when they are a little busier.

This was actually the first time I visited the entire downtown Roseville area, and I was pleasantly surprised there was a parking garage since all the parking spots in front of the establishment were occupied. After a few minutes mulling over what to get, I ended up getting the French Dip with duck fat fries. I also tried their Divinity Stout. Wow. The food - Amazing! Really enjoyed the French Dip - well sized portion and ended up having leftovers that I was able to enjoy a few hours later ha! The Stout (Divinity) - I need to go back and buy some bottles to go.
